We love App Cookie Co! Always delicious. My husband loves the chocolate chip. I've loved every flavor I've tried, but my all time is the Blueberry White Chocolate chip oatmeal...amazeballs. The last special cookie I had was Lemon Lavender and I think I died of happiness, only to be resuscitated to write this review. Keep up the good work! read more

Appalachia Cookie Co. - Lemon lavender, mind blown. - Bakeries Near Me - Boone, North Carolina

I got a coupon for a free cookie, so I decided to check the place out (I mean, it's FREE). I got the Ron Swanson with Jack Daniels, bacon, maple syrup and dark chocolate. My sister got the cheesecake, my mom got the salted caramel and my dad also got the Swanson. None of us liked ours. They were very cakey, almost bready. It wasn't really like a cookie. The Jon Swanson just kinda tasted like fake bacon with a little bit of gross chewy bacon in it. The cheesecake was very gross. The salted caramel was probably the best out of the three, but it still wasn't very good. I would much rather have a toll house break and bake cookie than an Appalachia Cookie Co. cookie. I ordered the $0.99 ice cream and it was not even worth a dollar. You know those little plastic cups with lids that you get sauce in? Well, they didn't even fill that up. The lady at the counter was nice though. I'm just really glad it was f read more

Amazing, fresh out of the oven cookies. Anything you want, made to order. Cookies are huge. Prices are high but well worth it. Be ready to wait 15-20 minutes for your cookies to bake. May want to call in your order ahead of time. read more

Wonderful hot cookies. Specialty flavors monthly. Cotton Candy today. I prefer plain ol chocolate chip, they did tell me into trying the blueberry white chocolate. Impressed! $16.99 dozen takes a star away. Staff super patient with us choosing our flavors. read more

My son and I visited this bakery on a complete whim one Saturday night after deciding we wanted to indulge our sweet tooth a bit while on a mini vacation to the mountains. The staff was polite and the boxes on the walls that folks have decorated makes for a great way to spend your time if you order your cookies to be baked fresh (which we did). The cookies themselves sounded like they'd be incredibly indulgent and delicious based on their descriptions and the examples in the case. We ordered a half dozen as a result. The unfortunate reality is they were just ok. I ordered one particular cookie that I expected to be bursting with flavor (maple, bacon, bourbon) and it was really unimpressive. The bacon was chewy and all I could really taste was the bourbon. That's just one example though. All 5 other cookies were similar in let down. They were, as I said, just ok. Now that being said, I was also under the impression that the cookies were specialty recipes that this bakery made and sold but, don't be fooled. When you place an order they grab big tubs of pre-bought dough and spoon them onto the baking sheets. That's all. Overall it satisfied the sweet tooth but wasn't at all what I expected from the build up and other reviews. read more

We ordered a dozen cookies in a variety of flavors. All were great but the blueberry oatmeal was the absolute best by far!

Amazing cookies. They are always fresh so I recommend calling ahead so you don't have to wait 26-30 minutes standing there!

Love the cookies at Appalachia and they have gluten free for my husband and daughter in law.

The cookies are amazing. We get cookies here often because the cookies are so great, but we hardly ever have a good experience with service. Here are things we've dealt with: missing cookies in order, not receiving online order, online order service not working, staff unable to refund for cookies not received. Just be prepared to have high levels of patience when going here. Apparently we think it's worth it because we haven't stopped going back. EDIT: They seem to be getting it together. Service has been much better the last 4 times we've gone. read more

Delicious and fresh. Delivery is super fast and drivers are friendly. Appalachia cookie co is the best dessert you'll find in town, period. You can also buy the cookies in bulk and they stay fresh for days! Overall, Appalachia cookie co is a great new local business in Boone. If you want fresh, warm, delicious desserts, this is the place to be. read more

I highly recommend the Yosef cookie. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as they bake your cookies fresh but I promise it is well worth it. Easily the best cookies in the high country and there delivery service is fast and highly reliable. read more

Believe the hype! These cookies are truly amazing. Freshly baked. The right crispness and softness combined in one. Worth the wait. All flavors were fantastic. read more

Love this place. The blueberry white choc chip is my favorite. Made to order, fresh cookies! Make sure you call ahead if you don't have time to wait. Takes 20-25mins for the cookie(s) to be done. Update: They now offer cookies that you don't have to wait for and will heat them up if you ask them to so you can eat them in the car. This seems to be a popular option so if you need multiples of a popular kind, may be easier to call ahead and place the order. read more

As always, our cookies didn't disappoint. We stop here every time we're in town. We bought two dozen assorted cookies. Our favorites are the Ron Swanson, molasses, and brownie cookie. The person that helped us was friendly and super nice! I will continue to return each time we visit the area. read more

I randomly decided to do this around 11 pm. Ordering was easy and the cookies arrived still warm in the box at the exact moment they were suppose to. The staff was friendly when I called to make sure I had put in a delivery and not a pickup order. The cookies and milk were great and a nice little treat to have them fresh made. Side note I did have an issue finishing my order online getting an error. Come to find out that it was because I was choosing something out of stock "cheesecake cookie" didn't get to try them but I'm assuming being sold out means they rock :) read more

Great cookies, but the "tool" answering the phone needs to find a safe place to hide in.

Lost my business due to incompetence and poor customer service. Online order was lost. When I called several days later to check on the order, no one could be of help. Employees undertrained (not their fault). David Holloman's (owner) lack of management & people skills will be its demise. A resolution came after 3 calls to the owner & another 2 to the store. Sad to have this occur but that's how the cookie crumbles... read more

I tried to order ahead 2 separate times. They took almost 40 minutes to fill order and I needed to go up to the counter to see if the order was ready. When I received all of the cookies were cold! Not what I expect when asking for fresh baked. Completely disappointed. I used to love app cookie co but won't be coming back. read more

Went to this place the other weekend when I came down for my brothers graduation. The cookies were FANTASTIC! They are open really late and cookies are made to order which made them all the better. Love the cheesecake, white chocolate chip macadamia nut, and one that contained blueberries and oatmeal(forgot the name). Staff was very helpful and patient while we ordered! Would highly recommend and would go again. Only downside is it's a little expensive, but you should definitely try it :). read more

Most awesome cookies Ever! Made fresh! Loved the blueberry white chocolate cookie! The staff was super amazing and kind! Yum!!!!

Huge variety of cookies all made right when you order them! We tried the bourbon chocolate chip, pumpkin, and snickerdoodle cookie, and they were all equally amazing. They also offer milk and soymilk to go with them which was great! read more

This is by far the best cookie company ever. We went to Boone and heard we needed to stop in and get some cookies. We went and were absolutely amazed by how fresh and good they are. I am also gluten free and was so excited that they offered gluten free options and they didn't taste like cardboard or crumble when you picked them up. I have told many people about you guys and even had some order online and I placed an order as well. Bummed there isn't one closer to me (Raleigh) but the shipping prices aren't bad. read more

Great Cookies! Hot and fresh! Pumpkin is a great fall flavor! Hubby loved the chocolate chip. Great to go dessert to take back to lake for the weekend! read more

Appalachia Cookie Co. - Awesome !!!! - Bakeries Near Me - Boone, North Carolina

The Cookies are delicious but the service is sub par. I waited for a long period of time just to purchase a gift card in the store. They need more employees to work the register and answer phones. Also store seems disorganized, the front part is cluttered. read more

Since my time at app, I deff support Appalachian cookie company. It's convenient and I normally pick up my order and the employees are super friendly and helpful. Friends and family outside of Boone thinks it's a treat when I bring app cookie company. I highly recommend it and my dad is fond of the Mexican cinnamon cookies. read more

Damn good cookies. The blueberry-white chocolate-oatmeal cookie is the bomb. Their shipping works well, too. Great cookies. Great business.

I ordered cookies for delivery. 13 hours later I still haven't received them. I got a confirmation email and everything. Terrible service on the phone as well. The guy had no idea what to say. I am very disappointed because I do enjoy their cookies. Every time I have ordered delivery from here it takes an hour longer than the estimated wait time. It's not worth it. read more

I ordered these cookies to my hotel room and it was excellent. It tasted fresh and the quality of the ingredients were outstanding. I wish I could have these cookies everywhere! read more

To put it simply, these cookies are absolutely amazing. It is a travesty that I graduated AppState and was unable to experience the deliciousness of this cookies while I was there as they were not open yet! Every time I visit Boone, I have to make a to go order to pick up these cookies. You cannot go wrong with the Chocolate Chip, Ron Swanson, or the Yosef-the latter of which just so happens to be vegan, gluten free and is has coconut, what more do you want in life? Im not vegan or gluten free but I do appreciate the kind cashier who asked if I needed my cookies to be separated in boxes due to allergy issues. That type of customer service goes a long way and I hope to see Appalachian Cookie Co. expand beyond Boone and into Charlotte so I can eat their cookies more regularly! Keep baking! read more

Worst experience I've had. Came in around 4:00 and ordered 4 cookies and 3 milks. I was told that it would take 20-30 minutes to receive my order. Almost an hour later, still waiting, I was told they were out of the Ron Swanson's. I had ordered 3 of them. So you mean to tell me, you had me waiting in there and knew you were out of the cookies I had ordered? And did not offer to compensate me for waisting my time. Horrible customer service. I used to think so highly of this place when I went to App. read more

What a great place! Cookies are fantastic. Have some different types of cookies that are very tasty like the Blueberry Oatmeal and the most recent Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter !! You can order in advance too! read more

OMG!!! It's cookies. WARM cookies. That they deliver to your door. What's not to love? My daughter had been hinting about this place for a while but I'd not given in until I visited her one weekend and we indulged a late night craving. We tried a variety - the cheesecake, white chocolate macadamia nut, cranberry walnut, mint choc chip and Ron Swanson. The Ron Swanson was yucky - completely nasty. But the others were soooooooooooo good. She thinks she's taking the leftovers back to the dorm. She'll have to pry them from my cold dead fingers. Definitely worth the tip and delivery charge. read more

I love App Cookie soon much! I've tried most of the cookies they have an I have loved every single one. My favorites are the Cheesecake and the White Chocolate Blueberry! Soon good! They are always super fast with their delivery and with take up orders. The staff are super friendly and awesome and you can't beat the price! For real one of my favorite places in Boone! read more

Had some cheesecake cookies delivered from here the other night, and it was the perfect snack. The cookies were still super warm like they came right out of the oven. The flavor was very rich. My only complaint is the price, but you get what you pay for. The cookies aren't small. read more

The best cookies I've ever had. Worth the 15 minute wait for fresh from the oven deliciousness. Wish I lived closer but will definitely be making out-of-the-way trip here! read more

World's best cookies. Nothing compares. Order ahead because they do not have any cookies baked until ordered.

The cookies are delicious and that's the only reason this place gets 3 stars. The tall, blonde guy taking my order was clearly in a rush to get me out and was audibly talking poorly about his coworkers and other customers. Horrible decorum, very disappointed in my service. read more

Of all the cookie companies in all the world, this is one that dares to do things differently, and does them so, so right. Late night delivery, quality products, and some of the most unique flavors around (the recent seasonal "Candy Crush" cookie was a hit with friends, family, and my belly) make this a must-have when in Boone. Oh, and they SHIP TO ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES TOO. :) read more

Definitely recommend this place, cookies are very good, especially if you have time to order them fresh!!! I'd go outta the way just to stop and get more cookies. Currently at the time of this review they have a free cookie giveaway if you check-in through Yelp!
