Had Apollo give a quote for a master bath remodel. Need to move a shower drain 12 inches and install 2 shower configurations. The walls are open allowing for open access to complete the work. Estimates to complete the job was 1 day of labor, however, I was speechless when the quote came back at $2,800! Apparently I went into the wrong profession. Materials won't exceed $200, leaving an absurd amount for labor. Thanks to YouTube and a little Apollo overpriced motivation, I'll be taking on my own plumbing project (already planning on doing the rest of the work). Simply unbelievable. read more

I called Apollo to replace the wax ring seal on my master bath toilet. The returned my request through Angies list within 2 hours and had a plumber out the very next day. Matthew, the plumber, was even able to arrive early. He was incredibly courteous, knowledgeable and communicative about the process of the repair. Unfortunately upon lifting the toilet he found some water damage. Matthew walked me through my options. When I decided that I didn't want to put the toilet back on, but rather contain the problem and have it treated, he contacted another company Apollo works with to assess the issue. He stayed until they arrived (just in case I decided to go ahead and put the toilet back on). While this new crew tried to explain to me the process of the repair, I got confused. Matthew stayed and translated for me :) until he was sure I understood what needed to be done and felt comfortable with the new group. He charged me only for taking the toilet up and gave me his contact information. He said that if I start to feel uncomfortable with anything or had more questions, I could give him a call anytime. I was super impressed with Apollo and although I hope I never need them :) they have my business from now on. read more

I did a 'live chat' with Apollo plumbing's web site after spending the better part of the morning trying to get a plumber to come out to my home (it was Friday morning when I heard dripping in an interior wall of our home). I already had an appointment with another plumbing company for the following Thursday (ugh!). After the live chat, Cory called me to let me know that Alex was on his way after his lunch break. I received an email from Apollo with a link to Alex's bio - I knew who was showing up at my door before he arrived. After I described our problem (I heard 8-10 drips in the wall after a shower on two consecutive days), Both Alex & his helper agreed that I may simply be hearing dripping inside the pipes vs. a leak & recommend I call The Flood Guys right away to do some leak detection. They did not want to cut into our walls without making sure they were indeed damp and wanted a higher level of service than a moisture meter. The Flood Guys (that's another awesome review) came out that day - and Alex & his helper left & said Apollo would contact me for a Monday appointment if it was deemed necessary. They came, they saw.....they charged me NOTHING. Apollo Plumbing gives a discount to military, educators, Boeing employees as well as other groups (check their web site). I really appreciate the quickness and thoroughness of Apollo plumbing and their field plumber. They helped me with my home where I had to use a licensed plumber to renew a toilet wax ring and ensure a seal on a clean out cap. The plumber was very professional and courteous. He knew I could do the job myself but he let me be assured that there was a great company and a great warranty that stood behind the work...not to mention he was very experienced. I'm having to knock off a half star because it was indeed pretty expensive and another half star because I learned there would have been a trip charge if I had only gotten an estimate without having the work be performed at the time of arrival. Called on Fri evening for a plugged sewage main in the house. When I was called back about 20 minutes later, asked what their charges maybe aprrox. and received no answer. My fault for not getting the approx. charge. Was given a 2 hour window on Saturday. They arrived at the end of the window, asked the technician what the rates were and was quoted $550 for the unplugging of the drain and because of no clean out an additional $350 to pull the toilet. For that kind of money I would be money ahead to buy my own snake and have it forever. They were over twice the price of the company who completed the job. I'm very thankful to Joan and Mark from Apollo Plumbing. I had a leaking facet in the kitchen. First I have checked if I can see whether it is leaking from any tube connections where I might be able to do something myself. It looks like it was leaking from within the facet under kitchen counter. I didn't no think that I can do anything about it. I have called to a few plumbing services from the neighborhood from Yelp. Since the facet was only leaking while on, it was not urgent. Still I was hoping to take care of it quickly. Most services offered to come in a few days. One offered to make an appointment in a couple of weeks. When I called Joan, the appointment was made for the same day for one hour after my call. Around the time of appointment, Mark has called me. He asked me about a facet and whether it was a pullout kitchen facet. When I have confirmed it, he suggested on the phone to pull it out and inspect it. Right then and there I saw that connection of the flexible tube to the faucet head was the problem. I realized that I was able to take care of it myself. I'm very grateful to Mark. Bottom line is that he helped me to solve the problem in 5 minutes ... and for free ... and on the phone. If I ever will have problems with plumbing in the future, I'm calling Apollo Plumbing right away. read more

I had 3 issues that I needed fixed. One I really needed to be dealt with at least within a day. They were able to send someone out within 2 hrs! (No emergency charge.). Had a break in my sewer pipe, was quoted and charged $3300 to fix about a 4ft section, total length of pipe is about 25-30ft, from outside the house to the main city sewer line. Anyways, paid for it had to get it fixed bit the bullet. Had them come out again for a similar problem about 8 months later, nothing of their fault but then was quoted $4500 to replace the whole pipe 25-30ft. The math doesn't add up for the labor and materials?! Now why didn't they give me this option the first time, I would have much rather paid more to replace the whole thing, than just a 4ft section for $3300. Lame!!! read more

Our gas water heater failed late on a Thursday night leaking all over our garage. I had read reviews online about Apollo and decided to give them a chance based on the positive feedback they had received. I called Apollo first thing the following morning, Friday and talked to Dan the owner. He said he would have someone out to my house within two hours. A short time later Mark one of his plumbers called me to check in and told me when he would be arriving. Mark arrived on time and quickly got to work getting our new water heater installed. Mark was friendly, courteous and professional. Mark explained what he was doing and gave me some pointers on how to extend the life of the new water heater he installed for us. He got the tank installed, connected the gas lines, and lit the pilot light for me. Mark made sure to have me open all the water faucets in the house to get all the air out of the lines before he left in case for some reason there were any problems. Mark made sure all my questions were answered and explained all the work he had completed. Today I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from Dan who was calling to follow up and make sure everything was working with the new tank and see if I had an questions or concerns. I had a water leak in my ceiling this past 4th of July. Called 3 different plumbers and the only one who called back was Dan from Apollo plumbing. Mark was able to come out Sunday. Mark and I tried for 2 hours to replicate the leak but we could not locate it . 15 minutes after he left it started leaking again . I finally saw that a small nail punctured the water line . I called Mark back and told him i found the leak . I told him I could hold out until Monday but he insisted on coming out again at 530 pm on a Sunday. He fixed the leak quickly and effectively. I scheduled Apollo plumbing to replace a outdoor hose spigot. They were scheduled to come out on a Friday between 9 am-11 am. At 10:30 I received a call stating that the plumber had called in sick. I rescheduled for the following Friday from 9:00 am-11:am. At 9:00 am I received a call stating that Friday was their emergency day and they could not make it out to replace the spigot. They say you get what you pay for. Not these guys! Its somehow the opposite. Had to call them during a pipe leak emergency. $1600 for the job, valve cost was $200. The rest? perhaps labor for a 1.5 hour job. That's the highest paid hourly job I have ever seen. Still worst part? They fixed it wrong - twice!! I needed a sump pump installed to meet a buyer's request from the inspection. Apollo Plumbing understood that timing was critical to keep our closing on schedule and had a plumber out the next day to provide an estimate. Diego, dispatched plumber, was patient with all my questions and I had a lot of questions, since I read up online about various sump pumps...trying to be somewhat informed prior to the appt. I cannot comment on the quality of the work personally, since I am not going under the house. However, my perfectionist dad did go under the house to inspect the job and he was impressed with the professional job Diego did. Apollo was supposed to come give me an estimate on my rental, they went ahead and did the job without telling me and charged me a lot more than the other estimates. They lowered it to the average bid I had received after I complained. I also had a drain cleared at my house which I was charged 500 dollars for, I thought that seemed really expensive, especially since the problem came right back a couple days later and still has issues. Made an appointment for about a week out, but someone called in sick so they had to reschedule, then the next time they sent me an email that they were coming out the next day but then that was a mistake so they didn't come out, and made another appt for next morning. Once again someone called in sick so they had to move that appt to later that day. Finally Mark B and his assistant showed up to replace a spigot on the side of my house because it froze over the winter and split. At first they said they didn't have the part so I told them it was ok to use the one I bought that was a little to long, but then they found a shorter one in the van. Then they gave me a quote of $410 for something that was going to take less than an hour to do. So I said no thank you, then Mark got irritated and mad that I was not going to do that. Long story short had it done two days later from a different plumber for $160. Don't fall for their flat pricing system. read more

A tough job, that included cutting of multiple sections of pipe, replacing waste overflow to my tub, and replacing 3 old metal joints in the piping. We used Apollo for our back flow system in N Everett and were very happy with their work, so I was glad to call them when I was in a pinch to get a bathroom vanity installed before family arrived. The scheduling went great, and there were a few issues that I took care of myself. I am surprised to see folks indicating they are reasonably priced. I was charged over $150 per hour for labor, which seems extraordinary for the simple task of hooking up a bathroom vanity (water hoses and drain only - the plumbing was existing). Mark estimated 2 hours, which I questioned, and he indicated he over estimates so as not to over charge. Great. Then, he finished at 2 hours to the minute (which included a 30 minute trip to get a part). I also felt he was unprofessional for the repetitive criticism of the quality of the parts that came with the vanity - saying they were cheap, garbage, useless, etc. One comment would have been sufficient for me to get the point. I will unfortunately be looking for another plumbing service in the future. read more

5 stars for service. Alex was professional at changing out my kitchen faucet, everything is working well and was done nicely. I have been an Apollo customer for a very long time. I have recommended them to others. My issue this time was with the price. I was made aware of the price and I agreed to the charge - after I picked myself up off the floor. $520 for the work alone, I supplied the faucet (fotunately I had a coupon which brought the price down to $475). However, this was approximately an hours worth of work. We were coming off of 2 weeks of having a trickle of lukewarm water coming out of our kitchen faucet, so we bit the bullet. Just seemed to be supre expensive to me and I will be shopping around in the future. It's a shame, because I really do like their work and the company a lot. If all plumbers charge this much, well, then we'll be back. read more

I want to say thank you for the excellent customer service that we received from Apollo. I had a large sewer line back up and needed some urgent care. I used their instant chat format on-line and was talking to a real person within minutes at late hour of the night. They logged my issue and committed to getting back to me as soon as people were in the office. They did one better : I started getting text messages from them at just after 6am the next morning. Samara was gathering more information from before she even got into the office!! She then set me up with first available appointment and sent Zach out. I think he was there by 9am that morning. He made us feel very comfortable with his competence and clear run through of the options. He prepared three quotes for me and made his recommendation. I compared this by quoting one other company that I had dealt with in the past but decided to give the business to Apollo mainly due to my confidence in their customer service. They say customer service wins business ... in this case they are right. I won't go into the dirty details, but the job entails some significant digging work at multiple locations of the pipe and splicing of new pipe with old clay pipe. Zach did an amazing job over about three days, with half of that being in cold rain. He kept me up to date with progress, took pictures for documentation when I asked and overall kept up the great customer service. To put cherry on top, he set my back yard back to better than it was when he came, building back a small retaining wall I had taken down and stacking paver bricks on a fire pit I was in the middle of designing/trying out (that wasn't even part of the job!). Our copper pipe burst underneath the drywall in our laundry room last night. The only way to secure the water was with the main water valve. We called for emergency service through our home warranty who contracted out to Sno-King Plumbing LLC on Friday evening. I received a text from the plumber he would be out in the am at 6,7,8. We agreed on 9 am. He didnt make it out until 11:30 at which point I got fed up and called Apollo Plumbing who was out in less than an hour with no emergency fee. Quinn was quick, knowledgeable and had us back up and functional within 30 minutes of his arrival with a 5% military discount. The service fee was $15 less than Sno-King and waved for having the repair completed. Thank you, Quinn! You are amazing! We found our plumber. read more

Called Apollo plumbing and they were able.to come out the same day. Arrived at 9:20 am and told them the problem. I asked how much it would be, I was told it was $300 just for them to come to the house. Figuring I was in it for that amount already, I decided to have the repair done. The total to repair pvc pipe was $650+. In hindsight, I called several other plumbing companies for their hourly rate which they provided without hesitation. Apollo plumbing will not give an hourly rate. Apollo will not breakdown their costs. Apollo plumbing will not allow anyone to speak to the owner. The plumber, Alex, Finally called me back to discuss the price. He denied telling me the service charge was $300. The phone was answered promptly, the plumber arrived on time but DO NOT HIRE APOLLO PLUMBING!! Their price is outrageously inflated!! The part of the job that I did not look at before they left was shoddy. It appears I am not the only customer Apollo plumbing took advantage of during an emergency. My regular plumber was on vacation. I tried Apollo based on Yelp reviews. Leak at my shower connector for cold water. Wall was already cut open and the leak location known. For a 8" piece of hose pipe, a brass connector and 10 minutes of labor it was $300. Crazy expensive. He was here for 15 minutes. I wasn't charged that much to put in a hot water tank with my normal plumber. The guy was nice and he did a fine job screwing in the new piece. But.... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! read more

$1300 to roto-root our line. We really got taken to the cleaners by these guys. We just moved to Edmonds from California and I had a clogged toilet and bathtub that didn't drain when we got here. I called through about eight companies on yelp and no one could come out until the next week. Apollo plumbing moved some scheduling around and got someone out here the next day. They wanted all the money upfront with no guarantees that what they did would work. He was here for about an hour and a half to two hours. I didn't know much about plumbing and we only have one toilet that wasn't working in a house with six people. I've asked around since and been told $600-800 would be the norm. I totally feel taken advantage of. I really should have researched on Google what the job that they were going to do would cost on average before paying them. Do not call them unless you already know what a plumbing job should cost because they are worse than a sleazy mechanic taking advantage of an old woman. read more
