Tonight we came to celebrate my aunts birthday and we are a party of 14. We have received the BEST service from Jazimine (sorry if misspelled) we were a big party with many requests and the restaurant was pretty full, we didn't ever need anything. Water, drinks, ice, everything was brought to us before even having to request it. She served us with a smile at all times. A. MUST. GO. TO. RESTAURANT.!!!!! Not only was the service amazing but the food was cooked to perfection. I personally ordered the Arugula Avocado Salad without protein and it was delicious... everything I wanted and more...a few of the family ordered The Carbonara and some pizza that was also cooked to perfection. We always go to the one in the Dadeland area and it's always delicious BUT 40th was pretty awful. I ordered takeout and what a mistake. Our vodka ziti was ok, the lasagna was too small for the price and by far the pizza was the worst. It was a pizza cracker. They completely overcooked it to the point of drying the sauce and cheese. I like the pizza here, which is a thin genuine Italian style. What I don't like is the fact that they screw up my take out orders on a regular basis and don't try to make it right. Twice, I've ordered a pizza on the phone, come in only to discover that (first time) they made a small, I ordered a large. Did they offer me the small to take or an app while I waited? Nope! (Did they actually make the small or just forget? Considering what happened just now, I suspect the latter.) So, I just placed an order for another pizza for pick up. The guy tells me it will be ready in fifteen minutes. Wow, faster than I expected. Must be that big oven of theirs. Ok, I hustle over. Arrive. Pay. Oops we forgot to make it. Mind waiting? Well I guess not. They offer me a glass of water. How nice. Staff is pleasant but the mistakes are a little much. For my money is this is right on par with Pomodoro's on Aragon but considerably below Terre del Sapore, a wonderful pizza place on Giralda with great atmosphere staffed by authentic Italians. I can't remember how I found the place but I believe it was on Yelp, and I was super excited about their pizza. I ordered and paid extra for whatever I wanted on each of the two pizzas. I believe the total could have been almost $50.00, when all was said and done. My boyfriend picked them up, and when we got the pizzas home it was like they were running out of the ingredients. I couldn't understand it because they told me on the phone, it was a slow Saturday afternoon. My boyfriend added pepperoni and they were very sparse. I added vegetables and it was the same. The taste wasn't bad, but this was super disappointing! It was like they didn't care how they put it together. This happens sometimes with takeout and delivery orders, but it is a shame because what could be a great turn-on experience, becomes a total turn-off! Went here cause the original one on US 1 is awesome. while the service was excellent- the food was awful. Chicken Parmesan tasted like NOTHING. I have always gone to the original Pizza Brooklyn and I was hesitant to try the new location because sometimes when restaurants add more locations, it usually does not work out quite the same but in this case, I have been so impressed with the service and the quality of food! I love the decor and ambiance, it had such a cool vibe, yet still warm and inviting. The hostess was very helpful and even gave our entire party wine as we waited to be seated.I am so Impressed with the fact that the owner remembers my name and always goes out of his way to make sure things are going well. There are signature dishes we tend to stick to but this time we tried one of their specials and we were just blown away with the creativity and flavors!!! Its well worth the price ! I also Love the new bar set up because we really enjoy a nice bottle of wine and its so helpful to have such a nice range of selections with knowledgable employees that can suggest great wine. I wandered into this place wanting to grab a quick lunch between appointments and honestly didn't expect much. I ordered the frisée salad with lardons the first time and WOW was it good! Today I came back for that salad but the eggplant parm caught my eye. I ordered it and the pasta was perfectly al dente delicious sauces and the homemade mozzarella cheese was to die for. Perhaps this visit for us was a "one off", but we were really disappointed. We ordered the filet mignon that came with French fries. We wanted to substitute French-fries for something else but the waiter informed us that the restaurant does NOT allow substitutions. I find that absurd, - and wasteful. What's the difference if you provide a small salad, pasta, or some other side-dish in lieu of the fries? The service was extremely slow and our waiter was inattentive to our table. I'll probably give this place another shot, - but if the owner is reading this, - how about allowing substitutions of side-dishes (even if there's an up-charge); you'll please the customer and you won't waste food that'll be otherwise left on the plate? read more

It almost tasted like the filling for pumpkin pie that comes out of a can! Gross! I love pumpkin ravioli, but this was not even edible, in my opinion. I had maybe two raviolis and threw the rest in the garbage. My daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs, the meatballs were super sour and the spaghetti sauce was a combination of salty and sour. She was only able to have a little bit and we threw the rest away! My son and husband had the carbonera and that was ok. Honestly, the best part of our dinner order were the side salads. I'm extremely disappointed because this place is close to my home and I was really hoping to enjoy my food and order in the future. I decided to try this pizza place out it was the worst decision I made. I should have ordered from Dominos. The pizza was cold when I picked it up the sauce had a funny taste. doesnt look like much from the outside, especially when next to Matsuri who has been there for such a long time but once walking in the restaurants atmosphere is something not to be expected. the staff is incredibly friendly and the service provided was impeccable. besides the service, the food was incredibly delicious as well and came in just a short amount of time. Apizza Brooklyn provides a large selection of wines and a variety of different appetizers and entrees. definitely will be coming back here with everyone i know. Highly disappointed with this location. I am a loyal customer of the AB in Pinecrest BUT because this location is closer, I decided to buy takeout from here instead. The girl at the door is not very pleasant. She did not smile or greet me properly. When I said I was picking up she simply pointed to the bar area. Second, I ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo (not the kid one) and got a kid-sized portion!!! I noticed when I got in my vehicle. I went back and they all looked at me like "how dare I ask for more" when im reality I was getting ripped off!!! I went through many approvals before "the manager" took it to the kitchen. I waited another 5 minutes and then when "the manager" came back with my food walked to me with no lid on my food (exposing it and cooling it down) to show me he had put more and insinuating it was as a courtesy. Give me a break I paid for a Fettuccine Alfredo not kid-sized FA! Will definitely not return. Rather drive further!!! Thumbs DOWN with this location (not bc of the food but bc of the staff). Nice dinning environment and atmosphere. Carolina our server was amazing on our first visit. The manager walks around getting feedback from the guests. The eggplant parmigiana is amazing. The Real Deal desert is unbelievable and delicious. Prices are reasonable and the menu items are diverse with typical Italian favorites. Been back two more times and have been pleased except for the last time when our server forgot out Garlic Bread Knots, which are great, after a few times being reminded. We absolutely love APizza Brooklyn in Kendall but unfortunately, the bird road location is not even a shimmer of the other location. We waited for a good 20 minutes for someone to take our order and about another 45 minutes for our dish. The restaurant only had about 3 more tables that came in AFTER us. Two other tables got their food before us while we still sat there waiting. I finally asked for the manager and all he said was "I'm sorry." Horrible customer service and will most definitely not be returning. We prefer to make the drive to the other location where the food and customer service is a priority! read more
