RUN! . . I had a re-treatment of an older root canal (from a different state). This should have been easy right? It was infected. The canal that didn't get done was calcified. The doctor, Michael Morris, continued drilling and poking and pushing and pulling for 2 hours guys. A Re-Treatment! No antibiotics were prescribed and as I was walked to the front to pay, I was handed a sheet (pic below) and told Advil is the preferred pain medication. This was my 8th root canal and I can assure you Advil is not the preferred pain medication. About 4 hours later I am howling in pain. I can't stress the howling enough. The Dr is called and he states he should have prescribed an antibiotic... You Think??? I am prescribed a zpack (still no pain meds) and start getting worse. 3 days later I can no longer lay on that side of my face, I have a horrible headache on that side and liquid is coming out that side of my nose. I am also swelling in my mouth. I call CE and they tell me my Dr is closed that day. Come in the next day. I needed help guys so I persisted and they got me an appt at another location. Where I demanded they take an xray and guess what... huge black spot of infection... SHOCKER... I was prescribed a very strong antibiotic and steroids. Within 24 hours I'm almost out of pain and my headache stops. I think finally.... Until I develop a reaction to the strong antibiotics on day 4. By day 5 I have Antibiotic Encephalitis. I can't make this stuff up guys. Did CE, either office, call to check up? Send a just checking text? Email? Nope! I was just a number for their paycheck. If you want care, you will not find it here.

I live in Richmond, but it is worth the drive to Midlothian for me - knowing that they have the best interests for my health and well-being as well as the dental expertise to handle anything that might arise. ( I had to get a couple of fillings several years ago and just recently had to get a mouth guard to help me quit grinding my teeth.) Dr. Rebecca Angus and her new doctors, Poonum Bharal and Jessica Vellucci are both amazing dentists and moms and I would trust them with my dental needs as well. An outstanding team all-around.

My parents have been coming here over 20 years and switched me over when I was a teenager. I have seen Frank, Rebecca and Lee numerous times of the years and I just met their new Dentist, Patrice. They all are wonderful and do a great job!! I never have any issues getting in to see them. Currently, I am seeing a great dental hygienist, I think her name is Darleta?? Either way she has been great and before her I saw Sharon a lot. She was also awesome. Their office has plenty of parking, it's beautifully decorated. Has comfy seating. They have guest WiFi too. It's very welcoming. I recently moved away, but I'm going to keep driving out to chesterfield!

Avoid This Dental Office at All Costs…read more I'm writing this to warn others before they go through the nightmare I experienced. I trusted this practice because my daughter recommended it, and I regret not doing my own research. From the start, there were red flags, but I pushed forward anyway because their billing department was surprisingly efficient and had everything pre-approved. The dentist, Dr. Alexander, also had much more availability than others, which should've been a major warning sign in itself. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the worst decisions of my life. Dr. Alexander Simon, (or vice versa he has 2 first names) without a doubt, the most careless, heavy-handed, and clumsy dentist I have ever encountered. Despite having a good support staff, it's clear he's a micromanager who insists on doing everything himself -- even routine cleanings, which were the roughest and most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. He overbooks appointments, rushing back and forth between patients with little care or focus. I learned later that this is because when he's not here, he practices dentistry in India, squeezing in as many appointments as possible before leaving. During my implant process, I felt more like a test subject than a patient. He was abrasive and dismissive throughout the procedure, even laughing while I gagged and choked on water he flooded my mouth with. I was in visible discomfort, and rather than showing concern, he found it amusing. He repeatedly pressed metal tools against my lips with no delicacy or consideration. Once the anesthesia wore off, I was in excruciating pain that lasted far longer than normal. I later discovered that he had gashed my gumline, making it extremely painful to eat or even drink water. When I brought this up to him, he laughed again--like my pain was some sort of joke. I even asked if he'd like me to try it on him so he could understand how it felt. Despite the trauma, I continued with the implant procedure because I had already paid and assumed it was too late to change providers. About a year later, the implant started coming loose and causing severe pain. I didn't want to go back, but most dentists wouldn't see another doctor's implant patient, so I felt stuck. When I returned, Dr. Alexander Simon refused to take any responsibility. He blamed my pain on teeth grinding--something no other provider has ever diagnosed me with. I reminded him that he had gashed my gums previously and insisted he shouldn't bill my insurance again for a problem he likely caused. He casually offered to "work something out," as if that could undo the damage he'd already done. I didn't care if he offered to fix it for free--I wouldn't trust him with my mouth ever again. What's worse is that I later filed a complaint with the dental licensing board, only to find that someone else had experienced *the exact same issue*--a gashed gumline caused by this same man. It's unbelievable and infuriating. Now, because of Dr. Alexander's negligence, I need gum grafts and a completely new implant. My insurance won't cover it because they already paid once. Meanwhile, he had the audacity to bill my insurance again just for seeing me--even after everything. I'm furious, heartbroken, and honestly traumatized. I truly hope this man loses his license. No one deserves to experience this kind of incompetence and disregard for patient welfare. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Do your own research, listen to your instincts, and stay far away from this practice.

He ties for first place in my top 2 dentists ever. The staff is always friendly, compassionate and thorough. Having a great dental team ensures that I keep faithful to regular 6-month checkups. I cannot recommend this practice more!
