So I went here for a trap brunch this past weekend and I have no complaints! We love a good brunch with bottomless mimosas. I got the steak and eggs and my friend got the chicken and waffles. Prices are reasonable and the shots weren't too bad either. But back to the food- steak with topped with this bomb sauce and I was able to add peppers to my eggs. The place is very cute too! Highly recommend, live jazz music was definitely a vibe in the brunch setting. The food was spectacular, this was my first time eating blue grits and was skeptical at first but I am so glad that I tried! The fish and grits was a solid 10 out of 10. The menu was small for a brunch spot but I really appreciated it - it meant everything we had was delicious and executed very well. Coffee, tea, and mimosas available for drinks. The service was attentive but not overbearing and I really loved the space. I had the chicken and waffles, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, adorned with fresh berries, and a side of potatoes which had the perfect crisp and saltiness. read more

This was a great experience. Amir, our waiter was so engaging and friendly. He made great food recommendations and had a good sense of humor. The food was delicious. My mom and I went for breakfast, as we were traveling from DC. I had the salmon croquettes and grits, she had the Apache meal combo with an add on of French toast. Everything was good. read more

Our waitress was CLUELESS! Delivered a drink to a table of two that we didn't order and then looked googly-eyed when it was brought to her attention m. We were definitely paying attention. Especially me considering this was my first time being there and I suggested the place. Overall, loved the performances and will return. However, I will not be served by the same waitress. read more

traveled to ATL for a day trip, so glad we picked this place as a stop!! the ambience is perfect for a brunch day with the kindest hostess and server. live entertainment--the singer of the day (wore a blue cap and sunglasses, i didnt catch his name) had a lovely energy and stage presence, made brunch so much more fun! long wait for our food though, it was a bit busy that day but the server said it was taking the kitchen a bit longer to cook the salmon. we didnt mind though because the brunch vibes were great. salmon mac and cheese was amazing!! salmon was cooked so deliciously and had a great lemony taste. the mac was to die for and the spinach was a great addition. the server just asked me offhand if i wanted my dish with sauteed spinach or brussel sprouts, and i mistakenly thought it came with the dish until i got the check back and it was an additional $6. so be careful of that! had a bit of my sister's chilaquiles, which were also DELICIOUS !! the drinks were great too :) super yummy! service was also really good! even though there was a bit of a longer wait, they were really sweet about the whole thing. we were also able to get seated right away by the window. read more

I attended this business for the first time during their open mic night. The host was entertaining and the band was talented. Overall, I had a good experience. The food was fresh and tasty but took a bit longer than I'd prefer to wait and I'm pretty patient. The drinks were more juice than alcohol, which would be my only real critique. The chicken was fried to perfection and the sides were pretty darn good. Our server was patient and attentive. I will return and highly recommend. read more

This place is full of potential, a local eatery with a music, poetry, and art vibe. At the table we had four entrees, the southern style fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts, the chicken was great but the brussels sprouts stole the show. The salmon on the salmon plate was well seasoned but cooked a little too much, it came with Mac n cheese. The pork chop dinner was enjoyed as well as the Apache burger. The restaurant was short staffed, it felt like our waitress was the only person providing service outside of the two bartenders. The impact was noticed, but when Zarea was came over she was great. The location is on a side street off of Ivan Allen, no visible parking to speak of but within a few minutes walking to several hotels. I'm a huge advocate when it comes to supporting black owned businesses however I also advocate on holding individuals accountable. Went on Fri 12/13 flyer stated it would start @ 8:30pm and the show didn't start till after 10:30pm, when only one person performed. Doors didn't open till 9pm, pay only with cash or cashapp, sitting wasn't organized, service was blah and food was TERRIBLE!!! I will continue to support Black owned businesses and I will continue holding everyone accountable as well. We work hard and have the right when service isn't up to standards. I'm not asking for red carpet treatment but this experience wasn't expectable at all. My experience 1/5 read more

and yet, another prime example as to why black people "do not" support black business. you guys are the epitome of the worse serve. first, we paid (20) entry fee, we paid (20) for parking, purchased drinks and food. the food was ordered around 15 mins after 9p.m and here it is quarter after 10p.m and no food! and not to mention, the doors open at 9p.m performers didn't come out after 10:30p.m the overall experience was horrible never ever again. bye read more

This is my response to the owner.... My wife and I left during intermission because the show was not the erotic experience we thought it would be. As for the drink, there was definitely more than 2oz. of alcohol making the drink too strong. I only asked for more tea but the chef volunteered to take the drink back. We'd been at your venue at opening (9pm) and was the 3rd couple seated, so we did give the event time (left at 11:15 or so). Also, when the waitress addressed my initial post, she asked about making the experience better, but I was not addressed when my wife told her I was the "Eliter". Crediting the admissions was not an option we asked for or even wanted. Seated in the back for first come, first serve seating was not fair as we were third in line. As a Yelp Elite, I shouldn't feel attacked because my experience of the show you put on, wasn't to my liking. Thank you for responding but we will not visit your establishment again and I hope others read my review and act accordingly. Too bad no one can see your original response. read more

***Bad Experience** Ordered food and drinks. To get Parmesan chicken was undercooked. Due to us being hungry we ate the fries but explained to waitress chicken was undercooked. We had no problem paying for fries but instead of replacing the whole order they required us to pay for full plate of undercooked chicken. read more

Without question, this was my favorite meal experience in Atlanta when comparing it to all the other restaurants I went to. My order: Salmon Mac & Cheese: I could not decide between this or the Hong Kong French Toast. These tow items are complete and total opposites and I really could not decide which one I wanted more. When the waitress came back to my table, I explained to her my current dilemma. It was then concluded that the salmon mac & cheese was the better choice because it would be more filling from the protein and carbs. It was the right choice. The salmon fillet was perfectly cooked. It was juicy and seasoned right and savory. The mac & cheese was the best I have ever had (from both home cooked and from other restaurants)! The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and baked to delicious perfection. It's cheesiness was consistent all the way through. I loved this dish so much that if I go on another trip to Atlanta in the future, I would make it a point to come here again. But next time it will not be just for the salmon mac & cheese; next time I would indulge in the Hong Kong French Toast (and possibly other tasty foods on t menu). When searching online for restaurants near me, this actually appeared as Blackbird on Google. Furthermore, here on Yelp, it shows Apache Café while Google also shows Apache XLR. When I entered, the waitress said, "Welcome to Apache XLR". Moreover, the menu in the restaurant was titled Apace XLR. The owners/management team here should make it a point to clear up the name of this restaurant online and in house so that it does not create any further confusion. The names across all mediums should be consistent. read more

The best breakfast in Atlanta!!! So good that I went back the next day to try more! I highly recommend the All Apache Breakfast and the Hong Kong French Toast with an added on piece of fried chicken! The staff is amazing, so friendly and kind. The chef, she was so pleased to hear the feed back and was also so friendly and kind. This place is 10/10! This review is only for the reservation process. I arrived on time and was initially told by the hostess that the bartender would seat me (weird, I thought), so I waited only to be told something completely different later, which was they had not received my reservation and did not know how long the wait would be. I left. If you go, beware. I paid $20 to park across the street only to be met with disorganization and dismissive behavior. Never again. read more

Sunday I got a chance to visit Apache! When I walked in there was a young man singing and playing the keys. Super talented and was a great vibe to this place. I had brunch with some friends and Zar and Al Nisa took good care of us. Camille was at the bar and made the best drinks. Genuinely one of the worst places I've been to. Waiter was alright and that's about it. $41 for brunch, and it was some of the worst food I think I've even eaten. I took 2 bites and had to leave, please for the love of god don't come here for the food. I dont know how it is at night and stuff but the food was atrocious. The food is alright. We got a shrimp basket, it was heavy on the fries and light on the shrimp. We also had a fried chicken plate, I think that would be better with bone in chicken breast. The people were nice. We were seated promptly because we had to pay $38 for the reservation which was for tickets to the live performance. The drinks were good, could've been a little stronger. We went for brunch and it was super yummy and the live music was great! However, you can definitely tell this place isn't primarily a brunch place, as we had some drinks served in plastic cups. They also moved back my reservation by 30 minutes without notifying me, but ended up being able to seat me not very long after my original reservation. The owners opened Apache Café for lunch at 11:00am on Monday April 9th 2001. Having spent the entire night awake in order to finish café recipes, they served just one table that day. With borrowed art on the walls and jazz music in the background they dreamed to create a place of creative freedom where great music, delicious food, and bold art could live. Open seven nights a week and serving a diverse group of patrons, Apache Café offers an intimate café, gallery, and venue with exposed brick walls and a loft-like style. As a restaurant café, Apache serves house made southwestern, Latin, and Caribbean inspired fare along with a full premium spirits bar, coffee bar, and dessert menu. How can a table be pre- purchased for a group? The eventbrite only gives option for seating of 2. What's the minimum guest have to spend at table?

You may want to call first, because the tables usually go fast. If you get there early you can get a table of 4, and I don't think there is a minimum. I've never had to pay a minimum and I've been going there over 5 years now.

What's the best night for dancing?

Honestly I don't think this is a dance type place. I don't recall seeing a dance floor. But if you like live rnb and soul Wednesday is a great night to go.

The event is free for members of the High and is also free to all visitors with half-price admission to the museum. My friend is a member and she asked me to be her plus one for Friday Night Music Remix at the High. I first attended the event a couple years ago with friends from out of town and was happy to return. By the time we got there, the jazz band was playing and all of the tables were occupied. There was only seating for about 100 and there were more people standing than sitting. After a few minutes we went upstairs to walk through the exhibits to a soundtrack of jazz. I really like the concept--enjoying music, sipping drinks and exploring the art exhibits. It's a very diverse crowd too in terms of race and age...20-somethings to 60-somethings...tourists...groups of friends...and people on dates. Some are there for the jazz and art; others seem more into the cocktails. The dress code is all over the spectrum from sophisticated to casual. Men wear things like polo shirts and khakis or button downs and jeans. Ladies wore everything from jeans, cardigans & heels to maxi dresses & sandals. My one criticism is about the lighting. I wish they would add mood lighting or at least dim the existing lights, something to make the large space feel more intimate. I know it's not a nightclub but I associate live music with low lighting, not high watt bulbs. Other than that it was a nice event and I plan to return in the next month or two.

It also has a lot of bars, at least one on every floor (there are four floors). We attended Ali Wong Live here on Saturday, April 11, 2026. It was a great show and we enjoyed the venue. My wife bought tickets back in November. We sat on the lower level, fairly close to the stage, in Section 102, Row F, Seats 1-2. These seats plus "Premier Parking" in the 100 Luckie St garage (LAZ Parking) cost $380.09 after taxes and fees, via Ticketmaster. The 100 Luckie St garage is two blocks down the street from the Tabernacle. It's an old garage with tight turns and spaces. Before the show, I got a Hendrick's double-shot gin and tonic at the bar in the side room on the second level. It cost $33.45 after tip. A good drink, but expensive. Before this month, the last time I was here was Saturday, August 9, 2014 for a big Yelp event / Yelper party. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem.
