Chicken and waffles melted in my mouth, great staff, interesting space, I love when local artists works are displayed for sale.

My girl and I walked in and the host took a phone call while we were asking her questions, then walked outside to continue her call. We were left standing there. There was another young lady and a guy behind the bar, no one said a word to us. The advertisement on Eventbrite said live soca, basically live Caribbean vibes type of music. That was not the case. There was a networking event taking place. The food was good, although some of it was served in a white ceramic cup. At the end, when the bill came, they charged an 18% service fee! Then had the nerve to add gratuity at the button. What was the service fee for??? Then wanted to add tip??? The bill was $130 for some basic dinner and small drinks. There was no vibe at all. I recently went to visit my family in Georgia we went to the aquarium and passed by this place on accident and let me just say I am glad we did!! They had live music art amazing food and lets not forget about exceptional service! Free is a gem! Great energy! A few of us were hangry but she said we were at the right spot! She suggested fish and grits with shrimp wowzers!!!! And The freaking Flatbread is freaking amazing! She insisted we try the French toast and I 100% agree!!! That should be dessert! We were in this past weekend for brunch and the food was absolutely phenomenal along with just the best vibes! I had the All-Apache with the purple grits and honestly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The grits and scrambled eggs were incredibly flavorful and the waffles were a nice treat to wrap up the meal. Nae was our waitress and she was the absolute best. She had great recommendations and just all around heightened our dining experience! Will definitely come back on our next visit to town! read more

Not sure if brunch service is new but it was pretty lack luster. No one seemed to know anything. Music was bad. Food was eh.

Food was good, couldn't accommodate doing egg whites which was challenging with food allergy. Service was a little slow but very friendly!

The food and drinks are over priced. The food was basic. The only reason why they have one star is because the live music. The service was also basic our server would take forever to take our order and come back and check on us. I hope they improve because they have the potential to be great. read more

Not Sure if someone was hired full time to write good reviews for this place or if the chef has been on vacation for a couple months but if this review reaches your eyes consider it an angel sent from above. I won't get into the food but just to save you some time reading this review we were served hot coffee that was heated inside a 1985 microwave. That alone should tell you how incompetent this place is. If someone wants to donate this place a Keurig machine please do. Just brief review on the food. Fish and grits fish was undercooked. Hands down the best brunch I've had, everything was perfect! Food was spot on, blue grits are amazing, everything cooked to perfection. In town for Primerica convention, searched for food and came up on. this joint. Excited to visit and support my people. Doors open at 6:30, we were jolly on the spot only to learn that the kitchen was cleaning the grease and wouldn't be ready for at least another hour. Rondo made it okay to wait, brought out some carrots and ranch which believe it or not was really good. Placed order and had to wait another hour or so to get over cooked (dried) pork chops, chicken and waffles which was tasty but the chicken breast was very small", saving grace was the delicious Brussels sprout. The owner who unfortunately seemed very uninterested to hear from me and my friend; Blamed the wait on a private event and Google having the time wrong, however, the doors were unlocked and open and Rondo never mentioned that the restaurant wasn't open due to a private event. He actually apologized and did his best to accommodate two hungry women visiting the ATL. Was planning to come back Friday with some other conference goers to celebrate a birthday. However, the owners lack of interest to engage and here constructive criticism with a smile was very off putting. Maybe our visit doesn't make or break her goals, but I must say it certainly paints a picture for two Midwest women out to support our people. Upon entering this establishment, I was greeted by the staff members so I immediately began feeling welcomed. Then, I couldn't help but look around mesmerized by all the artwork and decor throughout. The interior design consisted of intricate detail and even the furniture has detail that one could not dare to ignore. Even the chandeliers themselves would have you in awe. The layout is definitely different on how the stage, tables, bar and kitchen was displayed. The lightning calls, better yet demand attention that is well deserved. I visited this establishment during the evening Live Jam Session on a Wednesday and it definitely did not disappoint regarding the chill vibes and atmosphere. I love that people were dressed nice and the music was lit. I had the honor of meeting the owner Ray, of this black female-owned establishment, whom was very professional on her interactions and attentive to all her customers, staff, and performers. read more

This place advertised as a Jazz joint . The hours were wrong and since we had to catch an Uber because we were visiting Atlanta we had to stand on the street. The club was still late to open we were charged a 25.00 fee due to it being a special show that night, and told we could sit anywhere. A waitress came over and asked us to move unless we were going to be using bottle service. She was not rude and very apologetic. I just feel like the club advertising was misleading. This was the Absolute Worst Place I've ever eaten. They told us the way it was 45 minutes and we got a MimosA and the Mimosa ended up having four different types of alcohol in it. Apache was a great brunch spot. The first impression was a little hesitant as the dining area was mostly empty on a Sunday morning. We thought there must be a reason it was so empty. The music playlist and the smells quickly changed our thoughts. The food was well cooked and the waitress did a wonderful job of explaining the menu. We learned that the cafe was less than one year old which explains the emptiness. The chicken and waffles and hot chicken sandwich was amazing. The location next to the Aquarium can't be beat. We were able to get our food and make the reservation in good time. The hostess explained that they have nightly R&B/poetry acts. The dining area had a full drum set to accommodate this set. Amir, one of the staff, is a sweetheart. Very attentive and welcoming. I had the mac n cheese balls and the zucchini fries. Both yummy. I was walking in the area, it was very hot and I needed somewhere cool to take a break. Glad I picked this spot for a quick bite. Cool spot and good food. Apache Cafe is a gem that we came across today! After a ridiculous wait for the other 'ATL Breakfast' restaurant we saw Apache listed on Yelp it's only a block from that other place as well as the Aquarium and Coke so I recommend parking there, go to Apache for an amazing brunch and then walk over to the attractions. Now to the restaurant. We were fortunate enough to first see the artists painting a beautiful mural on the side of the restaurant, then turned the corner to two restaurant employees who told us, 'C'mon in! We can seat ya right now if you like!' The ambiance when you walk in Is really cool. You feel like you're in one of those secret Jazz clubs where only the incrowd knows about it. Exposed brick, dark smooth colors, a place for the band to set up.....Cool. The service was phenomenal. We had many of the employees drop by our table, check on our needs, ask how we were, and really have pleasant exchanges. It was personable, appreciated, and sincere. The Food was Great. The breakfast/brunch entrees were neat. A bit cooler than you'd expect from items elsewhere with similar names. For example, I had the avocado toast. I was expecting simply, but tasty, basic quality avocado toast. Wrong. This was pretty unique. Think Avocado Toast Benedict. It was like a deconstructed Benedict Breakfast sandwich. Superb bread with fresh avocado smash, crispy bacon strips all tucked under 2 sunny side up eggs sprinkled with smoked paprika. My wife had French toast that looked like someone decided to turn a brownie into a breakfast treat. Dense and savory sprinkled with powdered sugar and sweet sliced strawberries. Last my my kids split their spin on chicken and waffles with a fluffy yet crisp flying saucer sized waffle, warm sweet maple syrup and powdered sugar. This was accompanied by two crispy and juicy boneless chicken thighs that with syrup drizzled over them male them like candy. Everything was wonderful and exceeded my expectations at very reasonable prices as well. I'd also suggest, if someone in your party wants something basic, (I didn't see it one the menu) but you can order all-carte scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. I had the scrambled eggs and they were outstanding. Thick curds with cheddar cheese folded in. They were really good. This is a great restaurant to bring your family to. The service was exceptional. The staff was extremely pleasant and caring and most importantly, the food was exceptional. What an awesome experience at open mic poetry...There was a little bit for everyone and great vibes.Poets, singers musicians and a hilariously funny host. Admission Price $7.00 for those willing to perform. $10.00 for students $15.00 for general admission. Not sure on the reserve table prices. However if you get there early enough and they have open tables, there is a minimum of $10.00 worth of food & drinks needs to be bought. So in other words you going to spends a little money for the experience. Open mic runs 8pm till midnight and gets packed. We got there at 7:45 so would could find outside parking for free..FYI once the free parking is filled you have to pay lot parking. read more
