This is the 2nd time I used Any Hour services, the first time they were so booked I had to wait 2 weeks for an electrician and the 2nd time only had to wait 2 days. They are always on time, they call ahead to let you know they are on their way. They are honest and have integrity in their work. And best of all they don't break the bank. Shawn was the electrician that came both times, very professional, doesn't mess around and gets right to work. He even wore booties to protect my floor. Service call took less than 30 minutes. Backup of debris cleared about 4 to 5 feet past S-trap. Any Hour charged $400 for the service call. This is complete exploitation. Will NEVER use 'Any Hour' again, and recommend you look for a reputable plumber as well. read more

The pilot light went out on our water heater. My water heater is older but won't be due for replacement for a year or two. When another plumbing company took two days to come out and refuse to replace the $20 thermocouple, we called Any Hour. They were there in an hour and replaced what needed to be replaced. Any hours came out for a leak in the toilet and sold my parents a new toilet. The sales person picked out the toilet. When the installers came, the installed the toilet and when doing the final walk through, we noticed that the new toilets base was smaller than the one that was there previously so that left a one inch ring around the toilet that was damaged, stained and looked terrible. We told the installers we were not happy and they promised that their manager Scott would call and make it right. They said we had to pay and sign for the work done, so we did. That was my mistake. I never got a phone call. I called any hours and left two messages to have a manager call me and they never did. They did have us do a "warranty claim" and sent another sales person out to look at the toilet. That person said there was nothing that they could do and we would have to pay for a new toilet and installation fees. And that we could just scrub the area or cover it with a plastic ring. That is not the point. The original sales person should have ordered a toilet with the correct base and then the installer should have given us an option before compelting the repair to get a differn toilet. Any hours should also offer to help exchange the toilet. They have treated my elderly parents so poorly and I will never use them again. All they care about is making money and taking advantage of elderly people. read more

This company is a scam.. I felt the technician Jesse was relatable, seemed very knowledgeable, great explaining things kept things comfortable and nice-I quickly was reminded that they aren't just sending someone to fix your problem they are salesmen & are trying to get the most out of you. We needed a dishwasher install for reason being that Home Depot wouldn't install because of a piece of tile in front of the old one and they said they don't want to be responsible for cracking the tile it truly wasn't a hurdle in anyway just a liability issue. I got a quote for close to 600 dollars to install this dishwasher I was taken aback as that's more than the actual dishwasher itself. I ended up paying the $38 fee for coming out and checking and then calling another company they had someone out within 2 hours of this visit the install was completed in less than an hour for $188 dollars. Tell me how these guys are going to charge 400 dollars more???? On top of that I had waited at home with my kids for 6 hours waiting for someone to come the day prior only for someone to tell my husband no one answered the door. They had my phone number and no one bothered to call. So the next day we waited around again and that's when Jesse arrived. Jesse if you are reading this I have no problem with you but the company you work for is shade maybe that's why their technicians stay cause I'd imagine they are making big bucks tacking on the $100's of dollars. We are finishing our basement (about 1000 sqft) and needed to replace old wiring and run all new wiring in all rooms including a new room I framed in. Pat came and gave us a quote and was very patient with our questions and not pushy in the least which I appreciated. The quote was about the same price as the other quote we got from a competitor. He actually stuck around and gave suggestions about the remodel we were doing which was also very helpful. The crew came and worked on the job for almost two days. All very friendly and courteous guys. Jose, Isaac, Riley and Chris. I did have to have them visit back a couple of times to fix a couple of oversights but they did so as if it wasn't an issue and seemed to want to get it right. A suggestion to Any Hour... we did have a minor irritation with phone calls. My wife initially gave them her number and we wanted to change that so they could call me instead. It took four calls to dispatch on separate days to get them to call me instead! "So you're blackmailing me?" "Absolutely." But that's not quite right. Not blackmail exactly. I was just trying to get Any Hour plumbing to admit that they'd cost me $200 and hadn't fixed the leak from my washing machine. And since they didn't do what I'd hired them to do, they should be required to fix the leak without charging me more money. Is that so much to ask? I know nothing about plumbing, so when I called Any Hour I gave them a very general description of the problem: The washer's leaking. I was told that Any Hour doesn't fix appliances, so they referred to me to a place called Appliances by Paul, which dispatched technicians the next day to check out the washer. They concluded the leak was not a problem with the washer and charged me $100. I was told I needed a plumber. Next day, the plumber arrived, roto-rootered the drain and offered to sell me a very over-priced drain cleaner ($40 for a gallon) which he said should be used on the drain he'd just cleaned and on other drains in my condo each month. It seemed unlikely to me that BioOne would be three times as good as Drano--which it should be for three times the price--but I figured I might as well do what the Any Hour plumber suggested, in part so that if there were any additional problems, he won't be able to say I didn't follow through with what he recommended. Cost: $78. But the leak wasn't fixed. I called Any Hour again and the plumber returned, a little sheepish and apologetic. He looked behind the washer, and this time I looked too. I could see the water draining into the pan, but the pan was apparently corroded because the water then seeped onto the floor. The plumber again apologized and offered to return on Monday with an associate to help him move the washer so he could more thoroughly clean out the drain. Come Monday, two plumbers showed up at my house. I began to think they might actually solve the problem. They pulled out the washer and went to work. They spent about an hour, but ultimately concluded that they had not fixed the leak. The plumber told me that now I would have to call a plumber. When I pointed out that he was a plumber, he told me that he only does drains. I asked him about my warranty and he said this was it. What he had just done--showing up and again failing to solve the problem--was the extent of my warranty. At this point, I was getting annoyed. I had spent nearly $200 and was no closer to solving the problem. The next day, Any Hour dispatched another "plumber" to assess the leak. But when we ran a couple of short spin cycles to drain water from the washer, there was no water leaking into the pan. He smiled and suggested that maybe the leak was now magically repaired. I asked him what would be needed if the leak returned and he said the pipes would need to be replaced. "Ballpark," I said. "What? Several hundred dollars?" He estimated between $500 and $1500. This seemed ridiculous, but I held on to hope that the leak was fixed. No such luck. The next load of laundry left yet another puddle. I sent the following text: "The pipe is still leaking. So I am renewing my previous complaints. If you guys will replace the pan for free, we'll call it good." The next day, I got a phone call from Josh, the Any Hour manager. He said he could have someone provide an estimate for what it would cost to replace the washer pan. I told him I thought they should replace the pan for free. Things got testy and I finally told him that I'm a pretty good writer and that I planned to write a negative review that would no doubt cost him some business, so he would be better off just comping the pan replacement. That's when he accused me of blackmail. I later got a phone call from the owner of Any Time. I had forwarded a draft of this review to give the company a chance to respond before I published. He spent a significant amount of time talking through what had happened. He said that he believed the problem was still a clogged drain. I pointed out that there had already been two unsuccessful attempts to clear the clog. He said he would contact the roto-rooters to see what happened. He said he'd call me back, but I heard nothing more from him. I'm not happy with Any Hour. I got no results so I'm giving them no stars. The real problem, as I see it, is that Any Hour uses a process that lacks transparency and is likely to mislead people like me who don't know the first thing about plumbing and so must rely on the supposed expertise of a company like Any Hour. This is frustrating because when I finally got a look at the problem, it seemed fairly likely that the issue all along was the corroded pan--a problem that should have been apparent to the "experts" I hired to properly diagnose the cause of the leak and fix it. I definitely will not use Any Hour again and I would strongly recommend hiring someone else. Caveat emptor. read more

I was a VIP member for three years. Today I cancelled. Our furnace motor died in august. My wife called and they came to do the repair. They said it would cost 6k to replace to blower motor. After getting a second opinion the cost from factory parts and labor was 1600. I called Anyhour to inform them and they dropped their price blaming a software issue and fixed it for about the same price. Their tech replaced our air filter with one that is 5inches shorter than the recommended size. Yesterday our pressure switch gave out (could be due to the smaller filter) so I called Anyhour again. They said the cost of the pressure switch was 450 dollars. I called and got a second opinion. He came up with the same diagnosis but quoted the part as 35 dollars. It was a factory part purchased from allreds just like Anyhour would have done. They do not have ethical pricing. Before you choose this company please get a second opinion. They will charge what they think they can get away with. read more

I know this has been almost 2 years ago that Anyhour has came to do work at my house. However I have had to hire on 2 separate occasions another company to come out to fix their work. First of all, it took them a month to come out and complete my electrical work. They said it would take 3 days. On one occasion they left half of my house without power for days before they even came back. New outlets and light switches didn't work after Anyhour installed them. I made many calls without getting responses. Half way through I told them I would find another company to finish the project. They finished the project, but it was not satisfactory. I still chose them despite being $1,000 over the other company because I felt the sales guy explained things better and felt they'd do the job the right way. Unfortunately that's where the good part ends. On install the day the installer, Josh, suggested I get a dedicated electrical outlet for the tankless water heater and water softener. Me and the sales guy specifically discussed power and this didn't come up. The plan was to use an existing outlet that would be converted to support three appliances being plugged in. The alternative now was to run an extension cord because the tankless wouldn't reach the original outlet (the installer said was not the recommended route) or pay an extra $320. Keep in mind I was already paying them $1,000 over the next closest bid! They had already removed my existing water heater so I asked them to waive the $320 to continue the work. since this was not something I agreed to originally I felt it was fair ask. They declined to do waive the $320, so I asked them to put my old water heater back in place, which they did. I thought I'd be done but they must have not put things back together correctly because they left me with low water pressure throughout my house. None of my water is flowing like it was before they arrived. Extremely disappointing. read more

They came, they saw, they overreached. Tenants of mine reported a kitchen sink leak just as I was heading out of town on a business trip. My usual plumbers, Millcreek (who are excellent), were not available, so I called Any Hour. Knowing I was going to be on flights all day, I asked the tenants, a young couple, to deal with them. From experience with similar matters, I was expecting a bill in the $300-$400 range. When I returned, I discovered that Any Hour had installed a brand new garbage disposal for $700. Disposals retail for about $275 generally, and I am not convinced the existing one was broken. To make matters worse, the tech insisted on viewing the house's hot water heater, which is completely unrelated to the leak for which he had been called, and Any Hour emailed me a proposal to replace it--for $7,000!!! Reagan came out and was the HERO of the holiday season to get them flushed out of the mainline so we were able to reset toilets and get back to regular plumbing! Disclaimer: We are not a customer of Any Hour. But we could have been. This rating is on their "estimate" process. Last month, we had an HVAC replacement estimate appointment between 1 and 3; we even cancelled lunch plans in order to get home in time for the appointment window. At noon, we got a voicemail from "Billy" at Any Hour saying that they were unexpectedly shorthanded that day and asked if they could reschedule the estimate, giving us their number to call back to discuss. We were hoping to keep our appointment that same day because it's the only day I'm home during the week, so we called at 12:13, was waiting on hold for three minutes when the line disconnected. Called again at 12:16 and gave our information to the receptionist, who said we'd be called back. An hour later, we still hadn't received a call, so we called back at 1:09 and gave our information to a different receptionist, who said we'd be called back. The day ended without receiving any further contact from Any Hour--no phone message, not even a call--and there has been no contact from them since, to this day. (I did call and left a lengthy complaint with the receptionist, but I don't think I left my name and I doubt the message was relayed up the chain). We had no shortage of installer estimates, so we weren't going to beg Any Hour to come over. I was told they run a large but tight operation, so we were anticipating they'd be able to provide a competitive bid and provide good service post-sale, but our only option was to judge the company's responsiveness by how they responded to our needs for the estimate appointment. The lack of communication spoke volumes, so naturally we'd have to doubt their responsiveness for an actual service call if we became customers. We will never be their customer, but they can prevent more customer complaints by simply following through with commitments and being hyper-communicative to the potential customer. read more

After 3 return trips they finally got it right. I wish I could give a good review, but they are terrible. Spent $12,000 om a new A/C and furnace for a 13 year old home. All thet want is your money----Every single time a new tech comes out (employee turnover rate tells you a ton about the company. Every single tech says a different thing-use this filter, no this one they were wrong. They set up the furnace with one switch only and no surge protector which have been required for new units-they lied about that and the manager Drew was extemely rude on the phone and said he would not five me one for free and we didn't buy it in time., and then wanted an additional $353.00 for it or a surge protector for $700. Ok then I asked from the previous 10+ times in both of our houses--JUST TO CHANGE OOUT THE SINK STOPPERS 2 OF THEIR TECH SAID I WOULD NEED NEW FAUCETS! I originally had an appointment for Tuesday from 4-7. I left work early to make the appointment. I got a call around 5:30 that they wouldn't be coming. I rescheduled for Saturday and was promised that I would be the first appointment which was at 9. At 10:00 I finally send a message asking when they would be here. I was told that they would now not be able to make it until much later today. I ended up having to cancel due to other plans made based on their original promise of 9:00. I used them for a warranty repair of my PEX manifold. Since they knew it was a warranty repair they overcharged. They double charged for the parts ($150 for an $80 part) and charged me 3 times what the labor should have been. It took him 1 hour to make the repair and he charged 3 hours of labor. He charged 1 hour for the repair, 1 hour to source the part, and 1 hour to quote the job. Plus he charged $150/hr rate. That rate seemed very high. I gave 3 stars because the repair was done properly but way overpriced because it was paid under warranty. Note this was in SLC, UT not San Francisco. Yelp messed up on my location. read more

I requested an estimate from Any Hour Services to install two 240V outlets for a range and a dryer in my basement. They stated that the entire electrical panel needed to be replaced in order to accommodate the two additional breakers and quoted me whopping $4,686.00 (excluding the warrantees, surge protection upselling that this company pushes). I showed their estimate to a friend of mine who told me that the additional breakers could be accommodated by simply replacing a couple of the existing Cutler Hammer 110V 20A breakers with a slim twin 20A breaker. I called the technician back to relay to him what my friend had proposed. The technicians response was that "he did not know that Cutler Hammer made twin 20A breakers", and that he would send me a revised quote based on my friend's proposed solution. The revised estimate still came in at a whopping $2,948.00, just to install two 240 V outlets (again excluding the warrantees, surge protection upsells that this company pushes) I then accepted an estimate from another electrical company recommended by another friend, which came in at $1460 which is just about half of Any Hour Services' best estimate. This company's electricians completed the work for me quickly and perfectly. Any Hour Services' estimates are extremely excessive, and many are padded with unnecessary upselling items, like warrantees, surge protection, etc. Why does a client need to purchase a 5 or 10 year warrantee if they do quality work using quality components? In my experience, their technicians are either incompetent or dishonest or both. My recommendation is to steer well clear of Any Hour Services. read more

We hired this co.pany to do repairs on my 90 year old mother in law"s AC. The tech arrived at 930 looked at the unit and told her it would be $1800 then left to get parts He returned with two small parts, put them in and left by 130 Charged her for 6 1/2 hours - do the math! They did not leave a bill, we fought with them for three days to get one. Two other reputable HVAC companies have looked at the list and told us the job should not have been more than $650. I purchased a Water softener from any hour via a special with Costco. The offered a 10% discount because of the Costco relationship and would give that via a gift card. I was skeptical because most gift cards do not ever get delivered, but the sales rep assured me that it would be delivered. I never received card as was my concern and I have repeatedly called Any Hour and they just keep giving me the run around saying that Costco should issue it, and that they will have Costco call me. No one calls and I call back a week or two later and get the same run around. Now, Any Hour won't even call me back. I am not sure how they have a 5-star rating other than the product has been very good, it is just their unwillingness to resolve this issue. read more

Don't use this company. My furnace went out so I called them up at 630 am since they were the only place open. They sent a tech out around noon, which I thought was very reasonable. After the diagnosis the tech said that the motor was fried and would be $750 plus tax and labor, there was a cracked pipe leaking water that would be $60 plus tax and labor. So I called for a second opinion with American Appliance Heating and Air. I did not mention to them that I had Any Hour there earlier. They came within two hours of calling them. Their tech said the motor was over charging and needed replacing and would be $279 plus tax. I then asked him about the pipe that appeared to be cracked, after examination he said that it was not cracked, it was how the manufacturer designed it. All it would need is a little sealant in the spot that was dripping. All in all, the cost of repair was $320 labor included. I decided to get bids from both companies on a full furnace replacement as well since the unit is 23 years old. Any Hour quoted me $3650 plus tax for a 90% efficient, 100k btu furnace. American Appliance quoted me $1945 total with tax and labor and everything for the same 90% efficient, 100k furnace. So overall I wouldn't ever use Any Hour again. They had a promo for a $29 service call which was nice. I felt like the tech was more of a salesman than an actual tech. He even told me his company required him to go door to door a certain number of hours a month to hang fliers on doors. This review is about a situation I had with Anythour Services that happened to me 7-8 years ago. I took advantage of Anyhour's $50 HVAC and Furnace inspection promotion. The tech came out and after inspecting both, he said he found a problem with my HVAC...the capacitor was going out and should be replaced. The cast of that would be $325.00 and would take a few minutes and he would take the $50 fee out of the bid and my final bill would be $275.00 and that price would be valid only while he was there. I was suspicious since both the HVAC and the Furnace were only 2 yrs old. I had him write up the inspections and had him highlight the problem part by name. After looking at the inspection I looked up the part and they were being sold for $18-$30 online and $45-$60 at HVAC stores. I then looked on line on how to replace the capacitor and it was so easy. All I needed to do was take the cover plate off the side of the unit, unplug the old capacitor and plug in a new one. It truly was a 5 min job. I then went to a HVAC store and talked about the capacitor with the store owner he said this is a typical sales gimmick by Anyhour. He told me to hold off buying a new capacitor since they last a long time in normal situations. That was 7-8 yrs ago and I have not had to replace it yet. I can't tell you if this was a ploy by this particular tech (some are on commission) or if this is a company policy, but I would not feel good about using Anyhour again. read more

Building an addition on top of my garage. Will be a workshop. Asked about their "Free Furnace" with AC during March 2021. Guy came out. We talked. He left. Sent (via email) an estimate. Darn thing was $17,414.oo for a gas heater/air conditioner plus duct work. That's GOT to be a typo! No Way In Heck am I going to fork over that much. Not even $7,000. But at least that would be a mere shock to the system to see that big an estimate. I can do the job myself for much much much less. Already have a furnace. Just need an AC Compressor condenser unit, an Evaporator and some lines, plus freon. That's just damned foolishness - $17,000. Told them I don't plan on ever calling them again. GEEZ! read more

Any Hour did a "tuneup" on one of my Senior aged employee's HVAC system this past weekend. The "technician" (if you can call him that) decided there was a "leak" (if you can call it that) in one of the pipes and went ahead and replaced said pipe. He claimed the pipe joint compound had "dried out" so he needed to replace the entire pipe section? $500 later he's got a $15 section of pipe and new joint compound. I've suggested to my employee that he call the State of Utah to report this company in that they're taking advantage of Seniors and using bogus claims of "leaking gas" to fix something that doesn't need fixing. read more
