After a great experience with one of Any Hour's technicians two years ago, I signed up for their $29 HVAC system check. The tech checked our furnace and told me that the heat exchanger was cracked and the motor was leaking oil. He called in his "supervisor," (Actually, a sales person). Our system was about 10 years old, so it was possible that the problems were real. We signed up for the replacement of both our furnace and AC (approx. $12,000 with their discount). The next day I called Any Hour and put a hold on the order as I had decided to get a second opinion from another HVAC provider. The salesperson called me later that day and offered an additional $1,000 discount. The other HVAC provider let me watch as they visually checked our heat exchanger, confirmed CO levels, and motor. No problems. The system is probably be good for another 5-10 years. Shame on Any Hour and their employees for trying to dupe me. Be very careful with this company. Get a second opinion. read more

If I could give zero stars 100% would. I had them come out a couple of times for the same issue with nothing being done to solve a problem. I was told as well that we are supposed to change our air filter every 6th months, but then had an issue and then another tech came out and told us no we half to change it every 3 months just to be met with the same problem a month later and the next service tech told us no its once a month. I paid the tech over $700 to clean our AC coils just to have it not done properly and had an issue a week later. I had someone else come out to get another opinion and they gave me a statement that stated any hour didn't do what they said they did. I reach out to see about getting a refund and was met with someone who wanted to have us replace our entire unit and pay 10x the amount. I reach out again to see what their refund policy was to just be ignored then finally some reached out just to have Keaton call and argue with me about what was done, as irrelevant questions and tell me that he had been out to my house a couple more times after he "cleaned" the coils and didn't get told anything and continued to argue with me. I told him I just wanted information and that I wouldn't recommend any hour serves to anyone and he told me well we have a 5 start rating so it doesn't matter. if you need service go through Ace air condition and heating they are way friendly and they try to be affordable for everyone. read more

I have been calling Any Hour services for many years. They have been great. But this time I had the plumbing under my kitchen sink repaired. The technician was very professional. But I was charged over $600.00. I feel like 500.00 an hour for labor is extremely excessive. I do not blame the technician for this, he was upfront about the work, and he did a good job. But after stressing about it for a couple of weeks, I did reach out to Any Hour to let them know how I felt. They were very professional in their response to me, but I felt that they were more concerned with their bad rating, than they were about me as a customer. I upgraded my rating from a one to a three star, because they were willing to work with me. I feel like they have grown too big. Next time I need something done around my house, I will be calling a smaller company, one that it still puts its customers first. read more

I had one Any Hour Service come out to check why my fireplace was not working. He fixed that and then told me he wanted to check my circuit breaker panel and proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the whole panel because it was not set up correctly. I told him no and then he told me that I needed smoke detectors that had carbon monoxide detectors with it. He also looked at my outlets and said that I need new outlets because they could cause a fire. He was trying to upsell me on everything. I told him to replace the smoke detectors and he quoted me 2,000. I thought it was quite high in price but I went ahead and did it. Come to find out, I only needed ONE smoke detector with carbon monoxide detectors ON EACH FLOOR. He replaced all of them and charged me a fortune. I feel like they are taking advantage of people. Don't waste your time! AC went out early Sunday morning. Their website claims to have "emergency technicians" but every number I call is a voicemail only saying "we'll respond to your call on Monday morning." Monday is the Fourth of July so I highly doubt that. I tried their chat line and the worker was incredibly unhelpful. She gave me the number to their Arizona location... I'm in Salt Lake. Their workers are either non existent or incompetent. Perhaps don't call your company "Any Hour Services" unless you can actually live up to that name. read more

Customer Service was quick to get us a technician . James Frazier was our technician however and he didn't test the water heater pilot properly and said our water heater was too old to repair. And quoted us a VERY high cost for a new one compared to other competitors. We tested the water again ourselves and it worked. read more

I own a commercial building in American Fork. My tenant found the elecrical panel was very hot and called Any Hour Electrical to have a look at it. All Hour Electrical came out and told my tenant that both electrical panels needed a full replacement to the tune of $2300. They sent me the estimate showing pictures of a single melted breaker. I know a thing or two about electrical, so I called another electrician to go have a look, and as expected, he found that it was a single pinched wire, causing the breaker to go bad. He replaced within the hour for $350. Other reviews here on Yelp stating that this company will pad the bill/ estimate with unnessesary repairs, was a red flag, and turned out to be accurate. The other electrician I hired was shown the estimate from Any Hour and he called it "Preditory". I agree with that accessment! read more

Had a slow floor drain in our furnace room and called to use their $29 drain clearing coupon. They came out and made it slightly better, but still slow. They tried to up-sell us on their 'hydroflush' for $500 dollars that another company offered for $200, but we just wanted them to clear the 2 inch drain that ran about 10 feet to the main line. On his way out he was asking what kind of smoke detectors we use as they also sell those, which just had a 'used cars salesman' feel to it. Five days later we woke up to raw sewage in our basement, so we called them back. They came and were adamant that it could not possibly be related, or that they could have pushed the issue into the main sewer line. They told me that getting it approved as a warranty item, was not going to happen so I told them, "Well I guess we are done her, and I will call another plumber" to which he told me he needed to call his supervisor. He stepped into another room and called, then told me it was all of a sudden approved, but he would need to charge me $200 to remove the toilet to do so. I told him to bring in his machine, and by the time he did, I had the toilet removed myself. He brought in a machine with a 2 inch blade to clear our 4 inch main line and ran it from 10 feet beyond where the original drain fed into the Main line, and ran into no issues. When he pulled it back, there was nothing on the blade. No roots, no debris, nothing. He told me that since he found nothing, he wanted to have his supervisor come run a camera through the drains to look, but then told me that they couldn't do it until the next day and we could not run any water until then. I scheduled them, but with 2 small kids, I then called Thorough Drain & Sewer Cleaning, who came out in 2 hours, and cleared not only the main line, but also the original drain to where it could take a hose running full force without slowdown. We have canceled the sewer-cam service, as we have no confidence in their services, nor do we feel like our issues, as their customer, are of concern to them unless it involves buying more of their products and services. On June 1, 2023 I had Any Hour replace my suddenly leaking old water heater with a new water heater. I approved payment of $4,715 on my credit card. I did not realize that price was very excessive until I did some research on the Internet and talked to neighbors who've gone through similar situations. Devin Cox, the installer, did an excellent job, came on time, worked efficiently and finished the job in 2 or 3 hours. The invoice he emailed me did not specify any pricing except the final amount. This is unacceptable. So, I'm left wondering, was there a mistake in the charges, or does this company normally charge such high rates? If there was a mistake, I would like a refund of any overcharges. I sent a letter to Any Hour CEO, Wyatt Hepworth via certified mail, describing my concerns. I have used Any Hour for years with great success - until today. I needed a water heater repair under manufacturer warranty. The representative gave me the cost to install the replacement cost and explained that while the repair was under warranty I needed to cover the "labor cost". I asked him how long it would take him to replace the part - he said 2 to 3 hours (it actually took close to 2 hours). When I considered the cost and the labor time required, it worked out to $400 per hour for "labor cost". I called to find out how this was calculated, I was told by a "customer service" representative that he didn't know how it was calculated - but that was the cost. I asked to talk to someone who could explain how it was calculated - he said there was no one - that was the cost. So - after 15 years, I cancelled my VIP membership. read more

I had water back in up in my shower and toilets. Any hour told me that the main line in my crawl space had to be replaced and did so for around $9,400, and I had to wait a week before it could be completed. That did not fix the problem, there was a blockage below the sidewalk in front of the house. They gave an estimate of $21,000 and said it was very competitive. I got two more estimates and they were both below $10,000, and they came and fixed it in a couple of days. I found out I could have replaced the main line for much cheaper as well. If you're looking to get taken advantage of Any hour is the place to go. read more

Did some work on my Aunts house recently and I noticed she had a new panel installed. The guy who installed it had absolutely no clue what he was doing. I highly doubt he's licensed. They installed the smallest panel Home Depot sales. Wires were double tapped on single breakers, Neutrals were double tapped under the same screw, and on top of that they charged 5k for the install. Didn't upgrade the SER coming from the meterbase. Simply just swapped the panel and it was very undersized. Looked like a handyman special. Sad to see a company this large is doing this type of work. read more

Check on squeeky furnace fan. My 79 year old mother heard a noise comming from her furnace fan. They came in for the $29.99 check. Tolder her she needed to replace the two fans one on the furnace and one for the AC. Quoted her $3,000 for the two fans. It didn't end there. Then the told her she would be putting new parts into old equipment and she would be better off replacing the furnace and AC unit for $11,700. She signed up but called me later that day. I got them to cancel the order and had another HVAC guy come and look at it. He said one fan was starting to wear but if she was worried he could replace both for $1,200 and that the rest of the system was just fine. Her home is only 12 years old. She was getting ready to take most of her savings out of a CD to beable to afford this. Amanda the assistant managers response when i confronted them "we did'nt get to be one of the biggest HVAC companies in Utah by cheeting our customers". They said they would handle this internally. The day after they canceled the second time by text (no phone call this time) I had to call back to find out if i could get it done and they scheduled me out two more weeks. I didn't actually hire them, but I'm glad I didn't. After reaching out to multiple electricians simultaneously through Yelp, 2 of them responded within a half hour and said they would come out to our house for free and then give us a quote on the project. Any Hour Services responded quickly as well with what I'm now assuming is an automated message, saying to reach out to them by phone: I texted them immediately, but they didn't get back to me for a couple hours, much longer than the other electricians: not a big deal, but not good either. I looked at Any Hour Services website and it says "We'll give you a price before we begin any work," but it wasn't until they responded to my text later that I asked them if there was a fee for an electrician to come out, and they told me it cost almost $40 just to send someone out to our house. While I had waited for a response to my text, I tried to schedule a time online. I gave up because it asked a lot of questions that I had already answered when creating the project in Yelp, so I kept waiting for a direct response. After hearing the cost for someone to come out, I remembered trying to sign up for someone to come out on their website and not having seen a warning about the cost, so I went back to to the website, this time going through more carefully. They hid the price at the end of a long paragraph that starts, "Technicians are licensed, trained, drug tested, and background checked..." It looked to me like some legal paragraph at first, so I just clicked "I agree" (I know, I should have read it more fully). Still, they are really not transparent. By charging that price just to come out, it forces the purchaser to consider keeping going because they've already paid something and don't want to waste it. By hiding that charge until they show up, they've hooked you. No thank you. read more

I should have read reviews before calling on this company. They are extremely over priced for the work they do. I had an outside faucet that froze and cracked over the winter. One tech showed up and gave me four quotes anywhere from over $1700 down to $875. He was here working for one hour at the most (probably less) and I was charged $1,015 to put in a new faucet and a shut off valve inside the basement ceiling and that included a senior discount. Easy job after seeing what he done. An access panel would of cost another $250, which I did not agree to. You can get an access panel on Amazon for $24 and less depending on size and style. Installation of the panel is an easy job of 10 minutes or less. I would not recommend these guys. Find someone else!! read more

Any Hour is one of the best companies I have ever done business with. I have had a kitchen sink drain which has continually clogged for many years, dealing a great deal of misery. In the past, I contacted My Little Buddy plumbing service who unclogged the drain for over $300, and offered to backflush it for over $800! After this plumber left, the sink clogged again in less than a week. Any Hour sent Lloyd Shaerfermeyer, a friendly professional, who unclogged the drain in less than 20 minutes for $29! He gave us a product which helps keep the drain clean, and it has not clogged again since he cleaned it. Any Hour came to my aid during the busy holiday, and were there the following day. There is no better service than this, and for the fairest price I have ever paid. Any Hour is a great company which will get all of my future business. read more

Question, does anyone know who the service manager is at Any Hours Plumbing? We are getting the run-around when asking for a manager or supervisor to call us? Tech A did the install of a tankless water heater, and tech B had to come out at 11;30 PM to confirm a gas leak in the furnace room, Fixed leak and noted some exhaust / intake fresh air concerns. Said he would debrief with a manager on Monday (Friday install and gas failure) However Tech B noted many items that would not be approved by Sandy City inspection... In checking with Sandy City inspector, no permit or inspection is on record, or scheduled for our residence Tech A came back Monday AM, just to follow up about gas leak; said everything else was up to code and would pass inspection for permit with Sandy City As of Wednesday AM, no permit filed and no call back from Tech B or service manager. Their business model is high service, great quality, for a premium price! How does $7,855.05 sound for an easy install of a Rinnai CU 199 96% NG tankless water heater and the service - communication above? (Permit charges noted on their simple, no detail invoice). This review is not about the actual plumbers as they did great work. My terrible experience, however, was the result of an aggressive and rude salesman who acted extremely unethically. Tyler and his "supervisor" Jesse should be truly ashamed. I was namecalled and threatened simply because I chose a better bid. Thanks to their deliberate actions and refusal to do a simple document, they purposely cost me thousands of dollars by filling in the trench that could have been accessed by another professional. I called customer support and was assured that they would prevent them from backfilling. Since I did not want that done on my property. Jesse gave his last vindictive threat, and the next morning, he had them come out with police escort and did it regardless because while I was at work he asked my wife who just wanted to be done with these people. If any hour services want to make this right, they could fire those salesmen or refund part of the job. This is just terrible ethics compared to all the other professionals who came and quoted us that same day. All of those ethical professionals are super respectful and seem very honest compared to Tyer for sure. Final words: you guys won and got away with cheating and disrespecting a disabled veteran on hard times. Plumbers who can't make joints watertight are plumbers not worth your time. Hired Any Hour to fix a leaky pipe and end up with more leaks due to the fact they didn't seal the joints for large sections of pipe. Cause flooding to occur in two separate parts of the house. Our sewer started backing up so we called them and they came out pretty quickly to help. The technician used an auger and cleared the line for us. We discussed the options to having someone come out to scope it. The next day, someone came out to scope it. We missed the memo that it was going to cost a couple hundred dollars to scope it, and since they didn't find any roots when doing the auger, they said it probably wasn't necessary. We're keeping an eye on it and hopefully it was a one time mishap. read more

My elderly mother had Any Hour come to her house to replace the garbage disposal. They adjusted the water pressure too. The work was good, but they charged about $1,000 for the service. We called and they refunded $99. We have attempted a few times to get a call back with no response. It has been a few weeks and still no response. Taking advantage of older people who don't know any better is not a good business model! Beware of the pricing before you agree to anything. None of our family will use them ever again. I seethed when I saw the ridiculous "emailed receipt " with maybe ten items and none of them had a price! We paid $1700 for trying to get our kitchen faucet repaired. That was AFTER I found and went to pick up the needed parts. The parts worked to fix the faucet, but it would have been $800 for a new one! I'm disgusted that they had to "inspect" our plumbing system and repaired things we didn't ask them to. My review upset them and they asked me to reach out. I did, but they NEVER got back to me. Dangerous installation (see photos). We bought a house that needed electrical work, as first time home buyers we made some mistakes and Any Hour was one of them. Here's the short version: Pros: stuck to their quote, were quick if you need a quick fix. Cons: Installing dangerous electrical equipment, charging you for work the power company will do for free (and that they are not supposed to touch according to the power company), and some pretty terrible follow up once we went through their work and found what they had done. If you want the long version, buckle up, we're going for a ride. As i said, we bought a house for the first time (woot) and it had some electrical issues called out in the inspection. We got a quote from Any Hour to fix it and to add some more services as we were going to build a new garage. Dude comes out, stays for like 16 hours and busts out the work. At first we are like wow, awesome, everything looks way newer (it was a 1950s house so pretty much everything is an upgrade). This lasts for about a month, and then the lights start flickering. I am talking disco level strobe light flickering. In addition to this being incredibly annoying, it is a potential fire hazard. We have another electrician look at it, no dice. We call previously awesome dude back, says installation is totally great. Call Rocky Mountain power and immediately this guy is like, whoa this isn't right. He takes off the equipment installed by Any Hour on the pole outside and is like, this is not at all rated for this service, uninstalls it, puts new stuff on. We ask what this will cost as we paid over 8K for the installation of everything. He says no charge, its Rocky Mountain's responsibility and they should know they aren't supposed to work on it. So now we are questioning what else they did that was sketch. Lights are still flickering, so we go through every single outlet (so many outlets) in our house and every single breaker to make sure all wires are tight and everything is wired correctly. During this process, we see the main new wire coming into the house (120 amps, this wire is HOT) has tape on it. Just for giggles we undo the tape to find...duh duh duh... a huge gash down to the metal! On our BRAND NEW 8K electrical installation! (see photos) We end up calling Any Hour, and to their credit, they send someone out to fix some stuff. We then ask about all the work they did that Rocky Mountain had to redo as it was dangerously installed, nothing. I have emailed them numerous times and have not heard a response for months. No money was credited, no apology or acknowledgement. The lights did end up getting fixed, turns out it was a loose neutral wire in the main box and since we have no idea if the Any Hour guy touched it (he wasn't supposed to but we all know how that goes) we don't know what caused it and it went on for 2 MONTHS. This review is for 3/10/20 and 3/26/20. I review most of my experiences with this business, so this review is not an over all comment on the business but for this particular experience only. On 3/10, Franco C. came out to work on my furnace because it had stopped working and when it did kick on, the air coming out would be cold. He replaced my flame sensor and filter and I was happy with his work. Because I had yet to have my furnace looked at for the 2019-2020 winter season, I arranged an appointment with him on the 26th of the month. Given that AnyHour is moving to a different membership plan, I wanted to be sure that the tuneups I'd been paying for would be done. He sent a text to the office to have them set up the appointment and told me that they would get back to me to solidify the appointment for the 26th in the 11-1 time frame. Because I didn't hear back from them, I called on 3/19/20 at 12:45pm and talked with a person named Annie to be sure that I had been put on the schedule for the 26th in the 11-1 time window. She assured me that I had and that she apologized for no on having gotten back to me. I also made sure to confirm with her that the tune up I was having done would count toward the 2019-2020 winter season so that when I had the tune up done again the next season, that I wouldn't be charged extra for that if I had the tune up in the fall/winter of 2020; which, she assured me, that I would not (this is something that Franco also assured me would not happen, but I wanted to double check). On the 26th, I received a phone call a little after 8:30, letting me know that a technician was on their way and would be there at about 9am. I told her that I was scheduled for the 11-1 time slot, to which she said in surprise, "Oh you want in the afternoon?" I don't think this should have been a surprise to her given that I knew that they already knew what time frame I had made the appointment for. Steve arrived at 11am to inspect my heater. He was quick and efficient. Because my furnace is fairly new and in generally good condition, the appointment didn't last long. I'm giving these experiences 3 stars for "A-OK". Both Franco and Steve were professional, pleasant, and proficient. I feel like both gave five star service. The two star deduction is due to the office staff not getting back to me to confirm the appointment on the 26th and also for obviously disregarding the time frame I had made the appointment for. read more

Any Hour was extremely quick to charge my pregnant wife $2,000 MORE than their nearest competitor for a simple 2 water heater replacement. The Technician was at our house for 4 hours and charged us a ridiculous $8,000. Never ever again will I use Any Hour for anything. You can get the same service - and same warranty - elsewhere for TWO THOUSAND dollars cheaper. We even asked the technician if his pricing was 'normal' and he had the audacity to say $8,000 was the industry norm for two heater replacements. I assure you - it is not. read more

If you don't mind paying labor costs at four to six hundred dollars per hour then you are at the right place. If that is called value then check this out. A part that I was charged for $589 was found on the internet the next day was listed for $155. It took the service man about 20 minutes to install. Purchased a furnace, ac, and water heater from Any Hour 18 months ago. We have had to call them twice, both times in October, to come repair the furnace. Each time we are told it will be 48-72 hours before they can get a service tech out to us. The first time I was able to fix it myself (the day after it was serviced and they had left a wire unplugged) and the tech that came said that what I had fixed was the correct action to take. Tonight we had another issue, the furnace won't turn on. We tried to trouble shoot the issue, but couldn't resolve the issue. Again we were told it would be 48-72 hours before a tech could come by on a window from 9am to 5pm. They were more than willing to take our money but not so quick to do anything about their faulty furnace. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more
