During the week of November 29 - December 5, Any Hour Services was called out to our house to clear a clogged drain. Through the process of analyzing the root cause we had a couple of problems that required a "spot repair" to dig up the yard, remove a section of pipe, replace it, and back fill the trench. All was fine until we had a sewer backup in the basement on February 17, 2018. At that time we contacted Any Hour Services and they came out to review the problem. According to them, there was a new belly formed in the pipe, just beyond the pipe they replaced - their recommendation was to dig up the whole yard and replace the line all the way to the city sewer line. Worried about the price of the previous repair and the new repair (approaching $30,000 out of pocket) we chose to shop around. Two other companies came in with alternatives that would have fixed the original problems as well as the new problem (the new problem would not have happened) for much less than the original price of Any Hour Services spot repair. In the process of determining the backup of on February 17, 2018, one of the companies was using a "camera" in the line and found that the blockage was the location of the previous work completed by Any Hour Services. Shards were sticking out into the line, feces, toilet paper, etc were gathering at that location. On the other end of Any Hour's spot repair was a inadequately sealed pipe. Any Hour left a "1/2" gap in the joint between the pipes. (Pictures of the shards and the gap are attached). I contacted Any Hour and they claim that a work order permit shows that a Provo City inspector came to site to verify the quality of work. However, what Any Hour fails to understand city inspectors cannot verify the quality of work on the internal pipe and they can only verify the work of what they see. In this circumstance, Any Hour cannot produce a completed Provo City inspectors report, because one was never completed. I contacted Provo City and they say they do not have a final report for the worksite. Any Hour does very substandard work. Attached images are of the soft backup that was happening when another company was using a camera in the line. The work outside is substandard as well. I have had 3 different quotes for work to be completed that is less than $11K and it would have solved all the problems from the beginning. Explanation: Any Hour Services does not do "liners" so they cannot offer a liner as a solution OR Any Hour Services salesmen work on commission so they upsell upsell upsell the most expensive solution. I am quite interested in how they closed the trench up without having a city inspector approve and certify their work.... If you are considering Any Hour Services I would be very cautious of their tactics and I would get multiple quotes before you decide on who you would have fix your plumbing, hvac, electrical issues. See attached photos of the shoddy work completed at our house read more

let me start by saying the two techs were super friendly and professional, but ONLY an 'AC tune-up tech' and 'drain clearing tech' not a 'Plumber' and 'HVAC specialist' like I had expected.. I woke up to water in my utility closet leaking out into my basement. I am a woman. I don't know anything about this stuff except it ruins my nice basement. I automatically decided it was the drain, so I called Any Hour. SO impressed that they were able to send a plumber and someone to also tune-up my AC. James came to do an AC and furnace tuneup, I did not once feel like he was upselling or lying to me about how crappy my stuff really is. HOWEVER, the tune-up is not really a tune-up, but an inspection. No cleaning, oiling or tightening of any kind was done, just a lot of AMP testing. He informed me that carbon minoxide was being detected in my home at a rate of 16 (?) I asked what he suggested I do about it and he said 'get carbon minoxide detectors', really?? I asked when do we worry about death and he said around 300.......not sure if this is a scare tactic? He certainly did not try to sell me a new furnace.... After the inspection (not tune-up) it was concluded that I need an ac unit eventually, which was no surprise. However after the drain tech informed us both the the water was not from the drain, I thought for sure the AC guy would have been a little more suspicious of the water puddling up under the AC, but no, it must have not been on his 'checklist'. Paid him and sent on his way, still not knowing where the water is coming from. That night I had ANOTHER AC company come out and tell me it was the drainage pipe from my coil unit that was clogged and backing up out the back of the unit and flooding.......not sure why this 'AC TECH' didn't catch that, but I feel like he should have at least been suspicious and maybe referred an actual HVAC specialist to my home. 'the drain clearing tech' did not charge me anything since he couldn't find a problem so that was a nice surprise. Again, super nice and friendly, however this only goes so far, as these two 'techs' were at my home at the same time, both of them looking into my utility closet and noticing the massive puddle of water underneath my furnace/ac unit and neither one having another suggestion or an idea of where the water is coming from. I don't want to rag on these employees, but very front-line employees with basic knowledge and not really trained to do any sort of problem solving, only to go through a checklist.....quick response though!! read more

AMAZING again! In between the last visit in April and this one, I had a couple interactions with Any Hour that I have to share with you so that you understand why I rate them 5 stars. First - on the April visit, James E came to my house for a scheduled HVAC inspection. He advised me that the temperature was not ideal (too cold) for doing the AC portion of the inspection and suggested that I reschedule it for late May so that I would get the best results from their analysis and testing. Score 1 for James E and Any Hour! Next - When I called Any Hour to schedule the service, I was greeted by someone in customer service who was genuinely interested in serving me. They always use the tag line "How can I make you smile today?" when they answer the phone and they always have a great tone of voice. It never fails to make me smile, just hearing them answer the phone. Score 2 for Any Hour! Next - Someone called to confirm the appointment. I was busy and missed the first call. I intended to call back, but it slipped my mind. They followed up with me a day or so later and when we spoke, it was just as pleasant as when I call them. It is always pleasant talking to the representatives of this company! I also really appreciate not having to remember to call them for my appointment. They take that off my plate and that gives me one less thing to worry about. Score 3 for Any Hour! Last, but not least - James E came to our house on the day of the appointment. On time too! Who does that? LOL As I've posted in previous reviews - James E's customer service is awesome. He's very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He tested the AC system and reviewed the results with me in an easy to understand way. He recommended some steps to take to ensure that my AC is functioning well for as long as possible. In particular, a surge protector and a thingie that helps it start up easier. ( forgive the technical name! ). The suggestions are JUST that. A suggestion, backed up by an explanation of the benefits. There is ZERO pressure to buy anything. That said, I DID go with his recommendations, because I feel that they truly have my best interests in mind. We get lightning strikes close by on a regular basis and my AC unit is new. I do NOT want to pay for a new one, should it be damaged by lightening. It may never happen, but I like the insurance and it wasn't very expensive. Please use them, you will love them! read more

Jorden H. paid a service call to my home as part of an advertised promotional campaign. He was very efficient at performing a tune up, explaining what I needed and presenting repair options all the time saying there was "no pressure" to sign up for any further services he would recommend. After he performed the tune up and made a list of recommended services, I mentioned that I wanted to do some comparison shopping and other due diligence before I committed to his continued services. At that time he pointed out that if I did not sign up right then he would have to charge a $58 dispatch fee simply to return to sign me up later. I pointed out to him that surely that requirement constituted sales pressure. When I suggested it be waived, he said I would have to call his office to get it removed. Upon further query regarding a company that can claim a "no pressure" sales pitch and yet hang a $58 dispatch fee over my head, he said he would waive the dispatch fee. Relieved, I asked him simply to put in writing that he would waive the dispatch fee. When he started to write such a waiver on my receipt, he suddenly balked and told me that he would not waive the dispatch fee, that it was standard policy for any company sending out repairmen on site. I pointed out that because of our exchange he had not only proven that his company was lacking in integrity but also that he was personally dishonest. He said that could not be true because he has received sterling recommendations online and attends a weekly seminar which trains him on his company's honest business practices. I asked if I might be able to attend his company's seminar next week. He replied that certainly I may. I asked him to write down for me the time and location of his seminar so that I might attend. Once again he balked at writing down such information and told me that he would not do so because the time and location of his company's seminar was "confidential." I invited him to leave my home and told him I would give my rating and review. I am doing so now which may be the only promise kept as a result of our exchange. I cannot recommend the integrity of this company nor the honesty of this service person which puts into question any work they promise to complete at any price and at "Any Hour" on your home. read more

We had a FANTASTIC experience with Franc M and Brady H from Any Hour Service!! We were in a bit of a bind and needed some work done fast. We read the reviews about Any Hour Services and gave them a call. Franc came over as soon as he could, looked at the situation and gave a us a fair price on the work that needed to be done in our house. I asked him when he could get started. He replied, "immediately." He called Brady M and they went to work. Now, the work that needed to be done, initially, was a simple task for them. However, both my wife and I had wanted a few other things done while they were in our home such as a tankless water heater and water softener. They were very quick to get the necessary parts. As time passed that day and it was getting closer to dinner time, I asked them if they needed to leave. They both responded, "we don't like to leave a home without the water turned on." I assured them that we had backup water in our storage and we would be all right until the next day. I also thought of their families who I'm sure would have loved them to be home. Nevertheless, they asked if they could stay to finish the bulk of the work and thought of OUR needs first. So, I agreed. Besides it should only take a few more hours to get our water running again. Franc and Brady stayed until 1:00 A.M.. That's right, 1:00 A.M. in the morning. They kept their word and had our water running before they left. The next day Franc returned and finished the job. If I could describe in a few short words my feelings about this company, especially Franc and Brady, they would be, "Old school service with new age technology." Both Franc and Brady shook our hands as they left and thanked us for allowing them in our home. Franc thanked us again and said what a great family we had. Their workmanship, personalities, professionalism and their dedication to our family all contributed to the great experience we had with Any Hour Services. If you want good service with good people we HIGHLY recommend Any Hour Service. You won't be disappointed. read more

I had a main line water break in my house at 2 in the morning and I was desperate for anyone to come help me before my house flooded. I could have ended up with someone who completely took advantage of my desperate situation or someone that wasn't even good at fixing it. I can't believe my luck because if I had all the time in the world and anyone to choose from I think this is the company I would choose and will choose them in the future (this was my first time using the company). He genuinely cared about every step of the process and helped explain what to do next. He arrived at my home before any of the other "24 hour" companies had even returned my call. He even texted me before to let me know the arrival time from his GPS and reassured me he had 30 years of experience and knew some excellent companies that could help fix any damage. He texted me after with updates and even did some general plumbing fixes while he was here free of charge (checked water pressure, toilet levels, drains, etc.). He even told me that he genuinely trusts and believes in all the technicians with Any Hour Services and would be completely comfortable with them doing work for his own family because they're that good. Pricing was great, service was better, and I can't say enough about how great the experience turned out and how happy I am that I lucked out and chose them at 2 in the morning instead of getting another company instead. Thank you Duane for being my Superman in my of need. To the other companies, all I can say is...thank you for taking so long to return my call! Haha read more

I've been a loyal customer of Any Hour Services for years. They've always been courteous, had good workers, and seemed genuinely interested in helping. While they consistently tried to upsell, the work was solid, and they were prompt. I even subscribed to their VIP program, which offered some great perks. However, things took a turn. One day, my VIP benefits suddenly stopped without explanation. This summer, I had an issue with my air conditioning unit, which, although older, was functioning well. They ordered a part, but when they came to install it, the part was defective and needed to be reordered. The process dragged on, and due to scheduling conflicts, I eventually told them to hold off until next spring. Fast forward to today, I received a notice that I owed $59 for a service fee. Confused, I questioned the charge, as VIP members aren't supposed to incur service fees. I was told a manager would call to clarify. When the manager called, I didn't catch his name because the conversation started on the wrong foot--he was rude, dismissive, and blamed me for the situation, all while demanding payment. The lack of professionalism was shocking, especially after I've spent thousands with this company over the years. His aggressive and condescending tone was completely unacceptable, and I ultimately hung up. This experience has been a dealbreaker. I will no longer do business with Any Hour Services and will be looking for another provider. Their rude treatment of loyal customers is very disappointing. read more

Time to call a Heating/AC repair person. I am 79 years of age, retired and have a fixed income. How much is this going to cost me? Will the repair person be honest with me? Will he try to sell me something I may not really need? Enter Jimmy from Any Hour Services. He diagnosed my problem and then gave me a written report with 5 option solutions and a price quote for each option. He identified the lack of a "Safety Wet Switch" that ideally should have been installed with the furnace/AC when my home was built. Jimmy thoroughly explained each option and the cost involved. No scare tactics, no hype, no high pressure, (unlike a repair person from another company who several years ago tried to convince me I needed a $450 thermostat. I didn't know you could even buy one for that price) Any Hour Services is a great company with great customer service. I sent them an email to ask a question before scheduling an appointment and was surprised to receive a reply from Brandy in Customer Service within a couple of hours. It has been two weeks and I am still awaiting replies from two other businesses. Brandy kept me updated prior to my appointment date and called to inform me that Jimmy was on his way to my home on the date of my appointment. Will definitely call Any Hour Services in the future and will ask for Jimmy when I call. I will also share with friends and neighbors the excellent customer service I received. read more

The technician, Andrew Finch, was on time, polite and courteous, well groomed, and highly respectful of my A/C system, my time, my home, and the costs that might be incurred to achieve a satisfactory repair/outcome. I was advised by phone about 30 minutes before Andrew's arrival that he was on his way, and of his name. Andrew further explained the way the system works, what was likely causing the problem, how he would test to more precisely determine the problem, and the suggested actions to take, along with the costs. Then he left the decision to me on how I would like to proceed. He did not rush the service call, but actually took extra time to analyze the problem, and then after the taking his suggested repair actions, to which I gave prior approval, he waited to verify that the system was operating correctly and more efficiently. I am a relatively technical person, and in truth, I knew a lot more about the operation and workings of my home's A/C system than I let on to Andrew. During his repair call, I asked numerous questions to ascertain whether he was misleading me or trying to up-sell any unnecessary services/repair. I found him to be honest and accurate with no attempt to up-sell anything that I didn't need. Any Hour needs to be proud of the service and company image Andrew provides. I would do business with this company again, and I will recommend this company to my friends. read more

Although I've had some decent service from them before on our AC. This time we had them come in to service our water heater and I will say that the experience has been horrible! We had a plumber named Jesse come into our older home and up sell us unnecessary upgrades to our home. Originally tried to convince us that we needed to spend $19,000 to upgrade our main water line and all the other lines throughout the house. He kept going lower with alternatives, convinced us to put in a regulator and a new shutoff valve to the house along with the services to the water heater. $2,700 later, we don't even have enough water pressure to enjoy a decent shower! We even had a different plumber Franc from Any Hour check the work that the previous one did and he basically tried to say it was our fault that our lines are clogged with sediment and has no pressure and even had the nerve to ask for a decent online review! I highly suggest going with a different company so you don't end up with the same problem as ours! They have pretty much informed us that there is nothing they can do to fix this! I'm sure if we were willing to throw a bunch of money at them they would be happy to fix the problem they created! Don't let them con you into unnecessary upgrades!!!! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!! read more

We have recently bought a house that is about 15 years old. The furnace/AC units needed to be serviced and we saw the Any Hour coupon for $29 per unit. The price was so much lower than any other company that I was a bit concerned that we would get legit service. But our technician, Jordan, was wonderful. He did recommend extra maintenance, which was to be expected because of the age and previous maintenance of the units (or lack there of), but he thoroughly explained and showed me why each item was recommended. Our home has two furnaces and two AC units, so I could see with my own eyes why certain work was needed on one unit and not the other. I HATE having these service guys come over because I always feel like they are trying to dupe me and sell me things I don't need. But Jordan was the opposite of every shifty, shady, sales-y technician I have ever worked with. He was thorough, his explanations were simple and clear. He showed me where it made sense to spend money and where it did not. He was kind and respectful and clean (which was important when he cleaned a bunch of gunk out of one of my furnaces). I am very happy with my service today and will request Jordan again in the future. read more

We pretty much have Any Hour on speed dial anytime we have an issue in our home! This time we were having our furnace serviced - Robin M. did an excellent job. He was very careful and thorough and explained everything clearly. He also noticed an urgent issue happening with our water heater, and was able to call in and get us another technician out almost right away to get that taken care of as well. Ultimately Robin recommended we get a new furnace for safety issues, and had his supervisor come out to verify his work and give us another opinion. We ended up having a lot of technicians in our home that day and we couldn't be more pleased with the level of service they provided, and have consistently provided us over the years. We definitely recommend Robin and Any Hour! UPDATE: I also have to include Josh in this review, as he is the technician that came back the next day to install our new furnace. Josh was professional and efficient, and stayed longer than he needed to just to make sure everything was working correctly. We weren't expecting to have to purchase a new furnace suddenly, but Any Hour made the process so easy and everything went smoothly. We are very pleased with Josh and Any Hour! read more

I had Any Hour come to clean a drain and when they ran a camera in the drain they said there was a pipe that had been corroded and needed replaced. They first quoted me $6,200 and 1 day into the job said it would be almost $2,300. more, for a total of $8,500. They left my house a mess, drove on my lawn and ruined my grass, nicked all of my walls, left the new cement they put in uneven, left a pipe protruding so that I cannot put the sheet rock back over it and did not explain any of that. They said they may crack a few tiles in my bathroom around the toilet getting it out and they broke almost every tile in the whole bathroom. They said I would not be without any plumbing or laundry overnight and we have been without washer and dryer for 3 days and kitchen sink overnight. After explaining our concerns they said that we should have known that that stuff needed to be done to complete the job and maybe they should have explained things better. I was told they would talk to my home owners insurance about the problem and have yet to return the ladies phone call so my claim has been denied. Scott lied and then stopped returning my calls when he got my money. Worst company ever! Do not use!! read more

Any Hour, from my first experience, seems like a good, honest company to do business with. Today Enos came and did a tune-up on two furnaces, which took about 2 hours (he was here a total of 2.5 hours after going over the results and paperwork). He was a very upstanding guy, very honest, and very cordial. I nice guy all around. For the past two or three days I have been watching sting operation videos on YouTube about scams done by heating/air conditioning and plumbers where they rip people off by many hundreds of dollars on repairs that are absolutely unnecessary, so I was worried about these guys coming and doing the same thing. Any Hour definitely did not fit that mold. Enos did the work he was supposed to do and didn't try to up-sell or make up any stories about things that needed to be replaced. He was a very honest guy. After he was done I mentioned watching the videos and that I was worried about him coming, and he told me that the company is very particular about who they hire, doing four different interviews on prospective employees before they are hired. Thank you Enos for being a superb great guy, and for your honest work. read more

I have always been hesitant to trust the furnace and AC tune-up and inspection deals fearing an upsell or maybe even someone finding a problem that did not exist before the inspection. My 2 furnaces were 8 years old. I thought I should have someone look at it even though they have been functioning great. I heard about an add for $29 per furnace for an inspection on the radio. I called and set up an appointment. The technician arrived on time. He looked and acted professional, and he was very respectful of my home making sure he didn't make a mess or leave foot prints in my home. He worked on both furnaces. 2 hours later, he discussed each furnace with me in detail. Both were in great condition. He gave me a few items to watch for in the future. No upsell, no mystery new problems. Now I can rest knowing I don't have any leaks or issues. The deal was exactly as they stated it would be on the radio ad. I was so impressed, I've made an appointment for them to come check my 2 AC units. It's nice to have a company I feel like I can trust in an industry that sometimes doesn't have the best reputation. read more

Mark was very nice and polite. He put put shoe covers on before he came in the house and was very respectful. I showed him where I wanted an extra outlet put in. He told me how much he thought it would cost after looking at his price book. We then discussed two other options for the outlet placement and how to run the wires. I agreed to our initial plan and price. I went upstairs and thought he had begun working on the outlet. 20 to 30 minutes later he came to me with three options written out and new prices. The new prices for the work we had discussed were all a lot more expensive- some as much as double as what he originally quoted 30 mins earlier. Needless to say I was not willing to pay twice as much money as he had originally told me. I asked him to leave and paid only the the service call fee. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. It was a waste of my time. He was here for 90 mins to give me those quotes. I just wish he would have told me the accurate prices to begin with. FYI they do have coupons on their website. read more

They replaced our sewer system. We were shocked to find out that we had to replace 80 feet of pipe all the way across the street. They also told us West Valley City requires you to remove the old dirt and replace it with all new fill when replacing pipes in the street. They were honest and up front about all they would have to do and all the things they would not cover and why. It is so unusual now to have a contractor be honest and up front about everything. Most will tell you what they think you want to hear so they can get the job and then they come to you in the middle of the work and tell you it will cost you a lot more money because of some unknown thing, like removing and replacing the fill in the street. But not Any Hour. They told us about all that would need to be done from start to finish and what the cost would be and it didn't cost anything more than what we were quoted. They are honest and do excellent work. I will have them do any work on all my plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs. Thank you Any Hour. read more

Contracted Any Hour for a $49 service special for a water heater for an elderly lady that I take care of. Her pilot light would not stay lit. Unfortunately, I was unable to be there for this particular appointment. A young lad came and saw that the water heater was 22 years old. Immediately, he punted and said that there was nothing to be done. Since I am the caregiver, he sent me three quotes ranging from $4,000-$6,000 to replace the water heater. The write up that he provided was absurd. This water heater has not been used in all this time. The widow lives on the ground floor and this was upstairs. I went to inspect the water heater and found that it only needed the air inlet screen to be cleaned. I did and the water heater works just fine. Didn't cost me anything. I know that these guys are programmed to upsell. But, shouldn't they also be looking out for the widows and the elderly? Pathetic. I will never use them again. In Utah Valley, go with Real Plumbing. Father and sons outfit that is the real deal. read more

Beginning with Samuel S., who came out to do a full assessment of my systems (I have 3 furnaces and 3 a/c's), I really enjoyed the experience I had with Any Hour. He did a thorough check of my systems and gave me options regarding repairs. He was courteous and kind, and I felt comfortable having him in my home. He connected me with a rep to discuss a September special, after which I met with Garrett E. He gave me a number of choices of replacement equipment and explained the different choices. He stayed in touch and answered my questions through the installation process. A team of 3 service reps came to install 2 full systems: Chris, Wes, and Skyler. All were professional and pleasant, and worked hard for 9 hours straight (without a break) until everything was installed and tested. I had such a good experience that I decided to have another rep come and speak with me about replacing a very old water softener. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend the company highly!! read more
