The only great thing was how quickly they were able to come out and the price for the service call was cheap. As soon as the technician arrived (3 hours after the appointment time) the bill started. All we needed was new fittings under the sink. Tech claimed he had to first test the water pressure and if it was off it would be $300. Then he claimed the fittings would be $600-$700 to fix. After we stated that was too high he told us to F*$% Off. Definitely would not recommend using Any Hour for any services. Horrible customer service and insane prices. We had a second plumber come and quoted $150 for the new fittings. Never using these guys again. read more

After we had them come out and they told us we needed $8,500 of drain pipe replaced under our home, they said we had a one year warranty. Well, not really you don't. One of the issues was our toilet was not flushing correctly. They said the new drain pipes would fix that problem. After we laid new tile down in that bathroom and put in a new toilet, the toilet still flushed the same way, not flushing all the way. We called, just know after they get your money they don't really like to call you back real fast. But they sent someone out, they said the toilet was fine, that someone else needed to come and put a camera down the pipes. That guy came and said he needed to pull the toilet up to put the camera down the new pipes they just put in. We asked if they were going to replace the new tile floor we just put in, they said no. I don't see how because they did not fix the problem, now I have to pay again to re tile my floor that they screw up. He said it was most likely a toilet problem. I said it is a new, good brand, toilet. He said you need to use a "certain" brand of toilet, their viper or one other brand is all he said. I told him if it is the toilet, then you guys were wrong and I just needed a new "certain" brand of toilet, not new pipes. Anyways, long story short, they won't agree to fix the tiles I just laid unless it was a pipe problem, but again, if it is the toilet, then I only needed a new toilet. We got scammed! They will take your money, and leave you with the same problem and say too bad. read more

awful service they are terrible at being on time and the pricing is astronomical, they came to fix a laundery line leak then tried upcharging me on multiple other items and providing me a list of items i needed to repair or id be in trouble if i dont not do it soon and I had to get the protection plan from them to stay safe and make sure my furnace and ac stay in good condition. total scam company and unethical. read more

These guys definitely want to gouge you. TERRIBLY overpriced. They bid a 10 gpm tankless water heater for $5500!. They bid labor only on my own provided unit for $2000!. That is one day of work for $2000! You can find every bit the quality for at least 1/2 the price elsewhere. Anyhour is NEVERHOUR for me. read more

I would not recommend this compay to any one. They prey on your fears, to oversell more than you need, charge vey high prices. LIE about what is needed and additional charges. Do not follow through with what they said they would do. they will be reported to the BBB for some of the crap pulled. read more

These guys are honest and fast-- they will wait for you--if need be, and are always there with a big smile. The only thing I was upset about the last time they came to my home was the boss said the technician who was installing a new Furnace in my home would clean out the intake vents when he was there. So being a nice person I took all the covers off and cleaned them before he showed up. When he was leaving I asked if he was going to clean them out and he said no his vacume was full. I told him he could empty it in my outside trash, and he still declined. So on my own with a regular house vac. I attempted to clean them myself. In the future if u tell a customer something ---do it-- It's only fair after paying 3,800.00 for a new furnace. Thanks read more

NEVER, EVER ENLIST THIS COMPANIES SERVICES WITHOUT READING THIS AND REVIEWING PHOTOS...In late June-we enlisted this companies services to upgrade an 80+ year old mans home, this home was in need of complete re-wiring and to be brought up to code. Un urgent situation prompted him to call this company and not being computer savy he relied on their advertising promises and the representatives they sent out. An original estimate and a 3 day time approximation was given. What started out as a 16,000+ price quote for ONLY the outside...began to climb almost daily with time to complete extending to maybe this day, probably this day. Then we were hit with another $17,000. for the INSIDE!! My friend being elderly, knew no better and was easily swayed but their reasons and supposed difficulties justifying the price increase. I repeatedly requested written detailed estimatesa and invoices but they never had them, no paper on the truck etc..As the inside started I was mortified by the thick industrial cable (MC) used. It snakes exposed on the the walls, corners,baseboards...I was constantly told this was normal and that homeowners paint it to match wall colors..I voiced my doubts many times but was always rebutted. Toward the 2 week mark we left for 3 days...We were told that upon our return wpork would be completed and all proper inspection will have taken place. We were to have taken one last look with the workers, but upon our arrival we were in shock. Immediately we had a consultant from another Salt Lake company that has been in business for over 50 years take a look. He walked in and his face said it all. In over 30 years of doing electrical he had NEVER,EVER seen a home this bad. He said he would not wire an outdoor shed this way. He immediately told us to call local TV stations, an attorney, the Salt Lake City Inspector, The Permit Dept. and The Dept. of Professional Liscencing. He offered his condolences to my friend and told us the entire job could have been done properly and legally for 1/3 the price. We cancelled the final check. The calls were made and the rest is more incredible....They TOLD us they had secured ALL permits... We didn't have to worry there. Only one permit was taken out and that was for ONE OUTDOOR meter. Since, 2 more very reputable and well known Salt Lake electrical companies have come and reviewed the work...Needless to say they were also appalled calling it unbelievably sloppy, shortcuts taken at every conceivable turn, pointed out various infractions and again they both came with prices that were 1/3 of the final price of ANY HOUR ELECTRIC charges which now had grown to .. to...BRACE YOURSELVES.. $33,000+ .All suggested that we take action to full extent as taking advantage of the elderly in a very serious thing in Utah...We will send a a certified letter to the owner and after reading other reviews it seems doubtful he will rectify and refund monies. read more

I had one of your service men come to the home and repair a burst pipe and two frost free base bibbs. He was at the home for 2 hours and charged $976.00, he would not provide me with an itemized invoice only stating all the damage that would be done if I did not have the plumbing repaired. He used scared tack ticks. He also tried to sell a Comfort Assurance Plan for $400.00+. He stated after turning the water off and other things he would not start the repairs until the invoice was signed. The issue is there was never an itemized list of labor and parts. Is this your normal business practice? Very unprofessional. He also wanted to charge an additional $488.00 for a PRV stating on the invoice he would not warranty the repairs unless he was allowed to come back and install a PRV for $488.00. He was given a check for $976.00 and over charged me by $500.00. I have contacted several other plumbers and companies went over the repairs and they have all stated they have gotten continued reports regarding Any Hour Plumbing. As a friend told me report the situation to Angie List and ripoffreport etc. Which I am incline to do. I'm sure you think $976.00 is a good price, but if you look at the price of parts and normal labor its not. $100.00 per hour=200.00 $35.00 per frost bibb=70.00 $30.00 for copper pipe You are overcharging and seem to be okay with it, which I find sad. I will never recommend your company and happen to work in an industry where you would get additional clients and work. Debbie read more

My normal plumber wasn't able to come so I called Any Hour Services and asked their prices before setting up an appointment. I was told they charged less than $40 to come and then would charge per hour they were here. They were here maybe 20 minutes (at least 10 of those were checking to see if they could charge me for additional services) and then charged me $251 (after a $40 coupon) for 10 minutes of work. Not what I had been told but I had to pay it because my husband is out of town on business and I can't have the sink leaking until he returns. UPDATE (8/14/2016): As you can see, I got a response to my first message that they want to discuss the matter. I responded to that message very nicely and said how grateful I was that we could discuss the matter but NEVER received a response back. This company doesn't want to talk to me about it. They don't want to uphold their original quote. Parts for my project were less than $10. They just want a reply public so that it looks like the company cares. Again, how they represent themselves is not what happens. Beware! read more

So I had a mainline back up on me I had crap and feces all over my basement not something fun to wake up to on a Sunday morning. I called my regular plumbers and could not get a hold of them so I decided to call Any hour and after a long wait on the phone I finally got a hold of someone they told me they were not open I am thinking to myself wow this is crazy this is called any hour plumbing services whatever and they were not open. Anyhour was not Open at the hour I needed them somehow I think this is faults advertising. I guess that after having to wait a long time for them to answer the phone it was a Sunday and then just have them tell me they're not actually open kind of pissed me off. I said I have an emergency I got lots of sewer water in my basement and they said sorry we don't have any technicians working today we're not open on Sundays. If there's anyway I could tell them to improve it to be have a recording on the phone telling people that are open on Sundays if someone happens to call him on a Sunday that way they don't have to wait on the phone so long and then call another plumber. My husband and I absolutely love this service. We moved into our home about 5 years ago and immediately, our heating went out. We were lucky enough to come upon Any Hour right away. They came the very next day, even though it was the dead of winter, and I'm sure they were very busy. The consultation was awesome! They weren't just out to get our money. They explained the differences between a repair vs. replacement and gave me real options and opinions. I felt so comfortable working with them. We chose a new furnace, and the company came out right away the next day. They were the most respectful and courteous service men I've ever met! The work was efficient and reasonable. I would recommend these guys to anyone! Thank you, Any Hour! read more

Called to have my air conditioner looked at that had stopped working the night prior and the lady on the phone was very professional and scheduled someone to come out that afternoon (I should have known better, with all the other companies I called not being able to come out for 2-3 days!) Matt came out to fix it and found the motor was dead inside I'm the furnace, was quoted upwards of 2,000 to fix it down to $850 just to replace the motor! What should have been a $500 (this is what other companies charged when I called to get quotes after the fact!) job, I was charged $850 for. They claim the employees all have background checks and are certified, but I doubt that and wouldn't pay that much extra! I know we got ripped off by a ton and they didn't even offer me the $35 discount from their yelp page when my husband got after him for the cost! When I asked for the breakdown it was even "broken-down!" It was simply the price on a piece of paper. I would never use this company, I would follow the yelp reviews and use a company with a longer wait to save you a few hundred bucks! There is a reason they can get you in the same day you call..... read more

Terrible, terrible. NEVER call them. Not to be trusted. I had my home inspected and the electrical work was passed as up to code. Then, when my dryer wasn't working, I called these guys because I'd seen their ad in the paper. They came right away and proceeded to tell me my entire electrical panel was "unsafe and obsolete." He was nice but quick to use fear to try to get me to spend money, trying to convince me that my house was probably going to burn down if I didn't get my entire electrical panel and wires fixed ($3,000, by the way-- the very last of our meager first time, new homeowner savings). In a panic, I called another electric company for a second review and told them my plight. The man said, "oh, you must have been talking to 'Any-hour,' they do that all the time. There is nothing wrong with your breaker." Since then I have been gathering more and more stories from friends and their bad experiences with this untrustworthy company. Stay away! read more

I had an HVAC system "Installed" from Any Hour, and when I say "installed" they have not completed the job and it has been over 9 weeks. I went with the company despite them being more expensive because I was told that they had the best customer service and guarantee of 100% satisfaction. The technician that performed the install could not get the unit working properly so ensured us someone would be out within the week to correct the issue, 9 weeks later this has still not happened. The finance company is ready to collect and Any Hour is trying to wipe their hands clean stating job is complete even though the contract is not signed. I have called multiple times attempting to get them to come out and finish the job and never get calls returned. This is until I contacted the finance company and placed a complaint on them. Their Manager that finally called back has no clue what customer service is. Working with him is similar to dealing with a teenager, he has taken no accountability for Any Hours lack of action. I will never go through this company again, and will never refer anyone to this company. read more

My AC went out on Thursday Evening, August 24, 2017. I called Any Hour Friday morning and they sent a technician that afternoon. He determined the exterior fan unit and coil needed to be replaced. About 90 minutes later the salesman arrived and gave me the good, better, best quote. Now because my exterior unit was in a tight spot lowered in my backyard concrete patio, the salesman called his supervisor to determine whether the unit should be installed on one riser pad, or two (due to the possibility of pooling water and to clear the concrete step). He also recommended the circuit breaker be replaced and other items be included in the bid price. I selected the "best" option and paid a deposit. The installers came Monday Morning, August 28, 2017. I showed them around and discussed all the additional items in the agreed bid and contract. I then left for work for a couple of hours. When I returned, they were just finishing up. They didn't install any riser pads. They didn't want to replace the circuit breaker. They did install a new exterior ventilation kit, but bent the metal plate leaving large gaps directly into my basement. I had to seal those gaps myself. When confronted, they just said that no one told them to do those things. I guess they didn't realize I was standing right next to the salesman when he made a video with his phone detailing all the included items. Very frustrating. No one from Any Hour has followed up with me regarding a refund of the charged items that were never installed. Too many layers; repairman, salesman, installer. Everyone just blames someone else. Disappointing experience. read more

Very expensive and tech had a can't do attitude. Needed three old bathroom light fixtures replaced with new ones. Easy job??? Not so. Tech said new light fixture probably wouldn't fit. (It did). Said he needed to cut sheet rock to run electrical wires. (Not the case). Said frame around mirror needed to be removed in order to replace old light fixture. (Not the case). And all this for about four hundred dollars. Appeared he was taking an easy job and turning it into a major project. read more

The technicians are nice and they sell you on themselves and the business. They are great for small jobs like cleaning out a drain (make sure you use a coupon or it's way too expensive). However, DO NOT use them for larger jobs, they will rip you off claiming they are way better than everybody else and no one does it like them. We were bid approx. $8,500 for a job that we had done for $4,000. Other professionals we heard from said they "can't stand those guys ripping people off." We felt pressured to make a decision on the spot and made the mistake of putting a deposit down. They cited having to get permits (which was a lie because none were required for our type of job), and to purchase materials (a pipe). They originally said they wouldn't give us any back due to their policy and the expense they incurred (minimal), but finally agreed to give a partial refund. I've contacted them to get an update on that and still no response or refund over a week later. They're very responsive when it comes to scheduling someone to come out and see how they can charge you, but not when they promise to give any of that money back. I've read several other reviews that are oddly similar to my experience. If no response to this, then it's a complaint to the BBB. read more

I had a problem with the stop valves to bypass my water softener. I wanted the valves replaced because they were not stopping all of the water. The water was still going in to my broken water softener and then draining. This guy Seth comes over and looks at it. He used some channel locks to see if they could be tightened more. They were already pretty tight, but he actually loosened them. He told me it might be because the pressure was too high. Well he then tries to hook up his water pressure gauge to my water heater. The problem was, he couldn't get it on, due to hard water build up. He told me that was the best place to test the water pressure. I just don't believe that and feel that because the water is being pressurized by hot water in the tank, that it would be higher. He wasn't able to connect the gauge to the water heater and connected it outside. The gauge read at 100 PSI. I was told by Seth that this automatically meant the pressure regulator valve for the home was broken. He told me that it stops anything above 75 PSI no mater how I adjust it (if the valve is working), that if it goes above that, the valve is faulty. I asked him to adjust it anyway as a way of troubleshooting. He then told me that the valve was faulty and was unwilling to adjust it. He then proceeded to give me quotes for the cost to do all the work. $525 for the pressure regulator valve. The 2 Gait valves he wanted $394 for. I was thinking this guy was only there for money. I ended up telling him that I needed to think about it. After he left, I adjusted the water pressure regulator, but didn't have a way to test it. I ordered a pressure tester off of Amazon. I got it in and proceeded to test the pressure. 60 PSI. What I had been told was a lie. I didn't need the valve at all. I also was able to tighten the other valves and now have no leaks. BEWARE of this company. The only thing that was good is that they didn't charge me for the service call fee. read more

We are going on a mission soon and thought we'd get a tuneup on our furnace before we left to make sure it would be OK for the person staying in our house. I heard an advertisement on the radio for a $29 tuneup. Let me preface the rest of my remarks by saying that our heater was working fantastic before Brady came out and spent 4-1/2 hours tuning it up. Don't get me wrong about Brady. He was a really nice guy, very polite and professional, but really??? 4-1/2 hours. We definitely got our money's worth as far as time spent doing the tuneup. At any rate, when he was done, he presented us with a bill for the cost of doing what he deemed necessary to "fix" our furnace. The bill was for $3300. Well, before he came, the heater was running just fine!!! Since he left, we can't get the heater to stay on. We go down and turn it on and off and it'll fire up like it's going to work, and then it will shut off a minute later. He said that it was doing this when he showed up, but I, and everyone else who lives here, will assure you that it was running fine. We called Any hour services once before to fix some plumbing issues. The guy came and quoted us $300 for the job. Before he got there, I was calling around to see what others charged. One plumbing company close by said that their charge was $95. So when the tech got here and told me $300, I told him I'd go with the other guy, a reputable plumbing company in my area. He called his supervisor who told him he could come down in price to $150. Why didn't he just give me that quote in the first place? Well, while he was there, he also told me that I needed a new water heater because there was a small leak. I have never seem any leak and that was several years ago and the water heater has been just fine. We had to call them back because just a short time later, the same plumbing issue surfaced. To their credit, they did come back out and remedied the situation free of charge. Had I remembered that the plumbing problem was dealt with by Any Hour Services, I never would have called them for the heater tuneup. My husband reminded me later that they are the ones we had had problems with before. If, in the future, I have problems of this nature in my house, and if I remember, I will probably never call this company again. read more

I don't usually like to give negative reviews but I was quite frustrated with my experience. Air conditioner stopped working last night so I called this morning and they said they could have someone out to my house between 5 and 7:00 PM. Great, that works. They called me at about 4:00 and said we have someone that can come to your house between 4:30 and 4:45, even better! Andrew showed up and was extremely friendly and did a great job. I have no issues with the quality of service of Any Hour. I explained the problem and the first thing he said was your capacitor is probably dead. So we went and he checked it and sure enough that was the problem. He put a new one in and it worked great. As he was installing it he told me that it was a big capacitor and that it would be more expensive. He told me what kind of capacitor it was so I decided to look it up. Found out the capacitor costs anywhere from $8.00 - $25.00. When Andrew came in with the invoice he said the capacitor cost $266 and the service fee of $59. I asked him what the difference was between their capacitor and the one I could buy online. He said we have a warranty on ours. Okay great, but the capacitors, is there any difference and he said probably not. THAT's A 2,000% MARKUP! I'm paying $59 for the labor and service call, which I'm fine with. Why on earth are you marking up parts so much? I can understand even a 100% markup, I'd even pay it for convenience, but 2,000%? Andrew great service, great job, but I'll never use Any Hour again. read more

We had a punctured gas line in our kitchen that needed to be fixed so we called Any Hour. My wife was the only one home when they came and they tried to charge her $600. At the same time we just so happened to have another certified HVAC professional come to install an appliance. He said he could do it for $150. So she tried to cancel and they told her she would have to pay $180 just to cancel. $150 diagnosis fee and $30 for the call. Well we already knew where the puncture was, so that charge was bogus. It took getting a MALE family friend to bring the price down to $300 for the fix, as I was unavailable. Mark A was great! I needed a large light installed in my daughter's room that has a vaulted 11 foot ceiling and an odd light/fan box. He was able to come out that day and had it done quickly and neatly (was a very tedious job). Even took the time to clean up all the little styrofoam beads and depose of the large box it came in. I've never hired a electrician (have always installed lights and fans myself) so I have nothing to go off of, but I do feel it was a little overpriced. If I had been thinking, I would have planned better and had other electric items done as well (change smoke detector batteries, replace 2 story lightbulbs, etc) to make the trip a little more cost effective. Overall, still pleased and happy that I called. read more

I had them replace the old breaker panel, install a panel surge protector, run a new circuit to the fridge and one to the bathroom, and install a new wire and box for a light in the living room. Any Hour is way too expensive!!! Because I had more apartments to do, I finally got two other bids on the exact same procedure and one was half the price (Black Diamond Electric) and the other bid was a third the price (Bright Solutions). Hire these people instead, and save a lot of money. Any Hour folks are nice people, and do quality work, but you pay dearly for it ... And frankly, it's a waste of your money! You'll get licensed, experienced contractors that do quality work with these other people, and not waste your hard earned money. But wait ... there's more that you need to know about. You won't get the entire truth if you just listen to the Any Hour sales pitch. Let me give you some examples: They gave me the choice of a Basic, Deluxe or a Premier package, and attached a 1 yr., 5 yr. or 10 yr warranty. And they said they are either "new breakers", "Good Materials" or "Best Materials." Turns out that the Electric Supply Store told me that all parts have the same warranty, and they all meet the same standards. So the "New", "Good", and "Best" materials is not 100% truthful. There is only ONE residential grade of breaker and panel. Any Hour said they feel certain breakers are better than others. But the cheapest bid I got said they would use Square D brand, and Any Hour rated that brand a good quality. So all warranty is through your contractor, not the parts manufacturer. And the technician said to me how the good ones I paid for "really snap in well." Truth is that they all snap in. The technician told me at least twice that their company does price matching and that they are "average priced". This is misleading. They are not "middle priced" among all electrical contractors like you would think that comment means. They are only average priced with the big companies that rip you off, or "middle priced" among the most expensive companies. But they are way more expensive than many, reputable, licensed electricians. They are not average priced among all electrical contractors which is the impression I received. I asked them to please give me an average price like they promised, but they would not budge. I even sent them the other two bids that I got because they asked for them, and after looking at these other bids (which were pricing the same exact work for 1/2 the price or less than Any Hour) still they would not drop the price one dime. I feel like I've just become a victim of price gouging. They replaced the panel without pulling a permit from the city which is against code. They disconnected the meter without contacting Rocky Mountain Power which is also not right. Finally, in an attempt to make me a satisfied customer, they came back to the job, and moved the breaker panel to a better location (which was another problem, but one which they resolved). I appreciated that, but the price of $3879 which I had to pay Any Hour was well over twice as much as the company I have had come do the work on the other apartments (and they did a good quality job too). The moral of the story is don't get in a hurry to get the job done. Use Yelp and always get more than one bid. Otherwise you might make the same mistake I did, and trust the first company that you talk to. read more

Upon inspection, the technician told my wife that it would be a $600-$800 job. She thought that this seemed way to high so she gave me a call. I spoke to the technician and he gave me the run down of the associated costs. $500 for the part and between $100-$300 for labor, depending on how long the job took. I quickly looked up how much a pressure relief valve costs, and to my surprise, learned that they were in $100 range. I asked the technician why he was trying to screw me over and he immediately started back peddling. Needless to say, I told him to get out of my house and that we wouldn't be needing his services. I ended up going with Pardner's Plumbing and the entire job cost $190. read more

HIGHLY UN-RECOMMENDED. These guys are an overpriced rip-off! For a cost of $108, I called them out to inspect and tune up my furnace that was having a few issues. Mark R. quoted and outrageous price of $1468 to replace two sensors that were going out and 'bring me up to code' on two separate issues. If I wanted to just replace the sensors and not worry about the code problems the quote was $884. The guy was also saying that given the age (12 yrs) it would be wise to consider just replacing my furnace for about $4500 rather than repairing this one. I ended up buying the two sensors myself online for about $45 including shipping and replaced them myself in less than 20 min. The other annoying thing is that they put their 'Any Hour' logo/sticker on my furnace and another on my hot water heater. They didn't even service my hot water heater and yet they plastered their service call sticker right over the info for the company who I had installed it. I was outraged by this cowardly act. This is no way to conduct straight forward business. read more

Mark came to do electrical work for me. He did a great job. He listened to what I needed and gave me my options and prices for each. He then did the job and I was thrilled with it. I would highly recommend Mark for your electrical work!!! read more

i was impressed initially with the professional appearance and timeliness of the person who came to give us a cost estimate on reconnecting some electrical outlets in our newly remodeled kitchen. The estimate took 30 -45 minutes and included services we had not requested. I had estimated that the time required to do what we needed to have done would be around 2 hours with little if not zero cost for parts. Turned out the cost estimate for a very simple job came in at almost $700. A reasonable cost would have been at most half that amount. Additionally, what bothered me was that once I let him know we were not interested in having them do a bunch of things he recommended, that we had never asked for, he seemed to have lost interest in doing the smaller job. He essentially collected his dispatch fee and left. Turned out to be a waste of time for all. I don't know if this is their typical approach to jobs or not but I do wonder how many people get duped into having either unnecessary or unwanted work done because they do not have the expertise to determine if what they are being told is even true. In any event, I would not contact this group again for electrical service. Mike S read more

Very dishonest company.. I hired them to do two "swamp cooler start-ups" on my office building which you would think would imply that the swamp coolers would "start up" after their service. They came out, looked at the units and told me that the motors etc were bad and could not be "started up". They DID NOT PERFORM ANY WORK on the coolers but charged the full price anyway. I tried to resolve this with the company multiple times but never received a return call from the owner or management. I called in as a new customer and asked what they would charge to come and inspect the condition of two coolers on my office, the receptionist told me that they would charge $59 to come and inspect the coolers. I sent in a check for that amount along with an explanation. I never heard anything back from them and thought the matter was resolved... 4 months later I was contacted by a collections company for the balance plus fees. Again I left a message for the owner and never heard back... WARNING: DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL THEY ARE DONE! They will ask you to sign something to "start" the work.. but if you look at where you sign, it says "all work has been performed to my satisfaction". STAY AWAY from this company, they would have no problem taking advantage of anyone. I have had much better service with Western Heating and Air. read more
