We ordered the Antonucci Pizza and it was AMAZING. The pizza is not too greasy, a little crunchy, and the peppers are fresh and vibrant in color. I would absolutely eat here again. The owner greeted us as we came in and staff was very friendly. Pizza was ready in a timely fashion as well (15ish mins). There is only outdoor seating, so bring a coat if it's cold and you plan on eating in. These pizzas are premade in advance. I ordered the special pizza. When I got the pizza home the dough was soft and spongy. They didn't have real Italian sausage. Instead it was crumbled sausage. Real sausage has larger pieces with caraway seeds. I asked them if I could have 1/2 the specialty and half pepperoni but they told me they cant do that because these are premade pizzas. We had hardly any toppings on one side and different peppers on each side. One side had red and the other had green. The worst part of it all is that the pizza was so spongy which made it awful. For an Italian pizza restaurant, this place does not make the pizza right. We had about 3 mushrooms and some onions. I would not recommend this pizza. It is NOT an authentic Italian pizza and was cheaply made. I was hoping the pizza was like the one I had before which was great because my niece was visiting from Wisconsin and I wanted her to have good pizza but they let me down. read more

GREAT FOOD! I had the nicest talk with the lady who runs Antonucci's, while awaiting my Alfredo and Lasagna. They have prices that are a little expensive, but the food is generally worth it. I have had the same order for the last few times I have been there. The lasagna is good, though a bit bland for my taste. I can always add pepper. No problem. The Alfredo has always been tasty and creamy. It is always HOT. I mean HOT. They must cook this and then put it in the oven while you wait. After talking to the owner, this quaint little take out only spot is a transplant for California, like most around here now. They owned and operated a restaurant in California that they sold when running away from the communists there. It shows, too. They have great food and I hear wonderful pizza (Read my review for Viking PIzza) I have a problem when going here, though. I'm sorry, but we were SO hungry, and our dinner looked SO good....I forgot to take pictures, so you're gonna have to trust me on this. The food has that old world Italian flavor. Rich savory causes and distinctive herbs. Delicious! The restaurant is bright, neat and clean and the staff is attentive and very nice! It is carry out only, but that was fine with us as we were staying down the road in a hotel and just ate in. Update: Antonucci's now has soup! I had the Zuppa Toscana, and it was one of the best I've ever had! Also, I have had the Penne Alla Vodka and it is now my favorite item to order. As part of a random conversation, Antonucci's came up as a new spot in Spring Hill. We heard the pizza is legit Italian pizza pie and so we had to give it a try. I'll say, Antonucci's did not disappoint. First, the hot and spicy chicken pizza was booming with flavor. Not too spicy and not to bland, it was perfect. The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The sauce was flavorful. And there was a good amount of cheese. We got a couple of desserts -- lemoncello cake and a cannoli. Just the best Italian in middle TN!!!! Traditional and authentic Italian food that tastes like home!!! We tried a few items in the menu and they were all so tasty and perfectly cooked! It is a takeout only, but they do have some tables outside that you can sit and enjoy your meal. They packaged the food so well, that we drove 15 mins home and the food was still perfectly warm! My wife and I tried Antonucci's for the first time today and we're not disappointed whatsoever. The food is excellent and has that back home in NJ taste for me. This will be my only review as I have no intention of returning to a restaurant that charges you for two full toppings when ordering two half toppings, i.e., half pepperoni/half sausage and you will be charge a full amount of $1.95 for each topping. While looking at my receipt, (the restaurant is take-out although there is a small table to sit and wait), I asked they young man in his early twenties who rang up my order why I was charged for two toppings. He stared at me blankly. A female employee in her 40's - 50's standing next to him said 1) they had no control over the way the system is set up and 2) this was the first time someone brought it to their attention. I said that if I had known I would be charged for two full toppings that I would have ordered one topping. I was the only person in the restaurant and asked if they could charge for a singe topping then step back to the kitchen area which was about ten feet away and instruct the kitchen to prepare a half and half pizza but charge for a single topping. I was told that the place gets busy sometimes a the register and in the kitchen. There was no apology and no offer for a refund. I asked for a refund on one topping and was told that it couldn't be done since I paid with a credit card. Sensing I was not happy and about to say something else, the female employee offered to give me the $1.95 refund in cash. It is not uncommon for people buying pizza to order half and half - that should easily have been a no-brainer when the "system" was set up and if you have no control of it, and obviously no apology or concern that you may have been overcharging since 1976, I question your business ethics. I, also, find it hard to believe that I am the first customer who has said something but when a customer points out an overcharge don't get defensive and throw it back at the customer for pointing out something that you should already know. Own it and offer a refund because it is it a ripoff to the customer and it has probably been going on for a while. Perhaps customers may not have noticed and, like me, simply won't return. read more

Off the beaten pathway of Spring Hill -- one block from Main Street AKA U.S. 31 -- this recent discovery by my family was very surprising & encouraging. Take out orders only (a few picnic tables sit next to the small building under patio lights) since the footprint is too small for indoor seating. Our pizza was very good. We called ahead for the order & they called us back to let us know it was ready before we even arrived! The menu is pretty extensive including cold deli sandwiches, soups, salads and of course a slew of hot Italian faves. Open seven days a week. Lunch specials are from 11-3 each day w/ several entrees under ten bucks. Located on School Street about 150 yards South of the old & former Spring Hill High School (now filled with shops) -- you can make out the distinctive outline of an old high school's gymnasium right next door to the restaurant. Ambiance and decor is very simple and clean -- the small entrance area of the venue has room for a couple of refrigerators with grab and go drinks and the four foot checkout counter. This is the best authentic Italian we've had in quite awhile. Moved here last year and finally tried this GEM. We loved the Lasagna! My husband said best he's ever had, and we are from Chicago so that's saying a lot! The meatballs were also delicious! For a treat we tried the Tiramisu - wow fantastic !! So light and flavorful!
