I'm shocked that this place is rated so highly. When I first arrived, I had to stand outside of the locked facilities with no one visible inside and a sign notifying me that they were busy. I stood there for 10 minutes and almost left. The office itself is tiny, and the cramped massage stalls are curtained off from the reception area. There was no sense of ambiance like you'd get at the Four Seasons or Elaia: nowhere to lounge, relax, and drink tea. I felt weird undressing, knowing that customers would be checking into reception two meters away and that only a curtain separated them from my naked body. I've felt conflicted about leaving this review because my masseuse was nice. But he was also incredibly rough; my roughest massage to date, and I specified that I prefer light pressure and that I have a connective tissue disease. He was also talking to me through my entire massage, which made me unable to relax; I'm an introvert, and despite receiving massages all over the world every week, I've never been spoken to before during a massage, and didn't know what to do. I couldn't bring myself to ask him to stop because I couldn't think of a single iteration of that sentiment that didn't sound super rude. I think clients should be asked if they want to converse - I don't think this practice is friendly to neurodivergent or autistic people. He asked me about my problem areas (my neck, after a failed cervical spinal procedure, and my hamstrings), but spent most of the session digging into the side of my hip against the bone so painfully that I almost yelped several times. He returned to this area over and over once it was already excruciatingly tender, and it was like pressing hard into a fresh bruise. All in all, I left stressed out and in a lot of pain. My physical therapist told me I really should start going for medical massages instead of spas because of this experience, and my husband told me he never wants to pay $150+ for me to come home hurting again. The Four Seasons is in the same price range and only a few blocks away, and they have a beautiful spa with spacious facilities, a changing room, showers, refreshments, etc.; the moody & eclectic Spa Noir is also close, just in Belltown, and much more affordable with gorgeous private massage rooms. There's the spa at Hotel 1000, just down 1st, with a complementary foot soak; a 10 minute walk to the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is the luxurious Penelope & The Beauty Bar, with a full salon and impressive selection of artisanal candles and fragrances. Unfortunately, I can only recommend Antonio Spa to people who don't care about spa amenities, and who prefer conversational massages with very deep pressure. read more

I had my first facial here (60 minute) and it was amazing! Super relaxing environment and overall a great vibe. Noelle asked about my current skin care routine, conducted a skin analysis, and tailored my facial based on my skin. I was impressed by her professionalism and knowledge - she provided a lot of great information on how to improve my skincare. She also walked me through what the facial was going to look like and explained the purpose of each step. Afterwards she walked me through a couple products she would recommend and gave me a handful of samples. I took the bus to the spa as it is a busy location downtown and I could see how parking could be stressful. I would definitely recommend the facials here and I hope to be back soon! read more

AMAZING MASSEUR ALERT! I haven't had a massage for over 7 years. In that time I have endured a lot of stress. I was gifted a session with Nathan who I'm pretty sure is some kind of Earth Angel. What could have been a routine massage was instead a healing session. Nathan was able to relieve my worst knots with a tender but strong touch. This along with his uplifting sweet demeanor and words of comfort.. all made for an amazing experience. I felt I left a therapy session too. Had a wonderful customized facial. Ask for Brigette. She was great. I felt so pampered. My first time so didn't really know what to expect. She tailored the facial to my skin. Brigette added on the oxygeneo treatment which is suppose deeply exfoliates and hydrates the skin. Plus the ultra sound therapy to boost collagen and firm the skin. There was some kind of deeply nourishing mask and facial massage was felt really good. Her hands are really soft. After leaving the salon I could feel my skin was hydrated and not as dry as it normally is. Pretty refreshing experience. read more

Visited Masumi in October after a ton of research & hesitance trying to find a microblading artist that 1) creates thin, actual hair-like strokes, 2) talks about "fluff" & can do a natural asian brow shape, not just a one-shape-fits-all look & 3) had easy scheduling & great location to accommodate busy clients! I was clearly a psycho with the number of reviews I've read over the years (at least 5 years of debating), but eyebrows are supreme & I've been burned before with random hair decisions I've made, so I just wanted to make sure my semi-permanent face tattoo was going to be perfect. With all that said, I'm writing this review 6 weeks after my second session with Masumi & I LOVE MY BROWS. During my appointments, she took the time to make sure I'm feeling comfortable & listening to the look I was hoping to achieve. I said I wanted subtle brows & she delivered! The fact that she got microblading done on her own brows makes her relatable - she GETS IT. Most days i do nothing with my eyebrows (used to use Anastasia brow wiz every morning). Now at most I'll throw in some brow gel for special events, which only makes my brows look more fluffy & naturally bold. I've gotten my lashes done at a few different places over the years and I didn't know what I was missing until I came to Erica. I thought it was the norm to have what I would consider a sparse amount of heavy-feeling lashes twisting around, being halfway on and falling out (taking my precious eyelashes with them), all the same dairy-cow length. Erica is truly an artist that understands the face wholistically and also what lash extensions should look and feel like (hint: your real lashes, but better!). First off, Antonio Spa is a true oasis of loveliness and calm. Its spirit animal is a spring day with a hammock and some butterflies -- and by that I mean it's comfortable, airy, has great light, and smells like flowers and sunshine. The phone ring is some happy chiming sound, if you need proof. The demeanors of everyone here are naturally very relaxed and kind (I could hear some voices murmuring as I nodded off... and boy were the voices deep and pleasant... like a santa claus that does your brows for you... or something). The location of this place is right downtown so you can grab some cherries at the market, then head over for a treatment or a massage. Once inside, you aren't nickeled and dimed over a particular number of lashes per eye and no one asks you questions that will trigger your decision-fatigue like if you prefer the J curl or the something-something... It's all about what's right for you and your face. It's not all about getting in and getting out either. Erica works at the speed she needs and customizes the volume and length based on your conversations. Right off the bat, Erica understood the idea of layering different lengths and blending with your natural curve (so your lashes aren't completely fake looking and you don't end up all muppety). She explained to me about new growth vs. the more mature lashes I had and how she customized mink hair to affix and fan to my own. I never once felt like there was a tiny elf tugging on my eyelids. In fact, there was barely any feeling or indication that anyone was doing anything to my lashes during the process... the whole application was completely gentle. You pretty much just fall asleep... and wake up to a lash-ier version of yourself. It was clear from the care she took in her communication and execution that Erica has a passion for doing lashes and that she is a top notch aesthetician. So far, I haven't experienced any shedding which is a miracle... or maybe it merely means she uses the correct amount of glue and bonding time, unlike some places I've been ;) anyhoo, I felt completely comfortable in her capable hands. Just had my second lash/brow tint by Elana. She meticulously applies the dye to each lash. Her approach prevents any dye from getting into the eye. It's a welcome and far safer approach. All of the other estheticians I've been to spread the dye across my lashes, and inevitably some seeps into my eyes. The tint is actual hair dye and can cause serious injury to our eyes. (California has outlawed lash tints because of the risks.) With Elana, I know that my eyes are completely protected from being directly exposed to the dye. I wish every esthetician used her approach. As an added bonus, the color on my lashes stays longer than anyone else I've gone to. I wish I could give her ten stars. Her skill, thoroughness, and the extra care she takes is phenomenal. read more

When I came in for my appointment Moriah assessed my skin and did a thorough consultation giving me detail on what my skin needed and how we can achieve my results over time. Heidi is amazing! She gave me the best damn facial and an extremely gentle waxing experience (which I didn't think was possible.) Im an avid skincare and wellness buff. I frequent spas and get different services as a hobby. Heidi knows and understands skin she's obviously been doing this awhile. I've never had such great results from just ONE facial. The oxygeneo facial is going to literally fix your face!!! The products smell amazing and are all organic. Heidi's facial massage is spot on! It is not however a sit around in robes kind of spa. The interior of this spa is kind of an open air minimalistic stylishness.. there are really no walls which I will admit took me back a bit. Masumi is amazing! My eyebrows had practically disappeared but I had been afraid of micro blading because I wanted natural looking brows. I have fair skin and fair hair so dark brows weren't going to work for me. Masumi listened to me and gave me eyebrows that look better now than they ever did in my youth. They are the perfect shade for both my hair and skin tone. And the shape is perfect. In short, they look natural...but better. This is what I wanted. For those of you who want something a little more dramatic, I have no doubt she can do that too. The spa is also a lovely and relaxing place. A convenient location across from Antonio Salon in downtown Seattle it is calm and quiet with a comfortable decor. Everyone working there is nice. One final note, I think the best compliment to Masumi's work came from from an acquaintance who is the owner of another salon. He was so impressed with Masumi's work on my eyebrows that he asked for her contact information so he could send his clients to her. Received an absolutely fantastic facial and microblading from Elena. She was thorough, kind, and allowed me to totally relax. She is a total professional and I recommend her services. My skin looked and felt amazing afterward. If I were only rating Elena I would definitely give five stars, however I'm only giving the Spa four stars because the set up, for me, leaves something to be desired. It is a big open space with treatment areas divided only by curtains. This means I could hear everything the receptionist and front lobby customers were saying, including when the receptionist had to deal with a seemingly difficult customer. She explained the products she was using throughout the service, and gave (welcome) suggestions on how I can further improve my skin health.
