If you want frozen french fries, potato salad from a carton, this is your place. Nothing we had was freshly prepared, we asked our waiter, and that is what he told us. Additionally, earlier in the week, we had just arrived into town, with our dog in tow. We saw they had take out, so one of our party went in to ask to borrow a menu, so the rest of us waiting in the car with the dog, could place an order. (It was hot, we didnt want to leave the dog in the car, and wanted something other than fast food. Well, they wouldn't let us take out the menu, so very ridiculous, like we would steal something like that. Bleh. That about sums it up. I didn't expect the moon and stars when I pulled into this place. The service was decent. Mediocre Chicken Caesar Salad, even though I'm pretty sure the dressing was ranch...glad I got it on the side. Chicken was obviously pre-cooked frozen chicken with fake grill marks, but the crumbled bacon on the salad was awesome. My favorite part was when the person I was dining with asked prior to ordering "is the potato salad homemade?" The waitress replied, "sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't, not sure about today." No no no. I was staying in the hotel next door while my van got fixed, so I couldn't drive anywhere. I got my food to go or I would have returned it... I had a grilled sandwich and the grease went all the way through the bread. So gross. They did have a salad bar and the waiter was nice, though scrambling to cover everything solo. Lunch for 3 adults and 2 kids. It was awful! THe "Libby Melt" was so greasy that my mom could not eat it. They forgot my meal and then when I asked them to bring it they brought half cook fries.. my 12 year old ordered the adult Chicken strips for 2 times the cost of the kids meal ( he could have ordered off that menu) and it only had 2 strips.. the same as my 6 year olds meal... what a rip off. Stopped in for a late lunch while driving through Libby. Came to the Antler because a review mentioned a salad bar. We were disappointed to find that the salad bar featured an iceberg lettuce mix. I ended up with an egg salad sandwich and soup, my husband got a chicken sandwich. It was okay; we expected diner fare but I am pretty sure that nothing on our plates was fresh or homemade. Soup tasted like Spaghetti-os. Egg salad tasted like the potato salad - out of a container. Again, we didn't expect much but thought a restaurant might actually prepare food rather than simply opening packages and assembling. It did the trick, though. This restaurant deserves 2.5 stars- it's squarely rooted in the middle of the road. We went there for breakfast while visiting Libby. There were a number of cars in the lot so we thought it would be a good spot. Turns out the clientele is all older folks. I'm pretty sure that they go there because the food is inexpensive. You get what you pay for- pancakes that taste like grease and a powdered mix. I was hoping for huckleberry pancakes but that wasn't on the menu. Nor was there any maple syrup. I should have checked Yelp reviews first, because there's a place right down the road that has good reviews and they have huckleberry pancakes and real maple syrup. It costs more than breakfast at The Antlers, but I'd rather pay a little more for a good meal. Also, the constant 50's sock-hop music is annoying. read more

Libby, Montana: drivinging back from Whitefish, MT to Richland, WA. Stopped for lunch. Good "Mid-West fare" was enjoyed. Restaurant is a step above Denny's for ambiance and square footage. Service was prompt and attentive. We were satisfied! read more

We ate breakfast at The Antler driving through Libby MT on 11/08/2013. CLEAN bathroom, CLEAN dining room, NICE/POLITE waitstaff. Once ordered our breakfast took awhile BUT well worth the wait, it was FANTASTIC and perfectly cooked all the way around. When going through Libby, we will stop again :O) read more

I have eaten there about 5 times for breakfast and it was decent food at a really good price. As mentioned in an earlier review, it is definitely not a 4 star in a big city, but for a small town, it ranks toward the top of the list (at least for breakfast). read more

The service here is slow. The cooking speed is beyond ridiculous. With 6 to 8 small parties in the restauarnt, we are still waiting, after ordering 45 minutes ago, for our lunch. Restaurant was neat and clean. Waitress was pleasant and polite. Food was hot and good. I would come back for dinner and breakfast sometime.

My family all love this place! We were visiting from Texas and while we were in Libby we are here 3 times! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, the people are friendly and provide excellent service. Such a family oriented place! read more

The pictures of the ice cream behind the ice cream case need to be taken down. I went to Antler's specifically for ice cream, thinking I could order something on that picture menu that I had seen before. I was told they do not serve those and their ice cream choices were only the written board out front. Ok, whatev. I'll just have a cone then. I was severely disappointed in the fact it was ROCK HARD! The waitress had to get a big guy (from the kitchen) to scoop it out. Won't be back for ice cream, that's for sure. read more

I ordered the Char grill Chicken Caesar Salad. The chicken was not Char grilled but microwaved. On the upside. They made up for it with a pound of bacon on it. I also asked for a side of dressing and it came in a large cup. (More than enough). The waitress was very very nice and the salad was very large. When I walked in it had a picture of a steak and that is what I wanted to order. Kicker is they don't serve steak. I will probably not eat there again. read more

Service is spectacular, food is ok. If you want a breakfast that will be five stars for this town try Libby Cafe...much bigger portions, better feel and muuuuuuuuch better taste. They should have kept the arby's restaurant instead of this place. read more

This was by far one of, if not the worst, dining experience of my life. My girlfriend and I stopped here for breakfast and were seated right beside the kitchen which was open. We watched waitresses go back and forth taking money and then putting toast and biscuits on plates without washing their hands or wearing gloves. The men in the kitchen were repeatedly scratching and rubbing their face and then continued making the food without washing their hands or wearing gloves. We also watched the kitchen staff and the serving staff fight and bicker numerous times while waiting for our meal that took 45 minutes to arrive. We picked through our food and ended up just leaving and paying instead of finishing it because we were so disgusted with what we had seen. The little bit that we did eat was not good whatsoever (undercooked and cold). This place did an excellent job of ruining our appetite for the rest of the day. read more

Ate there on June 26th and all looked good walking in. Where to start? The spaghetti sauce was canned and made my kid ill, frozen fries were reheated in grease and not cooked all the way through (soggy and gross), hamburgers had a strange aftertaste, the bacon appeared to have been pre-cooked then reheated and plunked on the burger, a grease soaked bun and flat soda pop. Other than that the booth was comfortable and the restrooms were clean. Next time we'll stop at McDonalds, at least we know what we'll get from them.. read more

Stop in Antlers when visiting family and had breakfast was really good with large portions and good service we decided to go back for dinner and had an equally good experience this restaurant the Antlers seems to be only large volume restaurant in libby with buisiness. End result we will be stopping back in and would recomend anyone else to stop and eat at Antlers also so we gave 5 stars read more

Horrible! Even the scrambled eggs tasted weird. I have to follow a special diet and found the help to be extremely unaccommodating. I had to order 2 entrees to get a single meal as they would not budge from the menu..as printed. Then the food sucked. Never again. read more

not sure on older reviews for this place, but I had heard of management and food quality being very good compared to previous owners or management. with that said I took my family in for first time in a few years and we all enjoyed our meal and restaurant was very clean and staff was very good, we will be going back read more
