a plate of food on a table

Recommended dining Appetizer: calamari tastes pretty good. Pasta is well cooked. Seafoods are fresh. Dishes portion: Good portion Waiter service was excellent

We had our company Christmas party this week. We had pre booked several weeks in advance and requested a private room with a prix fix menu for 18 people. When we arrived, the table was not ready... no issue as I was there 10 minutes early to ensure all was ready for our team. When taken to the table it was two separate tables in the main dining room. This was not the separate dining room that we had requested and was confirmed with our deposit. I indicated that was not going to work. The group in the private area was getting ready to check out so they said if we waited, they would set that area up. No apologies and actually felt very much like an inconvenience. Our group of 18 crowded in the entrance until our tables were ready. To be fair, the food was good, but the service was not what was expected. I refilled the wine for our group and cutlery had to be requested and waited for. We had people go to the front to ask for it and by dessert, gave up on forks and just used the spoons that were on the table. No refills on coffee or water. The issue we had a hard time getting past was the cockroach on the wall by the table. I called the young girl folding napkins on a table in our room ?? and she caught it in the napkin... no idea where it went from there. (or if the napkin was folded for the next guest which we suspect) When our server came back with the bill the second time after adjusting for the deposit that we paid in advance, we asked him if he was aware of the cockroach. He said he would look into it...... No sorry, no acknowledgement of the issue. He actually said, "I hope no one brought it into the restaurant in their purse." WOW I have never written a review like this and in fact we had a similar issue with a dirty wine glass (Red wine residue in bottom of a glass of white wine) and a bug at this restaurant during COVID. As it had been a restaurant we had enjoyed in the past, we wrote only a note to management and not a public review as we didn't want to cause more issues to a small business already struggling during COVID. We had no response and did not plan to go back. We totally regret that we did go back, and this was definitely the last time. We do Christmas dinners for our team every year for the past 20+ years, this was the most disappointing experience by far.

Sadly disappointing. Everything about our experience was average. My favorite part of the meal was the delicious balsamic vinegrette that dressed the greens. Calamari batter was crispy but overly seasoned(way too much salt). Dining room was nice and bustling with young and mature patrons. Staff were friendly and clearly doing their best but the rushed undertone a shame. First and last for us, unfortunately.

The place calls itself a authentic Italian restaurant and I decided to pick up food from here. The Egg plant Parmesan was completely raw and we had to throw away the entire dish. The charges at this place are very high and the food quality is no where near. I wouldn't go here again and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My first visit after being recomended by a lot of friends, very welcoming staff, cozy place, we chose to sit in the outside patio although it was a little bit windy but all went just OK. Food was more than great, tastes like home, even portions were very reasonable, prices are very good compared to the portion itself. Will come again for sure.

Horrible Calamari. Dry, tough, salty and chewy. The worst we've ever had in the 35 years we've dined out. Not up to the standard or quality

I reviewed the Calamari plate as a dry, over seasoned, chewy and processed appetizer that couldn't be fresh. The main courses were better. As a compensation the waiter offered a very nice Italian wine which we both enjoyed.

Salad special on a Sunday. Baby arugula, goat cheese, pear, walnuts and balsamic. DELICIOUS!!!!!!

Everything about this place was excellent. All of our dishes were delicious and full of flavour. I'm not usually a pasta person but it was all incredible. Bruschetta and fried calamari are worth doing for appetizers. The pasta dishes were great. Our chicken and shrimp linguini came with a decent amount of meat. Not just majority pasta. Take a good look at the specials on the chalk board. Our waiter didn't make note of them but they were unique options compared to what was on the menu. You can see the kitchen as you walk in which is nice to see they are not hiding anything. Staff was really attentive to our progress but we never felt pressured or rushed. Waiters didn't chat much, which could be a drawback for some people. But they were neither overly or underly friendly. We didn't mind it, the whole dinner experience was seamless, they were attentive to our needs without being in our faces. If you like Creme brûlée, try theirs. It was the perfect ending to our meal.

Great meal today... Brushetta, Mussels, Seafood Luinguine, and half penne a la vodka and Shrimp pasta. My husband was very impressed. Portions were Great, service was spot on. There is a wait for the food... but with great food cooked fresh on order... enjoy your company and food will arrive when it is ready.

We expected a classy Italian restaurant, but it was crowded and was blasting loud dance music.

March 21, 2026: Dinner with my Al & Tony/Heather/Peggy…read more This was a terrific meal but not superb. We actually recognized our server who used to serve at another restaurant we frequent. She's a nice person. The food was between good & very good. The appetizer was fried calamari ($18.99). In this version there was actually calamari in the order. I found it was WAY too salty & a small order but tasty nonetheless. I also had a Caesar salad ($13.00) small order and not overly tasty. My main was the Rosanna Farfalle ($29.00). This was a very tasty dish but the top portion of the order was just lukewarm and the bottom portion was hot. Meaning the order sat for a bit before coming to the table. Still...a very tasty dish. We finished with a rather small portion of Tiramisu ($12.00). This was billed as very tasty. Having had tiramisu around the world & in Italy...this tiramisu was mediocre. With the food, service & ambiance, this place could easily be a 5 star. They just need to step up the food temp & the portion size & it would be there.

For a Saturday in Brampton, I was surprised how busy this place was. I'm glad that I made…read morereservations. We seated promptly and our server was very attentive. We shared a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile and an app. I appreciate it that we were able to enjoy the company amongst each other and not be bothered or pressured with having to split our attention with the server. This restaurant is a little dated however, the food definitely makes up for the quality. I'd recommend nicer seating because I did get tired 30 minutes in as the chairs weren't as comfortable.

If you crave for an authentic taste of Tuscany without flying there, this ristorante is for you!…read moreThey pamper you with the most delicious Italian food you can imagine, the experience you will never forget. Think of getting the white glove service just like the museum.

Meh and expensive…read more Alioli might be the best Italian restaurant on the city, but that doesn't mean it's particularly good. Had the Fittura Mista which is deep fried seafood. I don't like the cornbread breading although my mom did. Dip was good through. Also had the focaccia which we were tricked into getting by the waiter. After we put in our orders he asked if we wanted focaccia, implying that it was complimentary. While it was good I felt misled as we wouldn't have ordered it if we knew it wasn't free. There are better things to get. There was a special monkfish wrapped with bacon. Overcooked and small. Vegetables that came with it was nice Mushroom risotto here is much celebrated so we had to try. This tells me the people who eat here don't get out too often. It tastes ok but clearly tasted like truffle flavour was all from a bottle they poured onto it in the end. The truffle taste felt like it was on top of the dish instead of incorporated into the dish. Overall meh. It these guys have the audacity to charge downtown toronto prices. It's not that good. Service was mediocre. Got an Italian man who looked like he was there for awhile. Said the right things but was absent most of the time. Gave me a chipped plate and instead of replacing it he said he noticed the chip too. Well that makes you look worse dude. Had leftovers and they boxed it for us. Later found out they put our fried appetizer with the wet seafood. That kills the crisp and is pretty stupid to be honest.
