We were randomly driving through the area and were hungry. Originally we pulled in the shopping center to go to a different restaurant when we saw Anthony's. Well Anthony must be under new ownership. this is kind of a rant after doing a review post delivery with the Slice App. First of all, the prices are noticeably higher, the delivery is $5, and the amount of meat in the wrap and subs is less. And, they had to nerve to say it was delivered on time... Apparently I can't drop a screenshot here... but the ordered was 6:54 pm, estimated delivery was 7:39 pm, and while it still hasn't updated in the Slice app, the food was delivered at 8:10pm. I don't see that as on time. They used to be good, now no more orders from me. read more

Inconsistent quality but a local fav that delivers. A more saucy pizza and toppings cut larger than most chains. Delivers on time

This is the second time ordering from Anthony's since I've been in Marshall. The food (we've had pizza and chicken Parmesan) is excellent, delivery prompt and the drivers extremely courteous. I will most definitely be ordering from there again. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I've asked for extra onions twice and there have been barely any on the pizza. Sometimes you find good food in the most random places. After a good morning picking berries at nearby Hollin Farms, we stopped here for a quick lunch. The cheese pizza for my daughter was quite good, and she finished off half the small pie easily. The Stromboli I had was excellent- a nice mix of cheeses with meat and a ton of flavor. I'll keep this short and sweet....this is my favorite pizza place at this time in my life. I am very glad to have tried it, instead of my usual Subway next door. The crust is great. The sauce is great. The topping are plentiful. My #1 pizza at the moment. I've only tried by the slice...and really enjoy asking them for extra sauce too. Food was delivered fast but was highly disappointing! Spent $73 dollars sub was ok pizza but pizza topping hardly visible! Cheese slide off pizza wings had no sauce and where overly dry! Ordered at 7 pm during dinner rush and it's obvious to hey where not at the top of there game! used to love love love these guys but have gone down hill in the past few years!!! read more

Since my first few visits, I've tried several more items on the menu. I'm still a huge fan of the steak & cheese, but the pizza, chicken fingers, and chicken cheesesteak subs are also very good. The chef salad won't leave you hungry & the salads are served with warm bread. The mozzarella sticks are pretty good and the french fries are always cooked perfectly. We used to think no one delivered to us when we first moved out here. Then we learned of Anthony's! It would allow us to have a break during the week (we used to order once a week for a while). We'll, until 6 or 7 month's ago I really liked this place. However, it has gone downhill. The cost of the food is much higher and not to mention the quality of the food has gone down. The bread we received with our order taste like it was made yesterday or the day before (used to work in a pizzeria). It was not warm, not soft, and not fresh tasting. We normally have a pretty decent time here and we live kinda far and they deliver so that's nice. Frustrated. Bought a pizza from them last week. All the toppings slid off. I brought the whole pizza back in to show them. With a picture of how it came and they took 25% off this pizza to replace it. Pretty good scam. Oh you didn't eat the last messed up pizza and brought the whole thing in to prove it. Well pay again this time we assure you we will do a better job. I use Anthony's for kids birthday parties and on nights when I just cannot cook. They deliver, take cards and the pizza is pretty good as well as their Italian sandwich, we do go back. You will not find it a place to have a family evening meal but a lunch, sure, why not. They are fast and have great prices. The only reason I do not give it 4 starts is that the bread sticks and salad leave much to be desired. read more

Ordered a pizza last night, it took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. It took twenty min after I called an hour after ordering and was told "they were busy". Upon arrival it was cold as the night outside. I called back for the third time and was told tough nuggets and that "they would just take a few bucks off next time". I replied by saying I would just call my credit card company and challenge the charge. After going back and forth a few times the owner/manager begrudgingly said he would send another pizza. I was very excited to get to eat at Anthony's XIV Pizza in Marshall, Virginia as that is where my cousin works - proving that a love for pizza runs in my family's blood. They have some dine-in area but mostly serve carry-out and delivery, and, if you get it delivered, you may be lucky enough to receive your pizza from my cousin. Anthony's has a very large menu that includes appetizers, wings, salads, gyros, pasta, calzones, stromboli, hoagies, subs, chicken entrées, desserts, and, most importantly, pizza. Just the pizza portion of their menu is very expansive as they offer their regular pizza, Sicilian pizza, gourment pizza that includes garlic, olive oil, and ricotta as well as special topping options, and pizza specialties, one of which being Anthony's double layer pizza. Anthony's double layer pizza consists of any pizza topped with a double layer of their freshly made dough seasoned with garlic butter and Italian herbs. I really liked the seasonings on the double layer pizza, but I may prefer their regular pizza as you can better taste the toppings on it since there is less dough. My favorite part about my greasy pepperoni and bacon pizza was the thick pieces of bacon that came on it. I also tried their cheese breadsticks as an appetizer, and they were pretty good. My only complaint would be that the edge pieces lacked cheese, but the middle pieces had plenty and were very tasty. I think Anthony's XIV Pizza is a good spot for pizza in Marshall as there aren't a lot of other options in this small town, and they do say that "nobody doughs it better." read more

Food sucks and they rip you off for what you actually get. There's a reason you have to pay first then get your food. Sub barely had meat while seeing other subs that were loaded. I tried ordering double meat next visit and still had less than the others that didn't order extra meat. If typing want to get ripped off, this is the place for you.. I have been here twice now. The first time we got the combo deal with two slices. We were able to order whatever we wanted one each slice. We also got the garlic bread, which was awesomely doused in butter with loads of fresh garlic. On the next visit we went with the Sicilian pizza, which was yummy and totally filling. One slice of this will fill you up. We got the garlic bread again and it didn't have the same yummy loads of garlic but still good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great pizza! We had them deliver at the Barrel oak Winery per the winery's suggestion! What a wonderful idea! How's it feel to have your wine outside with a piping hot fresh pizza? Freaking amazing! And yes! It was still piping hot when we got it! The delivery person found us and got us the pizza quick! It was awesome! Their pizza bread is pretty good, fluffy and soft, no sign of any staleness. I still prefer thin crust and didn't see that option but this crust was still good. 5/5 will order again to pair with my wine and outdoor experience. read more

Order could not have been any worse. The order was completely incorrect, and when we called to complain the manager did not fixed the situation. They acknowledged that the restaurant made a mistake but still required us to bring back the pizza. We were told we would have to bring back our order, and were also told we had to give the old pizzas back. Due to our own food safety protocol concerns it was concerning that they would use this pizza for another customer. In our families recommendation, it would be in your best interest to avoid eating pizza here. read more

I am addicted to their Cheesesteak and Fries. Every time I go back I promise myself I'll try something else, but never do. The fries are always perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispy. The pizzas are pretty good here. So far as things that deliver in Marshall, I think Anthony's has the market covered. The ingredients are pretty fresh and these guys have consistently pumped out a product that my friends and I have wasted little time devouring. On this trip, I actually made it inside of Anthony's Pizza and realized how close it actually is to the house.. and they serve something other than pizza!! So now, on my next trip out to Marshall I will be sure to expand upon my menu knowledge so that I can make a suggestion to people that isn't either "get the Hawaiian" or "sausage and pepperoni." read more

I moved to Marshall 2 years ago from Pennsylvania, leaving my favorite pizza place there. I noticed after a few weeks of driving by the place, there were always 2 or 3 cop cars parked there. Generally the food is good or they get it free or heavy discount. After staking out the place, I decided to see which it was. I arrived about 5 minutes before the cops and went inside and ordered a slice of pizza. Sure enough, 3 cruisers parked out front and came inside and ordered. They paid full price like I did. I like to try different things off the menu but got hooked instantly on the #4. That is a cheese steak with everything on a amaroso roll, with golden brown fries and bottomless drink for $9.45 including tax. They get amaroso roll deliveries from Philadelphia 3 times a week. Best toasted roll in the country! Generally I have my #4 twice a week eating in, and on Tuesdays I get the 2 large pizzas to go for $12 bucks. I can honestly say, every meal I ever got there was superb! The pizza is as close to back home I can find. The staff has never been rude, in fact just the opposite. Sometimes you get back what you put in. This is a 10 star pizza shop in my opinion, and I sure hope they stay in business for many years to come. read more

I love this place! The ham and cheese calzone has stolen my heart. I've seen other people's food while waiting for take-out, and it looks delicious with generous portions. However, I'm a creature of habbit, and I haven't been able to try anything else. Delivery has always been fast, around 30 minutes, and the restaurant has been clean when going in.
