I live on the South Shore, but I drive up to Somerville just to see CJ! CJ is perceptive to both the client's desires and also what will look good for each person. He clearly communicates what he plans to do, and he will pause to confirm your approval before continuing if it's a new look for you. This is THE most important quality in a barber, because I might have an idea for my haircut/beard trim in my mind, but the barber may see it differently. And now, since I completely trust CJ's judgement, I could walk in and say "Do whatever you want" and I wouldn't worry at all. It was CJ's judgement that led to my current beard style, and looking back it was obviously the right choice.
