TREATED ME LIKE A CRIMINAL! I go into this store probably every other week for random needs around the house. Today I went in and was looking for some things and noticed an employee following me around the store. I stopped and looked back at him waiting for him to say something but he just looked away. I continued shopping and went home. I had to go back later on and as soon as I walked in the same thing happened. I rode a bike so I need to carry a backpack, they asked me to remove it and while it made sense I was shocked because of how much I go in there. After this the employee continued to follow me AFTER I removed my backpack. I will not be returning to this store that treats common customers like CRIMINALS. read more

Terrible return policy here. I only shop at Home Depot now. I purchased a roll of irrigation tubing and cut an inch off. It was the wrong size. I brought the roll (still in strapping) back the same day, with the receipt. They refused to take the item back! read more

I live in Anthem and I needed a new disposal. I like to support my local Anthem business so I decided to go to Ace instead of Home Depot. Bought a Ace garbage disposal and had it installed. The disposal broke two months later. My repairman said he thinks there is a 2 year In Home warranty and they will come to the home and I would not need him. Called the store and talked to the female store manager. I wanted the owner but they said he was unavailable. She said there is no In Home warranty and labor of removal/installing is on me. I later found my original box which clearly shows it had a In-Home warranty. Paid my repairman to remove the disposal, brought it in, and confronted the same store manager. I made her read the box about the warranty and she danced around agreeing that my labor should be covered and I should not have needed a repairman. I gave up discussing this with her and said just replace the unit. They were out of the unit and only had another unit which was $10.00 more. I said lets call this even and just give me the other in exchange to cover my labor and inconvenience. She needed to call the owner to get an OK to do this. She came back saying she can't do this. Obviously, the owner and store manager never went to customer service school. I paid the additional cost and took the new unit. They have lost a future customer and I will inform all my contacts in Anthem, if they ask me where to go, to avoid going to the Ace in Anthem. read more

Bad customer service rude and nasty. I would rather drive to home Depot. I was told i could return an item if i didn't use it and i had the receit and it was in the original packaging. When i didn't use the product and it was in its original packaging they would not take it back. The sales person that sold it to me lied straight to my face. If they continue like this iam sure they will be out of buisness soon again. Home depot has much better pricing and better customer service. read more

It's a bummer to say that I will only return one last time. I have always been about supporting the local business and was excited to see ace come back to Anthem. I realize that the prices are a bit higher but that's a small business, and I have always been willing to pay a bit extra. A bit extra is completely out of the question from here on out. The customer service by two people have completely ruined it for me. First off you do not grab a Sun Devil key chain from a three year olds hand and tell him to never touch another thing in the store. I have always aloud him to pick up a key chain and we have always put it back before leaving. Second, if I approach you ten minutes later and politely ask you to never touch my son again, you shouldn't start saying your gonna kick my ass. Next is I had purchased a ten dollar square with a slide adjustment on it. I removed it out of the package and put it on the peg board. Two days later I went to use it and the slide would not lock into place so it was useless. I had the the proof of purchase so I thought I would take it back, WRONG! The manager told me they do not take tools back. I had the excact same one in my hand for an exchange and she said nope. She did mention that if I had the original packaging she may be able to exchange it. So I went home dug through the trash, mind you it's been a couple of days, and I will return ONE last time, to get my ten bucks back. Very poor customer service. I will drive the extra ONE mile to Home Depot, pay less, and receive way better customer service. And my three year old will play with what he wants, and yes I always make him return the item to its proper place. We aren't raising him in a barn. read more
