Previously known as the Anthem Outlets, the Outlets North Phoenix is a fun outing for anyone looking to shop a nice set of outlet stores on the outside of the Greater Phoenix area. There are plenty of stores along with a food court. There are some name brand stores and some stores not tied to name brands. There are deals regularly, especially around times like Black Friday and before and after any holiday. My wife really enjoys visiting the Outlets North Phoenix, and we'll plan in advance to spend a chunk of a day in the area visiting stores. I sometimes go in with her, and I sometimes take a book and read it outside while waiting for her. There are more than twenty shops at the Outlets North Phoenix. My wife's favorite is the Ann Taylor Factory Store. We also recently visited Under Armour and Rack Room Shoes. There is also a Coach Outlet, Gap Factory, Michael Kors Outlet, and so much more. The Outlets North Phoenix also has its own Cafes at Anthem Food Court, which includes Ruby's Express, Auntie Anne's, Charley's, Famous Wok, Fresca's Mexican Grill, Auto Boba, Pupetto's Gelato, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. There are other restaurants a short drive from the Outlets if more sit-down restaurants are desired. There are plenty of sales, discounts, and deals. Each day, different sales are listed on their website at https://www.northphoenixoutlets.com/sales. There are also military, senior, teacher, and student discounts (all published on their website). Be prepared to share IDs accordingly when taking advantage of the discounts. The teacher and student discounts range from 10 to 25% off depending on the store or restaurant. We had an OK day at the mall today. It was nice and empty, almost like a ghost town. I'm guessing this is because of the heat of summer and that the snowbirds are out of town, but I'm not sure. There are a lot of empty shops and shutdown shops throughout this outdoor mall. There's a full cafeteria with several different options from Chinese to Italian to Philly cheesesteaks. There's lots of seating and comfortable couches in the cafeteria area and there's also a TV playing the Disney Channel for kids. The bathrooms here are very nice. There is a nursing and mother area and lots of completely private stalls with a purse hook and a storage area in each stall. There are attached foldable stepstools for kids at some of the sinks. Despite there not being many choices for stores and shopping, the stores that we did go to we really enjoyed. We visited Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap, Calvin Klein, a little gift and crystal shop with a lot of retro and antique toys, and Levi's. We found really great deals at Calvin Klein and Gap and will definitely be back for more of that. We love the iconic Calvin Klein bras and underwear at 70% off. I got my son two pair of Levi's jeans at $50 each. Plenty of parking in a private lot sandwich between the 17 and the outlet mall. read more

I had an unpleasant experience trying to buy a box of cards from the vending machine in the food court, the one all the way to the right. I tried to get a card box and got one pack instead. The picture on the screen showed the box art for the exact box I was trying to buy. The customer service from the owner for that machine was extremely inappropriate when I said I would like a refund and still have the pack unopened. They sent the refund saying "reason for return: customer confused - stolen pack". They ignored my telling them I didn't open it. They tried to claim I intentionally bought the wrong item so I could get free cards. I wanted the box, I did not want one pack of cards. They told me the box was held for another person, it was never available, which I clearly had no way of knowing. There was no notice of any held items on the machine, the box was just sitting in the machine. The owner even admitted that they used box art to advertise packs, then they said they never admitted anything. Using the wrong photos and leaving items in a machine that no one can buy isn't any fault of a customer. Pet stores refuse to hold pets for people for exactly this reason, it confuses customers. The owner of the machine was unprofessional to say the least. *Update: Just to confirm, I visited this mall again after this incident to charge my car, and the card box was still in the machine, unsold. I cannot recommend using that machine. Two stars for the good pretzels, Kimes Ranch, and the Blink charging spots in the parking lot. *Update: There is also a nice store before the food court that sells collectibles, found some cool stuff there. If it weren't for those it's a one-star experience. Not the mall's fault at all, but it's kind of boring after you see every shop once. There's just not a lot to do. read more

We stopped at the Outlets at Anthem and we're surprised that most shops were completely closed. It was actually really sad to see the mall this way. We were walking past shop after shop that was closed and windows blocked. We went into one shop that was open and we were not even acknowledged. No hello or anything. A few teen workers hanging with their friends. We only stayed about half an hour as there is nothing here. read more

Was better years ago, but still has a few stores worth making the trip to Anthem. The food court is a guilty pleasure!

1 star santa experience at best. everyone in line had made reservations but no one was there to take names or organize how people went in. they were running close to an hour behind. when we entered the cottage to take photos all of the workers were arguing with each other about when their break would be. santa didn't greet the children or even talk to them at all. will not be doing this experience again read more

Been here just 2nd time but this time properly for multiple shopping. Spent 3 hours almost shopping with wife and walked from one end to another. I must say this outlet is well planned. Lost of break areas, seating places , Kids playing area, open air train and restrooms are cleaned and well maintained. There are enormous outlets too , however there are some major ones missing. Would love to see mid-range shops like H&M / Forever here. Multiple places to eat along with a food court. Compared to other outlets like Tanger , this one steals the show. There were some great deals ongoing too. And also there was a lunar festival giveaways during out visits this time. Recommended place to shop. read more

It's the same feeling you get when you go to any big mall on the decline. It appears about 70% vacant. Retailers are moving out with no sign of being replaced. Some things just need to be put out of their misery. No complaints about the retailers still here. Overall as an Outlet Mall though... What was once popular and thriving has become depressing. read more

Just like every other outlet center I've ever been to in CA, NV and FL. It's not like I expected anything different or unique because once you've been to one, you've been to all. I did like that most of the stores were pretty empty, except for the usual busy ones (Nike & Vans). I enjoy going to Anthem outlets for specific stores. The Nike outlet always has great stuff and we usually stop by the Vans store and BBW for me. :) The area is clean but just wish there were more stores which would justify driving out here more often. Either way I know we will make a stop in the future to check out what deals they have! read more

I haven't been to the Anthem Outlets in over 10 years! It was a treatvto stop by with the girls. I like how they have a bit of a variety of food options. I had to stop and visit the Ann Taylor Outlet. Our local outlet mall does not have one and they no longer have an online Ann Taylor Outlet. Parking wasn't bad early morning during the weekday. A few stores are still trucking out here. Not everything is open but enough to check it out. They do have a nice food court area where you can take a load off and relax from shopping. Tables are available outside or inside. I loved the inside layout. As I didnt eat but there were a variety of chains to maybe entise you. read more

The Santa station at the outlets is effective at getting everybody through the line. The Santa has no enthusiasm. I understand the job is taxing but you chose it. They also don't send you the photos. They promised 15 minutes and it's been over a day. I've sent multiple tickets to their customer service with no response. read more

I hope this place can figure out how to survive in today's climate of online shopping. I took a trip to this mall twice in 2018. Once in the summer and once just before Christmas. During the six months between trips a number of stores have closed and I saw no evidence of any new stores. By Christmas I felt like I was in a dying mall. Yes, the tall Christmas tree is quite noticeable but there are very few people actually enjoying it. I think that Santa was very lonely while I was there. I didn't see anyone visit him on the numerous times I walked by. There are some great stores here and some actually have some real bargains. Most notably, the Banana Republic outlet store had some fantastic buys just in time for Christmas. This mall might survive but in today's shopping environment, the experience is what matters and the experience here is unfortunately lacking. read more

It's a ghost town. Empty parking lots and more vacant spaces than there are open stores. How they can keep the lights on I have no idea.

I can't really go into detail yet about what great deals I found (in case I have family trolling... I'll update after Xmas), but it was definitely worth our drive. It wasn't my first time here though. When my family visits, I bring them here. There's something for everyone: the women, men, teens, and "youngins." Under Armour, Nike, and the Ralph Lauren store are amongst their favorites. Great deals were available this weekend, and there was a nice selection in all of the stores that we visited. We were able to check a few gifts off of our list. It's an open-air mall, like many in and around the Phoenix area. I like that although there are a decent amount of stores, it's an easily walkable circumference. It was decked out for the Christmas holiday, with a humongous Xmas tree and a large sleigh, in which you could sit for a free photo op. (SELFIE!) They also had the normal Santa photo ops available for a fee. Not a fan of their food court though. There were only a handful of options: Subway, Mexican, Asian, Italian (Pizza, pasta), BBQ, and Auntie Anne's. I ended up taking my belly elsewhere for fulfillment. Has some name brand stores. Not that many but some. The food court does not have a lot of variety to choose from. Black Friday is packed here for their deals. I love coming around Christmas here to see the Christmas tree. They have a tree light ceremony with music and everything. It's awesome. read more

It's kind of a dead mall but I like the Columbia store for casual shirts for my husband and their hiking boots are nice for men and women. It all depends on what they have stocked so if it's a long drive, like for us, maybe call first to ask about items you're interested in shopping for. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars just for the spacious amount of parking and for Carters. 6 years ago me and my family use to come here about once a month and it would take about 15 minutes to find parking. There were tons of stores and we would spend an entire afternoon there. Fast forward to present times. Ton's of parking that it only takes me a minute to park. Unfortunately, there are more empty spaces then stores. All the stores I use to like are now gone. There is literally just one part of the mall where there are just empty spaces. The last time I saw this mall really busy was during the Unicorn Festival and Hurt's Donuts coming up. They did open a couple of luxury stores but who knows how long they will last. The management company for this outlet needs to add some sit-down restaurants and more outlet like stores as a lot of these stores aren't really outlet prices. The food court is nothing special. None of the food selection, in my opinion, are very good besides Charley's. With all the empty space there, they could honestly attract a lot of entertainment venues. I wouldn't be surprised if this mall is completely dead in 10 years. read more

Overall outlet malls drive me nuts. This one is really close to home and very convenient. I wish it was full of more stores but it is not. However the big guys are all there. North face has great sales and is great for frequent stop by so that you can see what's new. Weirdly they have an amazing food court and bunch of restaurants. They also do a really great job at Christmas and they have a splash pad in the summer. It's a great stop by for sure. Major stores like Columbia, coach, Bath and Bodyworks and Moore have excellent pricing and some of their outlet style items that are only available at these type of stores. read more

This is relatively small outlet mall with not very many high end retail chains. Their best (anchor) stores are banana republic, gap, Columbia, coach, Michael Kors, and Nike. They recently opened a new store, North Face which seems popular. There are still many vacant stores which is sad when you're shopping. Also it's outdoor mall and walking around kinda gets tricky because there will be long sections of just wall to get around to the other side. It's a pain in the summer, so I usually get back in the car to get around the mall. They also have covered parking with ample spaces. It's never packed here, so can get your shopping done quickly. read more

This place is dying a slow death....tons of empty stores litter this outdoor mall and the few surviving stores are empty. We drove up here on a Saturday and it should've been packed. I think the outlets in Chandler and Glendale have choked this one to death. I've spoke to several people who manage stores out here and they said they're not going to renew when their lease is up because they're hemorrhaging money. That's too bad. Not the best design or best outlet center available, but there are still about 30 stores open. On the day we arrived, it must have been too hot because the power in every store kept flicking on and off. This caused delays in restarting the system and led to a frustrated crowd. I was about to swipe at one store when the power went out for good and sent the whole place heading to the exits about three hours before official closing time. When I lived in Anthem for nearly ten years this was our closest outdoor "mall" and we loved it. It's beautiful, it has a cute play area for the kids, a splash park,a rain ride, food court with the typical food court restaurants (pizza, chinese, Subway, pretzels, etc). The restrooms should deserve their own review! A family restroom is always a must and honestly these restrooms match the Nordstrom's ladies room! During Christmas they have the largest decorated tree up (in the state I think) and Santa for the kids. Lots of stores like Gymboree, Carter's, Osh Kosh, perfect for a growing new family to shop at. Le Crueset has a store here and I've purchases a few nice items here. I have a set and I love it so I always popped in to see what else they had. Lots of stores have come and gone. Some of the newer stores (less than 5 yrs) include the Gap, Banana Republic, BCBG, Calvin Klein. A nice Arizona souvenir shop is here they sell jewelry leather goods, typical Az stuff (moccasins, boots, cowboy stuff). I think its a nice mall for the area and for tourists that are driving thru the interstate coming in or out of town. The Ralph Lauren store was my favorite stop, they have cute kids clothes there too. Always a stop when we are in town. read more

Several years ago as we were driving along Hwy 17 in Arizona, I saw billboards for the Outlet Mall in Anthem. It claimed that they have the Worlds cleanest restrooms! Well, at the time...I would have to say they may have been right. They were very very clean back then. Recently, we returned. No more billboards advertising that they have the World's Cleanest Restrooms. Of course, my first stop was their restrooms. Surprisingly, they still looked pretty darn clean! Good job folks. As for the rest of the Outlet Mall, us plus the rest of the family was pretty happy. Good selection of stores here. Almost everyone bought something from somewhere here. I think that I was the only one who did not find anything I wanted for myself. Deals were not good enough. Their food court could use more options. Pig N' Whistle looked interesting. Unfortunately, they were sold out of just about everything that evening we were there. The Christmas Tree that they had on display was very impressive. It was certified as the Tallest Christmas Tree in the Nation! Very cool! Will continue to return to this Outlet whenever we are in this part of Arizona. read more

Good enough to justify driving way out to Dullsville, AZ to find some great deals. I hate shopping, but O@A has me dropping not-so-big $ toward entire new wardrobes. They've got racks on racks at Rack Room Shoes, where all the BOGO 1/2 off deals on brands like Timberland and Kenneth Cole take men's footwear excitement to new heights. That is, if you don't get distracted chuckling at all the old guys who think Crocs are cool. I went to Van Heusen to dress it up, where there were some insane deals perfect for me. Stylish jackets to fit this lanky 6'4" gentleman for only $70. Unreal! Clearance on slacks, ties, and shirts so inexpensive I don't want to shop anywhere else for my business professional needs. After that, I got sporty at the Nike store. all the gear you could ask for at reduced prices, and I can't spend too much time there without starting a sneaker collection. The selections were awesome! Keep in mind not *every* store here will rock your socks off. The Vans store blows. The food court is not that good compared to other malls...well except maybe that BBQ place. Hey--a man's gotta refuel in between mass shopping. Overall, this is THE outlet in the valley. If you thought Tanger was cool, step your game up and make the trip to Anthem. read more

Back when I first moved to Arizona, I lived in Anthem for some time, and hung out here on occasion. I absolutely loved it here, but the newness has since worn off. To thier benefit, theres tons of stores here. Ralph Lauren, Bath and Body works, Bose, etc. Great selection of stores! But, as a regular, it doesn't blow my hair back like it once did. I love taking my mom here, since she seems to enjoy herself at the outlets when I actually lived in Anthem. But, now that I live in the SE Valley, I dont see the point in doing the treck up there. Headed here for their semi-annual "side-walk sale" that they advertised online over the long weekend. Have to say that we were pretty disappointed in what they had to offer here. Most of the storefronts were empty, and only a handful of the shops that were there seemed to be participating in the side-walk sale. A few of the shops had some decent deals - Banana Republic, Gap, Nike - which were the only saving graces of heading out here. Ended up only getting one shirt and we only spent about 30 minutes total going through everything this place had to offer, which was way shorter than the drive to and from this place. Overall: B- Not much open, some decent deals that you can probably get from other, more populated, outlets in the area. Don't go out of your way to hit this place up. read more

This place does have the potential to be the place to shop - Heading back from Sedona, we decided to stop by. I only stopped at Banana Repubic, Ann Taylor, and Coach. We went to Anthem outlets for the kids to visit Santa. Man, what a joke we made an appointment so we wouldn't have to wait in line. We get there and checked in and they told us to go stand in line. I told them we had an appointment so why do we have to wait and what's the point of making an appointment? They told me they really didn't know and we just had to wait in line. We did for the kids but when we got to the door and it was our turn the kids went in were shuffled over to Santa who was so GRUMPY, no "Hello", no Ho-Ho-Ho, didn't ask them what they wanted for Christmas as a matter of fact Santa didn't even open his mouth no interaction with the kids. The elfs shoved the girls towards santa said "stand there" and FLASH, FLASH,FLASH went the camera and we were shuffled off out the door! What a TERRIBLE Santa.... this Santa should retire!!!! I will make the trek up to Anthem to go to these outlets instead of going to the ones near Westgate. Why? Store selection for one. The only other Stride Rite outlet is at AZ Mills. And while that store is A LOT closer for us (like a 10 minute drive tops), I'd rather not deal with a crowd or messy store. All of the stores we've gone into at the OaA are well kept and clean. That and the drive up there makes it feel like we're taking a mini road trip. read more

Maybe I'm spoiled by our outlets back home in Vegas, but to be nice, the selection at this outlet was not good. I upped my star count for the ample amount of parking and how accessible it is to the freeway. But other than that, there's nothing much else to say. A lot of the spaces were vacant. There weren't many people walking around, even during Veteran's weekend when there are usually good sales. A few notable stores were Bath & Body Works, Levi's, Michael Kors, Nike, Vans and Carter's. Everything else was just blah. I literally walked around the outlet and was finished shopping in less than an hour. Even the stores I went into did not have an awesome selection of items. This was a once and done situation. read more

Nowadays we end up here on occasion when we are coming home from Sedona or Flagstaff, when there is a mandatory 'bio-break'. Their restrooms have always been in excellent shape. And they have family restrooms too. I visited a couple of stores yesterday and I was not very impressed with the sales, only the Children's Place seemed to have good deals and an extra 20% off for purchases or $40 or more, and it seems we got 25% off for $60 or more. This seems to be a very family friendly place, they have lots of stuff for kids to play, benches and chairs... plenty of parking as well. read more
