Anson Electric was very fast on replying back, David said he would come the next day (Sat) 12:30...He arrived early, David was courteous, professional and fast to access the damage that was Done! No power in the Upstairs Master Bath, I THOUGHT I'd checked everything, GFCI outlet, panel switch and breaker panel...NOPE was something that even the DYI "You Tuber" (that's me) could not have guessed..David and Anson Electric you guys saved the day! OH and I would have paid 3X what you charged to find and fix that problem! Anson Electric give David a raise he deserves it! Thanks Guys! read more

Great service from Anson Electric and timely response too! Electrician was able to fit us into their schedule the same week that a request was submitted. Nice work for installing LED ceiling lights & ceiling fan. read more

Very professional from the owner to the technician/ electrician that they send. Highly recommended. The owner contacted me right away and give me a quote lower than everyone else that message me. The company accepts military discount and that's a plus. Thank you very much again! read more

Dave and his associate, Alonzo, did amazing work at my house. Dave came out for a quote right away and his prices were extremely reasonable. All my lighting projects looked great and Alonzo went the extra mile (truly above and beyond) to make sure everything was exactly the way I imagined. I would highly recommend using them for any of your electric needs and I will be using them for all my future lighting projects. Once I have my drywall team here (recommended to me by Dave) I'll update with pics. read more

This review is long overdue. The fact that they helped us out months ago, but I'm still insisting on writing this should speak volumes. He is and will always be our go to electrician as long as we live in here. Not only have we NEVER felt swindled or taken advantage of, the work has exceeded our expectations and been long lasting. Each time we've had an issue with outlets, light fixtures, etc I always sent quote requests to 15+ electricians to make sure we were getting the best rate. Not only did he give us the lowest quote, he often lowered it after the job was complete instead of "accidentally finding 30 other things that need to be fixed" and charging hundreds more like every other electrician we've used in the past. I can't thank you enough for putting my mind at ease when things in our house go wrong. (As all homeowners know- it's always stressful when things break down!) My ONLY suggestion is to get cash in advance to tip him!!! He refused to accept tip and when I asked if I could Venmo him personally he literally ran out of our building lol!!! Just the sweetest guy ever. Don't bother looking anywhere else. read more

We've been renting for the last 7 years and never really had problems other than the occasional maintenance upkeep by landlords and management. But now, as a first time home buyers, the universe is laughing because everything is kind of going wrong. Lights blowing out, refrigerators needing repairs, dryers making loud noises... Thankfully we have yelp and we're able to find people like Dave to help us commoners with things like electricity. Dave was quick to send a quote, set up a time to come which was convenient for us and did the job quickly. The quote ended up being more than the job was worth and he was honest about it and charged us less than the quote. The business card he handed me says "Trustworthy. Quality. Dependability." and I can 100% attest to that. We liked him so much we had him look at other lighting things we need done and he was knowledgeable about it all. I look forward to getting our chandelier up and updating all our other lights to LEDs. Thanks again Dave! read more

Great experience with Anson Electric! David was very responsive in answering questions and quotes while Amanda was very helpful in arranging the earliest appointment. The tech Joe was very professional and patient. He went over different options with me, addressed my concern and did an awesome job with the installation. Highly recommended!!! read more

Can't say enough good things about David and his coworkers. I had electrical issues in my bathroom and a bathroom vent blew from it. They were responsive and showed up on time. The price quoted is what they stuck to. The job was done well and they cleaned up. I will recommend and use them again. read more

They were very responsive. My main kitchen wall to all my pliances just quietly died one night. They came out and figured out the first time. No hassle or run around; Great price too. I'm very happy:) read more

I can't say enough good things about Anson Electric, and their awesome employees. They recently installed 2 dedicated circuits from the power distribution box to a bedroom, and 4 ceiling lights and wiring in my garage, and consolidated wiring and circuit breakers from a sub panel into the main panel. They removed the old no longer needed sub panel, repaired and stuccoed the gaping hole left by its removal. The job was completed in a very timely manner, at a way more reasonable cost than what I had feared. All employees that I dealt were very friendly, helpful, and were totally awesome, as was the quality of their work. I highly recommend Anso for your electrical repairs. read more

I want to lead off with that though I didn't complete my project with David, it was thru no fault of his, just timing. Long story short, our electric panel had been shorting leading to arcing, causing our lights, appliances, and HVAC to malfunction. We effectively had to shut off all power to our home for 2-3 days, out of fear of fire and/or damage. Being that I have two small children at home, we were under a tremendous amount of anxiety and duress trying to figure out a fix, city permits, landing on a contractor, panel capacity, potential damage to the home, etc. David took the time to address questions, process and tried to line up an appointment with us to resolve our issues. He gave feedback and helped walk me down the process which can be confusing and daunting. He provided clarity in the technical aspects of the needs as well as rounding back with me to confirm my issues were addressed. Being in healthcare, I know how important having someone listen and explain processes means. Though he knew I chose another contractor (d/t timing), he stayed in communication and provided a competitive bid. I would not hesitate to look to Anson for future needs. read more

Daniel is extremely nice and very helpful. He is knowledgeable, has great troubleshooting skills, and worked very hard.

I can't thank Anson electric for all their help with my home and my mothers home. I call and they are always so accommodating. Recently Jose went to try and fix my moms old (40+year) light fixture and couldn't fix it then, but Amanda called and was scheduling an appointment for him to come out again to finish the project! Definitely would recommend their services! :) read more

I cannot speak highly enough about the work David, the owner, and his employee Matt - who installed our fan - did installing a ceiling fan on our vaulted ceiling. David was incredibly responsive and came out initially to see if the work could be done, given the vaulted ceiling. He was prompt and explained everything in laymen's terms. He and Matt, his employee, came together on a Saturday morning and he made sure I was alright with just Matt installing the fan, which I thought was really great customer service. Matt was great. He was friendly and explained everything he was doing, even installing the fan's remote and making sure it worked before leaving. The whole process took less than two hours. Bonus: They give a military discount. I would HIGHLY recommend Anson Electric for any electrical needs! read more

Thanks to Anson Electric for doing such a professional job in a timely manner at a very reasonable price.

Very quick turnaround. The representative came on time and finish the job in less than the allotted amount of time.

They had a cancellation and called me to fill it! I had a 240v outlet installed for my plug in car charger. Took about an hour or so. Stuck to the quote ($415) even though they hadn't seen the job site. read more

I needed a 50A 240V outlet in my garage for a new electric vehicle. I used the yelp bid function to get bids from several companies. Anson answered very quickly with a fair price. Anson Electric - Nice work installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage. - Electricians Near Me - La Mesa, California

Tried to get responses from some highly-recommended electrical service companies. None responded. Then tried using Yelp and got no responses from the electricians I was trying to contact. However, David at Anson (whom I was not specifically contacting) quickly responded, and I was able to get a quote and schedule (via Theresa at Anson) for a day that worked for me. Jose was the electrician who came out, did a great job, and kept things clean to boot. I needed electrical run to a ceiling for a new fan. Jose made efficient work of the small project and installed our new fan etc. We are happy campers at this house. Anson Electric will be our go-to going forward. read more

Thank You Anson Electric! Quick response time for a quote and very professional work!

Pro: Alonso and his apprentice were efficient on fixing my exhaust fan. They diagnosed the wire connection problem and connected the correct wires under 20 minutes. Con: The crew arrived 15 minutes late than scheduled. The price was slightly over the quoted but within the reasonable range. Also, I would recommend putting on shoes cover during work. read more

Incredible electricians! Clean, respectful, and very efficient! My ceilings are 22.5 ft and the chandelier I had them install was very heavy and extremely intricate. They handled the project beautifully and I'm extremely happy with how it turned out! 10/10 would recommend and plan on calling them for all my electrical needs! read more

I couldn't have imagined anyone else doing the job better and with the same level of kindness and professionalism. Even better, Dave gave a very competitive offer that beat out the other 8ish offers I received. I highly recommend giving them a call and I will use them for any future projects. They installed ceiling fans in both bedrooms with wiring, and since we didn't have an attic opening they did a very good job not being intrusive in the drywall damage, which they had repaired very well. We are very pleased with the work done! read more

I'd been wanting to write this review since March of this year. Let me start by saying that David is great at what he does. He's an great electrician!! He's Nice, easy going, and patient! So back in March I was trying to sell my townhome, I got a buyer and during the inspection the buyer found two outlets nothing working. They asked us to fix it which I thought was reasonable. I hired couple of electricians and none of them were able to fix the problem. Then I looked at yelp review and saw Anson Electric. I read all the reviews and decided to give them a call. I made a appointment and David showed up on time. It did not take him long at all to trouble shoot the problem! David will always be our electrician for forever! Thank you David!! read more

Quick response on here, and I sent the request pretty late. Super simple, they called and scheduled fast. But the best part was James! He showed up on time, answered all of my questions, was so nice and informative! I'll have more work done in the future and will definitely request James! Thanks again!! read more

David was on-time for the appointment, and was able to fit me in on a short notice. Very professional and informative. He took his time and made sure the job was done right. His price that he provided me was accurate. After the job was done he cleaned up and was on his way. I will definitely be using him again for my future electrical projects around the house. read more

Anson Electric - Electricians Near Me - La Mesa, California

Quick and great price. Will recommend ! David is tolled a Tesla nema plug and the rates were very reasonable than other places. Thanks

Very happy with the service from Anson Electric. I requested for a quote on a Sunday and got a response within a day. Teresa was helpful in scheduling. Two technicians came to install my chandelier the next day. They were nice, professional, and careful in handling my chandelier. They took time to adjust the chandelier to the right height. I will have them install EV charger in a couple weeks and definitely would go to them for any electrical service in the future. read more

We had 2 ceiling fans installed. One indoor and one outdoor. Both were done with exceptional professionalism and speed. The worker (can't remember his name) verified the side of the fan blade that I preferred to be visible, verified where I wanted the remote controls placed for said fans, and verified placement of both fans. Thank you for the affordable cost and friendly demeanor. read more

Dave came over to quote a complete electric upgrade for our historical home. He went over everything in detail and modified his quote after I added several changes and modifications. His electricians did a superb job despite several challenges to include minimally intrusive plaster wall cuts to accommodate old 1920's wiring. They also installed several recessed lighting canisters and ensured that I was completely happy with the end product. Upon completion, Dave came over personally to address a few items that I wanted corrected and they even helped me to install some antique wall sconces that were never included in the original quote! Very fair prices and excellent work overall! Thanks to Anson Electric! read more

Though I gave him 5 stars at first, I now have to change...I have contacted him since to do other work and got no response, changed back to 5 because it seems there was a text malfunction read more

I would encourage you to stop searching and contact David for your electrical needs. Of all the electricians I spoke with, I'm really happy I chose Anson. I'm doing a pretty in‐depth remodel and I've had them out for a few things now. (Installing recessed lighting, installing/re-locating switches and outlets, install ceiling fan switches and wiring, and to install a new electrical panel). They're fast, efficient, take time to answer all my questions -silly or not, and are completely reliable. This has, thus far, been the only contractor (overall) I've brought in that I can say that about. I've not had to have them come back to fix anything. It's also comforting that they have a price model for most jobs so you can get a straightforward estimate before they even show up. Remodeling my place myself and trying to manage the different contractors as I go has been trying. I've come home to some pretty upsetting things. Seriously, Anson Electric is the only part of it that has gone as planned. Professionalism and quality service is proving to be exceedingly rare these days. I'm thankful my electrical needs aren't the ones keeping me up at night. read more

Words can't express my sincere appreciation for David Dawson of Anson Electric for taking the time to explain a quick fix! He didn't have to give of his time to explain how to fix my electrical problem but he did and I am extremely grateful. He is honest, trustworthy and simply a good person. Happy Holidays and thanks so much again. Regards, D.T. Harris read more
