Holes where bolts to hold our Hvac unit left empty after work by ANR.
Israel R.

We hired ANR Roofing to replace our main house roof. While their work was fast and price fair the overall experience deserves a failing grade. First, we are first time home owners and I'm of the belief that as people who are uneducated on home improvement projects, you hire a company to inform and educate you on the process, procedures and best way to approach the work being done. Any potential hazards or issues should be brought to light as the customer is not the expert and should understand what comes with the job. To say ANR failed is an understatement. After their job of replacing our roof, we discovered a mess in our attic of roofing debris. All our insulation was covered in a mess that was quite shocking. We had to hire attic cleaners and hvac duct cleaners whom required environmental test and whom said it should have been the responsibility of the roofers to warn us of such matters. All this cost is over $3k in additional work. Even if it is in the contract that such a risk exist, ANR as the experts should have taken the role in guiding/advising us. Second, it was discussed in our walkthrough that one of the rafters contained wood rot. This was not replaced Third, our HVAC unit which sits on our roof, was removed during the work and bolted poorly leaving nuts and bolts sitting in the attic. I did reach out to ANR and they never helped to address these matters. I believe speed is a aspect of their work and as a result overlooked some things and left a mess for us to take care. To their credit the roof has held up and we have no leaks but for the extra headache, worries, and expenses I sadly cannot recommend ANR

I searched on Yelp, needing to find the right company to do the upgrade without an unnecessary upsell. Carlos reached out to me right away and took the time to listen and explain the options. It turned out he showed me a much better way to upgrade our system and get a better value. I was able to pre-purchase the components from my prior solar company at great savings. Carlos' company provided the panels. Btw, Anca Solar's pricing was very reasonable and within my budget. I scheduled the service and the guys were great, even arriving early. They got the job done in one day and the system works great! The biggest plus is, Carlos responded to my emails very quickly, keeping the line of communication open. He consistently answered all my questions and left no doubt I was in good hands. I can't say enough great things about Carlos and Anca Solar. If you're reading this review and are looking for a solar company, look no further. Again, many thanks Carlos to you and your crew!

Carlos came out did some rewiring told us to have a CAT 5 cable ran to have a direct connect for our app and then he would come back to ensure everything was working properly. Before the CAT 5 was installed the inverter stopped working again. I called Carlos, he said to give him a call the following week because he had a big job out of town. No problem. I totally understand. I tried to reconnect with him several times. Sometimes he picks up sometimes he doesn't. Last time we spoke we picked a tentative appointment date for him to come out. When I called him to confirm he wouldn't return my call. This has gone on for over a month and a half. Disappointed and a waste of time to say the least especially because he had other great reviews. Awareness for other potential clients. ***In regards to your response below, all you had to do was let me know (text/phone call). Your response to my comment was the first time you have ever said you are not doing that type of work. Best of luck.

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

However,…read moreit's still about 4.8% below the minimum guaranteed production (accounting 0.25% maximum annual panel degradation). It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Our battery has stopped charging, inverter has an error and it stopped producing by about 50%. It's difficult to get a hold of anyone quickly but Tony reached back out a day later for an appt with a tech and fox rep 2 days away. The tech did not turn up. fox and myself couldn't get a hold of anyone for 2 hours while we are waiting for info on why they aren't here. Fox found installation mistakes and helped identify the issue even though they aren't supposed to touch the installation, 2 panels shorted out and I need first American to fix it. The tech made some excuses for not turning up, said they had turned up at a different time for some reason, although my cameras don't show anyone at that time either. It's now been a week and no one will provide me with a day or time for an appointment. They outsource the techs, they do not work for first American. Im left with a system that won't charge, producing 1/3 of the output and im left holding the bag with a company that won't provide support service, you pay the money and then you aren't a priority when it doesn't work. Zero priority even when they missed the appointment. Tony's been answering the phone so he's the only one I can put a good word in for but there's no service reliability from First American after the fact. I'll update this review with the eventual outcome.
