Found this place on yelp for breakfast one morning on our trip out to Ohio, and loved it so much we went a second time during our trip! We really enjoyed our food- the beignets were worth the hype, husband enjoyed spiked chocolate pancakes and later then the egg Biscuit sandwich. I love eggs Benedict and tried both the crab cake and later the smoked salmon. Delicious food, kind servers and yummy coffee made for some great mornings. Really enjoyed our time here. The only issue is the wait time. We joined the waitlist before we arrived and said approx 20-30 minute wait. Checked in when we got there and still waited over an hour for a table. Once we got seated our service was great we ordered drinks (highly recommend the spiked cold brew!). My breakfast was so good I'm still thinking about it so I had to post. The place wasn't busy so I was seated quickly and my was server was very friendly and attentive. It was my second visit after a long day at work. The first time I had the lemon ricotta and goat cheese pancakes which were good but I'm obsessed with the lobster and brie omelette and city grits. The greeters were friendly as was the young woman who seated us. There were six of us and we all got something different. The two people who ordered omelettes loved them. One was chorizo and he said it was a bit greasy. The more traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon & hash browns was just okay. The bacon wasn't crispy enough. The grits were given a thumbs up. They were generous with the breakfast potatoes but they were blah. I ordered the bagel & salmon Benedict but had them hold the egg & hollandaise. I am used to cold salmon on this classic but this was warm & okay. I liked that they were generous with the capers and onions. We got side orders of the carrot cake pancakes & of buttermilk. The carrot ones were delicious & we all loved them. The buttermilk pancakes were not light or fluffy. They were on their way to being flat hockey pucks. They wee disappointing. The hubs and I came to Another Broken Egg Cafe because the place we were going had a ridiculous wait time. Funnily, so did they but the line went faster. I appreciate Yelp having the option to be put on a wait list because that helped the wait time. It's a nice cafe. I will say there is a very large amount of open space that could be used to add extra tables. Our server was very nice (Alissa). She was from another location and was there helping out. I don't think she was even supposed to be our server but ours never came so just said she was going to help us anyway. The hubs had the Madi Gras omelette and I had The Supreme omelette . He added pancakes and I added French Toast. The omelettes weren't bad. The French toast was one slice and was just okay. He said his pancakes were just okay as well. It's breakfast food. Not a lot you can do with that. It's a bit pricey for breakfast but our service was good so that was a perk. I'm sure we will be back. I've been a manager in the restaurant industry many years (las vegas strip) and when a manager steps in you as an employee DO NOT step in and speak, you let the manager handle it. I also witnessed the hostesses speaking amongst each other after the interaction speaking i'll and very disrespectfully about this certain guest. The food here is great!!! Really good! The service sucks so bad I cannot explain!!! 5 employees comparing tats at the front desk, 3 at the server station chatting! I was going to take photos but I felt it would have been rude, and honestly this is not a major life event for me!!!! The food is surprisingly disgusting. First dish was inedibly salty (and I love salt). Server offered to remake but the kitchen told her the sauces are pre-prepared and could not be adjusted. So, I ordered an omelet that came to the table with a hole literally burned in it. They initially charged me for it. When I noted that it was disrespectful to serve a burned omelet the manager agreed and removed the charge. There was one person at the hostess stand and a line of people trying to check-in and a line of people to be sat because their table was ready. I don't understand why there would not be a line for people whose tables were ready and a line for people waiting to check-in. Very disorganized. Once we did get our table, our waitress was good. We got drinks quickly and placed our orders. The wait was about 35 minutes to get food. Too long in my opinion. By the time the food got to us, everything but the grits was cold. Omelettes were cold. Potatoes were cold. English muffin was cold. The taste was decent but with it being cold, it was disappointing. We told the waitress and she offered to remake them but we didn't want to spend another half hour waiting for food. The total bill was a bit high for being for two people (2 entrees and 2 alcoholic drinks was $60 before tip). Yeah it was pretty gross. Big and small flies everywhere. The hollandaise sauce was like custard. They actually put the meat on top of the Benedict instead of under the egg. So weird. BE PREPARED TO WAIT ON THE WEEKENDS!! We made a reservation for a table of two and it was an hour wait. The table was supposed to be ready at 10:54 we arrived at the restaurant 15 mins before the reservation time to check in and the host advised me that it would be 25 more minutes and they would text when the table is ready. They text an hour later at 11:50 saying the table was finally ready. Good thing we saw some friends going to their table and we just had them pull up two extra chairs. The food was good and the drinks were good as well. If it wasn't for the mishandling of the wait time would of given it 4 Stars. Ok, it might appear that I'm picky from my reviews. If wanting good food is picky, then I guess I am. I ordered the traditional breakfast. I asked whether to go sausage or bacon, the waitress said bacon. I ordered soft, scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes. While the potatoes were crispy, they weren't as crispy as my English muffin. It was crispier than this kid I new in high school. Burnt. The bacon was like bacon jerky. It was unlike anything I have experienced before. My wife had the same issues were her eggs and bacon. Her's came with the French toast. The French toast was ok. Oh, and the breakfast potatoes were deep fried. I know breakfast can be greasy, but deep fried food is no way to start a day! I had visited another broken egg Cafe for the first time in Raleigh North Carolina when I was there on vacation. It was so wonderful that I returned there the second day for breakfast which I never do on vacation go to the same place. I was so excited to find that there was one coming here and this is actually my second time visiting this locationand it's just not great at all. The first time I went when they first opened, crazy waiting times with the yelp waitlist and it was so confusing and they did not have it together which was understandable because they had just opened about 2 weeks prior. The food was not very flavorful at all and kind of a disappointment but I figured new restaurant needs time to get it together. The restaurant now has been opened long enough to figure out what it's going to do. As a matter of fact they had gotten their waiting system together a lot better and I'd use the Yelp app to check in and it worked perfectly. Both times we had good servers including today which was mother's Day. However the food was not good first we got water with our drinks and the water tasted horrible. Like the worst side of the pipes which it didn't taste that way the first day we came. I ordered the shrimp and grits which I had for the first time in Raleigh which were amazing but what I got today was not good. First of all it had so much of the sauce you couldn't see any of the grits you couldn't see any of the shrimp because they were buried in. And I don't know who cooked but they made it with so much cheese you could not even lift the spoon without massive strings from the quantity of cheese everywhere it was hard to taste anything else. The waitress brought me another side of plain grits to try to break it up which is on the picture the white streak but it did not help. I'm honestly mind blown at all the 4 and 5 star reviews. The food is very poor quality, premade, and extremely overpriced. 95% of the menu is just giant desserts - think pancakes stuffed with icing, cooked in flavored whipped cream, topped with cream cheese and Carmel drizzle. My breakfast came with potatoes - very clearly leftover and reheated in the microwave from the day before. The bathrooms are FILTHY - the walls and floor are clearly never cleaned as they have built up, uh, *gunk* accumulating. The waitstaff is very friendly and the coffee was pretty good. read more

my family and i had a beautiful experience at this location. we joined the waitlist before arriving, so is getting a seat was smooth and easy (which worked well because we had two kids with us). in addition, our server Carli did an amazing job of making suggestions, listening to our substitutions and being proactive about refills/additional things needed to make our experience seamless. the food was delicious but the highlight for our whole party was that strawberry pound cake french toast!!!!! so freaking good it was almost unbelievable that they put something like that on a plate lol! definitely going to make it a regular breakfast and brunch spot for the weekends!! read more

The place was empty around 830 on a Sunday but the service was so slow. My biggest concern was the "syrup." When I poured it on my pancakes it was completely watered down. My pancakes were then a sloppy watered down mess. The server did make it right by giving me a new order but this should have never happened in the first place. The bacon was salted and the eggs were burnt. This place has a big extensive menu but the food is just not good. read more
