Customer service, accommodating patrons, not being ***holes We had a party of 9 and were going to drink and spends lots of $ to celebrate a birthday. The staff couldn't seat us together, were putting us at 3 tables by each other with 3 separate servers, which was not a big deal. Staff wouldn't even let us put tables beside each other that were only 4 feet apart. The manager came out with an attitude and said we couldn't move tables and said "if we didn't like it you can leave." Totally inappropriate and will never go back. Probably best to stay clear of this place and go to First Watch or somewhere for a pleasant experience, which we did read more

We have eaten here several times. The food, cocktails and coffee are first rate. Today I had the Mardi Gras Omelet. I chose potatoes with mine. My husband had the grits. The eggs were very tasty. I say eggs, because it was scrambled eggs, with the everything mixed in the eggs. Not really an omelet at all. But still very tasty. Their potatoes are not worthy of the rest of the menu. They are merely cubed, frozen, and unseasoned. Having said that, this is still a highly recommended brunch spot. read more

We had eaten at the restaurant in Sarasota, Florida and were so surprised to see this location that we just had to try it. On a Thursday morning it wasn't crowded and we were able to sit outside. Our server, Ava, was pleasant and helpful. The menu definitely has unique items, which also makes them a bit pricier than I would normally spend for breakfast. I settled on the French toast filled with lemon curd. It came with 2 eggs and bacon, but I didn't want the eggs, and asked just for the bacon. Our food came quickly and presentation was very nice. I enjoyed the French toast, but would have actually liked more lemon curd. They state the bacon is oven baked and it is as crispy a bacon as I have ever had. I liked my breakfast, but probably wouldn't get it again. Our dining experience was nice, and service felt like it was before the pandemic. My gripe at the end was that because I didn't want the eggs with my order, they rang everything up ala carte and I ended up paying $2 more. I didn't want to make a fuss, but don't understand the logic there. I saved them 2 eggs and they charge me for that. Overall, nice place for breakfast, but $41 before tip, for 2 people is a little over the top for breakfast for me. read more

The wait was ridiculous. We joined the waiting list 25 minutes before we got there. When we arrived 25 mins. later, we were told that there were seven tables in front of us. We decided to sit at the bar. Our order was taken right away. After waiting over an hour for our food to arrive, we left, having never been served. The bartender told us, "Everyone is waiting", as if that was an excuse. Never again. read more

Our Mother's Day brunch at Another Broken Egg's Westlake location was a blend of culinary satisfaction and operational disappointment. While the food was above average--good, even--the overall experience was marred by poor communication, unprofessional attitudes, and a rushed conclusion that made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a celebratory afternoon. We were seated after a reasonable 20-minute wait, which was expected on a holiday. However, after another 30 minutes at our table with no updates, our server finally approached--not to check in or apologize--but to inform us that the table next to us had been waiting over an hour for their food, and ours hadn't even been started. This was the first mention of any delay, delivered offhandedly and without empathy or accountability. Shortly afterward, she brought over a complimentary order of fried beignets--perhaps as a peace offering--but it felt more like a reactive gesture than a sincere attempt to make amends for the long wait and growing dissatisfaction. Our server's demeanor further detracted from the experience. When my mother-in-law respectfully asked about the delay, the response was, "Well, you should know it's Mother's Day." The remark came off as dismissive and unnecessarily condescending. A little empathy--or even basic acknowledgment--would have gone a long way. Pause: Honestly, the waitress is lucky to still have all her teeth, given how fiery my mother-in-law can be and even more so when she's hangry and disrespected. End Pause: The only direct apology came from another waiter who overheard the exchange. He offered a brief comment in passing, but due to the loud and chaotic atmosphere, we couldn't make out what he said. The noise level made normal conversation difficult and only added to the discomfort of the afternoon. When the food finally arrived, it was quite good--but not without flaws. Most notably, my mother-in-law's order was incorrect: she had asked for eggs over easy but received scrambled instead. After such a long wait--and with the restaurant already closed 15 minutes prior--there was no realistic way to correct the mistake, which only added to the overall disappointment. There was one considerate moment during the meal: when my 4-year-old son slipped off the high-top seat and bumped his arm, our server promptly brought a bag of ice. We appreciated that act of attentiveness, though unfortunately, it wasn't enough to redeem the rest of the afternoon. In summary, while the food showed promise and the kitchen clearly has talent, the lack of communication, order errors, and dismissive service made the experience more stressful than enjoyable. This restaurant has potential, but until the front-of-house operations improve--especially during high-traffic times--it's hard to recommend without reservations. read more

Great food, excellent service. They have a great selection of dishes, unusual and very good! Nice diversity of offerings from the bar as well! This was our first time here, but it's our new favorite at Crocker Park! read more

This is a great place for breakfast or brunch especially if you love eggs. They are family friendly and have high chairs as well as a sling for car seats. The waffles are mostly all sweet. I did not see any savory ones on the menu. They do have sandwiches though as well. The sausages were not great in my opinion and were slightly burned. The orange juice was great and they have a wide variety of drinks. read more

Been here several times! I always ask for Christian bc the first time we went he was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The mimosas are bomb! Every-time we tried a different food item, it was always flavorful ! The only thing I don't like , is the weird random service charge that no one can explain what it is for. And no it's not for using your credit card when cashing out. read more

Breakfast food is hard to reinvent. This place does a great job of making an effort to try, but it falls a little flat. The potatoes and food came out cold and it's a little pricy for what you get. If you're going to go here, stick to the classics. Their andouille sausage was probably the high-point of the meal. read more

The food is excellent. Another Broken Egg is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. This location however, is extremely loud and due to it being located in Crocker Park it is very busy so there are commonly longer wait times. The bar stools and booths are comfortable but the chairs for the tables are very uncomfortable to sit back in. read more

Wasted my money here. I ordered the broken egg biscuit sandwich and I kid you not. There was barely any gravy on the thing. It was also missing the pickle. How does that even happen? We also ordered eggs Benedict. The Benedict was a pale white color and it tasted sour. The potatoes looked like they came straight out of a bag and had no seasoning at all. Apple fritter French toast came in. The smallest portion I've ever seen had barely any bourbon sauce and was just not good. We got free beignets for being a first-time guest which was nice but they tasted so bad that our table couldn't even finish four of them. Sadly there were visible cleaning supplies all over the place in such a large restaurant. I am unsure as to why they would be in view of customers. The service was just okay. It took my server about 30 minutes to finally crack. One little smile at me out of the side of her mouth. I cannot recommend this place. It is overpriced and the food quality is very poor. Service is lackluster. There's got to be better breakfast somewhere else. read more

Super cute interior nice and clean and loved the coffee mugs. Food was fantastic, we enjoyed every bite and we would come back. So this breakfast spot is right in Crocker park & is always definitely busy. The wait wasn't too bad and our server was very attentive so I wasn't too worried about the fact we had a lil wait. They have so many options for coffee liquor drinks, mimosas, margaritas, the options made me want to try more than one! I stuck with the spiked salted caramel cold brew & I absolutely loved it!! I had the shrimp & grits with city grits & I personally wasn't a huge fan of the city grits because it's EXTRA cheesy but they do give you ample shrimp & sausage within the grits. My friend got the strawberry pound cake French toast & she loved it! Overall the experience was great, a bit overpriced to me, but I'd recommend it if for nothing else, the cool spiked breakfast drinks. read more

I sat at the bar for breakfast which had a vacation vibe. Service though was slow, although friendly. Menu selection is good. The downside was the omelette was over cooked. It had more of a crusty, dry texture which was not appealing for me. The grits had a small piece of cellophane mixed in. Otherwise, the grits had a pleasant texture and taste. I probably will return due to the vacation feel but would order something other than an omelet. read more

Unfortunately after my last review, we went back and our experience was not much better- if anything it was worse. We got seated a bit late-- but then the main issue was that once we were seated, they were so incredibly short staffed, we were here way too long! Almost 2 hours total! The waitress was extremely gracious and kind. However, I'm disappointed that they would make any of their wait staff be incredibly burnt out like this. It may have been her and one other waitress with the entire restaurant. I got the huevos rancheros which were good, but again, I would not recommend coming here. It seems that regardless of how long they've been open, they cannot seem to get it together. If you are that short staffed, then you should just temporarily close until you can hire and train enough servers to support the busy brunch crowd. The worst part is that Another Broken Egg isn't some upstart local restaurant-- they are a chain with many other locations across the country. So that makes it all the more embarrassing that they cannot figure out the operations. Needless to say, I highly doubt I could make my family comes back here after the two negative experiences we've had. It's sad because the servers are so nice and the food is good. But the operations make this place a nightmare-- amongst the worse I've seen honestly. read more

Pretty standard fare. Encountered the same timing problems as a bunch of the other posters, but what can you expect with an opening weekend? Arrived at 11, wasn't seated until 12:30 - we were told it would take 45 minutes. Our service was great once we were seated, though - we were out within an hour. Got the veggie omelet (pictured) and some biscuit beignets. Omelet was quality - beignets were dough in the middle! Might give this spot another try in the future if I'm on the west side, but not until they work out their kinks. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Veggie omelet with seasonal fruit and an English muffin - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Westlake, Ohio

While the menu looks and sounds delightful and unique, the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the huevos rancheros which were soggy and tasted like everything came from a can. No flavor, no freshness. The grits were just okay. The cold brew tasted like the weak iced coffees you can buy by the jug at the grocery store. We also waited over an hour for our food during a time where they were not overly busy. I would rate one star but giving three because of the incredibly friendly service- we had our toddler with us, and our server was noticing we were waiting a long time for our food, so she brought over some fruit to keep our kiddo entertained. read more

I came in because I had good experiences with this restaurant in a few other states. The staff was very friendly and my server Abagail was excellent. . The only complaint I really had (which I shared with the manager Alicia) was resolved within minutes and her response was so professional and customer friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting or a resident. The food was delicious and the service was fast attentive and courteous. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with over medium eggs with a side of city grits. Eggs were a bit runny but they made me a new order that was perfect. The biscuits and gravy were seasoned heavy and spicy (which I like). The city grits were full of flavor and the Ipanema coffee was solid. Overall great place for breakfast or brunch. read more

I went for the first time today and won't be back. I ordered a veggie omelet with fruit and an English muffin. The omelet was tasteless, the fruit was brown, and half was eneatable. The english muffin wasn't toasted; when I asked for butter, she shoved a small bowl towards me. And I had to ask for a refill of my drink. All in all it was not a pleasant experican. Sat down right away, seated right away, received water right away. Coffee tasted awful, like colored water. Waited over 45 minutes for our food even though all tables around us were seated later and got their food right away. Got sooo tired of waiting, asked the waitress how much longer and she said 10-12 minutes (Which means 15-20 minutes) She forgot to put the order in. Food on tables around us looked awful. Left after 45 minutes without eating. Went to Hecks instead. Always a great place! read more

I love a fun, inventive brunch place. This place definitely has the right idea, even if the execution was a bit off. Their menu is so creative and vast that it was hard for my friend and I to decide what to order. I decided on the pound cake French toast with a side of biscuits and gravy. I forgot that my French toast came with bacon and eggs, so this ended up being a truly enormous breakfast, which could have easily fed two. The pound cake French toast just looked and tasted like pound cake that was toasted on a griddle (couldn't detect any batter at all), but it was still delicious and plenty sweet on its own. I only got about 2-3 strawberries thinly sliced on top and wished there were more. The bacon was expertly done--crispy and thick-cut perfection. The eggs were overdone. The biscuits and gravy had the right flavor, but the texture was completely off (it was so thick and stiff--like butter), and there was almost no sausage in the gravy. My friend ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich, which was a montrosity with chicken tenders, bacon, and sausage gravy on a biscuit. He gave his meal a thumbs up. I didn't try any of his sandwich, but did sneak quite a few fried potatoes, which came as a side to his already enormous sandwich. The potatoes were really tasty. I'm glad they actually deep-fry the potatoes rather than do a half-hearted home fries like many other breakfast places. My friend also ordered a spicy Bloody Mary, which he deemed pretty good (my friend is a Bloody Mary aficionado). I'm not a Bloody Mary fan but thought it was pretty good too. Coming from New England, I thought our meals here were ludicrously large. We both took home half as leftovers. My husband had them the next day and also questioned the sausage gravy. He was honestly so put off by the texture that he didn't even want to try it. That said, this is a great place to go if you have a hearty appetite and aren't terribly picky about your food. Prices were a little on the higher end for brunch, but given our huge portions, it seemed understandable. Our waitress was very sweet and did a good job of checking in with us. Even though our meal wasn't perfect, I'd come back again. read more

We were in town visiting family and decided to try this place for breakfast. The food was good. Service was a bit slow but it was a holiday week so it was understandable. What was a dealbreaker was the noise level. It wasn't even crowded but the poorly designed acoustics made the noise level unbearable from people simply talking. It was like a giant cafeteria echo chamber. I opened a decibel app on my phone and it read 79-87 decibels continuously. You couldn't hear yourself talk. The server couldn't even hear us when we ordered. We eat out alot and no place has ever sounded like this. I feel sorry for the employees who are subject to that noise level their entire shift. They will definitely have hearing damage. We were looking forward to an enjoyable meal with family but this experience was not it. read more
