I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

Stopped by Another Broken Egg for a solo brunch date and honestly... this place understood the assignment. From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate when I'm dining solo. I had everything I needed, when I needed it, and never felt forgotten. All in all, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. Great food, good drinks, chill atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back--solo or with company. Sometimes you just need a good plate, a good drink, and your own peace, and Another Broken Egg delivered all three.

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good. The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

Kehmia T.

Came for brunch to catch up with a friend! Service - fast and pretty quick. They were quite busy that day but were still able to help us efficiently. Food was pretty good. I ordered the southwest scramble with a side of grits and and the buttermilk pancakes. Another quick little brunch spot for a quick bite.

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

Raul B.

First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. 2 stack of pancakes came with it. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

Jonquil J.

It had been awhile since I've been to Another Broken Egg but I must say the food did not disappoint me. I ordered the lemon French toast with strawberry and blackberries it was amazing so light not overly citrus just the right amount of lemon. The bacon is always a good choice as well as the grits and eggs. The service was A1 she was very helpful with answering questions that we had about the menu. Ambiance was another broken egg very casual atmosphere I will try to do better and not take to long to return.

Restaurant - Very comfortable and friendly decor. It has couryard-like outdoor seating behind the building next to a fountain. Very nice back there! Super busy on the weekend. Better go earlier. Food - Good food. Good menu. Even thought majority of food is the same as other breakfast restaurant, there are some interesting dishes on the menu. I like pretty much everything I had there. Staff - Everyone of them is friendly and professional. We took two little kids there for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was packed inside out. Kids were fussy because of hunger. We were about to leave but I decided to ask if we could get something easy to snack on while waiting. Right away, the manager asked me to wait for a minute, he pull out a big plate of fruit to us and told us there was an empty table in the courtyard we could use. (Don't ask me why that table was not occupied) A plate of fruit didn't cost much, but he did us a huge favor. That's priceless. read more

ABEC is jam packed and very popular. The food is good no doubt, but the pricing is super high. If this place was in Orlando I would characterize this place as a tourist trap but its in the woodlands. If you are willing to spend $12.00 a person for breakfast then this place is for you. You will get a good meal for sure just be prepped for the bill. read more

Went here to try something different for Sunday brunch. Waited apprx 15 minutes for a table (they were very busy). Host and servers were friendly; restaurant was clean and bright and wasn't elbow to elbow in tables. We didn't wait long for our food. They also have an outside patio, but it was closed due to recent rain. Would highly recommend the baked brie, which my fiancé and I shared. I also ordered the Hey Lucy omelette, but would try something else next time, maybe the grits and fruit? Prices were about right. Overall, I would recommend and go back. read more

For two years we've been coming here and loved it. I have diabetes and the staff was great about substituting the breads and potatoes. Today that all changed. They now started charging extra for exchanging the muffins and biscuits for a few slices of tomato. Seriously? We've eaten here for many years and have been very pleased. However, the food has continually gotten worse and breakfast this morning was really awful! They now try to get you to "upgrade" to a higher priced coffee ($3.25) rather than what they serve and we chose ABE in the past because they have had great coffee. No longer. My coffee tasted terrible but the waitress brought me another "fresh" cup ~ it was the same. When my waffle was served (delicious and hot) I started to pour the syrup but it was mostly water. I asked waitress about it and she brought me some in a small cup ~ said it was a "different" syrup. I may have been born at night, but not last night and I don't like being lied to. They don't have several syrup selections, of course. This was the same watery one in the pitcher so I used a small bit of the jam that was on the table. The waitress never asked again how our food was, of course, since she didn't want to know even though she noticed I had not drunk the coffee. I'm more than disappointed, but as there are many other choices for breakfast, we'll not return. Shame on the owners for cutting corners and pushing a more expensive coffee. Stop watering the syrup. Some of us notice! read more

Food was good. Wait was bad. Waited over half an hour for a table. Another 15 just to get our drink orders taken even though we were ready to order.( she said she would be right back) The waitress went to the next table that had came in behind us took their drink orders and food orders. We finally got to order after my son had to go looking for her. The food was okay no it was better than okay but the service was so horrendous it really took away from it. The waitress didn't even bother to apologize for the wait or for skipping us or for anything. With waitstaff like that I don't see them being in business very long. We all decided never to go back. And if I could give them negative Stars I would. Definitely not worth the money read more

One thing I noticed is that, despite the crowds waiting, this place does a great job not making the actual dining experience too crowded. I've been to quite a few crowded breakfast/brunch spots that try to pack people in and so there's not a lot of space to eat, and it's hard to conversation. Not this place. I very much appreciated that. And the food is great. I got the blueberry French toast with strawberry butter/cream and it was great. They also have a pretty good gluten free menu, which I know my mom appreciated. Looking forward to going here again in the future. read more

Just got back from breakfast at the broken egg and can't say I will be back. Two stars only because of the appearance and cleanliness, but it was all downhill once you get past the nice atmosphere. The menu appeared to offer some promise but the execution was severely lacking. I could have recieved a fresher omlette and potatoes from Denny's. I suspect some advance prep is taking place in the kitchen because nothing on my plate arrived fresh and hot. I ordered the salmon omlette and noted quickly that they had forgotton an ingredient listed on the menu and when I brought it to the attention of the waitress she questioned that I was even correct in my statement. I had to request that she review the menu herself. The quality of the smoked salmon was poor and unfortunately this trend was true of the other three entrees we ordered too. I would generalize the pricing to be about 25% higher than going rate for breakfast fare but we realized no benefit for paying this premium. In summary the Broken Egg looks good on paper but doesn't come close to delivering. read more

If you call to place a to go order in the morning, good luck getting anyone to answer the phone, and if they DO answer they'll just hang up on you when they put you on "hold." Terrible service. For a place that specializes in breakfast there's no excuse for the amount of time it takes their kitchen to produce a plate of scrambled eggs. They seem to prepare meals 1 at a time, so if you go with a group for lunch, don't be surprised if the guy who ordered waffles gets his food dead last after everyone else is done eating. The food, if you can ever get it, is passable. Breakfast potatoes are over salty and taste like frozen processed prepackaged stuff, the bacon is good and the eggs are decent. The burgers are about as mediocre as can be. read more

This place is so awesome that we wound up driving a little out of our way two days in a row on our vacation to eat here. We tried the beignets, waffles, pancakes, french toast, steak and eggs, and the potato scramble, and all were excellent. I wound up buying one of the cute little mugs, too. The service was great both days, and the setting is really pretty for being right in the middle of town. The prices were pretty good, though I was a little surprised since everything else seemed catered to upscale breakfast that it didn't automatically come with real maple (you have to upgrade to that for $1.25), but that may be one of the ways they keep their base prices down, and it wasn't like it was too much to pay for excellent food with good syrup. :) My only complaint is that there isn't one closer to us in the Southwest Houston area. I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

I was eager to try out a new breakfast spot, and upon arrival, I was promptly seated by a very attentive and kind waitress. Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. However, I'll be steering clear of the same dish next time around. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! The menu options are huge in this diner and I really wasn't sure quite what to expect. Good news was our welcoming waitress named Candyce who was very friendly, answered questions and made suggestions. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and wanted to order just pancakes, but I bullied him into ordering one of their FIT omelettes (shrimp and avocado) and then they very kindly substituted two pancakes for the side of fruit. I was eyeballing the Reuben on the menu and when I asked the waitress to name her favorites, that was one of them and so I went ahead and ordered it with fried zucchini and onion rings. The latter two fried things we both liked, the Reuben was just average, but the omelette was loaded with mushrooms and onions which helped make it taste good (the kitchen did a good job on that omelette to put lots of stuff on it and send it to the table looking substantial and tasty). As they close at 3 PM, they don't have desserts at this particular location, and so we shared the Strawberry cheesecake pancakes to finish the meal. I can at least say that Mikki was a great server both times and very personable. The major issues this time were with the biscuits and hash browns. I got a western omelette with hash browns and a biscuit, while my mother got eggs Benedict and my father got a ham and cheese omelette. The biscuits are very dry and crumble apart, and because of this none of us were really able to eat them. Our hashbrowns were all different levels of doneness, but all were generally underdone, with my father's being pretty much uncooked and given a general sear. My own were lightly crispy, but the insides were somewhat raw. My mother's were at least almost completely done and had a decent crisp. I can say that at least the omelettes were alright; your standard omelette that you'd expect for a breakfast place to do. I enjoyed my omelette. Again, this place is good! I just don't know what happened this time. Perhaps there's a different chef in the kitchen. Our pancakes and biscuits/gravy from last time were quite tasty, though even then the biscuits were still pretty dry; the gravy helped though. Also, the inside looks absolutely adorable but whoever was managing the music had questionable choices... hard rock at 10 in the morning is a strange choice, even stranger is a bluegrass cover of Thunderstruck by AC/DC. It was all a bit strange and out of character for this restaurant. But I will say that Mikki was the one absolute good part, and I appreciated her service and attentiveness. The chicken fried chicken is listed at $12.99 online, while the in-person menu lists it at $14.99 for a small and $17.99 for a large.
