Loved the place & the food! Service provided by Angel was just excellent! Very organized, fast, and accurate service. And the coffees great!

Great food, service and atmosphere. Fried Green Tomatoes with Spinach and Remoulade as a breakfast starter. Coffee bold... all three of us would come again. read more

If you're in the woodlands, this must be where you go for breakfast. (Not too late of a breakfast, keep in mind, they close around 2pm). Such a wonderful menu with an amazing display. The omelettes are to die for! With tons of choices. And the coffee is great, comes in cute mugs that you can buy. My absolute favorite. read more

I love this place!! Our server Michelle is amazing and she remembers us when we come in . I honestly wanted to give 5 stars because everything is so delicious, but they sadly removed my Mediterranean potatoes off the menu. Michelle was able to have them doctor up a version of them for me to keep me happy. Please please bring them back!! Other than that, everything and I do mean everything is delicious!!! Try the crab cakes Benedict!! Lord Jesus read more

If you are prepared for a 15-20 minutes waiting then this place is absolutely worth it. My family and my wife's friend who was visiting decided to head here for breakfast. After a 15 minute wait, we were seated and we were immediately approached by our friendly server. So straight to the food, my wife ordered the chicken waffles, I went for the pancake trio flight and our guest went for the mixed berries pancake. I choose the lemon blue berry goat cheese, mixed berries and buttermilk pancakes as my trio flight options. The pancakes came with a side of egg to your choice and potatoes. That meant we didn't have to order more food for our daughter who enjoys both egg and potatoes!. The food arrived in no time. The chicken waffle was good, can't go too wrong with fried chicken!. The pancakes were really tasty and fresh and was quite filling, we had the sides remaining to go!. The coffee was smooth and refreshing. Our bill came to 40sh before tipping. The place can get very busy so is surely not quiet. Most definitely worth a repeat visit. read more

Please read ... if you are given a gift card to this restaurant make sure in advance they will accept it. The gift card i received was for "Another Broken Egg Cafe" the same name, same color scheme, identical to the restaurant. However they were not able to accept it because it was only designated to a separate location in the franchise?? Never heard of such thing. The card had more than enough to cover lunch for 4, nevertheless i was unable to use it & had to pay out of pocket unexpectedly. Again, make sure in advance if you plan on using a prepaid gift card that it is eligible at that location.. read more

We've been several times and it's always very crowded so evidently lots of people love the place. We have never gotten anything that was all that great and my eggs benedict had burned English muffins both times I ordered them and had to send them back to make sure they didn't burn the muffins that time. All in all, we have found better places to go for breakfast. read more

This is my favorite place for brunch ever. The choices are all delicious and they have some seasonal things throughout the year. I love Another Broken Egg and try to meet some friends there as often as we can. read more

Enjoyed my brunch very much! My server Michelle was fabulous! Very attentive and courteous. I loved the cinnamon roll french toast!

45 minute wait for 2 people is horrible. We just left as did many more. The receptionist was totally unconcerned. A little customer service and we may have even waited the 45 minutes read more

I'm a picky person, especially, when I go to a restaurant. I want two things; perfect service and food. I was pleasantly surprised with Another Broken Egg Cafe in The Woodlands. The atmosphere was beaming, the hostess greeted me with a smile, my waiter/waitress too had smile and fast service. He/She always checked on me (not too much, just enough). Finally, the food was incredible (I order the Lakeshore Scramble or the Seasonal Fruit). I continue to bring friends, my family (four teenagers-who love it) and clients here for breakfast/lunch. Not only is the service and food great, I have a collection of their coffee mugs (all colors). I highly recommend trying Another Broken Egg, you will be pleased. read more

We were invited to come to the pre-opening of the restaurant today. Excellent food and was very impressed with the service. We loved the sophisticated but relaxed French Country atmosphere. We had the beignets for an appetizer. I had the Lobster et Fromage omelet and my friend had the Works omelet. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I found this place on Yelp, while visiting The Woodlands, and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival (around 9:30am) we noticed a large crowd waiting outside. I went inside to give our name and was told it would be a 45-50 min wait. Well, let me tell you, it took 50 mins but it's totally worth the wait. I ordered the Floridian and my husband ordered a pancake, French toast, scrambled eggs and grits with crab meat on them - they were actually really good and they weren't stingy with the crab either!! Everyone working seemed very nice and the service was great! My husband and I said that we would gladly take the trip from Sugar Land to visit this place again. read more

The only reason that I go to Another Broken Egg is because of Michelle and Keith. If it wasn't for them I would not frequent ABE. They are the best servers. I come here 3 to 4 times a week. They know how I like my food. My city grits were room temperature instead of hot. But on today they could not serve me. 2017 is full of unfavorable changes. Maybe its time for me to change establishments! read more

After hearing good reviews about this restaurant from my friends In the carolinas I decided to try it for myself. First walking in I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome which was nice, it wasn't that busy so I was immediately seated. After seeing pics on yelp I already had a idea of what I wanted I ordered shrimp and grits and oj. The wait time wasn't bad they got my order out faster than I expected. The shrimp and cheese grits were great very flavorful and a good portion for the price. My only complaint is that I wish the waiter would have checked on me a little more often because It was pretty clear that I was done being that that my bowl was clean and it took him a little while to come back to my table so I could pay, he did have other tables so I do understand so no biggy. Over all my experience was really good and begging that this place is near my Job I will be back real soon!! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Shrimp n grits!!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Shenandoah, Texas

My wife and I visited this restaurant for Saturday Breakfast. She had been here a couple of times... my first time. It was a cool morning and they had the air conditioning on. Everyone was siting with their coats on. When we said something to the waitress, she kind of just laughed. We both ordered the Traditional, 2 eggs over easy, patty sausage and seasoned country potatoes. Well one of my egg yokes was broken and hard, the eggs were soaking in the grease from the sausage, the fried potatoes looked like something from a frozen package, and everything had a double helping of salt. Top that off with lukewarm coffee and odd tasting hot chocolate. This was not a good experience. Its amazing how a restaurant can turn breakfast into a $35.00 meal. Please stick to the basics and try to master that. read more

We love this place for breakfast! I love the different mimosas and my husband loves the Bloody Mary that is basically a breakfast in itself. Sometimes there's a wait but it's worth it. Also - if it isn't hot - sit on the back patio outside. It's faster and lovely. read more

The host just attempted to sit my husband and I at a dirty table. He literally walked us over to the table and cleared the dishes at the same time, without cleaning the table. Wow and the place is not even that busy.... Good customer service is hard to find these days. read more

Breakfast menus can offer surprising choices to the morning dining crowd, and nowhere do we see more impact of OWN and the Food Network than the offerings at Another Broken Egg Cafe. The parking is abundant, but unshaded, should you walk into the place after 10am in the Houston sun. Fortunately, Houston parking lots are not the dissected public planning efforts you see, say, in Oregon, so access to and from is refreshingly easy. There is ample waiting area with resplendent drinks drowning your irritation with the hostess who was declined the role in Date Night. But without acting like Steve Carell, you can be seated promptly as they fuss around the empty tables. You are then given great service from watrons who want to enjoy themselves with you, but strangely can't or don't out of some form of guilt around enjoyment as privilege. But the menu then takes over and it is real difficult to not be proud of your decision to try the place. On the appetizer list, you will find Baked Brie which is a surprising combination of said cheese, raisins, diced apple and pecan. Lovely, the breakfast bruchetta...Then the establishment rises to the minimum level of acceptabiltiy and proving their citizenship in the dining nation by using real blueberries in the dough of the pancakes. The bacon is delicious as it appeared as if the owner had just visited the butcher's store for you. A real nice addition was the side dish menu which included freshly sliced tomato. The coffee was ample and adequate. Perhaps the only dissappointment and your only reminder that the French are coming, is the recurring cost of the ice tea. But if you are tired of scrubbing the tables and talking above the parenting found at other places, you can do much worse than Another Broken Egg. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Artesanal New Orleans-style higher-end perennial breakfast/brunch fare 7am-2pm daily, at the Renaissance-facade Portofino Shopping Mall, east side of I-45 in The Woodlands. Eclectic modern French Country home-style ambience, really cute unique artsy-fartsy ceramic mugs (for sale, too), tantalizing menu (4-5 stars), a popular neighborhood *gem* that is crowded on weekends, understandably making service slow to inconsistent (2-4 stars; meaning they need to hire more staff/cooks during their peak times). Liked The Mardi Gras, Veggie Omelette, Beignets (as if a powdered sugar dump truck piled it on...where a mere sprinkle will do, but it must be a style-thing ape-ing after another place in "N'awlins" proper that serves it this way), Monster Cinnamon Roll (avg., have had larger/ better-flavored elsewhere--perhaps need to re-name it to deter 'grand' expectations), *FRESH-SQUEEZED OJ* (5 stars!, very rarely is this done anymore), and just ok Community brand coffee (they could use a real barista to match their made-from-scratch versions). So much for 1st impressions, during our initial Sunday brunch visit, the server apologized profusely after some 45 min. of waiting that our order was "lost" (WTF?!! 1st time this has ever happened to us at ANY restaurant; 0 star--at other places the meal would have been subsequently comped, they were lucky we still paid AND TIPPED 'em, too, given our empathy towards the lowly paid, stressed-out food service staff) & had to re-take our order. 3rd time's a charm: they made up for it during a subsequent weekday breakfast, the service being 4 stars. Further to their credit, waiting customers are led to their backyard outdoor seating area/Italian-style patio/fountain for complimentary just ok coffee & ice water (they could also use some magazines/newspapers, like at a Dr.'s office). For those who arrive on an 'off-day' without a handy Chill Pill or motor-mouthed companions(s), bring something to fill the void: e.g. your Kindle/iPhone/iPad or a book, for those not-so-tech-savvy. Once your meal IS served, it'll all be worth the wait. Bon Appetit! Laissez les bon temps rouler! (aka Let the good times roll! - - mimicking a Texas drawl fake Cajun accent) read more

Very unique menu. Also love the atmosphere and their cups. In terms of the food, felt it was only ok. Tasted like many other breakfast places. Only thing differentiate it is that their menu had different selection of items that I don't usually see at other breakfast places. read more

So glad for another breakfast place near The Woodlands. We have started going here a couple weekends a month for brunch. We love the cinnamon roll french toast!! Service is normally pretty good and despite being busy, the wait is reasonable. Also, the buzzers go to DSW so if it's more than 15 minutes I browse shoes for a few minutes. Only complaint...wish they had a Dr Pepper products. read more

Wow this place has amazing food! Great service. Delicious Irish coffee pancake. Seasonal though should be a year round thing.

Overall, we were impressed with Another Broken Egg, but the Traditional Breakfast with Steak and Eggs was uneventful and the Sweet Potato Pancakes got mixed reviews with our group. I would recommend trying their Biscuit Beignets, Shrimp & Grits, and/or Belgian Waffles. read more

What other breakfast place will I be willing to wait an hour to eat at? None other than Another Broken Egg, Shenandoah! From the staff to the food the entire experience is bliss!! Of course, Mother's Day was going to be busy but it's so worth the wait! read more

Called to ask if they were dog friendly since they have a patio and I was hungry, in the area with my dog at Petsmart, and wanted breakfast food. The lady on the phone stated they were dog friendly on the patio, so I thanked her and was on my way. They have tables with umbrellas on the back patio(no front patio), none of which were open and the business had been open for hours already. Came and sat next to the table near the back door(the walls of the restaurant are glass, hard not to see people) @1037 and left the establishment @1052, never once having been acknowledged by anyone. Not even a single person came to ask why my dog and I were sitting in the patio, much less if we wanted something to eat or drink. If the umbrellas were up I may have stayed longer and called inside, but clearly they die not want my business. The food there isn't top notch but I liked it. Not sure if I will b going back now though. I love having my dog with me to places that actually want my business and love dogs. read more

The servers at the broken egg are always nice and attentive, they have never messed up any food order and the food is so delicious, I always get the salmon Benedict, well for the most part, but their chicken and waffles are also delicious! My brother enjoyed their burger, and he's one of those picky eaters. Overall it's a nice environment, friendly servers and bartenders and good food! They get 5 stars for doing what they should be read more

I've been working in the area quite a bit and after awhile, hotel breakfasts are impossible to eat anymore, so I found this place on here and decided to give it a try. So did quite a few other folks last Sunday morning so I sat at the bar, ordered bacon, eggs & a pancake. The food arrived very quickly and was great. The guy at the bar was very pleasant but not overbearing so I could read the paper a little. He also suggested that they'd be happy to create a custom breakfast if I didn't see what I wanted. I'll be back to see if they can make my hashbrowns/eggs over easy/bacon & gravy mess like I found back in Pennsylvania on the way back from Hershey, PA. He suggested calling it a heart attack. read more

Fantastic coffee and consistently delicious food. It can get really busy on the weekend though.

Food just ok. Eggs over cooked. Kind of over priced. $27.00 for 1 adult & 2 children. 3$/kids OJ. I won't rush back!

Great place for eggs Benedict. Nice atmosphere, very clean and maintained. Service is good be there is complimentary coffee while you wait for your table. read more

We tried this because of good reviews, and we wanted to check out the cute PATIO. (I'm a sucker for patios!) The biscuits and gravy were great, the French toast was good, and we want to try other things on the menu. Coffee was served in an adorable mug, but the taste wasn't anything special. Staff was very friendly. We will be back! read more

I don't know why all the great reviews about this place. Today was the third and final time I come to eat here, I decided to try the mushroom bacon burger since breakfast sucked the last two times I ate here, after all how bad can they screw up a burger right. The meat were two small patties side by side that were burnt, and the bacon was hard and salty, but what really made it inedible was the salty and hot can of French onion and mushroom soup they poured all over it turning the buns into mush. Denny's here I come. read more

If you love pancakes, you are in for a treat -- they were delicious! The service was exceptional.

I was not very impressed with this place for the prices they charge. I came here for small breakfast meeting with a client. First impression to me are everything. The waitress never introduced herself so I never knew her name. I ordered and was served a hot beverage but found no sweeteners on the table , I attempted to get the waitress's attention to acquire some but as she breezed by me without even stopping. I helped myself from the bar. From there the Steel cut oats were mushy and I know what they are suppose to be like since I eat them at home all the time.Very pricey for what you get. An order of jumbo pancakes is pricey enough without having to pay extra for a couple of slices of bacon. The staff needs to look like they like working there, from the hostess to the waitress they seemed to be in another world. Credit is due where credit is worth and having spent 30 years in the food industry, This is not a place that I will return to or recommend. read more
