Excellent experience overall. Nice waiting area in back of restaurant with water and coffee. Excellent server, very knowledgeable of the menu and very engaging. We had the Oscar Benedict and Floridian, both dishes were delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

So last day here in Spring and we headed here for breakfast. It was a 15 minute wait to get seated it went pretty good. We started out with the beniets they were nice with coffee. I ordered the Lucy omelette it sounded so elaborate and when it arrived it look mediocre. Kinda flat very little cheese toppings on the side. It tasted alright and the potatoes were really hot and ok, they weren't amazing or anything. Didn't quite finish my breakfast and it was $40 for two of us with coffee and omelette plates. Overpriced for mediocre, the waiter was friendly but I don't think that would be enough for a return visit read more

Let me start off by saying that i already likes this restaurant and the food but the service is great. We had a waitress (Kiki) and as for first impressions go she nailed hers she was super friendly and made a joke or two. She didn't mess up the order which is of course a little bonus but also throughout our meal she noticed when someone was running low on their drink and we didn't even have to ask for more she noticed and took care of it all with a smile!!! I definitely recommend this place!! read more

Thank you Yelpers for your accurate reviews. The healthy alternatives in ABE's menu made it easy to find a wonderful breakfast that wasn't the same ol bacon & eggs. The skinny omelette was terrific with its red pepper, garlic & asparagus. The staff was very friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. I'd love to come back to this location. read more

First of all, why not five stars, because I'm still looking for a better place for breakfast, I haven't found it, everything is worth it including the wait, which incidentally is not that long considering you are about to have the breakfast experience of your foodie life. Relax and enjoy. read more

Good food. Nice variety. Almost always crowded and slow. Dinner prices for breakfast items. Upsell, Upsell, Upsell.

i called my order in for the hash brown and cinnamon french toast they let me know it would be 10 to 15 minutes i got there at about 18 minutes after the call i had asked for the hollandaise with out mushrooms because i am allergic i also asked for extra whip cream and cream sauce for my husband and it look like they pressed the can for less then two seconds split between two big plastic cups and then only put one cream sauce in the bag before i knew this i went inside and was told to go to the order pick up area where there was no seating whatsoever and server came to pick their drinks up there so i was constantly having to move because there was no space i paid and even tip them despite the fact that i had already been waiting there for over 5 minutes i then waiting an additional 14 minutes for my food by the time i got in my car my food was cold and i was parked right in front of the restaurant so that says something i wish i could give this restaurant 0 stars but i guess 1 will do read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Shenandoah, Texas

Love it - complimentary coffee while you wait, quaint patio area, friendly service, delicious breakfast. I've been here twice and am slowly working my way through their various eggs benedict options. The bananas foster waffle was phenomenal. Highly recommend! Come early as there's always a line. read more

This restaurant has a good breakfast with a decent selection. I enjoyed almost everything I have eaten there with the exception of the sausages. I don't know what they put in it but then taste is unpleasant to me. It's some kind of weird spice. read more

Had a Great Experience! Service was Amazing..Food was Excellent. Coming back real soon!

I like this place because the service is great and the menu has a great variety. I love their bananas foster pancakes! The disadvantage is their coffee is ok (not so flavorful) in my opinion, and every tiny thing offered is billed like maple syrup! The prices are a little higher than the quality of food, but I like the place nevertheless. read more

man...you have to get here early lol the wait was about 30-40 minutes but kind of worth it. once we were seated...it took our waitress forever to come over & even take our drink order!! smh once we were able to order...the food came out pretty fast, so that was a saver!! my girl had southwest scramble which included scrambled eggs, breakfast chorizo, onions, diced tomatoes & green chilies with cheddar-jack, guacamole, salsa & flour tortillas...it must have been good cuz she didn't say anything really until she was done lol i had the eggs benedict...omg that dayum ham was off the chain...i loved the hollandaise sauce too...it wasn't too lemony tasting lol but just right overall..the service kinda sucked...but the food was greatness!! read more

the brunch here is very delicious! The bloody Mary's are very big and a great deal. I do not like common breakfast items so the selection they have is he eat for everyone. It is just always busy and you have to wait, but I think it is worth it if you are bringing family members so everyone gets something they like read more

I was excited to try this place since my daughter told me about. I was very disappointed the food was not all that. I ordered the chicken Fried steak l got was burned gravy over dried biscuits disgusting. My husband ordered an omelette nothing special but he traded mine for his. The grits were cold and our pancakes were hard. Will not go there again. But I do want to thank Our waitress Kassy she was excellent. The only thing worth going there was her. Too bad about the food. read more

Had the eggs Benedict and wife had the lobster omelette. Both were excellent. Prices and portions were just right. Came on a Friday mid morning with a 30 minute wait. Decided to have breakfast in the bar area. Good service. read more

Got the Floridian omelette and banana foster waffles. Delicious! Everything tastes fresh. Great place to go. Closes at 2pm.

Uncleanliness is the best way to describe this place. The front entry way was quite dirty, they needed to clean their fake flowers which were full of dust and dead bugs as well as the ledge it was on which was full of dust and dead bugs too. The entry way floor was very dirty as well. Then I took my child to the bathroom and there was a half dead roach in between the stalls. I mentioned it to our waitress and she said she'd get it taken care of, but 15 minutes later I saw another lady approach a different server saying the same thing. The bathrooms were dirty and the floors were unclean. We arrived around 9:45 so it shouldn't have been that dirty considering it's a week day and they weren't extremely busy. The food was good, but I don't think we will be back just because of health concerns with cleanliness. It also took quite awhile to get our food which was disappointing, again as they were not that busy. read more

Service at the counter was more than terrible today... i understand it is at the counter, but the clerk forgot to place my order... a simple peach belline took nearly 25 min to come... i love the place, but was very disappointed today. read more

We love coming here. The food is great and consistent. It can be a very long wait if you don't hit it right, but often it's worth the wait. There have been a few times that the service has been long, but the staff is very friendly and generally apologetic. Everything we've tried has been good. The biscuit beignets are wonderful and the warm brie platter is delicious! We definitely recommend trying here. read more

This place is overpriced and overrated. The food is average to good, maybe 3 star, but at these prices, no way. Whatever you do, don't get the black bean Benedict. My wife had it and I really should give this place no stars on that dish along. It was virtually uneatable. They didn't charge us for it, but with my breakfast coffee and a mimosa , the tab was $24 plus tip. Ridiculous!!! The service was quick and friendly. Go to Black Walnut read more

We (5 of us) came down from Chicago to stay in this area and we needed a breakfast place. One of us found this place, and it's amazing! Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is so delicious. We all got something different and finished our plates completely. Wish there was one in Illinois so I could come even more! read more

Good food, good service! There was about a 20 minute wait for a party of 3. However, when we were seated our food came out quickly. The waiter was friendly and recommended dishes. The cranberry mimosas were the most memorable from the visit! Will return. read more

If you're planning on a weekend brunch, plan to wait for a very very long time. Lines are always out the door. The food is good, but the menu lacks anything that really stands out. If what you want is somewhere that does breakfast classics well, this is the place. If you're looking for something super unique look elsewhere. read more

The Beignets were really good (the honey marmalade was to die for) but the lobster and Brie omelet left the place lacking in taste. I would come here again but the recipe for that omelette should be re-evaluated. However, the Mardi Gras omelette was delicious. I've notice this place's seafood selection is impressive, and they accurately capture the New Orleans cuisine with a brunch spin. read more

This place is a gem! Great food, great service. Very inventive and creative versions of eggs Benedict and interesting dishes with grains. Coffee is good, tp. Try the chocolate milk sundae! read more

Food is good and service is great. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is because there are several other breakfast places in the area I prefer. The Benedicts are pretty good, as well as the waffles. I always order my eggs hard poached and they always got that right. There's a variety of toppings to choose from for the waffles which is nice. I don't care for the potatoes that come on the side of the egg dishes though. Beignets are just ok. Expect a wait if you come after 9:30 on a weekend, but that's pretty standard for a lot of breakfast places. read more

Their service was good, the manager told me they have a menu with pictures so that my parents can visit by themselves without my help of translating. Their food is delicious and filling! I gotta look for one in L.A!!! read more

Love this place!! The Manager runs a tight ship and this place is always clean & consistent! Very nice outdoor area and everyone is nice. Food is delicious. I love the Popeye (my eggs over medium), Huevos Rancheros, Shrimp and grits, crab cake Cavallo, and so many other dishes. The morning glory muffin, gluten friendly pancakes, and biscuit beignets are really good also. Order the veggies they are great!! Good traditional breakfast as well and the English Muffins are horribly GOOD! I typically don't like them and I try to resist as much as I can when I am here. Waitress Katie (hope that is the right spelling) is very sweet and attentive. You must try this place. I have been to several of these in Louisiana and here. This is the best BY FAR in service, cleanliness, and execution. So don't count it out just yet if you had a bad experience at a different one. I eat here EVERY time I get a chance!! YUM! read more

Was planning on enjoying this meal at my hotel. I went here after choking on my "hot breakfast" at the hotel. Eggs and sausage were like rubber, so I hopped in my truck.. First time I ever had two of my favorite things on a perfectly cooked omelet - LOBSTER and Brie...delicious and generous. The grits are phenomenally creamy and perfect, as is the real butter they serve with them. I signed up for their E-club or whatever and going to try their beignets tomorrow morning...I'm going to dunk them in their delicious coffee too. I sat at the bar and watched an NFL pregame show and took my time. Very pleasant bartender and an enjoyable breakfast. It was before 10am on Sunday, so no mimosas, Bloody Marys or screwdrivers, but hey - Texas rules I guess. read more

this place was delicious! my boyfriend and I aren't big breakfast people but there's something for everyone to enjoy here! the biscuit beignets were amazing and the orangey/honey sauce that comes with it is so yummy. our server also informed us that there is a drink that is made with the same ingredients! I got the granola, yogurt and quinoa and it was just delicious. it came with this decadent cream to pour over and coconut covered bananas which were DELICIOUS. all fruit was fresh! my boyfriend had the Benedict Oscar which he loved. it came with steak, crab, potato squares and it was covered in delicious bearnaise sauce. bathrooms were clean! our server was so nice too! will definitely be coming back. read more

Excellent place for brunch. It will get real busy as expected so be ready for a wait. The aesthetics are pleasant and match the atmosphere. You can't go wrong with this cafe. Try the biscuits and gravy or the smoked salmon it will not disappoint. read more

Little Rooster - from the kids menu is priced at $4.69. Add a 6 ounce drink in a styrofoam cup for $2.29 to complete your two year old's breakfast for a total of nearly $7.00!! Regardless of how good the Eggs Benedict tasted, I can't get past the cost of the children's breakfast. This is a place for a nice Sunday brunch with the hubby or Mom on Mother's Day, but not for an affordable family breakfast. The Eggs Benedict rings up at just under $12 while a cinnamon roll will set you back $3.99. read more

This place is awesome! They even serve brunch drinks! Been here a couple times, if you come on weekends there is always a wait! But it's totally worth it! read more

Good food and service for brunch! I recommend to reserve a spot before going. It's quite a wait for weekend brunch.

This is one of my favorite places for brunch. The shrimp and grits are delish! I also love the mardi gras omelette.

Nice service (but the hostess should smile a little) and the foods decent. I had the skinny omelette and its pretty good..there Turkey sausages are delicious! read more

Ate here this morning with my hubby!! The biscuit beignets were amazing!! I wasn't a fan of the crab cakes Benedict. The crab cakes were very mushy and were placed on top of a mushy english muffin. Aaaaahhhh.... Just what I needed! I came here for the 1st time the day after a negative breakfast experience at another restaurant, and oh, what a relief! This place is a breath of fresh air and exactly the kind of breakfast restaurant I've been looking for! I've lived in the area for one year and rarely go out for breakfast, which is why it's taken me so long to eat here. The place is beautifully decorated and the menu items are not only fresh & unique, but delicious and quickly prepared and served by super friendly and efficient staff. I couldn't be happier! Yay for ABEC for doing it right! This'll be a go-to restaurant for sure! read more

Food was great. DO NOT sit outside on a sunny day if there are no clouds. Absolutely miserable.
