I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

Stopped by Another Broken Egg for a solo brunch date and honestly... this place understood the assignment. From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate when I'm dining solo. I had everything I needed, when I needed it, and never felt forgotten. All in all, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. Great food, good drinks, chill atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back--solo or with company. Sometimes you just need a good plate, a good drink, and your own peace, and Another Broken Egg delivered all three.

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good. The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

Came for brunch to catch up with a friend! Service - fast and pretty quick. They were quite busy that day but were still able to help us efficiently. Food was pretty good. I ordered the southwest scramble with a side of grits and and the buttermilk pancakes. Another quick little brunch spot for a quick bite.

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

Raul B.

First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. 2 stack of pancakes came with it. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

Jonquil J.

It had been awhile since I've been to Another Broken Egg but I must say the food did not disappoint me. I ordered the lemon French toast with strawberry and blackberries it was amazing so light not overly citrus just the right amount of lemon. The bacon is always a good choice as well as the grits and eggs. The service was A1 she was very helpful with answering questions that we had about the menu. Ambiance was another broken egg very casual atmosphere I will try to do better and not take to long to return.

I ate there this morning, because they offer a gluten friendly menu. I have eaten there in the past and it was ok... (but expensive). It has taken me 12 hours to post because I have been sick all day from being glutened by gluten free pancakes.... I'm so disappointed to pay an outrageous amount for pancakes and then be sick because of them!! read more

Very busy place, employees are sweet but they need to get their service together. Wait time for 1 person was 30 minutes. They showed me to the patio in the back what a beautiful space. They gave out complimentary Begniets, very delicious. The food was actually worth the wait. I will go back. This is much better than Egg and I i think. Since its the first week i think they just need to get the feel of how to get customers seated, in and out. Friendly employees though. I am so happy they have a breakfast/brunch place that I can enjoy. Thanks Another Broken Egg. I will be back. read more

I took my 11 year old daughter there for our first visit this weekend. We really enjoyed it! We shared the monster cinnamon roll for appetizer. It was delicious! She ordered the hot chocolate, I ordered the mocha... delicious but the serving size was not worth the $4 price. :( I ordered a veggie omelet with goat cheese and wow.. it was so good! It had the perfect ratio of veggies to eggs. Some places overload with veggies and cheese but not here. The breakfast potatoes were very delicious and the english muffins were so so delicious. Downside... 15 minute wait.. but most good restaurants are busy. My daughter did not like her fried egg whites but I thought they were good. The pancakes did seem tough to me, Had to "saw" through them as another reviewer noted. But she didn't complain, she ate quite a bit of them. I am looking forward to my next visit... hopefully very soon. read more

I have been here a few times but today was a near total disappointment. The steak and eggs was completely disappointing. They need to take that back to the drawing board because 4 kid bite size strips of steak next to eggs and potatoes does not do it justice. The egg and I does a killer steak and eggs and I highly recommend it! Service was incredibly slow, and it wasn't even that busy. Out waiter took an eternity to do anything and spent a long time hanging out with one of his tables in casual conversation while ignoring the rest of us. We where going to stay for some coffee and pancakes but he took so long to come back that we decided to just pay and leave. Their prices should mirror top notch dishes and service but it appears that its hit or miss and that is not good enough. If you want to spend $40 on a half ass breakfast experience then this is the place for you. read more

Really good breakfast, great service (though we went at 10 AM on a Tuesday, so not exactly prime time), some interesting combinations. But only four stars instead of five because it is very pricey. For two adults and two kids, the total was $55 before tip. That included two kids "dollar pancakes" plate, which came with scrambled eggs and three good sized pancakes, an omellete for me, and cinnamon roll french toast for my wife. My wife and I also split the fried green tomatoes appetizer, which was actually my favorite part of the meal. Still, $55 is a bit steep for that breakfast. It's not like we were having brunch at the Delano on South Beach. Would we go back? Probably, but it wouldn't be our first choice because of how expensive it is. The Egg and I is just down the street and would've been a good bit cheaper with just as good of food in my opinion. read more

Did we go to the wrong place? All these great reviews and our brunch this morning was terrible. First of all, the pricing was high. Our breakfast for two was $32 ++. That would be fine if the food was good , hot and/or attractive, but none of that happened. I got chicken and waffles, and my wife got Eggs Benedict. They couldn't have been more bland or plated less attractively. We looked around as we left and all the plates we saw were even more plain than ours. That was one and out for us. My cousin and I went here for Sunday brunch this past weekend. The food was excellent! The beignets were delicious and plenty for the 3 of us to share. I had a Lakeshore Scramble with eggs, meats and cheese. The only downside was having to order sausage separately even though I didn't want the muffin or potatoes (Atkins.) The atmosphere was open and inviting, though we couldn't hear our waitress due to her speaking softly and the dining room being one big area. Overall, it's worth it. We went at 1pm, so the wait wasn't too long, but it was so close to closing they kept running out of things like silverware and water glasses. Oh! The mimosa was pretty good, but I'm still looking for a bottomless mimosa brunch in The Woodlands. read more

Absolutely wonderful place. Bright and airy, smiling staff, great coffee to start with. I had the crabcakes cavallo and it was delicious. Everything our table of 6 had was great. This is not your average greasy spoon breakfast place, therefore you must expect to pay accordingly(our table of 6 had a bill, with tip, of just over $100). The freshness of the ingredients, and the somewhat ecclectic menu offerings make it well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back to sample some of the other menu items. This is probably not someplace I would come all the time, but more of a place saved as teat to myself or for special occasions. read more

I'm not really a breakfast person. Coffee is really all I need in the morning. I have been to several of the ABE locations and each time I have enjoyed my meal. Their breakfast is nothing spectacular, it stays true to down home breakfast favs. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and a few Cajun inspired dishes such as shrimp and grits and their beignets. This was my first time coming to the woodlands location. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and wait d about 35 minutes before we were seated. Our waitress Dakota was very sweet quickly brought out our food and drinks. One of the things that I didn't care for was the water all over the floor. I got up to use the restroom twice and noticed that there were slippery footprints all over the restaurant floor that at one point I almost slipped on. It appeared to come from the kitchen when the wait staff was bringing out food. Definitely not what I want on a weekend a fall in a restaurant. I'm giving it three stars because I believe they could improve a few of the dishes as well and make sure those floors are clean and safe. read more

I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

I was eager to try out a new breakfast spot, and upon arrival, I was promptly seated by a very attentive and kind waitress. Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. However, I'll be steering clear of the same dish next time around. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. The menu options are huge in this diner and I really wasn't sure quite what to expect. Good news was our welcoming waitress named Candyce who was very friendly, answered questions and made suggestions. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and wanted to order just pancakes, but I bullied him into ordering one of their FIT omelettes (shrimp and avocado) and then they very kindly substituted two pancakes for the side of fruit. I was eyeballing the Reuben on the menu and when I asked the waitress to name her favorites, that was one of them and so I went ahead and ordered it with fried zucchini and onion rings. The latter two fried things we both liked, the Reuben was just average, but the omelette was loaded with mushrooms and onions which helped make it taste good (the kitchen did a good job on that omelette to put lots of stuff on it and send it to the table looking substantial and tasty). As they close at 3 PM, they don't have desserts at this particular location, and so we shared the Strawberry cheesecake pancakes to finish the meal. I can at least say that Mikki was a great server both times and very personable. The major issues this time were with the biscuits and hash browns. I got a western omelette with hash browns and a biscuit, while my mother got eggs Benedict and my father got a ham and cheese omelette. The biscuits are very dry and crumble apart, and because of this none of us were really able to eat them. Our hashbrowns were all different levels of doneness, but all were generally underdone, with my father's being pretty much uncooked and given a general sear. My own were lightly crispy, but the insides were somewhat raw. My mother's were at least almost completely done and had a decent crisp. I can say that at least the omelettes were alright; your standard omelette that you'd expect for a breakfast place to do. I enjoyed my omelette. Again, this place is good! I just don't know what happened this time. Perhaps there's a different chef in the kitchen. Our pancakes and biscuits/gravy from last time were quite tasty, though even then the biscuits were still pretty dry; the gravy helped though. Also, the inside looks absolutely adorable but whoever was managing the music had questionable choices... hard rock at 10 in the morning is a strange choice, even stranger is a bluegrass cover of Thunderstruck by AC/DC. It was all a bit strange and out of character for this restaurant. But I will say that Mikki was the one absolute good part, and I appreciated her service and attentiveness. After three visits, Compadres Texas Cafe has officially become my favorite breakfast spot in The…read moreWoodlands area. Jason ordered the Griddle Platter with a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, and bacon, and enjoyed everything. I ordered the Eggs Alone with two eggs, cheese potatoes, and a biscuit with gravy. The cheese potatoes were so delicious that I ate every last bite, then took my eggs and biscuit home. They reheated beautifully and made an equally delicious lunch. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and breakfast is served all day. The service has been fast and genuinely friendly on every visit without ever feeling intrusive or bothersome. Compadres has the comfortable, homey feeling you hope to find in a locally owned Texas café. Their sweet tea deserves its own five-star review. I order mine without ice, and it tastes incredibly similar to the tea Grandma Lilley made in a pot with two full cups of sugar. It brings me right back to some of the peaceful parts of my childhood, which makes it far more than just another restaurant drink. Great food, wonderful service, and a mason jar full of nostalgia--we will absolutely be back.

A server came over quickly, the service was good, and my sweet tea was consistently refilled. The food was affordable as well, although I did notice some pricing discrepancies between the online menu and the actual menu. I came here based on the online pricing, so I was a little surprised. For example, the three-item breakfast burrito is listed at $6.99 online but is actually $7.99 in person. The chicken fried chicken is listed at $12.99 online, while the in-person menu lists it at $14.99 for a small and $17.99 for a large. I also noticed that the online menu says three eggs are included with the chicken fried chicken, but I didn't receive them. I'd recommend updating the online menu so customers aren't confused. That said, I still had a great experience! The chicken fried chicken was excellent, especially with the mashed potatoes and jalapeño gravy. The burrito was a little greasier than I prefer, but it was still good. I also noticed they sell pies and cookies, so I'll definitely have to come back and try those!

The sandwich was good but didn't have the La Madeleine richness that I remember when I last ate at The Woodlands location a few years back. For my drink I had water from the soda machine. Crepe La Madeline is tasty with veggies and protein and is great breakfast to start the day (and…read moreweekend).
