Waited 45 minutes but I would say it is worth the wait. First Tip: Grab a to-go coffee from the outside patio while you wait then you can fill it again before you seat. FOR FREE! We started with the Biscuit Beignets. My boyfriend really enjoyed them, too sweet for my liking. If you like beignets you will for sure be a fan. My boyfriend got the Waffle Sliders (on the lunch menu) and he wouldn't get them again. He said the eggs were overdone and rubbery. He enjoyed the waffle and bacon that came on it. He ended up separating each ingredient and going from there. He also got the Mediterranean Potatoes with them..which he said tasted like pure onions. He was disappointed with his overall. ME ON THE OTHER HAND, Loved my meal!!!! I got the Supreme Omelet - sautéed onions, double sausage, mushrooms & cheese. With a side of house potatoes. All dipped in that yummy table sauce they have. I loved it all! Although my boyfriend didn't enjoy his, he said the beignets and overall feel of the place would make him go back in a heart beat! Definitely worth the wait. So be ready to be patient. read more

I wish this place was a bit closer to home since they serve Community Coffee. An omelet is an omelet, but served with some weak-ass Folger's and the whole breakfast experience becomes as watered down as the coffee. My hubby loves the cinnamon french toast here as well which is covered in berries, a brown sugar and butter syrup (which is all banana's foster sauce is), and cream cheese icing. The "hash brown" potatoes on the side have a bit of an onion or garlic flavor without being overbearing. I love a good omelet, but my only complaint is probably the selection. I like a good balance of protein (the egg) and veggies with some unique selection thrown in. The only way to get an omelet with feta or cream cheese in it is to get one that is just loaded with meat. I've never asked if I can change the cheese out though so it's my own fault if I'm disappointed. I've had no problems with the staff, but we've had the same waiter each time. The decor is generic except for their coffee mugs which are handmade and ceramic. No two are alike it seems and if anything the coffee cups give the place more personality than most of the actual decor. My husband likes them and wants to order a set from the same company. read more

My fiancé and I brunch here a lot!!!! The food is really good! My daughter loves this restaurant as well.

Hit the spot. Period. The moment we walked in we were treated with the utmost care and respect. The ambiance, cleanliness, and service was just as good as the food. I loved the amount of seafood options this place has for brunch/breakfast! We got the Floridian omelette and crab cake Benedict with chocolate milk and peach cobbler pancakes. Portions are a little over average. Would come here again with friends and family. It's the small things that make this place special like the warm maple syrup. read more

This is a pretty good and easy breakfast joint that is much better than any iHop or other nation wide brand. My sisters and I ate there on a weekday morning at around 9:00 and we had no trouble getting a table. The decor is like a country style store, and the best part is that the place didn't smell greasy/bacon-y/nasty like other breakfast joints sometimes smell. Nice and clean. On to food - My sister and I shared the "Veggie Benedict" which was similar to your regular eggs benedict, but piled high with vegetables. The egg was deliciously runny and the hollandaise sauce was alright. My other sister had "Biscuits and Gravy" which reminds us three of how our grandma makes biscuits and gravy. Note to vegetarians: the gravy is definitely meat based. We also had a bowl of grits, a side of tomatoes, and a jumbo pancake, but we didn't really need any of them because the main dishes were large. Our weekday breakfast run to Another Broken Egg Cafe was a good and hearty meal with sharable portions. Easy meal that is comparable to a breakfast at La Madeline Cafe. read more

Found this place up in The Woodlands. Very nice place, service is excellent and the found comes out pretty quick. The Hot Chocolate is a must!!!!! My wife likes this place and she is pretty picky LOL. I got the Biscuits and Gravy and it was pretty good, I was expecting a different type of sausage but all in all pretty good. read more

After having a relatively mediocre breakfast a few months ago, I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and come back to try something new. The first time I was there, I had the Bacquezo omelet and it made me sick. Usually when a place makes me ill, I don't go back. I have been back twice now, and the things I have tried have all been great: - The Floridian Omelet. I had no idea you could put crab and egg together and make it taste that amazing. It was absolutely delicious. - The Smoked Salmon Benny. Also delicious, with smoked salmon, poached eggs, cream cheese, and capers on top of mini bagels. - The biscuit beignets were very tasty. Love that orange honey marmalade! :D - Their chocolate milk is so good. Like I'm lactose intolerant but I'll gladly suffer because it's so good. Of course, there also was stuff that has been not so good: - Again, the Bacquezo. It's just not a good combination of things and honestly, the chorizo still isn't really what you'd expect when someone says "chorizo". It's more like chorizo's healthy but bland cousin. - Juice. All the juices I've had there may be fresh squeezed but you can tell that they do that without removing the pith or rinds. All have been horrendously bitter. - I don't know what it is, but the omelets and things that have omelet style eggs in them (i.e. the waffle sliders) always seem to be overcooked on the outside, leaving a tough exterior. - The fruit isn't really that fresh. Expect damaged or old produce. - For some reason on my last visit the syrup had a film on the top of it? Like it was old and someone just pulled it out of somewhere. I would recommend going here though, just be wary. read more

Mmm, mmm, the food here is great! Felt like nom'ing on the Veggie Burger, so I ordered one and was not disappointed. Avocados, cloves and tomatoes with a tasty veggie patty and bun to die for. All around good stuff! They offer a good sum of alcohol-containing beverages for a cafe that opens at 7am. I am certainly alright with that! Menu is 2 sided goodness. They have a fair amount of dishes to offer without having to use a large, convoluted menu. 5 stars for the food! Decor gives off a fairly rustic feeling, there are some really cool furniture pieces placed around the restaurant. Wooded floors and dark wooded tables/seating juxtaposed with bright ,colorful walls, 5 stars for the interior design and ambiance! Service could have been a smidge better, but only a smidge! We waited quite a while for our order to be taken, but received our meals quickly. Then it took a while for the bill to come -and then after my card had been charged for the food, our waitress had to return to tell us she had charged us for someone else's meal. She canceled out her wrongdoing on my card and then charged me for what my family and I had actually ordered. Not the biggest or worst problem to ever run across, but still. Thought maybe shed compensate me in some way, but she didn't. It's okay though. Decent breakfast and lunch spot! read more

The first time we visited Another Broken Egg, the time was around 11:00 a.m. With a wait time of over 45 minutes, we decided to try again this past Sunday. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and were sat promptly. The restaurant is beautifully done, with lovely attention to detail. The location is quite large, with a gorgeous back patio featuring a fountain and budding trellis. My husband and I were starving and everything on the menu looked amazing. We started with the beignets, which are really biscuits coated in powdered sugar and served with a side of marmalade. Once dusted off, the biscuit were tasty, but simply overpowered with the sugar. The marmalade by itself was nice, but add that to the sugar and you're asking for trouble. My husband had the lobster and brie omelet and I had the Benedict Oscar, an eggs benedict with steak and lump crabmeat. Both were cooked very well. My steak was medium rare, the eggs were poached perfectly and the asparagus was fork tender. My husband's lobster was not overcooked, the egg of his omelet not rubbery and the brie well melted. I should have been thrilled! Unfortunately, I wasn't. While the entrees were cooked well, they simply lacked flavor. They were appealing to the eye, but bland. A dusting of salt and pepper came to my aid, but there was just something missing... Garlic? Onion? Flavor?! Our overzealous server kept trying to clear our plates while we were still working on our meal. Where's the fire sister? The restaurant isn't even half full! I detest being rushed at a meal, especially when it's my first time. I want to savor, enjoy, etc. She was making it quite hard and even asked me to pass her the plates while I was talking to my husband. Not a great experience, not the worst. I'm willing to give them another shot. And maybe I'll request a different server.... read more

Why the four starts? OK breakfast. SUPER friendly service. Spectacular french ambiance inside and outside. The food gets 2 stars but the atmosphere bumps it up another star. It's nice to have a breakfast place like this in the North. I bring family and friends here. On a week day you can get seated right away. Today, (Saturday) our wait time was 25-30 min. So far tried... Floridian: I liked it, maybe a little too fishy for early morning. Cinnamon Roll French Toast: Way to sweet for me. It's basically thin cinnamon rolls sunk in syrup. Smoked Salmon Benny: The salmon didn't seem fresh. The dish was OK. Nothing close to The smoked salmon benedict from Flora & Muse. Veggi Delight: Over cooked omelet. read more

WOW, what a wonderful breakfast in a breakfast starved community, hear in the woodands. So we crossed over the interstate and had a brunch at ABEC. We were greeted by Keith, another top notch server who welcomed us and reviewed the menu for us newbies to perfection. So my 13 year inquired how the Pork sausage gravy was and we ordered our coffee. When the coffee came Keith brought a small cup of the gravy for my son to taste test. AWESOME, He had me at Hello, Just kiss me you Fool type of moment. Best selling point ever. So we ordered and the food was spectacular!!!!!!! I went with the fav Eggs Benedict which had the perfect amount of delicious Hollandaise sauce and the ham was as country and lean as Paula Dean serves. My wife had a wonderful omelet that was yummy. and yes my 13 year old, upon Keith's suggestion, ordered one giant (and I mean giant) pancake (yes it was spectacular) and a side of sausage and gravy. We stuffed ourselves to tide us over to a late dinner. We went on a football saturday so many of the patron's were displaying their favorite teams and lead to many table side chat's that gave this place a wonderful family friendly atmosphere. What a wonderful morning, highly recommend and kudos to Keith and the entire folks at Another Broken Egg Cafe on the north side of THE WOODLANDS. read more

Been here a few times over the last few months and quite liked it - for example the New Orleans style outdoor waiting area out back, plus the hostess (from Canada?) who always welcomed and made you feel special. Unfortunately our last two visits have been terrible and today was our last. Two visits ago asked for cheese grits (terrible - boring grits with shaved Kraft cheddar on top) and soft cooked bacon. The bacon was like glass so brittle - the waitress explained that all the bacon was cooked early in the morning (it was Noon) and that's all they had. Complaints brought a manager and sure enough we eventually got bacon the way we wanted it. Today was the last straw - greeting staff terrible, after waiting 30 minutes we get led to our table by a young, tall blond woman, expressionless, silent and clearly either bored or hated working there (welcome right?????). Then came the disappointing food - the lowlight being the sausage burnt on both sides to the point that the black char leaked on to the rubbery scrambled eggs. Guess what the food server said - you got it! "That's the way they come" - and guess what - you got it! No pay and no tip!!! Last visit for us!! read more

Delicious Bloody Mary's and Mimosas! Have never had a bad breakfast... wait is always long but worth it.

Fabulous Bloody Mary's and Benedict's. Loved the patio! Definitely going back... This is a chain, but a good one.

Very nice place but a little on the expensive side... I would say that Denny's has a better breakfast at a lower price but does not have the same atmosphere that you get here. I would go here on occasion but probably would go to Denny's more often. read more

This was a great choice for brunch with my large family (7 adults, 3 toddlers and an infant). I was surprised that, for a large party on the busiest brunch day of the year (Mothers Day), we only waited 45 minutes - and the cafe has a large patio out back with seating, coffee and mini-muffins for those waiting for their tables. Service/speed was about what you'd expect for a large party on a busy day - not the fastest, not perfectly accurate, but definitely good. Our server was doing a hard job well, and spotted the mistakes/omissions before they even made it to the table. Food: The menu was awesome - very hard to choose, as everything sounded delicious. The beignets are as good as you've heard. The Mediterranean potatoes are worth the upcharge. They have a selection of creative and tasty brunch cocktails too. However, my eggs Blackstone was just good, not amazing, and nothing I tasted from others' plates really blew me away. I mean, it was all good. Diner good. But not, like, Backstreet Cafe good. Overall, great experience and decent food. Probably among the best casual brunch options in the Woodlands! read more

The good: Atmosphere, Unique offerings. The patio is what I was looking for in the Woodlands area. Bacon was good. The bad: There was no wait to get seated but our food didn't get to us for 40 minutes! There was only one waitress for 6+ tables outside- maybe this wasn't typical? I was really disappointed at the food. I had pancakes:The peach cobbler, the lemon goat cheese and the strawberry. Toppings were pretty good. That lemon goat cheese is different in a good way. The pancakes were a Little rubbery. Egg whites weren't done, breakfast potatoes had no flavor. Gravy was okay but nothing to write home about. I really wanted this to be my new spot. I will go back and give one more try just in case today was a fluke. read more

I've been here a handful of times and each time loved what I ate this place never disappoints! Today Mariah served us and she had a great personality and my fiancé and I both agreed she sounded like belle from beauty and the beast. Also totally get the grape fruit juice it's great! read more

We really enjoyed our breakfast this morning. A bit of an odd place for a breakfast restaurant but was a delightful find - in with Sports Authority, a pool cleaning supplies, DSW, etc. The lobster & brie omelet and Southern Crabstack were out of this world. Side of chorizo was outstanding too. And, the kicker - their own pepper infused vodka Bloody Marys. Don't miss em! The coffee was nice too. Typically, we find the very basics like coffee is weak and tasteless at most places in the area. We ate at the bar, typically find service better for two for breakfast and lunch dinning. Hmmm...bar seating for breakfast? Now that's right up or ally! Give this place a try. We think you'll be pleased. Our 2 cents. Greg T. read more

Was in the area and decided to pay a visit. We were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was...fair prices... big portions. We ordered the lucy and the veggie omelet with a side of sausage links. My veggie omelet was amazing and the goat cheese just set it off, all fresh ingredients. Coffee was nice and hot and came in a nice little mug. Once we a were about to pay another waitress picked up our plates and offered us 2 coffees to go which we gladly accepted, even tho we only had bought one coffee and one oj. The wait wasn't long at all but then we went today on a Wednesday. I will definitely pay another visit... read more

I really loved Another Broken Egg! Our waitress, Kassy, was really friendly and helpful with the menu. She recommended the Hey Lucy omelet to me, which I ordered and loved. The coffee was good and the mugs are a great touch. My boyfriend had the pancakes with strawberries on top and they were also delicious. I was impressed with how easy it was to substitute side dishes; I was able to swap my side English muffin for a bowl of fresh berries. The atmosphere was really calm and friendly. Perfect for a sleepy, hungry Sunday morning. We will definitely be returning here for breakfast. Next time I want to try the mimosas. read more

The food is NOT the problem. The problem is the service. After being seated and given our first cup of coffee we did not see our waitress again until the food came out. We waited with dry cups for over 10 minutes. After asking for a coffee refill it still took 5 minutes to get one. The food was great. Hot and fresh. Sadly we won't be back because the service was terrible. read more

Great food. Let's talk about the coffee. I was raised in New Orleans and lived many years in Baton Rouge. I have NEVER had Community Coffee that was so consistently burned! Not bitter. Burned. My first visit was a real win! Knowing the chain originated in Louisiana and had very good reviews- I decided that they just might be able to do justice to biscuits and gravy. I won't order biscuits and gravy from most restaurants because they mostly just don't get it and the results are really sad. Trusting a restaurant to do biscuits and gravy right is a big deal in my book. Another Broken Egg hit it out of the park with their Classic Biscuits and Gravy! They serve delicious fresh biscuits with an excellent cream gravy with bits of sausage, accompanied by two eggs, cubed potatoes, and a delightful surprise of sausage patties. The sausage patties are worthy of their own excellent review. They were unlike any I've tasted before- delicious savory and just a touch of sweetness. I don't know what all the flavors were in the sausage, but this sausage is my new favorite. I will make this my new go to breakfast in The Woodlands area! I have a whole menu to work my way thru. The only reason I did not give five stars is their coffee. It is too acidic on the tongue and I'll need to avoid it in the future because of the upset tummy that came from it. I mentioned the coffee to the Kitchen Manager when he came to my table to ask about my meal, after I first told him how great the rest of the meal was. He said they have had a number of complaints since the Owner switched all his restaurants from Community Coffee over to this other brand. He did not suggest any hope for switching to a less bitter/ acidic coffee. I asked him to add my name to the list of coffee complaints and requests for a better brew. The meal was absolutely wonderful! I will simply need to choose a beverage other than coffee in the future. read more

Everything was amazing! I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to eat here. The biscuit beignets, the Louisiana crawfish skillet, Salmon Benedict. The Salted Caramel Ice Coffee was perfect! You will wait to get a table, it's quite a popular spot. But definitely worth it. read more

I have eaten breakfast here several times and it's always satisfactory. But my sister and I met here for breakfast on our "after Christmas" shopping day. Our waitress was not friendly, in fact I made a comment to my sister about it when we ordered our drinks. I ordered eggs with the trimmings and a pancake. The pancake came to the table cold and wouldn't even melt the butter so I told our waitress about it expecting her to just bring me a hot hot cake. Instead she just told me that the butter made my hot cake cold and didn't even offer to replace it. When we paid the bill I once again told her I couldn't eat the pancake because it was cold...nothing!! She was as cold as my pancake!! If managers read these comments I do not know the young girls name but it was on the Wednesday morning after Christmas Day. She needs to be trained! read more
