Smoked Salmon Benedict-No bread, eggs scrambled

10/10 everytime I eat here... Stopped by during lunch with some workers. The restaurant was busy however the wait to be seated was not long. Service was speedy and everyone was pleased with their options. I ordered the Salmon Benedict with no bread and eggs scrambled. The fresh salmon with the tangy capers is a perfect combination! Overall great!

I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

Stopped by Another Broken Egg for a solo brunch date and honestly... this place understood the assignment. From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate when I'm dining solo. I had everything I needed, when I needed it, and never felt forgotten. All in all, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. Great food, good drinks, chill atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back--solo or with company. Sometimes you just need a good plate, a good drink, and your own peace, and Another Broken Egg delivered all three.

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good.The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. 2 stack of pancakes came with it. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

My came out cold so I sent half of it back, the pancakes and potatoes and grits were not even warm. So when it came back out the eggs were cold. Wasn't the servers fault and I'm pretty sure food would've been good but not that morning. The manager Eddie took care or me so I will try again. I was Thankful that the manager was cool. read more

Went here for brunch. It was overall a good experience but I'm going to tell you why I only gave 3 stars. (1) Horrible service. We waited at the front to be seated for a good ten minutes. (2) When we finally got seated, the hostess sat us down at a corner booth which somewhat accommodated our car seat that had our 3 month old son in it, but not really because it barely fit & I didn't feel secure just leaving it on the side. (3) It was too hot in the restaurant like the a/c wasn't working. (4) The waitress was nice but she barely checked on us. She probably only came to our table 3 times, first to get our drinks, second to get our order and third to bring us our check & to go boxes. I wanted to ask a question about getting another refill for my iced mocha but she never came back before our check. She also didn't bother to give us a bag to put our to go boxes in. But the food was good. The menu had great options. Just a little pricey on the corned beef hash which I didn't feel was worth it because it was too salty & they didn't cook it all the way. I had the Cajun Skillet with a side of corned beef hash & my boyfriend got the traditional breakfast with an extra side of pancakes. Couldn't really complain about the food though. Just the service was bad. We will definitely come back & try other menu options but probably ask for a different server & be more specific on where we would like to sit. read more

I've wanted to come here for a while but always has a very long wait. This weekend I lucked out and only had 20 minute wait so we have it a try! The service was quite better than expected for a busy place like this. One of the best that I've had in a while. Ordered the beignets to start with which were just as good as all the reviews say they are. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of grits and husband had whatever is in the pic I posted. Always solid always great service. Biscuit beignets are amazing and the orange marmalade on the side is spot on. Love the orange zest! Mimosas, pink "pear" margaritas and assorted other boozy coffee drinks make brunch amazing. Their bacon is baked and thus produces a perfectly crispy chewy consistency that is pig perfection. Assorted omelets from the basics to the bold...items like the Floridian with sautéed crab meat, to the Baquezo, with spicy chorizo, there's a taste for all. Additionally they have sandwiches and burgers, and can satisfy regardless if you're looking for breakfast or lunch. Love ABE! read more

Spent the night at The Woodlands and wanted to take my wife out for a good breakfast. Of course not knowing the area well, I looked up good restraints for breakfast in the area on Yelp. Looked at a few but kept coming back to Another Broken Egg in Shenandoah, Texas. The restaurant was very clean and in a very nice shopping center. There were many items that we wanted to try but of course, could only order 1 each. Lol. The Biscuit Beignets were awesome. We really did not know what we were ordering but when it was suggested, we said why not. They are some sort of pastry/biscuit with powered sugar. It also came with some honey marmalade. My wife ordered the Eggs Chicken Benedict. It is only on the menu for a limited time. It is a English Muffin with chicken tenders on top followed with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on top along with the seasoned country potatoes. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Same as my wife's except I had a thick slice of ham instead of the chicken tenders. I also had a peach cobbler pancake. It had sliced peaches, granola, and whipped cream on top. Everything was cooked perfectly. The waitstaff was very friendly as well as helpful. I also like it when other staff (not our waiter) as well as the manager come around and ask if everything is ok. That shows me that they care that you are satisfied as a customer. The restrooms were very clean, and I have come to learn that if they take the time to have a clean restroom, they take the time for the other important things as well. Stopped in last Saturday (2/21/15) and had the Shrimp 'n Grits. Best I've had outside of New Orleans. I sat at the bar, and the service was outstanding. Kept my coffee full, brought my food quickly, didn't rush me (although the place was packed), and took my money in a timely manner. I'll definitely go back. read more

Oh. My. God. This place has the BEST brunch/breakfast ever. I have been twice and both times were delicious. I got the lemon and goat cheese pancakes and I can't even begin to explain how delicious it was. The next time I got the Eggs Benedict and it was equally amazing. The service was great given how busy they were both times. Pro Tip: They are ALWAYS busy - especially on weekends. Call ahead! They will give you the name of the app they use for a waiting list. Then it notifies you how long your wait will be and give you an estimated time of arrival. It is super convenient as wait times can get up to two hours if extremely busy. read more

I was running errands and decided to pop into this place for brunch. What a mistake! I ordered coffee, water, and the street corn scrambler with fruit. I got my coffee and it was cold and bitter. The waitress brought another cup and it was a little bit warmer but bitter tasting. I decided not to ask for another coffee and just have my food. I'm not sure what was placed before me. You had to dig around to find the corn, which seemed to be still frozen. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and cold. One bite brought this strange taste into you mouth. Excessive use of cilantro, perhaps? Yet other than some cubes of red onions, there was nothing green about the dish. The tortilla strips were burnt and stale. I looked for my waitress but found her in deep conversation with a male customer. After minutes of trying to get her attention, I decided to pay my check and leave. I flagged down another waitress and asked if she could get my waitress to bring the check. Finally, the waitress came with the check and I got out of there as fast a as possible. read more

It was 1 pm on Sunday so it was a 30 minute wait. They do provide fresh coffee while waiting. It was worth the wait. Kiwi mango mimosa were as good as we have ever had! My wife loved the avocado salmon toast. I had biscuits and gravy w sausage and potatoes. It was standard breakfast fare but darn good. We will go back. read more

It's not often I have such an amazing breakfast that I sit back in awe of the taste sensations going through my mouth. But this morning, the Bacquezo omelet, bursting with flavors of egg, bacon, chorizo, and cheese, has me licking my plate and smiling ear to ear. Service was fast and friendly (our server Keith was GREAT!); food both looked good and taste delicious. My son ordered a burger, yep for breakfast, and it was juicy and cooked just right. This place was wonderful! The waitress keke was so attentive! The food was fantastic! I had the eggs Benedict with the tomatoes and crumbled bacon. They were to die for. Iced tea was strong and if you are weak like me over caffeine you will have to water it down. Nice and cool in the restaurant while warm rain poured outside. As soon as I walked in I knew this would be a great experience. This was my first time here and I went to the i45 location. All staff was friendly and everyone spoke as soon as they saw us from the greeters, to waitress to the lady that brought out the food. The food was also delicious and very well seasoned. My friend and I have a tradition of grabbing breakfast anytime he comes to town. Our typical go-to spot in the woodlands is Snooze. The last time he came to town, Snooze was closed due to COVID. We found Another broken Egg & decided to try it out. Immediately, their menu screams Cajun /seafood style breakfast & has a variety unlike anything you would see at a normal breakfast joint. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict & my friend ordered the lobster & brie omelette. They were spot on! It was a great experience start to finish & I would definitely recommend any seafood enthusiast to stop by & give them a try! read more

I absolutely enjoyed everything about my breakfast experience here!!!! For Good Friday, they got customers in without a long wait at all. Ample space, super clean and attentive service. Monica was friendly but definitely not over bearing. The pancakes are great. Just the right size. I'm SO excited when I get a warm syrup bottle that's not sticky. Thank you for paying attention to overall presentation. The bacon, sausage, mushroom and cheddar jack omelet is HUGE and tasty. English muffin as expected. The country potatoes are fresh though I think it could use some work to add chopped onion or something to give it a little jazz. Still cooked well and a hearty serving. I have not one complaint and truly enjoyed the mixed atmosphere and ALLLLLL the food. Even the coffee and French vanilla was wonderful. I asked for heavy ice water and she got it right too. This place is heaven to me. I am so sad that this place is only located in the Woodlands. My friends and I found this place after I yelped for brunch locations. It was our first time there and WOW were we amazed. There was a line when we first arrived and we waited for about 45 minutes. Those 45 minutes were well worth the wait. When we were finally seated, between us 3 girls we ordered their cinnamon roll to start off and YUMMO! My friends had ordered the ice coffee, one with vanilla and one regular. I being the little alcoholic that I am, I ordered the bloody mary. We were all very satisfied with our drink orders. My friends who tried my bloody mary,ended up ordering one as well. So when you come here ORDER ONE! When the food arrived, we all pretty much killed our plates because the food was phenomenal. I would love if this place would expand and open up in a location closer in the loop or sugar land :D I would be regular for sure. read more

This is my second visit (caught the itis the first time and fell off on a review) and it was just as well if not better than the first time. The venue: Great atmosphere and wonderful environment. Clean and roomy. Natural lighting but well lit where necessary. Staff: Awesome (both the first and second visit)!!! So, first time my family and I sat in the dining area, which was nice and cozy (for a group of 7). But this time the hubby and I visited, taking on the bar area. And Ashley is the best! Friendly, warm-welcoming and attentive. Pleasant and always smiles! Food: Hands down easily a 20 (on a scale of 1 to 10). Everything (both visits) was fresh and well prepared. Mom took here a couple years back on one of my visits and it's a must stop every trip now. Easily one of the top 3 shrimp and grits meals I have ever had and then I tried the crawfish skillet today. This is not "just" a skillet. It is perfectly prepared and fresh crawfish cooked I to a delicious egg and potato dish. Topped with an English Muffin beyond compare. I normally do not like them, but this fluffy, fresh and soft muffin was the perfect foil to the remainder of the meal. THANKS MOM! read more

We checked this place out this morning after driving by a few times and noticing it's always busy. Well, this place did not disappoint. We had a very short wait for a table and then sat down and were promptly attended to. We got a pitcher of simply orange mimosas which was delicious and some of their "bold" coffee which was great too. We got an order of binets which were very good (not the best I've ever had but really, how many places serve them?) I got the southwestern scramble with their city grits (amazing, must try if you like grits) and my wife got the biscuits and gravy. It was way more food than we could eat but we wanted to try everything! Our server was terrific and it was just an all-in-all great experience. We will be back! read more

What was a disappointment: - total of 1 lifeguard for the entire pool area, which included three pools and a lazy river with a wave area. There is "swim at your own risk" signage, but that is NOT a family friendly environment. - there is a 1x/ day arts and crafts that you have to pay extra to do. - the other staff-led activities were bingo, movie by the pool, and karaoke. The staff was not energetic, smiling, or enthusiastic with the exception of the activities manager who led the water melon eating contest. - it rained for one of the afternoons so we all went into the conference center for games. Wow was that disappointing. The staff was sitting around at a table, no music, no explanation of the table games, not interacting with the guests. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. Of course the manager said that is absolutely not true. - the staff didn't know how to work the projector for karaoke so the kids just used a laptop that the staff member had sitting on her lap. Minimal interaction etc. The events team staff (minus the supervisor) was really subpar. Easily made for a 2 rating for sure. If you want a true family getaway, the JW Marriott in San Antonio is far superior. Photo with my son and one of the disengaged staff members. I'll also say that, again, for this luxury price, the staff need branded sweaters not oversized personal apparel.

My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

In summary, I was not really impressed with my meal, but this is a super casual place and the prices are right. I started off with their house small frozen margarita. If you just need a basic one, this will do. It's nothing fancy. For comparison, their fresh margaritas start at $12 currently. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table. The portions are quite large and reasonably priced. Our first time here. We arrived at 11:30 and was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and paid special attention to ensuring my children were enjoying themselves. The potatoes and waffles here are amazing! Our family did have the beignets, they were ok, but only because I've had high expectations of beignets since visiting cafe du monde in New Orleans. We love the food; the atmosphere, and the coffee cups. My one disappointment in the past is that many times the patio is closed. Overall, this is not a "4.7" level restaurant but that was on only 12 reviews. I might stop in again if I was running down Kuykendahl and needed a quick bite, but the good news was the price. We got all that food for $39.20 plus tip, a really great deal, and our waitress was great!
