I love the fact that the establishment practices social distancing and required mask during the entry and exit of your visit. Expensive and cold food. Bad experience here. There is no kids menu so plan on spending $13 per kid. $4 coffee. The sausage was pretty bad tasting. I don't know what was in it. The bacon had a bad overly smokey taste that was like burnt popcorn. All four orders of eggs felt colder than room temperature. $63 plus tip for two adults and two kids. read more

Wow! After being sorely disappointed in our breakfast choice of the Ruby Slipper yesterday this place was outstanding. I had the Mardi Gras omelette and it was absolutely delicious, it came with the best grits I've ever had and I always order grits. I found out that what makes them so good is they use heavy cream, excellent! The Mrs had the full biscuits and gravy with sausage and potatoes and was equally satisfied. My buddy had the fennel and sausage omelette and loved it. I had to compliment Jimmy the manager on the grits and he was glad to hear from three very satisfied patrons. Well done! read more

We had a nice breakfast. Our server was good and the atmosphere is nice. The biscuits however are more like bread rolls. Not my preference.

1) Called before coming over to get a feel on what the wait was. Told it was a 20 min wait. 2) Got to the restaurant and put in line with communication that it will be an hour wait, likely less. 3) 1 hr 40 min later, we overhear management speaking to another group while we were still 8th in line that they can be seated but they won't get service for a long time. Decided to leave, without rectifying the situation. We are on a mini vacation and drove 12 hours for this trip. Our time is our most precious commodity, and we couldn't waste anymore of it on this place. Transparency in this situation on what the real timeline was would have changed how we used that precious time. Would love to give a true review on the food but couldn't get through the front door first. Overall, mishandled across the board. read more

Another broken egg perfectly combines savory food with breakfast. It was our first time so the waiter gave us a free order of beignets to try and they were amazing. The staff was super friendly and accommodated our every need. I ordered the seared scallop omlete with city grits (grits with gouda cheese, tomatoes and green onions). It was a breakfast dish unlike I have ever tried. My friend ordered brisket Benedict where the English muffin was replaced with a jalapeño cornbread waffle. Their bloody Marys were also amazing. Food was very good. Server not so good he didn't ask if we wanted spiked coffees and brought them anyway. When told we didn't want spiked he brought others and still charged for the first round. I read a lot of reviews, which helped us decide to try Another Broken Egg. I will say that the reviews were not the same experience we had. We arrived and there were two families waiting outside to be seated. We went inside and got in the list and were told about twenty minutes, so back out into the sun we went to wait for the text (that's how they let you know it's your turn to be seated). After seeing both families go in we were ready to be next. That never came. We sat and watched two additional families walk in and not come back out, so decided to go see what was going on. Plenty of tables open. I informed them we had been shipped multiple times, and were seated without a simple apology. The waitress that sat us informed the girl that put us on the list that we had been skipped and no acknowledgement. Our server came and took our order. Simple - Supreme omelets with beignets. They brought out omelets (my wife asked for no mushrooms) and I proceeded to put hot sauce on mine. Turns out they were backwards. We had to call another server to get ours back and she said "which one need to be replaced?" Should have been both to let us have fresh omelets but only one was replaced. Again, no simple apology for the wrong order. The food - I've missed the boat apparently because my omelet was way over cooked and DRY. The beignets were very good as was the honey based marmalade that came with it. I'd give the omelet 3 stars at best. The beignets a solid 4. The server only visited our table one time after correcting our order which was confusing because there were plenty of servers and she only had two tables. Long story short, we paid and left and chalked it up to a bad experience. Had we not paid $40 for two omelets and a half order of beignets it would have been a little easier to deal with but way too much for way too little in my opinion. I can understand anyone making mistakes but own it and simply apologize and move on. Service is just not meeting the expectations. read more

Been to this location several times and always pleased with the service and food. The Chicken & Waffles are my favorite dish here! Served with a sweet chili sauce and maple syrup. Don't go unless you have a lot of time. Arrived at11:50; left 2:30 pm. Waited a very long time to get seated, and for our meal. 10 people/groups went before us.....ummmmm, they called in and got on a wait list. Sign in entry says "it's worth the wait"......we asked to get a drink while we waited.....they were totally at a loss of what to do with that request!!! Great service. The wait time for a table was a bit surprising being it was only 3 of us and two other tables as we were seated, but that was okay...said kitchen was backed up. I can't say enough good things about the staff of this location. We come here several times a year on vacation and the quality of food is always consistent. Today my children decided they'd see how loud they could scream before their parents cried. The staff went above and beyond to help so we could eat in peace. If you're a parent with young kids you know that feeling where the waitress wants you to just leave already but that's not what happens here. Traveling through Bama from Oklahoma, we decided to grab a bite to eat. This spot has a lot to offer. I ended up getting the southwest scrambler bowl, cheese grits, a coffee, and a mimosa. This was a great choice for a brunch venue. The wait time was minimal. Be sure to make use of the wait list feature in conjunction with Yelp!! First time visitors receive a sample of the special beignets covered with powdered sugar. The "Hey Lucy" was a winner for me! My wife loved the "Mardi Gras". I was disappointed they didn't have the ingredients for an adult drink I requested but that was a small failing in an otherwise exceptional dining experience. AND DON'T NEED PLASTIC ONES FILLING UP THE JUNK DRAWER, OR MUCH WORSE, they end up in landfills, and worse yet, our beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Awful experience! We watched the sunrise at the beach and headed here to eat breakfast. They were supposed to open at 7, but they didn't unlock the door until 7:10 (when we could see employees standing around inside). When the door was opened finally they said "we are running late" (unacceptable). We ordered our food and waited an HOUR-it was so awful. We had beignets that were seriously burned as an appetizer. When our food finally came out (after 3 diff people told us they were sorry it was taking so long) we were ready to leave. Then, we got our bill with nothing comped for their mistake (they told Is they just forgot to drop the chicken for the chicken and waffles in the fryer). I would never go back here, the service was awful! We've been to other locations that are good but don't go here!! read more
