I asked the hostess if I could sit at the bar. She said, Absolutely. Not busy. Plenty of staff. Plenty of time for several people to be restocking. No one but me at the bar. No one came to the bar the entire time. No one took my drink order (I wanted coffee). Finally, I got up and walked past the same hostess and said, I couldn't even get a coffee here. Instead of asking why I was already leaving, she didn't even reply. I've worked in food services in the past. I'm very low maintenance. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Brick & Spoon was packed - twice as busy. Took 30 seconds to be greeted and two minutes to ask for my drink order. read more

Wait time for food: about 45 minutes Good grief! We waited ten minutes after getting our food to get silverware, but it was understandable because they were really busy this morning and our waitress had to polish the silverware since there probably was no more. It still wasn't pleasant and the food was even colder by that time. All of our eggs were cold. The beignets came out with our meal since they were forgotten about. The bananas foster pancakes were decent. Not great, not bad. There's more alcohol than food in the restaurant, which is honestly concerning. They probably make most of their money from the alcohol. On the bright side, the beignets were really good. Someone in my party said that the Mardi Gras Omelet was good and that the grits were good after adding salt. I was honestly disappointed overall. Long wait time for mediocre and lukewarm or cold food. *****Please don't serve cold food. It's a health hazard and honestly ruined my appetite. TLDR: Positives: atmosphere and server service Negatives: wait time (very busy, make reservations in advance); wait time for food, seating, food temperature, food in general Atmosphere: Nice but loud. The place was packed like sardines. Massive wait time. For parties larger than 4, you will be split up into multiple tables. Yellow paint on the walls felt cozy and welcoming. read more

We ate here a couple of times during our January vacation. The food and service were both excellent. On our first visit, we were seated in a booth. The booth was quite uncomfortable, and since it wasn't busy when we were there, we requested to be moved to a table. That was a good move. The portions were large, and everything tasted great. My husband really liked their biscuits and gravy. read more

We stopped here on our way to vacation rental in Gulf Shores, AL. We had to wait about 20 minutes. It was a Sunday around 12:30 so that was expected. The food was amazing. I had the Hey Lucy Omelette, with cheesy grits and a 1/2 order of the biscuit beignet . Another had eggs Benedict. Another had the cinnamon roll French toast and the fourth had the blueberry quinoa infused power bowl. The people were friendly. The food was delicious and we all left stuffed. The beignets were served with orange marmalade and were very sweet. Add in coffee, orange juice, and 20% tip brought the total to $90. A bit more than the Waffle House, which was an option. read more

We always eat breakfast somewhere when we are leaving the beach and landed on Broken Egg. The service was extremely slow and the waiter was extremely distracted with other tables the majority of the time. They were out of biscuits, waffles, and several other items which was disappointing for sure. We decided to stay and order anyway. My husband loved his power bowl. My father n law got a traditional breakfast and the sausage was the worst sausage any of us had ever tasted. It was their flavoring, not the cook. The rest of our meals were good. read more

Might be some of the best breakfast I've ever had, I called a large Togo order in and arrived 10-15 minutes later and barely had to wait for my food. Costed roughly $85 for 6 entrees with 3 sides. The inside is a little crowded but we Didn't dine in. No outdoor eating to my knowledge read more

Popular place, so you can always expect a good wait - but not too long. My breakfast was good, the coffee was not. I had the hashbrown eggs Benedict. What turned me off the most was watching out server hit her vape pen every time she walked over to the computer to log an order or print a receipt. I'm not a smoker, but it just grosses me out. Very family friendly place. I would still go back... probably, someday. read more

Diverse menu-chicken and waffles delish ( chicken cooked well but still moist and lightly crispy) says comes with chipotle honey but couldn't tell that is had any kick to it). Lobster and grits good but a little too sweet needs a balance of salty... if it is your first visit you get free beignets! Restaurants clean, server kind and prices moderate. Gravy for biscuits so-so lumpy and taste like gravy that you might put on country fried steak. read more

If you are thinking about where you might like to go to have brunch, look no further. Another Broken Egg Cafe is a great choice! I brought my family here for brunch during our recent trip to Orange Beach. We got in late the night before and were hungry in the morning. I checked Yelp & saw the great reviews. We also really liked that we could join the waitlist right on Yelp from our condo and then head over to the restaurant. Quick and easy! When we arrived, it was a very short wait until our table was ready. Our server was awesome. He was very friendly and kept our coffee cups and water glasses full. He was busy with several other tables, but they were well paced so that he wasn't overwhelmed. The team here is doing a good job in keeping the restaurant running efficiently. I ordered the Bacquezo omelette because what could be better than bacon, cheese, and chorizo? It's also filled with cream cheese, and has garlic butter and green onions on top. OMG! This was heaven on a plate... so delicious. The chorizo provided the perfect amount of heat for me, but for people who don't like anything spicy, you may want to avoid this. My omelette also came with an English muffin and potatoes, quite a bit of food for the price. My wife had the Crab Cakes and fried green tomatoes, which she said was amazing and I'll admit, I had my eye on that crab cake. My son had the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich, which is basically a chicken tender with egg and sausage gravy on it He's a picky eater, but that plate was clean when he was done. This was a great experience overall, from the waitlist all the way to the end of the meal. I highly recommend Another Broken Egg Cafe. I will definitely be back. I think I might try that Carrot "Pan" Cake Stack next time... check it out. read more

One of us ordered the Belgian waffle and asked for melted butter instead of syrup. They brought out the waffle and a small silver bowl with little packets of butter. Ask again for melted butter and was told they couldn't put small packets in microwave. They then brought out another small bowl of butter still in packets that they put under a warmer, still not melted. By that time the waffle was cold and wouldn't melt the warmed butter!! Another lady ask that her city grits be hot when brought to the table. They were so what warm but cooled down quickly so not really hot to begin with. It took over 40 minutes to get our food and a another table that came in after us was served before we were. This was disappointing since we are locals and won't be going back any time soon. read more

Food was good! Can't complain. They were closing up and seemed to forget about our check but we were able to pay and head out. I'd go back

Customer service was fantastic, got welcomed as soon as we arrived, everyone had a smile on their face; Our food was delicious, I ended up getting a protein bowl, and it was to die for!!! The flavor was amazing, and the texture was incredible, it was my first time trying it and i will sure tell you that it won't be my last, great meal for someone that is vegetarian, it was super big i had to take some of it home, and it was still good and fresh the next day, loved it, the texture of the bananas and the granola made an amazing combination, all the flavors were amazing and played a good role at the end, love it, can't wait to go back !!! read more

Great food, fantastic staff and attentive staff. The atmosphere was spacious and clean. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

I was expecting to have a phenomenal breakfast like I got here the last time I was in Orange Beach. Everything from the rips in the seats of the booths to the care put into food prep and presentation would indicate lack of interest in the place. Don't get me wrong, the food was far from bad, just more like less than delicious. Coffee was lukewarm and not very strong. And the homestyle potatoes were so salty! Would I go back or recommend? Most likely not. read more

ABE's food has never disappointed in any of the several locations we have visited, but today's dish was exceptional. The ambiance here in the OBA store is typical ABE, comfortable and pleasant (well except for the weirdly uncomfortable angle of the booth backs... we were graciously moved to a table). I've quit ordering restaurant and bar Bloody Marys as they are 90% of the time just bloody awful but having had a pleasant Bloody Mary at the Pensacola store before I decided to give it a try here and was not disappointed. Nothing that rolled my socks up and down but pleasant enough. The Mimosas, we both thought, were very good. We asked our server if fried green tomatoes could be substituted for the English muffin in the crab cake Benedict. No problem. And we asked for runny yolk poached eggs. We always share a Benedict and have learned to ask in order make sure the dish includes two portions. What came out was a thing of beauty. Perfectly fried FGT topped with crabcake, poached eggs, Hollandaise and garnished with colorful and flavorful chopped green onions and diced sweet red bell peppers. The egg was poached perfectly and the FGT and crab cake were both delish. The Hollandaise is advertised as andouille infused but neither of us could detect by sight or flavor anything other than a very mild Hollandaise. We both thought it would have benefitted from more lemon and some heat. But the whole thing came together very, very nicely. We went with the regular vs. the glorified City Grits and I am pleased to report that the regular grits are prepared here as God intended when He created them. What many (most?) restaurants even in the South do with grits makes the good Lord, and me too, very sad. The grits here are not a mailed in plate filler, but are done really, really well. Of course I still added more butter, and pepper. Duh. Whoever the cats are who are responsible for ABE recipe and kitchen quality control from store to store deserve a big round of applause. Great food, great price in a very pleasant setting. read more

How disappointing. We had been to Another Broken Egg in another city and were really looking forward to trying this one. Unfortunately. this experience wasn't that good. The floors need to be swept. They weren't even that busy. The coffee was way too strong. My "over easy" eggs were runny. Our food was warm at best - no butter melting on the waffles or biscuits. I will say the service was pretty good and I would have told her about the disappointing food had she asked. read more

Food: 8/10 food was pretty good! It was not as hot as I'd like makes me think it was waiting for a while. Service: 10/10 really good. We got a young lady who was in training. She was very pleasant Ambiance: 7/10 when I first stepped in smelled a little old! But I figure it was due to us being so close to the beach and likely people are coming in from the beach. However, at the end of our meal I went to the restroom (mind you I typically do this before hand but failed to this time) the smell was in the bathroom which lead me to believe it was a sewer issue. I let the staff know and they were kind by saying they will check it out. Oh coffee was amazing! read more
