Great price on ice cream! And the pastries were great as well. Recommend this for dessert after eating at one of the restaurants

Breakfast and coffee at BuzzCatz is a fun experience. The quirky decor is all cats, leaving you with a perpetual smile as you feel lucky you were able to get a table despite the fast-moving line at the counter. Coffee is great, they have a pastry chef, and plenty of yummy choices for breakfast and lunch

Inside of poptart. So much delicious filling!

There was a line of about 10 people when we got there but it moved pretty quickly. The food was really good! Poptarts are definitely a must and my cousin got a breakfast quesadilla that was to die for. Breakfast, pastries, and coffee while sitting on big comfy couches = the perfect way to start our day!

As an extremely avid cat lover, I KNEW I had to come by and poke my head in this little cat-themed cafe. Note: this is NOT a cat cafe; instead, it is a coffeeshop and breakfast/brunch spot with a cat theme -- art, apparel, etc. There's plenty of parking out front. It's connected to a couple other businesses but I had no trouble getting in on a Saturday afternoon. They were taking donations of clothes and other supplies for those affected by Hurricane Helene when I stopped in, so that's nice. The one employee I saw came out promptly and waited patiently for me to make up my mind over what I wanted to order and, more difficult, what merchandise I wanted to take home with me! I eventually wound up with a snickerdoodle cookie to snack on, an ube lemonade to drink, and a very funny cat-themed sticker and pin as souvenirs. My snack and beverage came out quickly. I really enjoyed poking around the restaurant and seeing all the art and merchandise. Super fun and funky vibe. A must-see if you enjoy feline-inspired art and clothing and gifts. My ube lemonade was very unique and very strongly ube forward; I don't know that I liked it enough that I'd order it again, but I'm glad I tried it and I enjoyed the unique creation. The snickerdoodle was a textbook but delicious snickerdoodle, with crispy edges and soft and chewy center. I wish I had time on this vacation to try an actual larger meal offering here, but I'd certainly love to come back in the future to experience that as well.

Buzzcatz is always a hit! The food is consistently top notch. I tried the sausage breakfast burrito for the first time, and honestly--it might've changed my life. On top of the food, the staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere here is just unbeatable. Great vibes all around!

The decaf coffee here was chef's kiss. This was one of our favorite breakfast spots during our visit to Gulf Shores. Finding a good coffee shop is easy, but finding one that also makes a great decaf coffee is hard. The decaf coffee here was perfection. They have something called a Hollah on the menu. We came after breakfast hours, so that was our only egg option. FYI, breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The egg and cheese Hollahs were okay, but we didn't order them again. They were just very bready and average in my opinion. Mine was also not fully heated so the middle was a little cold. I would totally recommend the the other breakfast items and the desserts/pastries over the Hollahs. We got their vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting, and it was so delicious. The cake had the perfect consistency, and the frosting was divine. Their biscuits and quiche totally hit the spot! The quiche had a flaky yet crisp crust, and the biscuits were one of my favorite items here--and I'm picky with my biscuits.

    Seating, nice and comfortable

While in Orange Beach, we enjoyed a relaxing moment with a great cup of Cuban coffee. It was so good, and the cupcake and ice cream were great. The attendant said everything was made in-house.

The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listen to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chair and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

Live music every day by the pool was awesome! And talented performers! The beach itself is right behind the resort and has the softest sand. Wanted was rough but we were still able to get in a slash around and jump some waves. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition.

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

She was not, the hostess was mistaken. The "manager" backed up her employee and we were told that we would not be served - after an hour and a half. I respect a manager backing up their employee, but there is a much larger theme here and Cobalt clearly dropped the ball. The lobby area was completely packed and loud, the manager was ENTIRELY disinterested in anything we had to say and didn't care at all that we had been waiting an hour and a half. Cobalt clearly doesn't give a crap whether or not you come back or leave a bad review. The local restaurant choices for large parties are limited, and Cobalt is so busy they apparently don't need to worry about customer service. We won't be back, and I strongly suggest that anyone with a large party avoid Cobalt.
