I am an out of towner that comes in once a year for a conference. I ordered mid morning on a Saturday. I enjoy trying new brunch locations so I googled and this restaurant came up. I ordered online and then headed to the location. There are two pick up parking stalls which was nice! There is plenty of parking in the lot. People were waiting outside and there were a few tables that seemed to be ready. Electronic seating notification. I was rudely directed to the bar to pick up my food from the two girls at the hostess stand ... like I'm supposed to know? No sign, no instruction. So that's my take away from the physical location Onto the food: I ordered specialty pancakes, eggs and a meat. Honestly there was nothing special about any of it. Maybe a to-go box sucked the life out of the meal. Couldn't get through half of it. I also ordered a 1/2 order (4) beignets. They were not good at all. Not sure where the powered sugar went, but it was like someone swapped the long John silver hush puppy batter for these mini supposed gems. Then petrified them for 10 years, they're probably somewhere close to a diamond on the hardness scale. I had to ask for plastic ware to eat my meal (sorry) - attempt to eat, and I had also ordered a souvenir mug because it looked like a sister restaurant to a place back home. That was not in the bag, and when I asked about it, the hostess said "well did you pay for one?" No, I'm asking because I think they should just come as a parting gift... of course I paid for it, and if anyone putting my order together would have checked they would have seen that it was missing the $20 mug. 2/5 would not recommend. read more

I ordered through Doordash and the prep rime wasn't too bad, especially for a Sunday morning. However, the flavor? It's like they do not believe in seasoning. Thank goodness I ordered to my home and could add my own, but I would not dine there in person. I ordered the Salmon Power bowl which contains quinoa, spinach, pickled red onion, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, avocado and pan-fried salmon. It is gluten free friendly, which is why I ordered it. The pickled onions were the best part. The quinoa had no flavor, not even a hint of salt, but it was cooked well, at least. The mushrooms were raw and unseasoned, as well as the rest of the vegetables. The salmon was kind of dry. It comes with a jalapeño-honey vinaigrette but it didn't suit my tastes. I also ordered the kids gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes and there were no chocolate chips or whipped cream, so that was disappointing, too. They are very small and inconsistent sizes. It is nice that they offer several gluten free and vegetarian options, though. read more

We were looking for a place to eat after an early morning follow up eye exams. We ended up at this restaurant not by design but by default. So what does a Louisiana breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant have to offer the appetites of Indianapolis residents? No matter what you are hungry for come with an appetite. You will not leave hungry. Many of the dishes tie in Louisiana flavors. you can substitute egg whites for eggs. You can ask for something simpler. The restaurant was full including the bar. A favorite for breakfast/brunch! They're usually pretty busy in the weekends so that's the only drawback but we can normally find a spot in the bar if nothing else. Lots of great breakfast options so it's a great place to go with a group or people who like more traditional breakfast. Coffee is good and so really like the mugs they serve it in (I know, weird thing to care about). I usually get the chicken and waffles...because, delicious! But their pancakes are really good too. Honestly, everything I've had here has been good so you really can't go wrong. Now I'm hungry for breakfast food. read more

Great hasbrowns! Super thick - crispy on outside, soft on inside. Eggs bene was real home made sauces and English muffins. Only issue - eggs were a tad overdone but we didn't bother sending it back bcs it wasn't a huge deal. Ham is real h - not cheap sliced stuff. Several great looking dishes in the menu. read more

My family and I first discovered this place in Clearwater FL. We were happy when they came to Indy. Cool menu items that taste great. I do think their pancake/French toast stand out as being the best on their menus but it's all above bar. We had a lemon blueberry FT down in FL that was very memorable. Tip: Join the waitlist on the Yelp app! We had such a nice breakfast here on a Sunday morning! We were on the North side (fellow southsider here) and I have heard good things about this place for breakfast/brunch. I logged into the Yelp app to check it out and noticed they had a "Join Waitlist" option. It told me the wait time, where I was in line, and when I should arrive. So you mean I can just show up and don't have to wait over an hour to be seated?! Yes please! We were seated very quickly and were asked if this was our first time. We responded, "Yes," and were given a complimentary order of Biscuit Beignets. They were good! The service was fantastic! See pictures posted of everything we ordered. We both loved what we ordered and will most definitely be back! read more

Went for brunch with my 5yo son and my father. Being from out of town, we did find the ample parking in the rear which is a plus in this town! Could have used some directional signs inside, we tried to enter the kitchen door and when you do walk into the main entrance there is not a sign indicating it's the restaurant. (clearly a restaurant, but wasn't 100% it was the one because good for them it doesn't have the typical breakfast place feel) Mask mandate is over, and they were accommodating when we asked to move to a little less packed area. Which, the place was not overly busy and we were able to be seated. As we were leaving it was starting to get crowded. (9am). Staff was friendly, service was good and fast. I will say the staff member didn't have an understanding of some of the menu....didn't know an ala carte price for a side, didn't know if the spicy bloody was on the extreme end or the bland end (it was pretty intense). But she was nice and did a good job checking on us. First-time diners get a free beignet and they were perfect and excellent. They don't really have a good option for kids meals, so you're ordering a full meal. Overall the food was fresh, and pretty simply made and tasted good. Generally, I found the dishes to be a little underseasoned. But it was good not great. read more

Easy parking. Service is fast. Free beignets for my first time in, nice touch. However they were a little hard for my personal taste. The hashbrown egg Benedict was tasty. I didn't enjoy the peppers on top however. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Server was kind but couldn't make recommendations on the menu. Ambiance was pleasant. Felt like a quaint place that I could see would become a regular breakfast spot for some. read more

For some reason I really wanted Eggs Benedict for breakfast today. So last night I did a Yelp search and found Another Broken Egg had it and it's close to home. I put an order in sometime after midnight for pick-up at 930am on line. Order process was easy. Really wish they were doing curb side pick up but didn't see that option. This morning got up went to the plaza and placed an order on my Starbucks app before going inside to get my food. It is really very unsettling seeing so many people not wearing masks inside. That's why I wish they had curb side. Got the food, got my Starbucks and went home. They packed lots of jelly, butter and other condiments with your order. The Eggs Benedict was great. Eggs poached just right and I like the ham instead of Canadian Bacon. The hollandaise sauce was in its own container and it wasn't broken. I didn't care for the grits but I was full with the Benny so no problem. Husband seemed to like his omelette and breakfast potatoes. He was also happy with the grape jelly for his English muffin. All the staff had on Masks. Do curb side and this would have been a five star review. read more

Pros: Friendly Staff, Warm Ambiance/Atmosphere Cons: Mediocre Food, High Prices. I used to eat here for years. Once the restaurant changed their menu and focused more on serving sugary cocktails than serving good, quality food, Everything went downhill for me. I ordered the Salmon Power Bowl and the Salmon was not only undercooked, but rare. The waiter tried to play it off and mentioned the restaurant serves medium salmon as if we were eating at St Elmo's Steakhouse. Unless you're serving sushi, there should be no reason to serve "medium" salmon at a breakfast place. I understand problems will happen especially in the kitchen so all is forgiven. However, I won't be returning as there are plenty of better breakfast places in town with more space and diverse, tasty menu options. I wish you guys the best of luck,but this establishment is Another Broken NOPE. read more

Whoaaaaa folks. I think I have found a new favorite breakfast spot! I've had this one saved to try for a long time, and finally was able to get here on a late Wednesday morning to see what the fuss was about. DE-LISH! I'm just going to jump ahead and say that this was so glorious, lol. We were greeted by a lovely hostess who promptly seated us and changed us with her friendliness. I wish I had gotten her name, but her greeting us the way she did just made me happy. Now this menu that they have is extensive! Brunch options (New Orleans-esque), normal favorites, drink options, you name it. I loved the variety. Our server was so helpful and explained the menu and gave suggestions. I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted breakfast or the very popular shrimp and grits, so we tried both! The shrimp and grits - oh my word....sooooo good! Cooked to perfection! I also ordered the pancake trio with my choice of 3 pancakes (sweet potato, bananas foster, and regular). Hello sweet potato!!!!! Baked bacon and home fries on the side were cooked perfectly as well. Did I mention the strawberry mimosas? No? Well I did now! Awesome!!!!!!!! We did notice a bit of a wait, even for a slower morning. I wasn't upset with that because our food came out perfectly. Be advised that weekends are extremely busy. Our server told us about the No Wait app that is now through Yelp that will make your reservation for you ahead of time. I'll be trying that next time. Super friendly Elizabeth for our waitress was a plus. This is a great place for bigger parties since there is a lot of space and expansive menu. read more

I came here for a late brunch and I was wonderfully surprised! Usually, chain restaurants alcoholic drinks are water down and the food is mediocre at best. However, at another broken egg cafe the food was tasty. I had the shrimp 'n' grits and the Louisiana crawfish bowel. It's not exactly the favors you'll find down in New Orleans but the dishes are tasty! Also, the blueberry lemon mimosas were absolutely delicious, and had the perfect ratio! Additionally, the service was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we walked into the door to when we left my party and I were treated exceptionally well! read more

Looking to have a long brunch, I wandered over a few weeks ago. I was still hesitant about eating in, but they've done a good job distancing tables that it was ok. The place was still busy at 1pm but I had no problem getting a booth for one. The food was delicious as always. I tried a brunch old fashion. Imagine an old fashion with coffee mixed in served in a mason jar with a mini pancake and bacon. I almost didn't need my omelet and grits. In fact I was so full that it made a great dinner layer from the left overs. Covid notes: staff mostly wore masks correctly (1 waitress spotted with the nose out, thankfully not mine or running food). Great distancing indoors and many tables outside. read more

Overall: A surprisingly great spot for southern-style brunch, especially in an otherwise brunch-less area. The good: There's a lot of great things about this place: Reservations, lots of seating, huge (almost too much so) menu, free beignets for first time visitors, a coupon to return in the future, and great service. The food itself was great overall, the chicken and waffles I had were delicious. The waffles were soft and the chicken was tender, and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Portion sizes are healthy and you won't leave hungry! The not-so-good: Not a lot honestly, I just don't have a 5 star "wow" feeling. The beignets were rock hard and the place is a little loud, but other than that we had no complaints. Food/drink: 8.5/10 Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10 read more

We love this place!!! However when we walked in today there was a strong smell, almost like sewage. Could've been a building issue. Either way, we decided to sit outside. The patio area was clean and shaded. Of course we were greeted by several waiters. The level of customer service is always top tier at this location. The food took about 30-40 mins to come out on a Thursday morning. We didn't mind the wait because the food was piping hot when it came to the table. Everything was seasoned & cooked to perfection as well. I also ordered the Grand Margarita. I was a but disappointed in the size when she brought it out, considering it was $10. However it was very strong & tasted amazing. If you're looking for a wonderful relaxing brunch with amazing drinks and don't mind waiting on quality food then this is the prefect place for you! My husband and I loved this place!! My first suggestion is to download the No Wait App so you can get in line while you're on your way. We did this and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. We started out with the pitcher of Abe Famous Infused Mary. If you like a spicy Bloody Mary I highly recommend. My husband also got the light roast coffee and he said it was great. I got the chicken & waffles which had a honey chipotle glaze. I loved the balance of sweet and savory. The glaze also added a little heat. I'd definitely get it again! My husband had the smoked salmon benedict. I had a bite and WOW. Lots of flavor. My husband loved the poached egg and the smoky salmon. Our food took longer than normal to come out but he said he would've waited another hour for his food because his meal was THAT good, haha! Our server was super sweet and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I can't wait to bring friends here to check it out! read more

Came here around 11:45 on a Sunday- our wait was estimated around 20 minutes (nice thing is you can check in through yelp before getting to the restaurant and save yourself some time!) and the wait time had increased to ~1 hour before we were seated. We ended up spending about 2 hours here as the service is pretty slow. Our server did ask if we were on a time crunch likely knowing we would not be in and out in a decent time. This was my first time here and our server explained that the restaurant has a southern feel- you could definitely tell by the menu items. Our server was almost awkwardly too nice and I wasn't sure if this was to try and mimic southern hospitality or she just wanted a good tip- either way it was too much for me to handle. It came across fake especially when we saw her snap at the man bringing out our food for going to the wrong table. I wasn't super hungry so I just had scrambled eggs with cheese and the country potatoes. Nothing wrong with it but nothing I would come back specifically to get. We did split an order of the biscuit beignets and those were pretty tasty! Probably the best part of the meal. I Didn't plan to visit here but Yujo next door was closed and this place had pretty good reviews. I was a solo diner for today. There was a 30 minute wait. No biggie, I walked over and got coffee from Starbucks while I waited. Once I got the text that my table was ready I headed in. The service was great. Hostess was very nice and cheery and my server was attentive without being overly bothersome. I was surprised how fast my food came out. I ordered and had my food within 10ish minutes. I had the southwest scramble with potatoes. Everything was pretty bland. The southwest scramble had chorizo in it. Chorizo is usually very flavorful but this wasn't at all. Over all the meal was underwhelming. I will visit again sometime and try something else on the menu. The service was so awesome that this place definitely deserves another try. read more

My boyfriend and I have been to this location many times for brunch. I appreciate the fact you are able to join a waiting list prior to arriving. Once we received our text we were greeted promptly and seated rather quickly! Our server was new but she was well versed in the menu: my boyfriend had the Benedict Burger, he really enjoyed it lots of flavor and very filling. I had the short rib with smoked Gouda grits with pickled watermelon rinds, oh my god it was so good, the short rib was tender, the smooth, cream grits were perfectly prepared, very nice presentation and taste. Great when it comes to another carb loaded breakfast chain. Interesting ideas when it comes to some of the menu items. Nothing really stood out but nothing was bad. The breakfast potatoes are deep fried I believe, like little breakfast french fries... I didn't mind them but my bf didn't like them. This is a chill place to grab a breakfast and have a business meet. This location has loads of seating and is pretty quiet for conversation. Get there early as it does fill up. Visited Another Broken Egg a few days ago with a friend who frequents this place on a regular. This was only my 2nd trip to this establishment, but I will certainly be back. The staff was prompt with service and very kind. Everyone was still social distancing within the restaurant and employees wore masks. We ordered a side of biscuit beignets and they were phenomenal. Its a nice fluffy dessert type of appetizer, with a sweet crunchy exterior. The waffle was fluffy and the perfect breakfast. Everything we had was delicious. The restaurant was pretty busy. When the host sat us down he immediately brought all 5 of us a glass of water. He asked if we'd ever been before and we said no. He brought us some complementary biscuit beignets with the honey marmalade. They were very good. A little more dense than a traditional beignet but still soft and fluffy. Our server, Brandon, was busy but communicated with us that he'd be by soon. He answered all of our questions and thoroughly explained the menu to us, and provided us with great service. Bar service was excellent and I'm at an age where I appreciated that the barstools had backs to them. Ordinarily, you can grab a menu to peruse, find a seat, and then order at the counter when you're ready (and linger as you please, returning to the counter when you're ready to close out), but bar seating was full service. Whether you want a traditional breakfast or your feeling more adventurous this is a place to go. The menu is crazy in a great way with creative culinary way. Chocolate Stuffed Belgian Waffle, Eggs Blackstone Benedict, Louisiana Crawfish Skillet and much, much more. If your preference is a more traditional table setting omelets, pancakes, French toast, waffles they have it too. Biscuits and Gravy, and a Biscuit Sandwich is my favorite here. The gluten friendly pancake is scrumptious! and I love the Salmon Power Bowl for lunch. the restaurant is slightly upscale because of a full bar available. Terrific service by a staff that clearly is having a blast at work today; from Frank, Ethan, and Dijon up front, to Dave stopping by to holla at us "You lovin' every bite?!", to the ridiculous service by Nicki and Grace.
