The place will set you back a bit but if you want quality ingredients in food and drinks this is your place. The Eggs Benedict was huge so I could only eat one side, took the other side home, but it was hot that day, when the next nite was near freezing, so I had to toss it because I was put too long. Brunchin' up north is hard to come by. This place has a small patio, bar and inside seating. It does get busy, so expect to wait. We were seated within 30 minutes and the wait staff was very friendly. She gave a bunch of recommendations and came by regularly to check on us. The food was amazing!!! The fried green tomatoes with crab cake and sprinkled feta cheese - BOMB! The grits were creamy and fully loaded. Reminded me of a baked potato or baked potato soup! Our waiter this time was Katherine. Giving attention to your customer is 1 thing but too much... it's annoying. We got 7 times the same question : is it good ?... yes, it's good. We ordered 2 coffees (5.78 dollar and free fill), I had the granola mix (10.99 dollar) and my husband the Hey Lucy with fruit (13.98 dollar). It was a warm June morning so the wait was about 40 min, but we requested to sit outside and got a table within seconds! Visited for Sunday brunch with my husband and SIL( sister in law). We were seated in Alex's section... which was a huge bonus for us!!! We took awhile to figure out what we wanted and Alex was patient, knowledge, charming and attentive. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with city grits and bacon. My husband ordered the baklava waffles, turkey sausage and eggs. SIL ordered the pancake flight, grits and turkey sausage... and all were delicious!! There was a slight problem with my meal only cause I don't like fruit compote. I didn't want to say anything, but the nice man ( I didn't catch his name) who brought our food to us alerted Alex. First time and impressed for the most part. Excellent service and zero wait time (although it was a Tuesday at about 9:30 - can imagine a long wait on weekends). I had pumpkin waffles with eggs and sausage. My wife had blueberry French toast with eggs and bacon. The waffle was crispy outside and fluffy inside (before butter and syrup). The blueberry bread used to make the French toast was full of fruit and covered with plenty of plump fresh blueberries. The sausage was excellent with strong taste of fresh herbs. Bacon was oven baked and good but not exceptional. Eggs were done perfectly (over medium). Why 4 and not 5 stars: 1. Coffee was only warm and never hot (3 cups). 2. Pumpkin waffle barely tasted of pumpkin. It was an excellent Belgian waffle but I would not call it pumpkin. Having said that, it came with GREAT pumpkin spice butter which was a necessary ingredient. 3. We were seated at a tiny table that soon became too crowded- 2 plates for each meal, 3 glasses, 1 coffee cup plus all the breakfast odds and ends one expects. Will get a larger table next time, and there will be a next time. Nice thing about being retired. We can go anytime during the week and avoid the weekend rush. read more

The only thing I would say is to ask for some of the seafood sauce on the side or to ask them to go heavier with the sauce. The potato's were really good and soft. So disappointed. One of the worst meals I've had. My husbands meal was fine. Not fantastic but fine. He had the black stone Benedict, which had been skimped on the potatoes, a LOT. Even the guy who brought our food noticed and offered to bring my husband more. I had the biscuits and gravy. The poached eggs were cooked well. I believe they had a gravy issue. It took a while for the meal to come out. When it did, it was warm at best, not hot. My sausage was cold and my biscuits were soggy. The gravy was not gravy. It was milk watered sausage. Horrible and inedible. The waitress was great. She followed protocol... offered me something else and when I declined took the cost off my check and the manager looked in to it. They saved themselves from a 1 star because they handled the situation well. Unlikely I will be back. Such a great concept, ambience, and staff. You'd think that at a place like this you could find a decent stuffed egg... sadly, not true. Price: This is one of the pricier brunch spots around north Houston for sure. With the surrounding competition offering a full list of enjoyable menu items, this place should lower cost or meet the higher bar. Service: I've been at 8 and at 12 and have never had poor service. In fact, the servers always seem to be in a pleasant mood. Also, use the "Nowait" app to skip the line because after 9am there will be a line. Bloody mary: This gets its own section because Torchy's across the street can whip up a better house BM for just $3 on the weekends. I paid $7 and really couldn't taste much but tomato and a shot of vodka. They have an upgraded BM that would be closer to 8 or 9 after tax, but who has time for that??? Overall: This is a chic little brunch spot in the spring/tomball/vintage neighborhood.
