I have been going to this place for years but sad to see some of the quality slip First off they have a "C" health score, so tht didn't inspire confidence Servers were nice and friendly and they got the cook on my eggs right (something they often struggled with) My main complaint and why they lose 2 stars is the hollandaise sauce. I ordered a classic Benedict and everything was great except the sauce, it felt like it was artificial hollandaise or something prepacked and it had no flavor and lacked even a semblance of a yellow hue. Everything was on point, and I ate my whole meal. Something I rarely do because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach! My best friend and I came here on Valentine's Day for our annual galentines day meet up, and it was amazing. I ordered the smoked salmon on a bagel, and my friend ordered the cinnamon French toast. My mouth watered as soon as our dishes touched the table. Chip, our server, was delightful, and made the experience even better! We both ordered drinks. Overall I am always happy with this chain of breakfast places. Always know what to expect when I'm traveling and I see one of these Broken Egg Cafes. Standard menu makes it easy to decide what to eat. My only problem is usually with the amount of food that is frozen and warmed up and served. Would be so much better if the majority of the food was made to order and from fresh ingredients. The staff at this location was amazing and made the visit worth while. read more

Since the handful of times I have been here resulted in slow service with mediocre food, I haven't been back often. However, my friend and I decided to meet here for brunch one Sunday. The wait was crazy. But thanks to the Yelp app, I added myself to the waiting list and we ended up spending some money at DSW a few shops over. We checked back in at the restaurant and only waited 5-10 minutes before we were seated. But that's what to be expected for Sunday brunch. We ordered a carafe of the peach bellini (usually only offered as a single drink, but our server went above and beyond to make sure we could get this done!). It was tasty and got us feeling good! I also ordered the crab cake Benedict (my usual) with potatoes and we split the beignets. Everything was tasty and all was right with the world. After finishing up our food and bellinis, we had some more catching up to do, so we ordered some boozy coffee to top off the meal. I ordered the spiked Nutella iced latte, with a few of my favorite things all in one drink: Nutella, Rumchata, and cold brew with bacon and a mini beignet? YAS. It's my version of an extra dirty Bloody Mary. It was definitely worth the $8. Overall, my experience has definitely improved since my first few times here. I can't believe it's taken me so long to grab breakfast here. There is ample parking in the lot and the location is super easy to find. I had the salted caramel spiked iced coffee, the blueberry lemon mimosa, and the shrimp and grits. Everything was fantastic. Our server, Kimberly, was incredible! The mixed-fruit side was fine, but the scrambled eggs and sausage were tepid. The 'gravy' did not appear to be made with sausage, but was more like cream and maybe a thickener, with pepper. Waited for 30 minutes to be sat, waited around 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive at table not even alcohol, just water and tea. Fire alarm went off several times during our visit. Waitress took a very long time to get refills. Food was good but nothing amazing. A bit expensive for the quality. Check took around 15 minutes to come after table was cleared, and then another 15 to get the card to pay. I liked the atmosphere other than the fire alarm. Wow is all I can say about my breakfast at this place. The Shrimp & Grits are must. This is the only dish I have had ever and it by far is the choice to have. YELP has a waitlist (which is so convenient) which makes waiting less stressful . ABEG has Louisiana inspired food so you'll find a lot of seafood breakfast/brunch options on their menu. The service is good, the order:food speed is great and whenever Alli is there you are certain to get service with energy and a smile! She makes going an extra treat! Noise level good. Service level excellent by waiter and mgr. Mgr was jumping in and cleaning, helping with orders etc on other tables. But our waiter was quite on top and responsive. Food. Wife ordered the breakfast beignets. They were a bit harder than I would have liked, but tasted delicious with orange marmalade sauce too. I had the crab omelet. Excellent. Large portion too. Wife substituted smoked salmon for the crab, and she said hers was perfect. So we will be back . During the week. (1) While we were eating our food, two of the waitresses walked over and stood their with the bathroom door open with their apron on. The smell was not pleasant and it definitely was not sanitary to have your apron on in the bathroom and then serve someones food after. We asked our waiter to suggest she take her apron off and she cursed him out. 2) This place was packed and the tables were not socially distanced. Went with a group on a Friday morning and the wait was less than five minutes. I ordered the salmon Benedict and it was very good. Salmon was smoked and the poached eggs on top of the were good. My hubby, knowing I love the deep southern food, took me here for brunch. It was soo delicious! I had the seasonal lemon custard filled French toast. There was just a little bit of whipped cream left on my plate! They were lemony goodness with not too much sweet. Eggs and bacon on the side was normal and tasty. OMG so first off when we went there it was our first time at broken egg in the city and they gave us great service the servers name was Tim and she was really nice and they gave us some biscuit thing covered in powdered sugar and it came with some type of jam and that was really good and because it was the first time they gave it to us for free. I really like this breakfast spot. I've had a variety of their dishes, and each has been great! I like everything ranging from their Belgium waffles, to their grits, to the oatmeal. They have a wide variety on the menu, but come prepared to eat if you don't get one of the small dishes at the bottom.
