When you walk in, there's a few seats at the bar often accompanied by regulars along with a few smaller tables just enough for about a dozen people. Only a fool would walk away with the impression that it's just a local dive bar. You would be so incredibly wrong. Every single item we've tried was made from scratch, customizable, and absolutely lick-your-plate delicious. Some of the highlights were mussels with your choice of sauce (we've tried curry and garlic white wine on separate occasions), wings, ribs, lamb curry, stuffed filet of sole, their seasonal seasonal specials like Ontario pickerel. The one "must have" dish is our family favourite: Gorgonzola penne. Rich, creamy, garlicky, and consistent every time. We order this on repeat. Prices are a bit higher than what you would expect at a local tap and grill but the food speaks for itself. You can tell that the chef owners truly care and always do a table side check after each meal to ensure you're happy. A true, can't miss gem in LP.

Our server poured a full glass of wine and was about to pour for everyone before anyone had a chance to taste it. Apparently, the tasting menu didn't extend to the wine. Unfortunately, the bottle turned out to be bad--a plot twist best discovered with a small pour, rather than a full commitment. When we questioned the pour, our server told us there was no need to taste Prosecco first. Apparently, bubbles come with quality assurance. Unfortunately, our bottle hadn't received the memo. We also had to repeatedly remind our server about forgotten items. I thought we'd booked dinner, but apparently we'd signed up for a supervisory position. No training, straight into management. With a Michelin recommendation, I expected the basics to be handled properly. I wasn't asking for someone to serenade the branzino--just let us taste the wine first and remember our requests. Even the chocolate cake arrived with a candle. I briefly considered making a wish for better service. Hence the low rating. Some nice food and lovely photos, but a disappointing overall experience.
