This is undoubtedly one of the best Chinese restaurants in Brampton. Everyone I've brought here has said the same--it's one of the best dining experiences they've had. The fried chicken is an absolute must-try. It's on the saltier and slightly spicy side, but if that suits your palate, you'll love it. It's incredibly crunchy, flavorful, and satisfying. The fried rice is also excellent--comparable in taste to what you'd find at Congee Queen. The portions are generous; one plate could easily feed two people. What keeps me coming back is the "Meal for Two" combo, which is a fantastic value at under $60. If I remember correctly, it includes dumplings, fried rice, fried chicken, General Tao chicken, and spring rolls. Every item is cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Tried Green Bite after a friend recommended it, and we had a great early dinner here with family. We shared Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Mongolian Beef, Shanghai Noodle with Chicken, and Chicken Wings. Service was honestly one of the best I've had in a while. The staff were friendly, responsive, and knew how to read the room. I also really appreciated how well they made use of the space. A lot of places this size end up feeling like takeout joints with tables, but this one was cozy and thoughtfully put together from top to bottom. Now onto the food. Overall, everything was good, but the wings were easily the standout. Perfectly fried, seasoned with just the right amount of spice and heat, and absolutely addictive. If you're coming here, ordering the wings isn't optional. They're a must. Other dishes, like the noodles and Mongolian beef, were a bit on the mild side for my taste. Maybe I'm just used to something with more kick, but they leaned a bit safe. Not bad at all, just felt like there was room to push flavor further, especially after tasting how well they nailed the wings. Dumplings were hearty and filling. I personally prefer a thinner wrapper, but these had a wholesome, satisfying quality that still worked. If the area is the reason they're keeping things mild, I get it. I was craving Chinese food, and Green Bites Restaurant popped up as a recommendation. At first glance, I thought it was a vegan spot (probably because of the name), but it's not! Brampton isn't usually the first place that comes to mind when you're in the mood for Chinese food, but since we were going to be in the area, we decided to give it a shot--and I'm so glad we did. The moment we walked in, the appetizing aroma hit us, setting the tone for what would be a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is cozy and well-lit, with a welcoming ambiance. The servers were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. We started with soup, which was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I've been here a few times now. First and second time were really good. Amazing dumplings! Great chicken, whether it's chicken wings or popcorn chicken. Even the fried squid was great. Last time I went they seemed incredibly busy. The dumplings were still good but seemed lacking somewhat. The popcorn chicken and other items were bland compared to last time and the portions seemed smaller. Still highly recommended. I hope next time I go there it will be amazing again. read more

A recent wing experience reminded me to write about the best ones that I had in the GTA. This shout out goes to Green Bites! Don't judge a book by its cover. In this case, don't be fooled by its title as a dumpling & tea bar restaurant as the chef owner knows how to make some fantastic Asian-style wings! What's special about Green Bites' wings, you ask? The chicken basket comes topped in assorted colours from the garnishes. Not only are the wings perfectly fried in a light HK-style egg batter, it is also garnished with jalapeño, red pepper, onion and basil for a little kick & aroma. Crispy, well-seasoned & all-around delightful. It's the must-order item. We dined in the outdoor patio, and ordered several of their popular dumplings as well. We weren't able to order their coloured varieties due to the limited menu for the day. Plenty of filling were in the handmade Pork and Shrimp-Vegetable Dumplings. Not spectacular but they arrived alongside house 'dragon' sauce (chillies, soy sauce & vinegar) for extra flavour. Green Bites even operates as a tea bar, if you are into the Asian tea tradition. Hands down one of the best places to get Chinese cuisine in the GTA. I saw many good reviews about this restaurant so my partner and I decided to give it a try. It's a very small cozy restaurant with friendly staff. My partner and I ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings in a steamed veggie wrap, chicken chowmein noodles, chicken wings, and honey sesame chicken. ORDER THE WINGS. It literally says on the menu 'Must Order' because they are absolutely delicious. They come fresh out of the fryer to your table, super juicy, and just the right amount of seasoning! I wasn't expecting much from the noodles but I was pleasantly surprised by the hints of smokiness from it! The honey sesame chicken was also great! The batter is a bit thick but super crispy and pairs nicely with the sauce. We tried the dumplings last and they were a little underwhelming just because of how impressed we were by the previous menu items. However, we still enjoyed them. Overall, it was a great dinner! I have flagged visiting Green Bites Dumpling and Tea Bar for what seems to be eons. I love dumplings! I recently did a staycation in Brampton. After work, I decided to order takeout from Skip the Dishes. The process was easy. The plaza's parking lot was pretty full when I got there. I nabbed the last available spot and walked over. There were two folks at a table at around 5 pm. I walked over and said that I had an order. The woman didn't come across as being warm. She asked for my order ID. That was different and a first for me. Considering that my order was the only takeout one there and that I'm the only Mary around, I found it odd. She eventually decided to drop the request. That's not my style if you make such an odd request. I pulled out my app and showed her the ID to make her day. I got my food. Karma is fun, though. I spent some time taking photos of the place. She looked puzzled at first, but didn't say a word. The interior is quaint and nice. I was pleased and left. I had my food in my hotel room. I ordered chicken Shanghai noodles, for I was in noodle mode. I also got steamed pork and shrimp dumplings. You pay more if you want your dumplings pan-fried. The chicken was tender in the Shanghai noodles. The noodles were chewy, which I loved. The veggies were crisp and I liked the taste. The downfall was that the dish was oily. I may need to make a note to have them use less oil. The steamed pork and shrimp dumplings were amazing! Dumplings are on the pricier side, but do shell out. It's worth it! I was not expecting a whole shrimp in each dumpling. Each dumpling was delicious and heavenly. I need to make a note to simply order dumplings here. After breaking me off the Panda Express type food, my friend told me it was time to have DimSum. She also told me that it was called YumCha - Drink Tea. An amazing authentic Chinese food place & tea bar in Brampton. Just the restaurant Bramption was in need of. As a vegan, vegetarian you have endless options here. I loved the noodles, lemon soy chicken, veggie dumplings with dragon sauce, soy chicken egg, vegetable tempura had an amazing basil flavour with made them just unique and so delicious. From the regular menu my husband loved their chicken noodles, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp vegetables, tempura, egg soup and a lot of endless selection. Now the tea, where to get started from... well Jasmine tea made from fresh flower buds, green-tea just perfectly brewed to my taste, oolong was my favourite of all. Cute little place full of wall decor that makes you look and admire some of the things they have. Seating for about 40 people. Plenty of parking as they are close to Walmart. The price is higher for the quantity of food one gets - compared to other Chinese places. I got a steam chicken dumpling dish which took longer than anticipated. The best part was: the sauce!! They called it their dragon sauce. It's salty, sour and a kick of spice, all mixed in with a sprinkle of coriander. Yum!! The dumpling was bigger than a dim sum place and nothing much stood out. My hot and sour soup was worth the $4. It was hot and delicious!! I would order that one again. My partner had the orange chicken dish with steam rice. The portion is small and he said it wasn't as crispy as it should be since the sauce drench the chicken pieces. For a light lunch, I felt it was pricey. Atmosphere wise, it was lovely. Clean. Very impressed with the place, especially given the low-pricing of the restaurant. First off, this has to be one of the most nicely decorated places I've been to for a place where a meal averages $10. Ambiance is typically low on my value of a place - especially if it is low cost, but this place just stands out so much in that regard that it deserves mention. Another thing that stands out is how large the kitchen is. When I came in, I think that there were 3 people working in the kitchen, in addition to the person at cash. They were making full use of the large kitchen and it certainly looked as though everything is made fresh and on site. It's admittedly a fairly limited review since it's only based on one visit, but I did try their chicken wings which many people are already raving about, as well as the pork and chive dumpling in the spinach wrap (still made of dough, but with spinach incorporated in). The freshness of the dumplings was very apparent and they were certainly never frozen. Lots of natural taste since it was all fresh. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly with lots of crust and a dry rub spice, but still juicy inside. I still need to stay and enjoy their tea, which would mean I would have enjoyed the "dumpling and tea bar" experience. But aside from that, there's lots of the menu I'm looking forward to. Before coming there was a ton of things I wanted to try but since I was just getting a quick bite to go, I settled for some pork pan fried dumplings and spring rolls. While waiting for my order, I couldn't get over how cute the place was decorated. The tables were not some basic bitch tables. All the decor went together. From the interesting hanging rolling pins, to the nautical rope draped from the ceiling. Everything created such a nice atmosphere. Really set the tone of the place. My food took about 10 minutes to come out, which is expected because it's fresh. I let my food cool down while I headed over to Lowes and dug right in when I got back to the car. I don't even like dumplings that much but these were sooo good! Really bursting with flavour. I think I don't like dumplings because they can be really bland, doughy and mushy. Not these. Nicely pan fried, so they weren't mushy. They had structure. Good amount of filling. And I'm sorry but as basic as the spring rolls are, they hella good. And worth the $2. They're a decent size with fresh tasting ingredients. They come with a nice crunch but also doesn't flake all over the place. I would defs order both the spring rolls and dumplings again. My family visited Green Bites for dinner after picking up my mom from the airport. The traffic was horrendous! To avoid being stuck in traffic less (the traffic is always horrible, just lesser of the two evils), we decided to stop by Green Bites for a quick bite. We had the vegetarian dumplings ($6.95), spicy chicken wings ($6.95), and spicy crispy tempura vegetables ($6.95). Overall, my family enjoyed the tempura vegetables the most. My husband and I took his parents out to Green Bites to celebrate his mom's birthday and we had a lovely time! The space itself is small but beautifully decorated and very clean. Our servers were also super polite and friendly, checking in on us just the right amount of times. I really enjoyed the tea service (so many interesting blends to choose from!). We chose the Iron Buddha and the Spring Green Tea options. My favourite was the Buddha version - so refreshing with a slight floral taste to it, just amazing. Our servers also refilled the tea pot for us once and offered a second time as well, lovely. We ordered many of their dishes to try and we all left totally stuffed. I loved their home made veggie dumplings and the spicy/salty dipping sauce was oh so good! I am seriously craving their dumplings right now. Great new Chinese restaurant in Brampton! They are authentic and legit Chinese restaurant; different from all Hakka restaurants in Brampton. The decor was rather nice for a small restaurant. As you enter, the left was is adorned with cute little tea sets, Chinese pottery and paintings. The right wall is filled with the rolling pins used to flatten the dough for making dumplings. So the decor sets the expectations that the restaurant isn't called "dumpling and tea bar" for nothing. The food is delicious and incredible value considering the price point, freshness of ingredients, taste and portion size. Plus all their food is MSG free. We went in a large group so we got to try a lot items from the menu - Steamed Spinach dumplings filled with pork, Pan-fried chicken dumplings, vegetable dumplings, Kung Pao chicken, General Tao Chicken, Crispy Fish, Basil shrimp, Honey Sesame Chicken, Crispy Chicken wings, Lemon soy Chicken (vegan), Shanghai noodle with vegetables. We also tried High Mountain Oolong Tea, Dragon well Green Tea and Jasmine Tea. We liked everything and all members in our party were really happy with their choices. I tried almost everything and liked some dishes more than the others. My favourites were - Basil shrimp, Crispy fish, crispy chicken wings, Kung Pao Chicken. In dumplings I liked the vegetable dumplings the best. And Oolong Tea was the clear winner in my books. It's really nice to see an authentic Chinese restaurant in Brampton aka what I like to refer to as "the middle of nowhere". This restaurant is truly a gem and brings the kind of variety to Brampton that Brampton needs. Their specialties are dumplings and tea. Their dumplings come in a variety of colours and are totally instagrammable if that is your thing. I also thoroughly enjoyed their fish fritters and hot and sour soup. I find that the real highlight of this place is actually their tea. The owner mentioned that their tea comes hand-picked by his colleagues in the tea industry back in Fujian; now that's something to support! I particularly like their Dragonwell tea, which is a strong green tea without the bitterness and the Oolong tea. My cousin who lives in Brampton was shocked when I told her that I found a real authentic Chinese in Brampton and we're planning to come back to make a visit. 5 stars for bringing a breadth of choice to Brampton, being owned by owners who truly care and put in their sweat work to make the restaurant successful, and the amazing tea! This is a gem is Brampton. Thanks to a friend who recommended us coming here to try out their food and tea. The chef owns and runs the restaurant with his family. I was surprised to find authentic chinese cuisine in Brampton as most are found in Richmond Hill and Markham. The staff were super friendly and steered us to order the dumplings and wings. We also ordered some noodle dishes. All of us were amazed with the quality of the food especially the veggie wrap dumplings. The wings were good too as you don't expect them to be good at a Chinese resto. Personally, I preferred the steamed dumplings as it is healthier. The noodles were also a hit with the group. We were told that the teas are directly sourced from the farms and we could tell by the high quality. The chef came out to greet us and told his story about his passion for cooking and drinking tea. I've always enjoy Green Bites prior to the pandemic and it's restrictions, and I am glad their quality and flavor is still amazing! I ordered steamed beef dumplings, steamed pork dumplings and their crispy chicken wings for take-out through Ubereats. I was a little concerned for the steamed dumplings as they usually don't travel well- but I was pleasantly surprised that they were still soft, warm and especially delicious. Green Bites has definitely mastered the art of packaging steamed dumplings, lol. The same goes for the chicken wings as they put holes in the container lid so they would stay crispy and not get soggy from the steam. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and I finally got there. It was everything I thought it would be, and more! The service is casual (you order at the counter) but very friendly and efficient. The decor is bright, warm, and really inviting. The food is the star, however. We got beef dumplings that were delicious and really juicy. We got the beef in the green dough steamed. The meat filling had a great combination of fat, meat, juiciness, acidity, etc. It was fantastic. We also got vegetable dumplings in the white dough, pan fried. They were chewy and had a lot of flavour, especially mushroom. The chicken wings were the real star of the show, though! The dry rub is unique and incredibly tasty. The wings themselves had a really crisp exterior and a super juicy inside, even after the last couple had been sitting at the table getting cold for twenty minutes while we dug into dumplings and a main course. Highly recommend the wings and the sauce that goes with them (which we also used to dunk our dumplings ;)) The black pepper chicken we got was also fantastic. Just a touch too salty, but that's really nit picking. It was great and I would order it again. Finally, we got tea. We chose the Dragon Well and it arrived in a beautiful tea service with two delicate cups and an ornate tea pot, on a tray that had the big dipper constellation on it. After having meaning to stop into this place for a while now , and having a craving for dumplings I decided to stop in and order takeout for dumplings and some orange chicken with rice. My food came to about $23 dollars including tax so fairly reasonable for what I got. Food 5/5 ! Let's start with the star of the show the steamed pork dumplings ,the dumplings were generously filled with wonderful porky meat ,juicey , tender and so full of flavour a bit fatty witch made it even better . You can taste and see the chives and the garlic inside just so dilicious.  It comes with a soya based sauce with garlic and some peppers but really the dumplings on there own are so flavorful you dont even need sauce. The Orange Chicken was fire ...let me tell you the young owner who runs this place you can tell the care and love he puts into his food from the way the food is presented , packaged and of course how it's made the freshness etc it's just a huge cut above your average what you typically see out there. The chicken was again a very generous portion and not just batter real chicken pieces with a very nice crispy crust . What I love is thought into separating the sauce from chicken so it wouldn't get chicken all saugy they really put thought and love into their food prep. The orange sauce was tangy very orangey and what orange chicken is supose to taste like. I think you can see by all their 5 star reviews how good their food and service really is. Service 5/5 ! If I could give this place a 6/5 I would completely exempulary of how a restaurant should conduct their service and food prep with nothing but love . The owner was super nice . The food prep  and presentation was next to perfect ...As you can see by my pics how the food arrived in the bag everything was neat clean and presented so well ...if your in the area and are in the mood for authentic chinese dumplings then get out and support this restaurant.  You wont regret their food and top notch service. Don't the pictures of the dishes look amazing? The chicken wings were crispy and tender, and you can't go wrong with sweet and sour chicken! The dumplings are a bit of a splurge to be honest but I appreciated how nicely they were made! You can't even tell where the seam is! It's good for but a bit overpriced. read more

It's a little pricy, but the food is good. We ordered a variety of takeout. Chicken wonton soup was very nice, the broth is nice and light and the wontons are quite flavourful. We enjoyed a dozen crispy chicken wing, the spiciness was not too strong and really added a great zip to the chicken. I enjoyed the healthy portion of garnish on the wings. The Mongolian beef also has some bite, but not excessive. The beef was tender and the flavour was balanced well by the onions. We tried 2 orders Pork dumplings, steamed and pan fried. Both were really good. I bit into one that shot a stream of the juices over a foot long (that juicy). I think the pan fried has a slight edge, but I would order both again. The steamed was good because it wasn't chewy, and the fried had a good crispy texture. Overall we enjoyed all of the food. Next time we want to try, Orange chicken, Singapore style rice noodle, Sweet and sour chicken, Hot and sour soup, Crispy squid, Steamed mix veg, and any noodle or chowmien. Service: 10/10 The waitress was super nice and provided great service! Decor: 10/10 The restaurant looked amazing! Loved the furniture + the pictures and paintings were created by the actual owners! THE FOOD..... 10/10 Their famous chicken wings were juicy and flavourful. The pork dumplings were crispy on the outside and so delicious, especially with that dragon sauce. I also had the high mountain oolong tea. So comforting.. reminds me of the way my dad makes it! read more
