We've had popcorn chicken (5/5), pork cutlet (4.5/5), fish fillet (4/5), braised beef (4/5), stinky tofu (3.5/5 for me but others give it 4/5), dry noodles with Taiwanese sausage (4/5), braised beef soup noodles (4/5). The sides are consistent in what you get and the nice thing is you get to choose 3 with bento boxes. The complimentary soup is alway nice and my rating varies depending on what they made that day but never below 3/5. Price: At prices between 10-12$, this is a great place to get takeout lunch or dinner.

We ordered the Calgary beef, lemon chicken, and spicy shrimp. The shrimp dish came as fish instead, but it was also delicious. I found the lemon chicken a bit dry with the breading this time around but it was still tasty. As always, we had much left over to eat for breakfast and lunch the next day :) Love this spot and will continue to support it, especially during these times.

The beam spouts had this over tenderized chicken, always turns me off, but otherwise it was ok. The wonton soup I would take a pass on or at least don't eat the the wontons, they didn't taste good. So it's alright but I haven't really eaten enough dishes here to give a through review...

We were feeling a little peckish after spending the afternoon building an Ikea TV stand, so we decided to go with the Dinner for 2 ("2 Egg rolls, Chicken Chop Suey, Jar-Do Wings, Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, Chicken Fried Rice") and we added a plate of the Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli to our order. Everything was exactly as I pictured it (and hoped it would be). None of the items reminded me of the authentic Chinese food I've eaten over the years, but was the food comforting and well prepared? It absolutely was. Everything tasted fresh and there were some strong flavors in the separate dishes. (The bright orange sauce for the sweet & sour chicken balls was exactly as sweet as I was hoping.) I certainly wouldn't check out Chinese Food Gallery if you're looking for an authentic experience, but if you're in the mood for some old-school, nostalgic eats, it certainly fits the bill.

Let's start with the food review Food 4/5 I was very impressed with the portion size for only $9.75 , it was a huge portion as mater of fact I had lunch and dinner with this portion size and i was full .I was also impressed with the quality for the most part , the meat was in generous large chunks unlike most Chinese places, I think there was a full chicken breast in my platter and good large chunks of pork with minimum breading .The lemon chicken was cooked perfectly in a very tasty lemon sauce . The sweet and sour pork was my only complaint hence not a higher score it was nice large size pieces but seemed it was over fried and it was hard to chew but the sweet and sour sauce was amazing , the chicken fried rice was cooked to perfection and seasoned really nicely , the perfect amount of moisture and not oily . If the pork was not overcooked it would of been perfection. Service 3/5 very typical Chinese service , I am giving this place a 3 only because the service should of been better but very typical of Asian service I waited almost 20 minutes for my food hence the lower score that is my only real concern with this place other then that the food was pretty impressive Chinese cuisine.
