My finger nails were VERY SORE when I left the shop. As the days went on they continued to feel very sore and sensitive. When the nails finally came off...because I wasn't going back to have them done again.. My nail beds were severely bruised and blood blisters were under my skin were these nails were. This was at least two weeks later. I didn't pull the nails off so it wasn't bruising from that. I have been getting my nails done for YEARS and that never happened to me before visiting this nail spa. I wouldn't recommend going there...which makes me very sad because I live within walking distance to this place.

Yes I have some callouses but she acted like she had never seen a callous before. Usually when someone does a pedicure they scrub a pound of dead skin off and here, she barely scrapped them. When the callous came a bit ragged she got nervous and wanted to leave it like that. It was only after encouraging her to try a file (since she didn't have a pumice stone) did she try to get rid of the jagged edges. The painting was also poorly done, I could tell she was trying but she has a bit of a tremor and got it isn't the cuticle creases. Also with the cuticles... Barely took any off-- (probably because didn't let the feet soak (at all really)- my pinky toe easily over grows with cuticle and it looks like she just painted over the cuticle debris. Yes I'm probably picky given that I live in southern California where they scrub and polish your feet till they shine (for only $18!) but it's really not much more device than if you were to do it at home. I can see why the Google review said she was rude as I didn't like here abrasive approach but I think overall she was kind. She also took time to do the foot massage and although I was annoyed by the male trying to convince me I didn't know what I was talking about by saying I don't like gel, I think he was really trying to be helpful. If you're not picky I'm sure it's fine but I'm currently tempted to go get them redone elsewhere...

I was warmly greeted by the sweet woman behind the register helping another guest. She helped me check in easily on their kiosk which took about a minute tops. I checked in as a full set, and she showed me to their nail polish area and guided me to their gel polish baskets. I expected to wait awhile! But about 5 minutes later, Amy came and told me she was ready for me! The service: Amy has clearly been doing nails a long time and has perfected her craft. After chatting with her I could also tell she has a real passion for her profession!! Next time she going to do some kitty designs on me! Am so excited for that! She says she does it all- powder dipped, designs you name it! She was SO FAST. Also I barely knew she was doing my nails. She has a very gentle touch and nothing hurt at any time ever. My 93 year old mo had a pedicure. $35 Kim went out of her way to be gentle and kind. It was so lovely to find someone who could communicate with mom and she enjoyed her service immensely. She also worked well on an ingrown toenail and did a better job than the podiatrist did. They used clean instruments and the salon was clean. I had a toenail and cut from a lady whose name I forgot but she was equally kind, did a great job and was very professional. $15. We live quite a distance from them but will definitely drive back for our next service.

Nothing wrong with the stares perhaps; at the same time, there is a difference between looking at someone briefly and staring someone down. Again, I received "stares." All in all, I would say the "vibe" from a third person perspective (specifically, my perspective) was othering. The only reason I left a one star review is because the person who did my nails was excellent at doing their job. As someone who enjoys getting their nails done, I am very well versed in acrylic nails and what I like in them. So the person (Noah) was meticulous and patient. I enjoyed that. Additionally, I really love the finished product - I did not provide a picture because I want to make sure my words are acknowledged first and foremost. At one point he got cuticle cutters, LOOKED AWAY, and ripped chunks of the fake nail off with them. It was excruciating!! One of my nails is cracked and bloody. I left and did not get my new set put on because my nails are so weak and broken now. However, Denise did an awesome job on my sisters nails. She said these are the best acrylics shes had.
