The people in this store are extremely rude. I accidentally bought the wrong size of a dress and…read morewent back the same day with the receipt to exchange it. I didn't want my money back but just exchange the dress for the correct size. When I tried to exchange it the manager (I'm assuming he was the manager because I heard him calling other branches and asking how much money they took in that day) then began to check every single stitch on the entire dress inside and out then he sniffed the arm pits and declared that I had obviously worn the dress and was trying to cheat him. When I requested to have my dress back he shoved it at me with the receipt and refused to give me back the bag I had brought it in with saying that it belongs to the store. I don't understand how a clothing store can do business like this but I do know that I will never set foot in a Pretty Girl store again. I don't care how cheap their clothes are, I still have some standards on how to treat people.

I really appreciate the selection: they carry everything from household items to groceries, and I often end up finding more than I originally came for. The staff is usually very friendly and willing to help point you in the right direction if you're looking for something specific. While a few of the stockers don't speak English fluently, they are always polite and do their best to assist. Overall, shopping here is always a positive experience, and the combination of affordability, variety, and cleanliness keeps me coming back again and again.

I used to do all my shopping online because the closest store was in NJ but now that one a Torrid store is open in the Bronx I will be shopping there more often. I just learn that shopping at Torrid online and sending the package to be picked up at the store is more economical than having it delivered at home, Torrid don't have a set shipping rate and I saved $32 in shipping which I spend in 2 items in the store that wasn't available online. I have always loved shopping at Torrid and I am excited they have a store in the Bronx, it would have been preferable if it would have been in the city but traveling all the way to Bay Plaza wasn't so bad.

I was given two half-zippered sweaters as a gift, Nice looking sweaters but the wrong size. I went to Portabella store to exchange for the same items or similar in the proper size. Since these were gifts I didn't have the original receipt, The giver lives in a different state so no way for me to get the receipt. I expected they could be discounted by now and expected to be credited only for the discount price so I was prepared to pay any differences in price. The salesperson in the Portabella Paramus store told me that I cannot exchange without a receipt. Mind you that these sweaters had all the appropriate Portabella tags. I advised her that these are gifts so I am not able to get the receipts, that I only want to exchange for a different size or item and was prepared to pay the difference in rice. The salesperson said there was nothing that she can do for me! After about 5 minutes of back-forth I realize I'm not going to get anywhere with this so I left the store. I wanted to leave the sweaters in the store as a point of protest but decided that I will just donate them. Terrible customer service Portabella; I will never shop in your stores!

Anyway im having a foot issue so its tricky. The owner was intent on selling me something no matter what. He even discount my boots from $125 to $80. Florsheim (oddly) so i took them after a walk around. The next day i wore them for a car ride to my niece's sons communion at their home. Took them off and changed literally five minutes later. No wear. They were rude and dismissive. I didnt expect a return but their sign says store credit. Aside from these boots it looks like all knock off low quality crap. Lesson learned No return
