We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

They no longer send photos to us as proof of walk and validation our dogs are happy. Rather than send photos to the owners, they take photos which are relayed back to corporate. I'm to believe this change is somehow beneficial to me? They have stated they no longer have the capacity to manually relay photos to clients, but ARE able to manually relay photos to corporation. A tad counterintuitive and certainly not focused on customer. They've also stated having a lock box at my house makes me more secure because they no longer hold onto keys. Sure, unless someone takes the box, their employees access my house after hours, etc...It's the same situation as before except more people have access to my keys than before. OH, and every update they give us online are EXACTLY the same day after day after day. Clearly, my dogs do not pee and poop the same number of times weeks in a row. They continue to insist clients love all their changes and fail to acknowledge any decrease in service as a result. It's "my perception," which clearly doesn't matter and is dismissed as a minority view rather than at all validated. What was once a good business has taken a hit. UPDATE: NO phone calls. No responses from the Dog Butlers. Having now talked to friends, found out they've dropped Austin Dog Butler.

They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public.

I didn't feel lost, but I just didn't have good direction. Who was I after the pandemic? Who had I always been? A romantic breakup didn't help things - I needed a great coach, and that great coach became Dylan. Working with Dylan was empowering: I felt like I was showing up for myself. He never made me feel like he was doing me a favor; he never acted like an armed forces superior; he never got annoyed, angry or pushy - he just listened, reflected, and was patient in everything we did. He's plenty humorous too - we had great laughs about everything under the sun. He voices a lot of the negative phrases we tell ourselves in the deep crevices in our minds - because he's been there, not because he's Buddha - there's a difference. His modules are also fantastic - they are agnostic as to anything subjective such as religion or politics - they are simple, English-language modules that are focused on the self, the brain, and your mission in life. However, don't let this simplicity fool you: they reach deep inside you and extract what you've been wanting to extract: your values, your mission, and your purpose. They are not, nor do they promise to be one-stop fixes - I have been through the modules a few times - I always uncover something new. Dylan doesn't consider this module repetition as any kind of failure or shortcoming: in fact, he encourages it. We are always changing - why not use the same methods to uncover new information? I did, and it worked (and still works) every time. On a banal, but still necessary level, I know myself more after working with Dylan. I have more material for cover letters and interviews. I am more confident in what I say at networking functions. But you and I both know that it doesn't stop there, right? Right. I know what my place is in the world, and maybe, what I am meant to do. That's a gift that keeps on giving. I've been able to pay it forward (no no no, not by forwarding Dylan's materials!) by reflecting other people's values back to them and asking them good questions. We all help each other - and it works. Dylan's extended program of accountability and tracking is a godsend - I have made so much more progress as a result. I am not just a clearer and more focused individual after my work with Dylan; I am a better person overall.

She called me back so fast and made it her personal mission to track down our building's maintenance guy and get a key to my apartment. We wanted to find a place that would mentally and physically engage Tucker without leaving him feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Dog School Austin has done that and more! He loves springing up the front stairs and waiting patiently at the gate. His tail doesn't stop wagging, and he's happy and relaxed when we pick him up. The only thing that would improve our experience would be if a few pictures of Tucker appeared on Dog School's facebook page. I know, I'm totally "that" person who likes to see pictures of my dogs online. Whatevs, haters can hate. We love Dog School Austin!

Super thorough and we felt really cared for and listened to. We needed a session asap, and as Rachel was all booked up for the week, we made an appointment for their other trainer Trish to come by for our hour-long training session at our apartment. (My evaluation was on a Saturday afternoon, and Trish was at our apartment on Monday--talk about a quick turnaround.) Trish was super friendly and got right down to business and asked us what we needed help with. Our big thing was crate training for our puppy, and so she helped us teach him how to start loving the big, scary thing. I couldn't believe how fast he was learning with her, and it was so fun to see him enjoying himself doing things I though it would take him forever to do. We went over a bunch more, and Trish even stayed a few minutes late to be sure all of my questions were answered. We talked about crate training, biting our hands while we played, safe ways to play tug, leash walking, how to help our pup not freak out when we leave the apartment--so much for just an hour! She even left us with a whole page of handwritten instructions for what we had learned. Overall, I was just so happy with everyone at Dog School. Super attentive, really responsive when setting up and appointment, etc., amazing with my dog, and overall they just really seemed to love what they do. Not to mention their training sessions are really reasonably priced. I am so glad we made an appointment, and I'm definitely going to schedule another in a few weeks for some more tips.

He is flexible when I need to change plans last minute and he clearly cares deeply about Noche. I've taken Noche to a few other boarding places and he always comes back with kennel cough (or seems a little rundown) - it's clear Noche has a good time at Doug's. And you can't beat the price!

My usual vet, who we have been seeing since adopting the cat almost 2 years ago, rudely dismissed my concerns over the phone and insisted that I needed to pay an $80 office visit fee just to get an answer to my question over the phone (the question was "What does the PCR panel test for?"). I started calling every other vet in Austin to find a clinic that has experience with Tritrichomonas and that I felt comfortable with. Several clinics admitted that they did not know what the parasite was or had never treated it before. Another lied and said "oh, that is super easy to treat and really common and straightforward!" which I knew was not accurate from the empirical literature online. I finally found Austin Urban Vet and the experience we have had so far has genuinely been night and day different from pervious clinics. From the very first call, the AUV team was empathetic to our situation, VERY transparent about pricing (they provided it in writing), and explicitly clear about which PCR diagnostic panel they use at AUV and exactly what it tests for. They were open and honest about their experience with Tritrichomonas and I immediately felt at ease and confident in the care that they could provide my cat. After chatting with my partner about my findings from calling almost every vet in Austin, we both agreed Austin Urban Vet was the best one to move forward with, so we made an appointment. Right off the bat, I was happy to find that AUV has a private parking lot (for free!). I headed inside with my cat and the team at the front desk was so kind and helpful. They quickly checked me in and invited me to grab a bottle of water or make myself a cup of coffee as I waited for the tech to take us into the room. We waited for maybe ~5 minutes before the tech took us to the exam room, where she scanned my cat for her microchip, weighed her, and asked questions about the presenting problem, history, etc. Dr. Helen was who attended us for the exam itself, and she was so kind and thorough. I really felt that she was providing genuine feedback, and she was honest about her experience with this parasite. She was transparent about the treatment plan and let me know her general thoughts (Ie., "If she is still positive, we will do X. If she is negative, we can try Y.") We are now waiting for the PCR results, but so far, I am so happy with our experience and feel confident that Dr. Helen will provide us with the best care possible.

We get updates every time she's with them, and she does extra things that go beyond her job, like help take care of our house when we are away... she adjust lights to make it look like someone is home at night, checks our mail (and separates it into helpful little piles :)). She personalizes her care and really gets to know your pets. If something doesn't seem right, she lets us know and is always willing to help! She has become part of our family, even though only our cats are the ones who see her regularly. She's the best. And has very reasonable prices too! Can't recommend her highly enough.
