The community here is welcoming and the facility is top notch. Co-owner Caitlin is a wonderful, energetic positive person that is open to bringing in yoga and mindfulness to her community. I highly recommend Fourth Street Annex.

Thank you for the awesome coaching!

I have…read morebeen very inconsistent with working out in my life but decided it was time to get back into it. I was a member of this Crunch gym about 5 years ago and it was just another gym. I didn't enjoy going and there was definitely nothing keeping me there and I stopped going. I decided earlier this year to give Crunch gym another chance because it's close to my home. I nervously walked in and the manager Trent was at the front. He is such a personable guy. After talking with me a few minutes about a personal training package I thought "why not?". I've never been able to achieve my goals on my own so I figured this was either gonna work or it wasn't. He set me up to meet with Ryan, the manager of the personal training dept. Ryan asked a lot of questions that you'd expect from someone you are about to embark on a personal training routine with. I could tell that Ryan really cared about me and my goals and wanted me to feel comfortable in the gym environment. We talked about the training plan that he would be putting in place for me. He's such a likeable guy and made me feel good about my decision to hire a trainer. Ryan is an amazing asset to this gym! Ryan set me up with trainer Richard, saying he'd be a good fit to reach my goals. Richard is incredible. He is made me feel totally at ease the minute I met him. Since I didn't work out that often, I was nervous that I'd be embarrassed about not knowing how to work the equipment or follow his instructions. But I never felt awkward or weird and Richard is a true professional. So good at his job yet kinda makes you feel like you're talking with a good friend. Probably the biggest surprise is the change in how I interact at the gym. I would usually come in, head down, headphones in, not make eye contact with anybody, do my workout and go home. But the people at Crunch are really wonderful! The front desk always says hello and I'm always greeted by name by Trent, Ryan and Richard. There's at least one, if not all 3, there most of the time. And the rest of the staff is great too! It sounds completely corny but they really make me feel welcome and like they are happy to see me. They talk to me like they've known me awhile, and even sometimes ask my opinion and feedback if I happen to be nearby and they are talking with another client. My only complaints (and reason for only 4 stars) is that several members seem to not know how to respectfully treat the weights and equipment, and sometimes drop the weights heavily to the ground, while others do not sanitize the equipment after they use it. They could also use some updated/ newer equipment.

UPDATE: My bank refunded the overcharge! And now I'm reporting them to all the consumer protection…read moreagencies. Make sure to get everything in writing. My email paper trail is why the bank sided with me. Crunch Long Beach acts like this because they getaway with it. Don't let them.

I consistently go to different locations with my franchise memberships. I always visit all the locations that are relatively close to me first, then consistently go to the ones I can get the best workout in. Over the years, I've gone to specific locations just for certain machines. It all applies to my goal of bodybuilding with peak efficiency. I'm at a point in my lifting journey where I can replicate movements with any machine available. I'm focused on finding the most comfortable environment now, where I can workout in peace, and truly dive deep into my craft. I love having people around me when I workout, don't get me wrong...I always prefer that. But I have a lot of experience having to deal with ego-driven members who feel the need to try and negatively affect my session. It's been happening to me just about every workout my entire gym journey. And I go twice a day, every day. Until Club Studio came along! Praise The Lord! This Club Studio is truly a Blessing from God, and it perfectly aligns with my spiritual journey. EVERY team/gym member has been so welcoming, genuinely friendly, respectful, polite, caring, motivating, considerate, and supportive. I've never felt this relaxed and peaceful at a gym. I can finally close my eyes and meditate/lift without worrying about anything. I'm just so grateful to have joined this gym. It's incredibly clean, always fully stocked with supplies, and very organized. The music is always playin' bangaz too! Lolol got me dancin' like David! If you know you know (big wink)! Looking forward to building relationships with all you guys! Are youuuu rrrready?

This place did not disappoint! The equipment was top-notch, the locker room was clean, and the overall gym atmosphere was great. Even better, the day pass was free, which was a huge plus! They also have a juice bar with some really good drinks, making it a nice spot to grab something refreshing after a workout. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the gym itself, was the parking situation. With the construction going on, parking was a bit of a mess. The construction also took away from the impact of the beautiful views the gym boasts from its top floor, which was a little unfortunate. As a frequent gym-goer, I really appreciated what Iconix had to offer. Between the quality of the equipment, the clean facilities, and the amenities, it's a gym I'd absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to work out while visiting Long Beach. I'd definitely come back again!

tbh these reviews are dragging it…read more the equipment is great and a lot of it works fine, and if ones busted, they have several duplicate machines and also alternative equipment for that workout. it's honestly not THAT packed. I went on a saturday around 11 AM and it just looked like what a normal commercial gym looks like, a lot of people. Long beach doesn't have a lot of very nice commerical gyms anymore especially since 24HR shut down, so I understand why it's a bit busier. Plenty of machines and equipment were open and the people are cooperative with times. There will always be an issue with time, crowding, and people in gyms, but everyone in the reviews are exaggerating it. I've visited many gyms, switched recently from another gym, and yet EOS looks like every other gym to me. However my issue is that the girl at the front desk. The rest of the crew is pretty nice and they even gave me some freebies and were super helpful when signing up! The girl at the front desk refused to give me a try out day pass when I was interested in signing up because, "I had already visited before" ( which was back when Gold's gym was open ) and wasn't really talking or helping me much. I was very confused as to why or what to do. Luckily the people who organize the memberships were super nice in helping me.

Overall Rating: (4/5)…read more The Pros: Equipment, Vibe, and Amenities Having trained for 20 years and worked as a personal trainer in countless facilities over the years, I can be pretty picky when it comes to gym equipment, layout, and overall vibe. This spot genuinely delivers. The gym features a fantastic mix of equipment brands--since every company builds machines a bit differently, having that variety is a huge plus. You'll find specialized pieces here that simply don't exist at standard commercial gyms, and the dumbbells go all the way up to 150 lbs. If I owned a gym myself, this is the exact setup and energy I'd build: *Bodybuilder-Friendly: They have a dedicated posing room, which makes tracking progress photos super convenient. *Content-Creator Welcoming: It's an influencer-heavy spot. They'll lend you a tripod, and if you tag them on Instagram, they repost your stories to help you grow your following. *Great Amenities: Free towel service, private bathrooms with showers, lockers, and an outdoor lifting area that opens at 7 AM. *Third-Party Extras: There's a barbershop right inside the gym and space set aside for wellness vendors (looks like IV/peptide/vitamin infusions). *Bonus Perks: They offer a sauna, Pilates room/classes, and a run club. I don't use those, but it's cool that they offer them. Parking is always easy, and the music stays fresh since it varies depending on who is working. The Drawbacks: Price Point and Staff Turnover The primary reason for the 4-star rating comes down to the price. I was lucky enough to join early and lock in a $50/month rate. However, the current membership has shot up over $200/month. Even with my background, it's hard to justify paying over $200 a month for ANY gym membership. Additionally, the staff can be hit-or-miss, mostly because they seem to suffer from high employee turnover. Timing Note: I train very early at 5 AM, so I beat the rush, though I imagine it gets fairly packed after 6 AM once the peak crowd rolls in. Final Verdict: If you are serious about lifting, love making content, or want top-tier equipment variety, you'll love it here. Just be ready for the premium price tag if you didn't catch the early-bird rate.

Background I was a…read moremulti-event endurance athlete who trained and raced competitively for nearly three decades. I'm now 65 years-old and still pursue challenging health and fitness maintenance goals. Weekly, my aerobic (i.e., cardio) exercise consists of four different cycling days and a total of 100-140 miles ridden, and three different days of 2-hour sessions of anaerobic (i.e., strength) exercise primarily using heavy barbells and dumbbells. I've maintained fitness gym memberships for the past 47 years, and have never experienced a "one-size-fits-all" facility and amenities that met all of my needs. Consequently, I use multiple gyms on a weekly basis, which includes this Anytime Fitness (AF) gym in Long Beach (LB). AFLB is a gem and an outlier given its distinct quality differences when comparing local area gyms. AFLB | Environment I intuitively feel or see sought-after quality differences in this gym's environment, which is more private, personalized, clean, comfortable, calm, quiet, and uncrowded. Member common areas are exceptionally orderly and hygienic, including the well-maintained, single use only, unisex restrooms and/or shower rooms. The environment reflects a truly optimized, compact space design whose systems/functions/features are thoughtfully integrated and organized, which ensures an efficient and effective use of my time and energy. This environment feels like it's my personal gym, so I feel significantly more committed, disciplined, and focused and therefore more productive, which aren't routine experiences for me as a member of multiple other fitness gym brands. AFLB | Equipment Members will generally find enough equipment in this gym to achieve many different cardio and/or strength objectives. The equipment available is modern in design/features/functions, in excellent condition, and well-maintained. I've never seen any equipment designated for repair and therefore not available for use. AFLB | Culture Management and/or members generally demonstrate respect for this facility and the amenities provided given the routine quality conditions and productivity I've experienced when using this gym. Other members proceed through their fitness regimens in a disciplined and focused manner, so they facilitate the benefits of an efficient and effective use of my time and energy too. There's an atmosphere or a vibe whereby member actions or behaviors honor respect for people principles: floor space and/or equipment isn't monopolized by others; floor space isn't cluttered by personal items, equipment, or left behind debris/trash, and instead is readily available, shared, and clean; equipment is used, then wiped down, and left in a ready state for the next member's use; after member use, equipment is placed back in an orderly, organized, and safe manner; and single use only, unisex restrooms and/or shower rooms are generally left in a tidy and sanitary state. There is an accountability vibe whereby management and members embrace or accept personal ownership for 1) a respectful use of the facility and amenities provided and 2) respect for people principles. AFLB | Special Needs Individuals Requiring a Modified Environment and Exercise or Training This fitness gym has a unique volume of different equipment that I've also seen in physical therapy or rehabilitation services environments. Given the different equipment types available, and the distinct quality differences I described for this gym's environment, I would also recommend this gym for those who require a modified environment for exercise or training. Individuals with physical limitations or disabilities, those who must modify functional training exercises to enhance daily living skills, or others using cardio and/or strength training for rehabilitation purposes should consider a membership in this gym.

I know that have that little hip thrust "helper" thing where you load your barbell and use it to lie your back on, but no actual machine. ever since I started using a machine for hip thrusts, the workout has been much easier so that's why I'm all for those machines now lol. but all in all this is still one of the better AF locations.
