    So I finished 12 sessions. It was vey hard at first cause I haven't use equipment in decades. OJ was my trainer and during the 12 sessions I lost 6 pounds (gained 2 back during the holidays lol). I didn't change my diet drastically tbh, I watched a bit more what I was eating and pace myself with the sweets and drunk more water. Having someone push me is what I need right now, if I got a gym membership I wouldn't be going. I like that we work different areas and muscles, I can feel my arms getting stronger. I can feel getting tone as well. It's good that we does push me and go over technique. Also, there are not so many people working out at the same time, I get gym shy lol. I don't like looking at myself in the mirror at the gym. I look at my chubby areas and makes me uncomfortable and sad. I should of never let it come this far, happy I am doing something about it. I did sign up for more sessions. Highly recommended, specially if you are look to create a productive habit. The patrons and the other trainers are really cool and good vibes. This is a very nice place. My job is a but unpredictable when it comes to scheduling , and we were able to work out the perfect times. When I was at work, I was actually able to lift the heavier boxes. All the guys were quite impressed calling me muscles lol. If you are ready for a life upgrade, this is your place!!!

Previously, the…read moreonly working out I did was cardio, and didn't appreciate or understand the importance of weights and core exercises. Therefore, my frustration was that I would do a lot of cardio, such as spinning classes, but I wouldn't see any difference in my body. Training with Roger taught me the importance of balance in a workout routine. This included cardio but pairing it up with weights and core exercises to round out my workout routine. Lack of confidence was a big issue with me where I was worried that I would be judged because I didn't know how to work out correctly. Roger is a great trainer in that he was able to show me how to improve my posture when working out without feeling like I am being judged. Roger's personality is personable, patient, and easy going. He is a professional and it is evident that he has mastered his craft and enjoys training his clients. He does a great job in pushing clients to achieve more in each session but also knows when to pull back by remaining engaged on how the client feels on the day. In the event someone is debating whether or not to work with him, I would encourage them to sign up with Roger. I would explain my hesitation in the beginning, where I was worried whether I would be judged or if I would even learn the routines to see results. Personally, those fears were put to rest from the first session, and I have certainly learned a lot about working out, gained confidence, and have seen the results.

As a result, I went on the hunt for a Personal Trainer who could motivate me to reach my goals. My search led me to the Jaycromero Fitness location here in Long Beach! As a result of my research and finding him on Thumbtack, I got in touch with him. The fact that he specialized in fat loss, muscle building, strength training, and more was the most appealing feature for me. A consultation and assessment of your fitness are included with all new inquiries so Jay and you can come up with a plan. Parking: Near the gym, there is a free parking lot on 5th and Pine that offers two-hour parking for free. Considering a session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, parking is never a problem, and the parking lot is usually empty. Gym: The gym is called Self Made and it is located in downtown Long Beach. Gyms can be intimidating at first, but one thing I like about them is that everyone is there with their trainer helping them make their goals a reality, and removing the intimidation that comes with being new. Fitness equipment in the gym includes resistance bands, treadmills, free weights, battle ropes, rowing machines, and even a boxing ring. You'd be surprised at how much more they have than you think. When you don't have time to prepare your meals and are in a hurry, you can order from their small meal service. Jay Personal Trainer: My first step was to text Jay after I arrived at the gym, as only members were allowed to access the gym. To make it even better, if you are working with a trainer, you do not need to pay for gym memberships. All you need to pay for is Jay's training services! I was immediately at ease when Jay opened the door and welcomed me with a smile. In addition to introducing himself, Jay explained his experience and the background of his company. Just the two of us went to a small area where we discussed my overall goals and what I wanted to gain from the experience. As a result, we performed a short workout to determine my fitness level, and I have to tell you, it was very low. Jay, however, was beyond supportive. His approach was to get down on my level and tell me it's day one, and that everyone starts somewhere. After working with Jay for almost two weeks now, I can see a difference in my energy, confidence, and overall gym feeling. The workouts he designs are tailored to my abilities, and he challenges me consistently! As someone who is just getting back into working out, he motivates me and pushes me past my limits while understanding my physical limitations. Mela Plan: In addition to personal training, Jay provides meal plans, and even if one doesn't agree with you, mine was grapefruit, we work together to find an acceptable replacement. Remember, it is a lifestyle change, so you will not get everything you want! As part of his meal plan, Jay also uses an app to document your progress, take pictures, and add to your meal plan. Moreover, Jay will be available for any questions or concerns you may have about using this app.  In conclusion, if you're looking for a trainer, Jaycromero Fitness is the right choice! The gym and locker room has gotten increasingly dirty. Never clean towels, the shampoos and soap dispensers are always empty. Constantly out of razors, washcloths, q-tips and all the other things they show you when you first take the tour. They shut off the steamroom early and start packing up the gym hours before they close which is super uncomfortable while you are still trying to use equipment. The staff is usually gossiping at the front desk or sitting in the laundry room on their phones. They used to have a great member party every year, but haven't had it the last few years. It really seems like they have funneled all their money into the LA and Nashville location and don't care at all about the original members at their Long Beach Location. I"m finally making the move to Club Studio cause this place has continued to get worse and worse.
