It also sells other foods such as breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and dog cookies. My husband and I shopped in this bakery one time. An employee immediately and kindly greeted us. It was a late morning on a Saturday, and the display cases were mostly stocked with baked goods. Unfortunately, the display cases had no signs to indicate what the baked goods were, so I felt unsure of what some of them were. I recommend that the bakery add signs with the names of the baked goods. I chose a cookie (5 stars) and a bear claw (4.5 stars). The total price was a few dollars including a tip. I have no idea what exact flavors they were! Perhaps I should have asked the employee. But they tasted great! If you want to eat here, some indoor tables and chairs were available.

A Gem Outside of Pittsburgh!…read more Just a short note of gratitude for Andrea and her team at Flour & Sugar Cakery in Seven Fields. I was so grateful to have discovered this amazing custom cakery just outside of Pittsburgh. My daughter had just begun her freshman year at Pitt and was celebrating her 19th birthday away from us and our home in NY for the first time. She had a vision for her cake, and I was so fortunate to find this gem of a bakery and its outstanding staff. Andrea and her team understood my daughter's vision for the cake inside and out and really hit it out of the park. It was exactly what she had envisioned and the attention to detail was amazing. While I didn't get to taste it myself, I heard from the many who did! The custom cookies-and-cream filling with yellow cake and fudge layering was described as "the best cake they ever tasted." I think that says it all! Well done, guys, and thank you for helping make my daughter's birthday away from home that much more special. I truly appreciated all the care and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

The store has three cases inside filled with cookies, decorated waffles, cupcakes, cakes, donuts and a few other things. Two ladies were inside and the one greeted me asking if I was looking for anything in particular. After looking in the cases and asking what the first two cupcakes were, I decided I could get one chocolate with delicious chocolate icing and one peanut butter chocolate. When in doubt- choose the cupcakes! Both were very delicious and slightly different. The peanut butter icing was EPIC. Such a sweet, nutty flavor but not overkill sweetness. The cupcake was tasty but not as moist as I expected. It had a delicious chocolate icing filling in it which made a fun surprise when cutting inside. The chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing was more moist (perfect moisture actually) and the icing on top was fun with the chocolate shavings! I think I loved the peanut butter icing most with the moisture of the chocolate cupcake from the chocolate icing one. I'd love to note that the lady asked me if I had been before and I told her no, it was my first time. She told me these cupcakes are on her - which I couldn't believe and SO appreciated this sweet gesture. Overall, I'd be interested in getting their items again. I also plan to ask what the staple is next time I go, as I feel like all places have one thing they are dying to rave about. This seems like a small business worth supporting!

Instead of the usual heavy, dense frosting, it had a soft yet still wonderfully creamy without being too heavy.
