I was away for a week recently and Rich came and sat with my dogs. He treated them and my apartment with great care. He even indulged my neurosis by calling me while I was away to let me know my boys were fine. I'm sorry if the poster's "friend" had a bad experience, but I have to agree with Zach, its a little suspicious, I'm wondering if maybe its not just a shameless plug (pug?) for another service. I've never once had an issue with GL. Love them. Highly recommend them to everyone.

From the outset, Joan's communication was thorough, professional, and thoughtful. Her friendly demeanor instantly put the dogs (and us) at ease. Upon our return, the house is always tidy and organized and the dogs calm and happy. When a drippy faucet threatened a catastrophic kitchen flood during our absence, Joan didn't miss a beat in informing us, documenting the issue, and addressing it matter-of-factly as if it were part of her job. Having tried several in-home pet care services in the area, none comes close to Fuzzy Friends. Thank you, Joan!

I love the professionalism of Joan and her sister, Joyce. I love the notes and feedback. And I love that my dog is so excited to see them (and he's not an excitable guy) when we run into them around town. Years ago I had a bad critter sitter experience; I came home to a cat that was howling in distress, hair all over my house that he had shed from stress, hungry, and just completely despondent. It broke my heart. When I come home from a trip and Joan has been on watch?.....the pets are happy to see me, but they're calm and clearly happy. I get the sense she cares for them as if they were her own.

The facilities are clean and well-lit, so I immediately felt safe about leaving him. Sandy Paws also offers a BYOD wash, I think that's super awesome, although I haven't taken advantage of this service yet. Please be specific of what kind of cut you want for your loved dog! I read other reviews where people complained, if you don't specify, it does not help anyone's case. We usually get a puppy cut/trim for Chewie, I find that he looks his best like this. Anything shorter, he looks like a chihuahua LOL. Show the groomer a photo! Call ahead as they're usually booked in advanced. You'll quickly see why. They also sell a variety of treats, dog harnesses, poop bags, the works! After looking around the shop, and possibly grabbing a bite to eat next door, they'll give you a call and let you know that your little fur baby is good to go! We always get Chewie back smelling fantastic, tail wagging, and a cute little seasonal bandana. Our pup is happy, and we are happy. if you need a daycare, look no further because this is the best one…read more I was leaving on a two week vacation and, very last minute, the person who was watching my one-year-old puppy (Lexapro, Lexi for short) bailed on me. I was absolutely frantic trying to find a daycare for her. I sent a message to mcgrupps, and got an almost immediate response from the owner, Megan. She walked me through the steps of what I would need to do in order to board my pup and got me in very quickly to do an assessment. My dog is very anxious and Megan and the staff knew exactly how to handle her. They answered all of my questions and helped me feel at ease about leaving my dog for the first time. While I was away, the wonderful staff posted pictures of my dog every day on Instagram so that I could see what she was up to, which made me feel so much more at ease. I even called for an update a couple of times (crazy dog mom, i know) and the staff were so kind and took her time to talk to me about my girl. When I came to pick her up, she was bathed and ready to go. Being at the daycare, I can see that Lexi has opened up and made tons of friends. She didn't even need her anxiety medication because of how well she was taken care of. I couldn't be more grateful and I am so excited to have a reliable daycare to send Lexi to whenever I need it. thank you mcgrupps!!!!

I want to call out one employee, Lois, who I have had the pleasure of dealing with on multiple occasions regarding my dogs' issue with Lyme disease and some of the negative side effects it can have. Lois answers phones and also mans the front desk and is extraordinary with regard to attention to detail. She has my MVP vote and is the primary reason I am upgrading my review. She takes the time to understand what issue or concern you may have when you call, she takes actions to consult with the vets on your behalf and she will call you back with feedback you may need to make a decision regarding care or examination. What more can you ask for? P.s. Just found out they have used cat and small pet carriers that have been donated that you can buy with a $10.00 donation. Lois happened to be the person who took my call inquiring about the carriers and took the time to put one aside for me that was just the right fit I needed to hold two cats without me even asking her to do that!

I don't want anyone or their pets have to go through what we went through. If I had to choose one word to describe my experience with this hospital, "abhorrent" would still feel inadequate.DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. THEY DO NOT TAKE FEEDBACK IN FACT THEY WILL DOUBLE DOWN HOW NOTHING IS THEIR FAULT AND BLAME YOU. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. I would not recommend bringing your pets to this hospital. My experience has been incredibly upsetting, and when I raised serious concerns about my pets' care, communication, and follow-up, those concerns were not properly addressed and there was zero accountability from the hospital. My cat Pumpkin passed away under horrible conditions while under their care. What has been especially disappointing is how far my experience felt from the values this hospital and its corporate organization publicly claim to uphold. In my experience, those stated commitments to compassion, communication, trust, and quality care were not reflected in how my concerns or my pets' ongoing needs were handled. Even after asking specific questions about ongoing care for my cats, Lydia and Lilith, I was left without clear answers to several important medical follow-up questions, and I was told to go to another hospital while my cats are in active treatment. Because of the seriousness of my concerns and how this situation has been handled, I am filing formal complaints with the Massachusetts veterinary licensing board and National Veterinary Associates (NVA). Pet owners deserve clear communication, appropriate follow-up, compassion, and accountability when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Please consider all other options prior to choosing this hospital. In my humble opinion the practice should be shut down all together.
