Wow, I'm really surprised about the other review on here. We have used Jen and Donna at Heads and…read moreTails as our pet sitter for our cat for the past two years and have found them to be fairly priced and extremely trustworthy and reliable. One of the best things is that they offer free consultations for new customers where they come over to your house and meet you and your pet. Most companies charge for this initial visit. The pricing was not at all inconsistent and was very fair based on some comparisons I did before hiring them. $13 for weekdays, $18 for weekends, and $25 for holidays. Additionally, they didn't change who was coming to our house each time. It was always Jen and she did a fantastic job. Milo definitely got to know her and felt comfortable with her. The first time we left him he somehow locked himself in our room and pooped on our bed. Jen called us right away and even tried to clean it up as best she could. Ever since they've been consistently available to us, even at short notice and after every round of visits Jen would leave us a note telling us how Milo behaved. Donna works the business end of things and was always very quick to respond by email. They are flexible with the payment too. You can pay by credit card online or they can invoice you afterwards and you can send them a check. Now we're moving to the North Shore and I'm totally going to miss Heads and Tails! They've been great. I'd highly recommend them to anyone!

From the outset, Joan's communication was thorough, professional, and thoughtful. Her friendly demeanor instantly put the dogs (and us) at ease. Upon our return, the house is always tidy and organized and the dogs calm and happy. When a drippy faucet threatened a catastrophic kitchen flood during our absence, Joan didn't miss a beat in informing us, documenting the issue, and addressing it matter-of-factly as if it were part of her job. Having tried several in-home pet care services in the area, none comes close to Fuzzy Friends. Thank you, Joan!

I love the professionalism of Joan and her sister, Joyce. I love the notes and feedback. And I love that my dog is so excited to see them (and he's not an excitable guy) when we run into them around town. Years ago I had a bad critter sitter experience; I came home to a cat that was howling in distress, hair all over my house that he had shed from stress, hungry, and just completely despondent. It broke my heart. When I come home from a trip and Joan has been on watch?.....the pets are happy to see me, but they're calm and clearly happy. I get the sense she cares for them as if they were her own.

I adopted Bishop through Greyhound Pets of America. This group works tirelessly to place former…read moreracing greyhound into loving homes. Firstly, greyhounds are great pets. They are very different from your average dog. Basically, they are lazy loafers. Some might say that their indoor personality is more cat-like than dog-like. They are very sensitive and sweet. They appreciate all the love you give them. The also appreciate a soft bed and a good snooze. One of the reasons I went with GPA after doing my research was because they foster the dogs before giving them to you. Other groups take dogs right from the track and kennel them until you come and save them. This group takes them into homes. When racing greyhounds come off the track, they are pretty confused. They don't know anything about living with people. They've never been pet. They've never climbed stairs, or seen a TV. They don't know what children are. It helps that the folks at GPA get the learning process going. They also get the vet stuff taken care of, even nursing a broken leg or toe. (At the track a minor injury could be a death sentence.) GPA holds an open house once a month where you can come and meet the available dogs. They also do show and tell things at some local pet stores/malls. The folks are wonderful and very helpful along the way. Before I could pick out my dog, I had to meet with them to ensure my home was going to work, and that I was a good dog owner. Yes, I guess it was an interview. They are serious about keeping the dogs safe and sending them to loving homes. Total cost to me wasa $150 donation (if I recall correctly). They are non-profit. It takes a little bit of understanding to teach the greyhound the way once you get one home, but they get it pretty quickly. As the months go by, they learn to relax, and the personality really comes out of them. They are funny. They can be stubborn. They think they are lapdogs, which at 70 pounds, can be hysterical. While you are comfortably spread out in your bed, the greyhound will climb up and curl into the smallest available space. By morning, the positions will be reversed. Bishop has been a great pet, a good buddy for a long time now. If you've ever thought about adopting a greyhound, contact GPA. I used the folks in central NH, but there are chapters everywhere. There are plenty of other adoption groups as well.... Yes this review is shameless. It's like reviewing your children.

If I could give Yappy's 1000 stars, I would. I have a 1 year old mini bernedoodle named Rocco and…read morehave bringing him to Yappy's since he was fully vaccinated. They have been helping me care for him and raise him and I couldn't be more grateful. The team at Yappy's is unbelievable. Rocco is a maniac 98% of the time and they are so patient with him. Every person I have met at Yappy's is truly amazing. Always smiling, they treat the dogs so well, they are just a genuinely great team who really care about the pups. I ask Rocco "do you want to go to the playhouse?!" and he does a little dance and can't wait to get into the car. He knows where he is the moment we pull into the parking lot and can't pull away from me fast enough once he's leashed and we go up the stairs into the building. The facility itself is big! They have several separate areas indoors for the different groups of dogs and they rotate bringing them outside to the fenced in turf area to do their business or enjoy the weather and play around. In the summer they put out a couple of kiddie pools for the dogs to play in. It's also super clean considering how many dogs they care for daily. For daycare, they separate the dogs by at least size so he's not in a group with dogs 5x his size. They post so many videos, reels, and pictures on their social medias and it's the cutest thing you've ever seen. All of the dogs are so happy and enjoying their time for sure. For sleepovers, when he was super young, I would drop off his crate and requested he be crated at night so he could continue to have the same structure as home and get used to the crate and they were great about it. A few times after that, I just dropped it off and asked for it to be left open as an option for him if he wanted it and if he could be put in his own space at night and they were super supportive. Now, I don't even bother dropping the crate off and he gets to sleep and hang with the other pups for a fun sleepover! They have a separate bedroom on site where a person will stay with all the sleepover guests overnight so there is always someone with the pups 24/7. Of course Rocco makes himself right at home and gets up on the bed right against the person staying over with them on his back with all 4 paws in the air haha. They will groom him or give him a bath before I pick him up especially after a longer stay. You can email or call Yappy's and they have an awesome app you download to your phone, you upload all of your pet's information and health records, and you can book your daycare and sleepover appointments right in the app. You pick your days and dropoff and/or pickup time. It shows pending at first and then confirmed if they have a spot open or waitlist if they are full but sometimes they have cancellations day of so a spot could open up. The owner, Kathy, also texts so anytime I need something or she has an update about Rocco, she will text (or call in an emergency of course). The communication is amazing! Also in the app is all of the pricing including daycare and sleepover packages you can purchase in bulk for a discount. They are so attentive to the dogs. One time Rocco threw up a foreign object and they texted me immediately and sent me a picture of what he threw up. It was just a piece of his bully stick he had the day before that wasn't digesting thankfully but they were so great about it. Another time they texted me because they noticed his nails were a little on the longer side. He had just been groomed a few weeks prior but they didn't cut them short enough so Yappy's took care of it for me. I was away when his first birthday arrived and they spoiled him rotten and sent me the cutest pictures. For holidays, they will dress the pups up and take adorable pictures to take home with you. I can't say enough amazing things about Yappy's and highly recommend them! Rocco and I are so thankful!
