I went to this nail salon on July 23rd. It was a last minute appointment for me but they had enough openings. I needed a pedicure done so bad and given their yelp review I trusted this place. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed walking out of here. I posted a final photo of the work done on my toes as you can see how messy and and honestly just not good work at all. The person who did my nails was a male Vietnamese guy. Honestly, I was so annoyed by the end of it because he was cleaning the sides of my nails and since he was so busy talking literally cut my skin cause he was using the tool and looking behind him while talking to everyone else. I also had to ask him to clean the sides of my nails just so its not filled with skin that he had already cut up. So when he applied the nail polish I waited to see what else he was going to do because I can see how messy it was. Once it was dry the picture below was the result of this mediocre work. I think they're only good for their manicure which I haven't tried but it appears that's majority of their photos on their yelp.

A Truly Exceptional Nail Salon - Rie & Peter Are a Must! This was my first time coming here, and I'm honestly so impressed that I need everyone to know about this place. The moment I walked in, the whole atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. It's rare to find a salon where you instantly feel comfortable, but this one truly feels like a place that cares. I had Rie for my hands and Peter for my pedicure, and both of them exceeded every expectation I had. Rie - Hands/Nails Rie was absolutely amazing. She spent real time talking to me about my nails--my habits, what I struggle with, what I prefer--so she could help me care for my nails long-term, not just for the day. That alone stood out to me. Her technique is incredibly gentle, precise, and detail-oriented. Nothing felt rushed. She paid close attention to shape, length, and symmetry, and made sure I loved each step before moving on. One thing I really appreciated: the tips she put on feel like my real nails. No heaviness, no bulkiness, no thick edges. They feel light, natural, and perfectly blended. I actually kept touching them because I couldn't believe how natural they felt. It's the best and cleanest application I've ever had. Peter - Pedicure Peter was just as impressive. He was: * Extremely thorough with calluses and cuticles * Gentle but effective * Very attentive and made sure I was comfortable the whole time My feet feel soft, refreshed, and genuinely cared for--not rushed through like at most places. The polish application and massage were perfect. Overall Experience The biggest difference here is that they truly take their time. Not one moment felt rushed or overlooked. Everything was done with intention, patience, and care. The overall vibe was: * Easy-going * Relaxing * Warm * Detail-focused I walked out feeling pampered, valued, and honestly amazed at how beautiful and natural everything looked. Would I Recommend Them? Absolutely YES. If you want: * Natural-feeling tips that look and feel like real nails * A nail tech who genuinely cares about the health of your nails (ask for Rie!) * A pedicure that's detailed, gentle, and leaves your feet baby-soft (ask for Peter!) * A salon with amazing energy and zero rushing Then this is the place you need to go. I'm already planning my next appointment.

It was a weekday evening and I needed a last minute pedicure. My friend recommended Anna Nails. I walked in without an appointment and was able to be helped immediately. I think they must only offer one type of pedicure. I just got whatever was the basic kind. It included all the basic manicure things. One thing that was different than I've had at other salons: they did the massage after putting on the nail polish. Not what I'm used to, but I appreciate the efficiency and getting a massage while I waited for my nail polish to dry. I was helped by Peter. He kept the conversation going and did everything quickly and efficiently. The regular (not gel) nail polish has stayed on pretty well even after a couple of weeks including some trips to the beach. Price is pretty on par with other nail salons at ~$30-40 for a pedicure. This is located on the main street in Castro Valley so parking can be tough. You can park in the neighborhood around the corner if you don't find a parking on the street up front.

I've been looking for a Nail Salon and after reading all the great reviews I decided to try them out on my birthday. I was welcomed with smiles as soon as I walked in. I loved the look of the place . The pedicure chairs were amazing and so comfortable. The bubbling water was just the right temperature. The chair gave my back a nice massage . I was given the best pedicure I've ever had! I'm sad I didn't get the nice woman's name who worked on me . I could tell she had alot of experience . She massaged all the soreness away in my feet and legs . I cant wait until my nails grow so I can go back and get another pedicure. I highly recommend Anna Nails.

This place is just fabulous! I found them when I first moved to the area, and they are more affordable than other local places, which is huge for me as someone who went back to school full-time and has to work a little less. Plus, everyone that has done my nails here has been truly wonderful. They're clean and bright and at a convenient, accessible location. I do have to give an extra shout out to Ri, though. If you haven't seen her yet, you're seriously missing out. She's not just insanely talented--meticulous, precise, and does your nails exactly how you want--she's also one of the kindest, most personable people you could meet. I got Cat Eye nails this time, and even though the photos are almost two weeks old (so they don't look quite as perfect as they did fresh out of her chair), they were absolutely stunning when she finished. Seriously though, they were flawless -- trust me! I told her they were the most beautiful my nails have ever looked. She even did a heart on my ring finger as you can see in the photos. They also have builder gel, so your nails stay strong and gorgeous for weeks. Ri is so fun to chat with, makes the entire appointment relaxing, and she's amazing at waxing too--so you can literally get pampered from head to toe in one visit. Honestly, I leave every appointment feeling so confident and polished. Ri's talent, care, and personality make her a total must-see, and you'll leave absolutely loving your nails. I came in for the first time to this location. Looking at my nails I got I think they could've been a lot better for what I paid. The shaping of the nails are very un even. Some parts of my nail have no product and they just look over all not nice. I will say that the employees are very kind her but I think the person that helped me out to do my hands could've done a way better job... I did get a pedicure that was pleasant and came out nice which is why I am not leaving a one star review. I am to the point where I'll probably have to get them redone because they are not nice.

As I state below, I love this salon! Here's another reason: When I told them I wanted my toe nails done in Barbie Pink because my 11 year old grand daughter asked me if I could do them that way, how could I refuse?!? At that point,the whole salon got in on the scene and provided all the good positive vibes , and my grand daughter was ecstatic! So worth it! I LOVE ANNA NAILS! And my grand daughter, Lina!

Went to Anna's nails for a new set as mine were easily breaking. They recommended the GelX. I absolutely love how natural and light they are. The color is beautiful. One thing about these upstanding women they enjoy their jobs. With that being said genuine is an understatement, Mary which is who does my pedicure is very gentle & detailed. Anna who is the owner is also very kind while serving you she also has great phone etiquette which I believe is important for business owners in 2025. Although i mentioned two reference names anybody you get in this shop is quite pleasant actually these women work really hard to make sure the ladies as well as men are pleased. read more

Fun fact about Anna Nails: it's a family business and women owned by Ana herself! I've been there a few times and while this place is a little small, the customer service is great and everyone at Anna nails treats you like family. It's hard to find places that genuinely care about the service they provide and so I'm telling everyone about this nail shop. I met Anna briefly last time. I didn't have an appointment and desperately need to get my nails done for a wedding as I was a bridesmaid. They took me without an appointment and executed my nail design flawlessly. I got a French tip with gel x. I'll definitely be back for a visit. Update I most recent visit in November read more

I discovered this fantastic place when my nails all broke, shortly after a gel manicure. I was amazed how great they looked after my 1st manicure at Anna's. Now I continue to get compliments from friends as well as perfect strangers about my nails. I always feel welcome and cared for. While I get pedicures less often, I was amazed how Rie fixed a toe nail that is permanently damaged. It's like family pampering me. I highly recommend this place. Anna's nails is a great nail salon I discovered in Castro Valley and never looked for another. Anna and the entire team are so friendly and whether you're going for a manicure or pedicure or both you won't be disappointed. From the outside it looks small but there are 5 nail stations and 5 pedicure chairs. You can do walk-ins but I recommend calling first or making an appointment as they do get booked up quickly. Large selection of polishes and if you want to try something different they're able to handle design choices. On Pinterest I saw a French manicure with neon tips and wanted to try something similar just not neon. Anna was great at helping pick the colors that work together. read more

Welcoming environment. I called and I was able to get booked for that same day. When I walked in I was sited whiting 2-5 minutes. 4 stars are due to promptness and friendliness. 1 star to the actual cleaning of the nails. I feel that as a customer my favorite part is the cuticle removal and the cleaning of ingrown toenails. Both the pedicure and manicure were done in 25 minutes. I came close to closing time (6pm, they close at 7) and maybe that's why it felt extremely rushed. No massage on my feet and the scrub was probably just a few seconds. I came in for a gel manicure + gel pedi. The total price was $70 + tip read more

I had never been here before, called for a last-minute same-day appointment and they were able to fit me in 1hr before closing. Nail tech was extremely knowledgeable and taught me so much from my first visit despite me having my nails done at other places for YEARS. She took the time to make sure every single detail was how I liked, and did not rush despite it being closing time, reassuring me that we would work together to get my nails exactly how I want. So professional and friendly! You can tell this is a family business as they value each other and their customers so well. I used to do acrylic for years , I recently switched to Gel-X . I can go 4-5 weeks between set they feel super light and my nails remain strong and healthy love , love , my nails. All the girls here are amazing specially Rie . Best Nail place in Castro Valley!!!! read more

Have never been before. Nancy, Mary, Ríe, and Anna clearly the owner welcomed us with open Arms. They knew we Were first timers and made us feel very comfortable. It's definitely a family business with Reasonable prices and products. Small but quaint. This is the Cheers Nail Salon In CV Give it a go. The ladies of Annas had us cracking up they are a lively group. I had a basic pedi with additions. Special lotion for Tired Muscles was used a bit heavy on the menthol smell but made my legs feel Refreshed. Only thing I would like Is a menu that listed prices and all the additions. It's on the wall but a bit hard to read with glare from the chairs and understand. But that's no big thi I especially liked that we made 400pm Appts. And they had us in the chair at 4:10pm and were Apologetic that we had to wait. Give Annas a go we will definable be back. read more

maybe they were having a bad day when I went but , I would never recommend this place to anyone, my nails didn't even last a week and I got an fake toe nail put on ,and when I took it off my toe nail was black , never in my life have I went to a nail salon and got toe fungus! it's crazy I spent $120 there and I wouldn't even go back for them to fix it or even get my money back, im going to spread a awareness NEVER GO HERE read more

We moved here to Castro Valley last year looking for a place for my husband and I to get regular pedi and manicures we found Anna Nails and we love the staff here and RiRi is the person who pays attention to detail and she recommends great shape for your hands. Just got a full set and a pedicure done here today and I must say everyone was so sweet! Ri did my manicure and helped me out through the whole process of what to do since I was feeling a bit indecisive. In the end, I love my nails and the friendly vibe of the place was so genuine nothing felt forced, you can tell they love what they do. I completely recommend and the pricing, in my opinion is pretty affordable and worth it. Will be coming back! read more

I don't get manicures regularly so I didn't realize the man doing my nails was butchering them until it was too late. Basically, he used the machine for gel removal/nail buffing to completely annihilate my nails and cuticles; instead of using cuticle softener or soaking my hands in warm water, he went straight in with the machine and essentially drilled everything off. The surface of all of my nails is now ruined, and I have cut up cuticles that are bleeding and aching. I went home and put Neosporin and band-aids on all of my fingers. I can't stress enough that none of these fingers had hangnails or anything that would warrant roughness/leave them this red and bloody. Multiple staff members saw the blood and did not offer any kind of discount - they did put some rubbing alcohol on two of the fingers, but it didn't feel like enough to mitigate infection risk.

I could of gone out and got a deli sandwich sorry that's a meal right there $2 charge for using a CC which I know ok it's 2 dollars (I don't agree with especially being a business owner myself you need to just eat that cost/write off those CC fees yourself for all of your transactions you do a day. Also it's not like I was trying to pay my $5 tab I paid $79 on my card. I got no special design or any rhinestone I didn't get a copy of my receipt but I swear they must of charge a service fee for tip or tax. Now I got to spend more money on another place to fix because you know I'm not going come back for a $10 per nail fix because you know they wont fix for free having it be only 3 days. Also in the front they have a sign that says no refunds so they must rip off a lot of ppl by charging all the upcharges without informing customers of price.

It was super rushed and kind of aggressive when buffing and scrubbing. I asked her if she can take out my ingrown 2 times and she acknowledged it, poked it, and didn't remove it. Sorry that is the main reason why I need my pedicure is to remove my ingrown. I'm highly disappointed and I'm not coming back. I don't want to cause any scenes because at the end of the day they are working hard in their job.

I happened to see this little itty building and on Castro Valley Boulevard, and decided to try it out. It was the best decision I've made! The owner, Anna, is so sweet, funny and attentive! The lady who did my first set was very polite and did such a good job!! My nails were even and thickly coated! 3 weeks after our initial visit my acrylics were sticking on strong! But I needed a fill as they were outgrowing. I made an appointment this time and was seen right away, even though I was 15 minutes late! (Parking is NO JOKE!) I got a pedicure, so fabulous, I would put it up but I'm insecure about my piggies lol. I went with a pink, peachy pastel color and I'm in love again! Exactly what I wanted! I got a Gel X nail set from Anna's Nails, and they are amazing! It's been two weeks, and they still look perfect, no chips, no nails falling off, and even the gems are still intact. There's just normal growth, like anyone would have, but other than that, they still look flawless. In that time, I've traveled to another country, worked, and gone to school, and my nails have held up perfectly. I've been coming here every time I get my nails done for the past year or so, and the service is always great! The staff is super sweet and welcoming, and they always make my day when I come in. Their prices are also great for the quality you get. I've tried both acrylic and Gel X from them, and while both are really sturdy, I personally prefer Gel X because it's more lightweight. If you're looking for a great nail salon, I'd definitely recommend coming here! read more

It was my first time at Anna's nails and I will definitely be going back! I was a walk-in, but they sat me within 5 minutes. I went in with possibly the worst nail job I'd had in my life, and Emily transformed them completely. Meticulous is not sufficient a word to describe her work. She shaped and re-shaped my nails to perfection. She took the time to explain what all the different types of nails entail and I ended up with a pink and white--they look very natural. On the down side, I had to search a bit for a parking space and it was a bit pricey and took longer than I am used to (no wonder with the level of attention to detail). It was my first time here and I love how my nails came out!! I got a mani and the lady did a wonderful job on them. I can't wait to go back to get a pedi. I wish I got the lady's name who did them. I am not too sure if they have designated tables but I sat at the 2nd to the last one closest to the sink. But my technician was very attentive for my vision, was relaxed, easy-going, and reasonably priced! So rude here. Didn't want to help. The owner got upset when I didn't want to dip my nails in the same pot of nail polish remover everyone else does. How hard is it to get a cotton swab and some remover and take the nail polish off yourself? That's disgusting. And paying customers shouldn't be treated in this manner. read more

Been going to Anna for years she does a great job! I have had some very Hell-ish experiences at different nail salons in Castro Valley. Annas is a little pricey thats why I have tried to switch it up and experiment with other places but I guess there is a reason she is so pricey. You pay for quality! read more

You can tell she's very detailed and attentive, which I really appreciated. I love the shape and the overall design, they came out beautiful. The whole experience felt smooth and easy from start to finish. She was also super responsive on Instagram and answered all my questions quickly, which made me feel a lot more comfortable since I was a bit skeptical at first. I do already have a nail tech in Hayward, but after today, I'm seriously considering making the switch. Now I just want to see how long these last.. my sets usually hold up 4-5 weeks, so we'll see! But so far, I'm very impressed. Thank you again, you did a phenomenal job!

No more acrylic though, been getting natural frenchies for 4 years now. Retention is crazy! I can go 4 weeks without a mani if I really choose to. My first time with cat eye. Also, I had broken a nail and she seamlessly repaired it with poly gel. All for $75 In the blue set, can you even tell which nail was broken? Me neither ;) Also the $45 pedicure is the second tier up and for only $45 (instead of $35) you also get paraffin wax which always leaves my feet feeling so soft. Oh also sometimes I bring my dog and he's very loved there.
