Dr. Ann Thomas did reach out and offer a small gesture of kindness. So I am upping the rating to 3 stars.

Thanks to Dr. CHEN for helping me with my hand and finger issues. It may be a slow process but…read moreaccupuncture seems to help when other things didn't. Plus, Dr Chen also offered helpful thoughts and supplement suggestions from her vast knowledge of Eastern (along with Western) medicine. UPDATE 08/15/2024 In response to Sutter's remark on my…read morereview - I DID reach out to the patient advocate / Sutter. (1) I called just after the appointment. No one picked up. I left a message, but I never received a return call. (2) I responded to a survey that Sutter sent. I left my contact information. No response to that. (3) I emailed. No response to that, either. How many times does a patient need to reach out to the "patient advocate" to get any meaningful response? AND I still have never received any follow-up on the results of my exam - just some information posted to my chart that I had to Google for myself what it meant. This experience was a waste of 2 copays, my insurance benefit, and my time. I STAND BY MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. Julie A Chen, MD is incredibly cold, rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. I would never recommend her to anyone - unless you like being treated like you are nothing more to her than a copay and having a doctor who walks away from you when you're trying to ask a question. If you are scheduling so many patients that you don't have the time to review basic information / findings with a patient during the exam, then you are compromising quality of care. The ONLY positive aspect of my experience with that office is the staff at the reception desk, Daisy, was very professional, courteous, and kind.

My first visit to Dr. Bosetti was yesterday and I was very impressed with Napa Valley Eye Center…read more Yes, the reviews you read about the office are correct; it's a very busy office. However, once I got checked in which was less than 5 minutes, Dr. Bosetti came out to the waiting room and said he would be right with me...and, he was. I was taken in the back office and had 3 eye exams by the assistants before Dr. Bosetti came in. The care I received by all the staff was efficient, yet thorough. My mother has age-related macular degeneration, so I keep up with my annual eye exams. When I was filling out the required office paperwork, it said be prepared for an hour and a half to two hours for your appointment. Wow! That's unheard of unless an office isn't efficient. Not the case here. Dr. Bosetti is kind, professional and empathetic. He actually listens and is very thorough. I left with two prescriptions for an eye infection that I thought was allergy related and recommendations for supplements and drops. I felt very well taken care of and have a better understanding of my eye health. Glad I found Dr. John Bosetti.

It's time for my eye exam again. I've had good experiences with Redwood Eye Center in the past and…read morethey continue with their excellent track record. I checked in easily and quickly at the front reception desk. Had a mild wait while I scribbled out some paperwork and and then after a few more minutes, went to get my eye exam I saw Quan Dao for my exam. I've seen her twice before. The last two times were quite interesting. I had a routine eye exam and then I suggested if the prescription was simple enough that I could get it fulfilled at Costco. Oh, that was not the right decision for me. My prescription IS simple but Costco had to cut my lenses four times and they still failed. They sent me back for another eye exam to make sure my prescription was "correct". If there was a "mistake" in the prescription then I was allowed a free redo. There was no mistake in my prescription, but there was some room for a fudge factor. Which changed the prescription enough to get me a free redo at Costco. That was the whole point of the exercise. Well, the exam this time went smoothly. I suspected there was some very minor change to my prescription which showed up mostly in my nearsightedness. I felt I might benefit from some extra power in the lens there. Bingo. That was the exact result of my new exam. This was such a minor change to my prescription that Quan Dao and I debated if it was worth it to get another pair of glasses. In the end, we decided the problem could be solved with a minor upgrade in a pair of cheap readers. These cost anywhere from two bucks to 20. Then we both recalled the Costco experience and shuddered. We both agreed it was not worth going through anything like that again not for this minor prescription change. Checking out was a breeze. I just needed to pick up the printout for my new prescription and it was done.

Front desk seems like they more there to gossip with each other then help. Rude not helpful…read more Glasses take forever going to walking around blind for a while.
