There's a clear opportunity for improvement within the optical department--specifically around attention to detail and order management. On multiple visits, I've observed the same staff member struggling with routine transactions--correcting mistakes, reprocessing orders, or trying to avoid errors in real time. Unfortunately, this pattern has affected my own experience as well. Most recently, there was an issue with a lens order: the wrong item was submitted through insurance, and there was no proactive communication to address it. What followed was a series of conflicting updates--first being told the lenses were equivalent, then that they were being returned, and later that the frames were ready. But wait, didn't we give you back the frames? So do this day I paid for Glasses over six months ago and I still have not received them. The process feels unnecessarily convoluted and avoidable especially when I can dial it down to one team member. To be fair, mistakes happen in any business. The concern here is consistency and the absence of a clear system to catch and correct errors before they reach the customer. With better internal checks, training, or even thoughtful staff rotation within the department, I suspect both efficiency and overall patient satisfaction would improve significantly. This is a well-regarded practice with strong potential, and I offer this feedback in that spirit. A more detail-oriented and communicative optical experience would go a long way in matching the quality of care provided elsewhere in the office.

The measurements he obtained, not only for my significantly bad myopia (-13 diopters) and near vision, but also for my astigmatism, were perfect as I can now see all distances without contacts or glasses of any kind. After 61 years without being able to see without them, I am amazed and very happy. The surgeries proceeded exactly as he had explained they would, and I really appreciated being able to do them only one day apart so I had only the one week of recovery rather than two. I'm still waiting on my contact lens prescription 8+ days after my appointment…read more I had an eye exam and gas permeable contact lens fitting on Wednesday, December 11 and paid an additional fee for a new contact lens prescription. That fee was not disclosed upfront, even though I asked about the cost when scheduling. I was later told the delay was because the doctor was on vacation. Staffing and vacation schedules are internal matters and should not delay a patient's access to their prescription or justify charging for a service that hasn't been provided in a timely manner. I am using my mother's yelp account to leave a review. I do not wear eyeglasses and rely on contact lenses to see. I've been left unable to see properly while waiting, with Christmas a week away and needing to order lenses urgently. Charging an undisclosed fee and then taking over a week (and counting) to provide a prescription is unacceptable. I hope this office improves transparency, communication, and follow-through so other patients don't experience this.

Maybe then I would have a pair of glasses that let me see the computer screen in front of me. I can't work in these glasses. Lucky for me, I saved the old pair. I'll have to continue using my old glasses to work in. I'm not happy at all. Now I have to find another Optical company to make me another new pair of glasses...... these are way worse than the old ones. Considering the cost, I should have glasses that work for me.
