terrible place. The owner is so rude and so selfish and the teachers are so mean and the people there are really mean to. I hate it there.

If you are looking for a fantastic throwback diner counter experience with generous, delicious…read moreportions, this is the place. What I Got: * Breakfast Hash with Eggs Over Medium: Absolutely loaded! Hidden beneath perfectly prepared over-medium eggs and crispy bacon was a hearty hash tossed with a heavy serving of sautéed vegetables--onions, peppers, cherry tomatoes, and jalapeños. Wonderfully seasoned and prepared. * Hot Coffee: Served in their signature "Brunch it up" mug--kept fresh and flowing throughout the meal. Atmosphere & Service: The interior gives you that great vintage diner counter feel with clean, modern touches. Service was fast, attentive, and made the whole visit completely seamless.

Brunch It Up (possibly in the middle of rebranding to just "Brunch.") is a classic breakfast spot in downtown Milwaukee...we were there on a Sunday morning...high brunch time, and were seated quickly upstairs. The place had an overall run-down vibe to it...scuffed paint on the walls and a general feeling of not quite matching the quality of the upscale brunch spot implied by their modern logo. Menus...I normally don't comment on the menu itself but our table featured no less than 4 different menus...the regular menu, a drink menu, a specials menu and a mimosas menu...choices are wonderful, but the immediate reaction is this is a whole mess of menus on the table, and I don't know what to look at first. It felt haphazard. Let's move on to the coffee...Coffee is an essential part of the brunch experience. Even at a diner, you want it to be strong...the mug it came in was nice, but it was weak coffee. I need coffee to kick my butt, and if you're serving what's close to "browned water" at a breakfast place, you're missing the mark. How about the food? I can't fault them for the generosity of the portions, but will say individual dishes were way too much for my wife and I...we wish smaller portions were available, so so much didn't go to waste. My wife had the Egg and Waffle sandwich with waffle fries. It was fine. I had the Harvest Hash made with egg whites...the eggs were a little overcooked. (Egg whites require a thoughtful touch when cooking them so they are finished white and not browning all over.) There are plenty of fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, and peppers in there (I guess that's the extent of the harvest in Milwaukee) The hashbrowns it all sat on were undercooked. We were excited about the croissant beignets...Available were the regular ones with chocolate or strawberry dipping sauce, and a special with a fruit dipping sauce. They couldn't mix and match sauces, so we got the special. They were okay but a bit over-fried, losing the croissant texture altogether ...I mean, there's nothing wrong with deep-fried dough with sweet things to dip them in, but we do wish they hadn't fried the croissant out of them to give us the unique experience implied by the name. The menu has plenty to choose from...every breakfast savory or sweet thing you could imagine...and on the nicely designed, modern-looking menu at looks like it could be amazing...but everything we got, plus the experience of sitting in a place that felt a little rundown, left us overall disappointed.

Date of visit: July 2026…read more NOT PARTICULARLY HD FANS We're not into Harley Davidsons or motorcycles at all for that matter, but while in Milwaukee, it seemed like the thing to do. Having visited the museum, (We spent 5 hours there, including lunch at the restaurant) I will say I 'get it' and have much more of an appreciation for the bikes and the HD community. LOCKERS AVAILABLE We purchased our tickets at the front desk and checked our bags and water into a locker (No need to have money for a locker). If you're visiting in the summer, don't leave your sweater in the locker as the museum was SO COLD! Restrooms are also in this area. WHAT TO EXPECT You will learn about the beginnings and history of HD, their rapid growth, learn about the different parts of the bikes, see hundreds of bikes through the years, see the progression of the HD logo, see a wall of different colored gas tanks (I loved this!) and be able to sit on some bikes. There are info boards to read and it never felt too crowded. ON-SITE RESTAURANT If you get hungry, there's a restaurant next to the river. There was a wait time, but we sat at the bar immediately. I will say, there weren't really healthy options on the menu. We had a burger. HARLEY GIFTS GALORE There's a gift shop across the 'campus' from the main museum. A/C TOO COLD Like I mentioned before, my main complaint was that the museum was WAY too cold, which made the experience slightly miserable. Other than that, it was very interesting and I'd recommend a visit. I'm now completely FASCINATED every time I encounter a Harley on the street! Helpful?

Pretzel plate was delicious and drinks we good and great service. However, we hit here again on the way back from our trip Sunday afternoon and the server was horrible. I'm sorry to say because I'm sure she had a lot going on, but we said something about the chili being on the cold side and she did not offer to maybe reheat or get us something else. She just said, "I don't know what happened" and walked away. Took my drink away and didn't ask if I wanted another. I had to hunt her down to get a drink or order food. Maybe she was overwhelmed but just service is a hit or miss here.

The older woman cashier named Frankie made one sandwich instead of 2 that I asked for. So I KINDLY said, " no I wanted 2", she began to SCREAM EXTREMELY LOUD, yelling " I ASKED YOU, I ASKED YOU HOW MANY YOU WANT AND YOU SAID ONE" from the other side of the store! COMPLETELY BELLIGERENT! I kept my composer and she continued to SCREAM at me at the register. I said that I didn't want this sandwich either because of how she was talking to me and placed it at on the counter and she COMPLETELY LIED and said that I threw it at her. (LOOK AT THE CAMERA, SHE'S A LIER)Then she walked from behind the counter to the back and said something about Black and color while she was walking away. She's previously made a pizza that I ordered WITHOUT WEARING GLOVES and when I said something about it she said the heat will kill the germs! CRAZY!! I've seen here fight with a co-worker in front of customers while I was in the store. This lady is UNHINGED and SHOULD NOT be working with the public. She's putting Speedway and ALL of her co workers at risk! I usually avoid her at all cost when I'm in the store or bypass the store all together when I see her working. She is CONSTANTLY RUDE to me and other's customers in the store and I don't deserve that inhumane treatment.

My daughter has a family membership to DW, so I'm a frequent guest. We always take a trip up to the Pilot House and then outside onto the high deck for terrific views of the lake, SF grounds, and everything else in the harbor (including a Milwaukee Fire Dept. fireboat). Staff are always welcoming and so very attentive to the children. We always make a stop at the food kiosk to get a snack (a selection of the usual packaged snack foods along with hot dogs and pizza). My biggest complaint is how slow and long the check-in process is. There's usually only one person at the check-in desk, and many days there need to be two. There's a line for members, but unless there are two staff members at the desk, what difference does it make? We waited with everyone else today, which makes having a membership feel like less of a great thing. But there still needs to be a quicker process. Today while I was at the front desk I watched a woman purchase tickets online, and even that was such a long and involved process I think i would've quit and gone home.

We came here on a Saturday and it was moderately busy yet we were able to see everything in a few hours. There are plenty of hands-on activities throughout for all ages and exhibits highlighting local individuals and companies as well. It's hard to say what my favorite area was because I enjoyed everything, but the aquariums, weather/ storm area and the corporate exploration station stick out in my mind as where I had the most fun personally. We didn't shop around the food or gift shop area but that could be an area we explore more next time. Discovery World is well worth the price of admission and the entire family is guaranteed to have fun while learning something new!
