My pets have been pampered Animal Castle for over 15 years. Tina has been so kind to my dogs and she does wonderful work. My newest dog is a rescue who was mistreated and is a biter. Tina is so good with him and is able to calm him down. I have always had great experiences with Animal Castle and I can highly recommend them. read more

Debbie again, fabulous with our Shih-tsu Marlee! Thanks for trimming and filling down her nails again and we love her puppy cut!

Debi, at the Centerville location, does an excellent job grooming and caring for our "anxious & nervous" dog!!

Been going to Debi for years at the Centerville location for cat grooming and she does amazing on my moody long haired cat. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I took my pup for a regular groom, he was there for five hours. When I picked him up, I was told he was very difficult to groom. His coat was a mess, cut noticeably uneven in several places. It was obvious he was in distress. I was also told he would need to be medicated if they were going to groom him again. Oh hell no, he won't. I don't know what went wrong, but we won't ever be going there again. read more

I love Animal Castle. The ladies are very nice. They take great care of your pet. Price is not outrageous.

This was my initial visit. I had been with a place I had been going to but the distance was really too far ..... Animal Castle was 5 min from my house I took my miniature poodle with a drop off around 11:30 on a Saturday and pick her up around 2..... she looked great Smelled wonderful and cut to specs. I would recommend ......they loved Bella Very relaxed place as like most poodles she does have anxiety issues.... She is spoiled of course and was fine when I picked her up Mike was her groomer Thanks Mike read more

Absolutely horrified, I own two doodles and get them groomed probably every three weeks. We just moved to the area and we're looking for a new groomer. We asked for a bear cut and to have my one doodles hair plucked out of his ears. I dropped them off at 9:45 in the morning. When I called at 4 o'clock Only one of my dogs had been done and the other was going to be completed. When I picked them up my dog had been completely shaved to the bone. No one said anything to me when I called no one asked permission. When I picked him up and brought him home he's shaking and peeing and very skittish. He seems completely terrified. To top it all off I was charged double of what I've ever paid before and his ears were not even plucked. absolutely horrible experience I cannot believe the audacity of this groomer. I am absolutely irate. read more

I am new to Ohio, have been here almost a year. I searched for a good spot to groom our fur babies. Our Luna is a low maintenance dog, so pretty much needs just a bath, ear cleaning and nails trimmed. No problem with her at all. Our Zoey a 12 lb Maltese mix, I explained I had prior problems with uneven cuts. I took our kiddos a total of 4 times, I was completely happy with 3 of the 4 cuts. paying $110. for both dogs not counting tip. the 4th time, I go to pick them up and Zoey is a complete mess. The older lady that works in front seemed a bit ruffled. Explained that the dog washer didn't show up and it was just her and our dogs groomer Brittany there that day. They pointed out the obvious that Zoey was a mess! Claimed Zoey wouldn't stand still. Mind you Zoey is 10 years old and is used to normal regular grooming. I paid the bill regardless. Yet it bothered me. So prior to making another appointment, I called and spoke to who was to be the owner. I requested some type of credit to put to the next grooming and as denied. I explained, I would find another groomer and, still they didn't care. I went today to Furry Friends, and was told (what I already knew) Zoey is amazing, she stood completely still and...to no surprise, her cut was AMAZING...AND CHEAPER! beware of any type of business that doesn't give a darn about CUSTOMER SERVICE! SHAME ON YOU! read more

We called this morning because we could not get the mats out of my cats fur. It only took about 10 mins for the nice groomer lady to get the mats out, trim her nails, shave her rump and comb her out. Easy peasy. Simple and fast. The dogs being groomed there looked nicely done and atmosphere was calm and chill even for my cat being surrounded by dogs and buzzing sounds. Will go again if needed. read more

after the terrible experience that I had with Animal Castle Patterson Road, I have spoken with other dogs owners in our neighborhood while walking and found out that many others had the same horrible experience I did. this is not a good grooming business from the way they took care of my Great Pyrenees. I would say they're not a dog grooming business at all a different groomer told me that they are well known as doing bad work and i want to warn as many people as possible to avoid them. I wish I had known and not gone to this terrible place. read more

I don't know how they treat small dogs but I brought my husky in for a bath and to have his undercoat brushed out and 2 1/2 hours later they called for him to be picked up because he was "aggressive ". We I got there, he was cowering in the back of a cage while the staff was grabbing the other dogs to keep them safe. Now he was either overly aggressive or scared to death. He couldn't have been both. They should keep their story straight or admit that a large dog is too much work for the lazy staff. read more

I take my ratchi to one on Patterson rd. to get his nails clipped. They are great with him, if has to go to vet, needs a muzzle, Not once has Animal castle needed to put muzzle on him, I wont take him anywheres else to get his nails clipped. Love this place read more

I've been taking my pups to Chrissy at Animal Castle for several years now. One is a 7yr old Schnorkie and the other an almost 4yr old Miniature Schnauzer. My pups always get excited when they realize where we're going and Chrissy does an amazing job with them. Its very apparent Chrissy, as well as the rest of the staff, are all big dog lovers, as they dote on my pups like crazy. They're usually there for several hours, so it gives me time to run errands that I need to take care of and both of them seem content and happy when I pick them up. Pricing seems fair...but I honestly don't put a lot of thought into that part of it, as I had taken the 7yr old to other places prior to finding Chrissy, and was never happy with his cut and he always seemed stressed when I picked him up. Ive heard stories about what ppl do at OTHER groomers, but know my babies are safe at Animal Castle, which is so so important to me. I can't say enough great things about them...They're the best in town for sure and I highly recommend them!! read more

I took my dog to Animal Castle for grooming since I had to cancel our appointment at our regular groomer due to a death in my family and my regular place didn't have any availability until after the new year. Animal Castle was able to fit my dog in the day I called, which was great. They did a fine job grooming my dog, her cut looks good, she smelled nice, her eyes were still a bit crunchy and I cleaned them at home...BUT she was there from 10:30 - 4... which is way too long for her to be locked up in a crate with no attention. I was a bit peeved it took that long since I was told she would be there about 3 hours. I know my dog and I know what she can handle and I shared info about her barking if left alone at dropoff. Anyway, I finally called and pushed the pick up time..they called me at 3:45 to pick her up. When I arrived, I was told she spent most of the day quietly and lying down...which was NOT true because her bark was hoarse for 2 days following her visit. I would prefer to hear the truth otherwise I dont have a lot of respect for you. Will I return to Animal Castle? Probably not, unless they can promise a 3 hour visit...it's not worth the stress for my diva. I wish it wouldve been a better experience, because they are very close to my home. In conclusion, I do recommend Animal Castle if you have a chill dog who can handle a lot of time in a crate in a back room. They do a fine job grooming and are friendly and competitively priced. read more

Pretty average. My dog absolutely hates going and they take a very very long time (9AM-3PM) but she always looks great. Wish they'd let me take my dog home quicker so she wouldn't be freaking out for 6 hours. read more

I bring my dogs here to get a bath and a haircut every time. They are a small, family owned grooming shop. You can tell everyone there loves dogs. They are very flexible with with when it comes to pick up times and the kind of haircuts I want my dogs to get! They are pretty cheap too. read more
